Good morning. Is it fall in LA yet? It has a split personality. Some days it is absolutely freezing. Days like today, Okay. It's in the eighties. You can tell I just came back from hiking and jumped out of a hot shower. So I am bright pink. Do not worry about me people. I'm fine, but it's, we're having that whole October West coast, Indian summer right now. How about you in the Northeast today? We're like 82. So I feel like I'm with you in LA. I am very confused because we're supposed to be in fall, but you know what, I think this is what we call a transitional period. A change is in the air, one minute it's cold, one minute it's warm. And I think a lot of people are confused what to do, not just what to wear, but, what to do with your makeup. What do you put on? How do you go from this summer into the warmer weather? What little changes and tweaks should we make? So let's talk about that. Let's talk about it. It's true. So many people are starting to feel like, okay, my skin feels like it has a split personality. Maybe it's time to change a foundation formula. Should I be doing powder, no powder, changing up my skincare? My tan is What do I do? My summer bronzer looks orange and it's walking into, we're walking into Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's. And I feel like people, and you tell me, Susan, and tell me listeners if I'm off, but it seems like people are either totally sitting the holidays out this year, or they're going gangbusters. It seems it's one of the other, one or the other, I should say. It, there's definitely a lot of transition and a lot of energy in the air. So change is good. I think change is good. Soothing. I think it can be soothing. Sometimes turning to makeup in times where we're feeling a little angst is a way of self soothing. So I don't think there's anything wrong with that. No, and I think that there's certain products that, your skin just isn't going to want anymore as the days maybe get a little cooler. Our skin sometimes gets a little dryer, all these kinds of basic things that we know. But I thought what we would do is go through today and do this together and share our naked faces. I think we both just have moisturizer on and nothing else. Yep. Which, it's funny, right before we hopped on, I was scrolling through Instagram and I guess Drew Barrymore all week has been wearing no makeup on her show and she's had Gail on and Pam Anderson was on with her new cookbook and Jillian Anderson and a whole bunch of guests and Valerie Bertinelli and all great women, over 40, all great women, all great people, and none of them wearing makeup. And I was just watching a clip and I thought, wow, it really having. worked in television for a long time in makeup. I will tell you that. Yeah. That's, it's pretty brave because those lights and those HD cameras are not forgiving. It makes people think, oh, there's, they're really brave in a way. Yeah, it is because they're being scrutinized, all over the world by everyone looking at them. But I just love they, first of all, they all looked great. And I think they all were pretty comfortable, but it's just so funny. We could talk for hours about it. And I think we'll do our makeup and our product while we're talking, but. It was just so funny like seeing the comments and Instagram people were like half the people were like, oh, they need makeup immediately and they look terrible. And other people were like, this is so refreshing. I'm like you, I don't wear any makeup when, when I'm at work or so it was a real 50, 50 split. But I just think it's so funny in this day and age that People think that it's like the biggest deal in the world not to wear any makeup, so I don't know. It was just really, it was really cool. And I thought Hiller and I are going on life gloss today and we're naked face. We're just, we're gonna, we're going to show you something we like, And history tells the story of, we go in waves with makeup and with beauty 100 percent from our earliest recordings to, we see church documents and social calendars and social leaflets and ladies meeting notes from all the way back from the 16, 17, 1800s and beauty and makeup. Is always a topic of conversation. So the way we adorn ourselves seems to be just a pivotal part of who we are as humans and Coming up soon. We have someone very exciting coming on to talk about the psychology of beauty. Yes Susan Oh, thank you. Thank you for arranging this. I am I'm already making notes. I'm on pins and needles. I can't wait for dr. Ann Yes, buckle up life flossers we'll tease more at the end, but yeah, there's a psychology to changing seasons. There's a psychology to beauty and we're bringing a psychologist on. Yeah. We're bringing the industry, the cosmetic industry expert. So that being said, yes, I'm, I think I'm still in shock, but let's go through some of this stuff. I'm going to be working with my magnifying mirror here and go through three products and you're going to go through three products and I'm going to show everybody and I know you're doing the same hill three products that I'm really loving and why. They are my products from, holding on to summer and that beachy feel good natural makeup look that I love. The formulas are a little different. They're a little more nourishing. And they'll make me feel like I'm still on a beach, but yet I will look like maybe a little bit more by the fireplace like I ever sit. Okay. So let's tell our audience what we're each going for. So they understand. So Susan's kind of going for the, I holiday, 33, 365 days a year. I've just transitioned from my private island. And yes, I'll pay. Yes. Oh, I am Aspen a praise ski, or maybe you're just stalled a praise ski. Yes. And you're around a fire. You're entertaining guests, Pre holiday and you're doing a little mountain thing. I am? That sounds like a lot of work. It's so much work. That's why we're doing this instead. That's a lot of work, Hill. I didn't like when you were going at first with that and then you had to bring up And I'm like, Oh God maybe you're just the guest of honor. I'm going to be the guest. Yeah. So we just okay. So in my fake magic world, I just flew in from Maui and the weather has changed. The beach days are over and now, yes, I'm going to go to my ski house. in Aspen or no, I don't want to go to Aspen. We're now your stall and your show. And I'm going to sit by the fire and really good looking. People are going to bring me things like hot toddies and things like that. Yeah, that, that's what I'm going to do. But before I land and get there, I need to make sure that I look fresh and young and beautiful. You need to swap out your makeup bag. I got to swap out my makeup because it was really humid where I was in summery and now I'm going someplace where it's probably going to be a little bit drier and definitely colder. So you know what I'm putting on right now. You know it. So I have to keep the glow going and I also have to hydrate. I know, you're like, let me guess, my Barbra Strum glow drops. Dr. Barbara, as I affectionately call her these glow drops are everything to me. I use these every day. year round though, year round. But if I want to lock in the hydration and add a little bit of glow to my skin, which is what I want to do right now, this is what I need. So my moisturizer first, then this, because I'm that dry. Got it. Got it. Let's see, in my perfect fantasy world, I'm probably coming from, busy somewhere, summer somewhere, gallivanting, country hopping, let's say, warm tropical Mediterranean. And I'm getting ready to get down to business for the fall. And let's say I'm probably going to be hitting some of the major metropolis. I'm probably going to be hitting some of the major metropolitan cities, and I'm feeling like I need a more ladylike look. If you guys remember a few episodes ago, I said I thought that this was going to be my being more ladylike here. I'm leaving my foray into the bohemian. Which never really fit me if anyone knows me and I'm moving back into something more ladylike, which does not mean done. It does not mean a full beat. I'm going more with the European aesthetic. So it's finished. And polished, but almost as a second thought it's effortless. So that means I'm bringing some things back into my rotation. That might surprise you. So I too, I started with my blue copper by first and foremost. And now I'm hydrating. I've been loving, I think we've talked about this, the Olivier. Flat, meaty, like that. Yeah, I do. And I keep going back to it. I really enjoy the feel of it. And it's just lovely. It soaks in, but it's also hydrating enough that I feel like it hits all the areas. Yeah. It gives a nice glow. What are you doing? I, so speaking of glow, I'm adding even more glow. So what I'm doing. Because I, I feel for fall, often fall doesn't have to be like, you need to put on a ton of products. So I'm doing a face actually. All kidding aside, I'm, I'm not in Europe skiing, but I'm home. I'm going running errands, whatever. And this is what I do every day in the fall. I'm going to be honest. So after I do my skincare, I like to switch up. And obviously I have an SPF on too. I should have clarified that, but oftentimes I'll use a tinted moisturizer, in the summer and I'll use one year round, I'm a huge fan of that because I hate the feel of heavy. foundation. I figure I take really good care of my skin. I don't mind my skin poking through my foundation. That being said, I also want something very dewy and that is extremely hydrating without feeling like I have anything on my face, which is a huge, tall order because as Most hydrating foundations or most mature foundations tend to be very thick, very heavy and very full coverage, which drives me crazy. So the one thing found that I'm using, and actually I'm using the brush that comes with it. Is the Le Beige Water Tint from Chanel. Okay. This product comes with a beautiful little brush. And believe it or not, the brush it comes with is spectacular. I, it is a foundation, but it is a very sheer foundation. Light, glowy, super hydrating foundation. It feels like literally it feels like water on your skin. I'm using the shade medium light because it will give me a little pop of color. That's something else I find. Be careful as we mature and be careful as you go into the fall of choosing something too light. Sometimes get a foundation that might be a hair too deep for me. Will give me a little color. Just make sure you're doing what I'm doing and doing your feather strokes to make sure there's no lines of demarcation. But this is super hydrating, super lightweight, sheer. Glowy. But very little coverage. So if you feel you need more coverage go in with a concealer on top. And you can go ahead and add that. I'm not going to today. I'm just gonna do a sheer wash of the foundation and I just put it everywhere. But it actually feels like you're putting a cool water on your face, but it's so hydrating. I love this product, and it comes in a bunch of shades. They make one that's a little bit of a fuller coverage, and they say that one's sort of their concealer version. But I'll sometimes use that one for evening, or if I do want a little more coverage than this one gives I'll use that one. So there's two versions. But this is a water tent and my God, I love it. See, do you like that? Yeah. Beautiful. It's good, right? It's really good. It's really good. It's beautiful. So that's your first thing. Yeah, that's my first thing. My first thing I want to talk about, you guys may have noticed. I want to talk about eyelash curlers. This is the one thing that is, it's so easy to leave this out, but if you curl your eyelashes, it will immediately, it is like a pushup bra for your whole face. It's going to lift your cheeks. You're going to look happier, you look more cheerful, you look more kept, you look more polished. You don't even necessarily have to put a whole lot of mascara on. Sometimes even a clear brow mascara is fine, but a curled lash is a big deal. So people are always asking which brand of lash curler is the best. That's not necessarily the right question. The question is, what is the shape of your eyeball. How does your eyeball sit in the socket? Some people's sit quite round. Some people sit more flat. Some people have a protruding occipital bone up here. So if you'll notice, I am suggesting that you guys actually go into a store as much as you can and try Eyelash curlers. See which ones fit your face. Do you see how deep that you is? Here I'll put it right. See how deep that you put my glasses on. Which one is this Hil? So I'll tell you. So see how deep that you is? And then In comparison, do you see how shallow this is like the American you and this is like a very European, you it's yeah, they're very different. So these are going to fit. This is for someone that has a deep set eye. This is also high right here. So for me, my eye isn't super deep set, but it is more on the round side. But for me, this, there's a little too much metal here for me to actually get in there. So it makes it harder for me. If you have a deep set, I, this is the young blood. This one is a little bit, it's harder to find. It's pretty deep. It's harder. It's hard to find an eyelash curler for a deep set. This one Which is for more of a wide set broad eye, which like for you, Susan, this is going to be great for you because you have, this might be too wide, but it, yeah, it looks a little wide for me. It's a little white, but this one is better for someone that's a little flatter and flat is not bad. Deep is not good. Just it's anatomy people. But like for me, this one, Which is the Shiseido is good. Yeah, it gives you flexibility. This is pretty universal. You can't really go wrong with this Shiseido because it will be exposed eyes and you can turn it. Sometimes I'll turn it a little bit. It's a little flat for me. It won't go into my inner corners. I have to turn it for my inner corners. Yeah, so I found one that's in the middle and this one is the Surratt so This one is very a very deep you yeah, this is a slightly less of a U if you compare them. It's a little broader. See how deep that goes in there? See how that's a little broader? And then this one, the Shiseido one, is quite flat. So it actually makes a difference because you want these points to hit Otherwise you're getting a weird kink mid lash and that can drag your eye down, especially if you have a hooded eyes. So for all of my hooded sisters or people that have lost a little bit of, the perkiness in their outer corner, take a look at your lash curler. First of all, use one. Secondly, get a curler. Fitted for an eyelash curler. I know it sounds crazy. I know it sounds like a lot of work. No I think much time go to the department store Or you can even buy these on amazon. You can try them at home You can send back the ones that don't work for you. I use the shiseido. I also have a chanel one that I like and I find that to be a good fit, but i've just pretty much always used the shiseido. Yeah You And it's always been pretty universal. Yeah. It seems to work well, but I like that one. I might pick that up. It's nice because it's good for an eye that isn't quite so broad, but you can see not only does it get. My corners, but it gives a really nice curl too. Yeah That's a nice sometimes if i'm being a little naughty. I'll show you guys. This is a fun little Oh boy. I can't believe I did that. This is a fun little trick Sometimes if i'm being a little lazy or a little naughty i'll take you know, any sort of an eyeliner here Oh, wait, I might have an eyeliner. I do sometimes I'll take a little cream shadow or I'll even take a little eyeliner and I'll just put it on my pad. Whoops. I'm not showing you guys. I'll take it onto my pad here and then it's like an old makeup artist trick. Stamp. And I'll just stamp it. It's hard to do. Yeah. When I'm looking in funny places. Hang on. And it gives you a little tiny bit. Of a lash. There you go. Yeah, it's a lazy tight lines, but without really depositing a whole lot and it gets it right in there into the lash line. I haven't done that in a long time. Yeah. All right. All right. Look at you go. You look like you had a double macchiato. Look at you go. All right, so what's number two for you? I love a bronzer and I tend to be a little bit more of a peaches and cream complexion, a true light peach complexion. A little bit of cool undertone, a little bit of warm overtone, but It is really hard to find bronzers that when you tend to be on the lighter side that don't turn orange as we know. So many of them are so warm and we've had the discussion before how the whole world now is everything is so warm but yet when I've tried to do more like a sort of cool toned bronzer it looks so gray and terrible. So over the years I've managed to find a couple that work for me. And my skin tone. But I think would really, they tend to be more along the neutral tones. And I think I really, like these shades a lot because they're not too orange which can be really tricky to find. Also, I personally in the summer, I might use a powder bronzer, but in the winter and the cooler months, a hundred percent of cream bronzer. Don't be afraid of cream bronzers. Okay. They are so beautiful. They give such a natural glow. You can shade and contour with them. You can give it all over glow with them. But I don't have a lot of time for contouring nonsense during the day when I'm running out the door. Here's an idea though. I think ahead to what lip I'm doing. Meaning, am I going to be doing a lip that has a shimmer to it? Or am I doing something that has no shimmer, either a matte or a gloss without any shimmer in it? If that's the case, then I will use a bronzer that has a little bit of a shimmer or highlight in it. If I'm using a lip that is very shimmery or does have a little bit of a payoff, a glow to it, I will use a cream bronzer that does not have that. Shimmer and or very low, more of a matte cream. That way I'm getting more three dimensional makeup. I can't, I have a pet peeve when I see disco ball face, meaning shimmer on the eye, shimmer on the cheek, shimmer on the lip. And I know you feel the same way, Hill. So think about it, ladies, when you're out there and you're balancing your makeup in the morning, or you're like grabbing your lip. I think I had what lip I don't know about you Hill, but I designed, you My makeup in my head, even if I'm only using two or three products with the lip first. So I always choose my lip shade first, and then I work backwards. It just, it always works for me. It's foolproof. So because later I'm showing you my fabulous new lip product that I've fallen in love with, it doesn't have shimmer. So I'm not going to use my old standby Chanel. Okay. My cream bronzer from Chanel, which I should be using the official names, but that means I have to put my readers back on. And I should know this because I helped launch this product back in the day. This is the Le Beige healthy glow. Okay. They now come in different shades, which is, they should have done that in the beginning. But this one is the the original one. It's just the tan bronze. Beautiful. I know you have this in your kit. You use this. Everybody uses this. It's so good. And you know what I love? Now they make this small travel size versus the big dog. And I'm telling you, This size is so much better because you can take it with you. And I haven't even gone through like half of it yet. So I love this bronzer. It gives that gorgeous glow. If I was going to have a shimmer lip, but because I don't have a shimmer lip, I get to use my favorite. So my favorite is the Westman Atelier, the super loaded tinted highlight. Is that what it's called? Wait a minute. Oh my God. I can't even see anymore. Super loaded tinted highlight. Oh, I did get it right in the pot de soleil. Okay. Oh my God. Ready? Ready. I take a big fluffy brush. Use something synthetic. Because you're using a cream product and it just doesn't absorb into the hairs as much and it lays down nice Swirl it around You don't even need to pick up much. And by the way, this product has lasted me I haven't even gotten to the bottom of the pan and it's and I use it every day and you are really moving that brush in there. It's almost a year old hill. You know, I love her. Okay, this is how I apply it. I bounce on the cheek huh And then I swoop up and then I come in and I do little circle scoops and then I go right under and then I come around and I come in and I go up and then pop. That's it. That's all I do. And then if I'm feeling really foxy, I might go back in and do a little across the lids, which I love. Yep. I tend to focus more here. I leave the center blank as much as I can. Cause that's where my brain is and it's usually empty anyway. So as if I had to, sorry. No, what it does is by creating emptiness here and a little bit of emptiness through here, it actually accentuates. The rest of the face really nicely. Pretty. Sometimes the spaces that we leave empty are the most dramatic. Oh, absolutely. Remember that. That was one of the best tips I ever got. So sometimes I just go right across. Like I have been at the beach. Yeah. That's it, my friend. That's so I get a little definition and a whole lot of glow. Very pretty. I know it's, I have to tell you, you don't hear me often say it's the best, but this is the best tinted pretty highlighting bronze. It's like a highlight combo bronzer highlight. I have used this on deep skin tones and I've used it on light skin tones and everything in between and it is just, the best. Wonderful. Oh, I love it. See, I'm gonna have to come, I'm gonna have to come to class with more color next time because my little transitions, I think because I am doing more of a lady like thing for fall, there will be color, But I need to make sure the skin looks good first. So I need to make sure the foundations are in place first. For example, the lashes need to be pristine because we may or may not be wearing mascara. So my next thing is these lip lines. So I'm going to be wearing some lipstick this season. And I'm going to show you one that it's going to take you way back, but I'm going to be wearing some lipstick. I'm going to be going a little dark. I'm going a little nineties. I'm having a little fun lady like we'll see, but I technically shouldn't be because of these hereditary lip lines. I think, I think my genes. I also think the 90s, whatever it is, what it is, we keep got to keep moving. So I'm on a mission to see what can be done here. I do have a clear Lip liner, like a few brands make clear lip liners and they're designed to make your lips stay in place and not bleed. I find that they're, here's something fun. I'm gonna show you a few different things. Here's something fun that I found in an eye set. This is an ell brow grooming pencil. It's waxy. So I will sometimes take it right into these creases and pat it in. It's like a shellac and it fills it in. So I'll do that one. Or there's another option. That really does. Wow. That really does. It fills in and it blurs and then I can put makeup on top of it. I can do it over or under. And you can use it on your brows too. Yeah. And Trini London, and then also Mally, I forgot to grab my Mally, Trini of London has this miracle blur is what she calls it. And I pick it up like this and I pick it up literally like spackle. And I take it and I push it. You can see it's like midnight at the wax museum, right? I smile so I can get it in there and then I press it into all the little pores around here too because you don't want to have a blurred line here and then see pores here that's weird. So then I'll push it in and that helps to soften as well. So you can do a few different things but I find in a pinch I can even use a brow wax. So if you guys have a brow wax rolling around, go grab it and try it before you buy something else. Otherwise, Trini or Mally have these little like blotting pastes that fill in lines pretty nicely. Yeah, I feel better. It's and it's so fresh and natural. Like you don't see it at all. And then I can go in with a lip, which this is not my third thing, but Susan, I can't help but show you. Can you guess what I'm going to show you? I don't know. I probably could, but I don't want to spoil. We're going back. We're going in the way back machine. Oh my God. Face. com cranberry. Yes. Huh. Carolyn besets lip. Huh. That is such a pretty color. And notice I'm using no lip liner. You don't need to. You just did that and it's perfect. Oh, I forgot how much I love that color. It's perfect to this day. It really is. That's a beautiful shade. It's a beautiful shade. It's such a good shade. And mind you, I have no foundation on people. I have just my little lip blur. And this isn't pretty much the look that I'm going for, but I will tell you there is a third thing that I'm doing. Shall I show you and then you'll show your third? Sure. You're not going to believe this. Okay. I'm trying powder for fall. Oooh. Figure that lady like finish. I've been doing all the tinted moisturizers for so long, and I'm looking for that suedey velveteen finish, but I don't want a lot of coverage. So I'm not gonna go for a foundation. that has a matte dry down. I don't want that much coverage. So what I'm experimenting with is what they used to do in the twenties. So for example, in the twenties and thirties, All they did was they would put their ponds on, depending on what kind of coverage they wanted. If they wanted light coverage, they'd put their ponds on, they'd blot it off, let it soak in. It was very slightly, hydrated on the skin. Then they'd powder the heck out of their faces and brush it off. If they wanted more coverage, they would slather it on. It would be heavier. They would let it sit in for a second. They would not blot it out. They would pack that powder on and then brush it off. And they would almost have a full coverage foundation. So people think foundation didn't exist. Oh yes, it did. When you pack powder on top of this is, an oil, you guys, this is an original. That's like a salve. So when you pack powder on top of that, it's going to turn into a cream on the skin. So I've used. Just my little light oils. I've given it so much time to sit in, set in. And I have a few different powders and I'm going to try setting powders, finishing powders. I'm going to play with a lot of different powders and see how it goes. But shall we do the Chanel? This is. I was just I'm sitting here thinking every powder you just held up I have in my kit. The Chanel powders are still I will say this forever. The French know how to mill their powders. Do your Lancôme Chanel Beautiful powders beautiful That one size powder that you just pulled I purchased that For my daughter's homecoming makeup that I did last week as a setting powder It doesn't have any color payoff. It's really a nice Loose powder. I like it. Let's try that one. I like it. i'm sure our audience has been seeing this everywhere You Yeah. Cause they've nice. It's nice. And, I actually did a little video on this because it's similar in ingredients to some of the powders they were using in the twenties and the thirties. It has help in the top of the deck. So it's going to give you that really smooth that's why you're absorbing. Yep, and that's why people are getting that really smooth finish. So this is what I'm experimenting with. So you're going very 90s with your fall makeup with just a nude eye, the cranberry stain, Carolyn Bissette lip, and like more of a matte finish. That's what's happening today. We're gonna yeah you and I'm pushing it into my brow. You look like me from the 90s. Pardon? You look like me from the 90s. We met in the 90s. I know I love this. And you'll notice I've pushed it into Pardon me. I pushed it into my Lashes as well because then if I decide to go With any mascara. I already have a powder base. It's like a pre lash. It's really nice. But it's very velvety that powder. I thought they did a really good job. Yeah, it's the talc. It's got a nice velvet finish to it. I like it. I think it's cool, right? Yeah, it's a nice powder. I'm pleased with it. I am pleased with it. And then I can just go back in if I want and add a little on our lip. Yeah, that lipstick always made such a beautiful blush because it's so sheer and glowy. I gotta order one of those. I love that color. It's really good. And it looks good on so many skin tones. It really does. And it makes me miss her. She was so great. Wow. It's beautiful Hill. Cool. Really pretty. And very fall, fresh, very fall fresh. And the powder is set in. I can missed it. If I want, I can come in with a little extra oil on my hands and press in. I have, that's it. Yeah. I curled my lashes. Yeah, I filled in the road map travels from my lips to my nose And very pretty I love this hill It's so fresh And honestly if you were to do this makeup from start to finish, you know Do your skincare curl your lashes put the lip on toss some powder and a little cheek That's like a three minute makeup out the door and you look very fall fresh. I love this Thank you. What do you guys think audience? I love it. It's beautiful. What do our light glossers think? Yeah, it's the easiest in the world. Yeah, we were simple in the 90s. We twisted our hair up. We tied a scarf on. Were we though? I don't know. That felt dramatic, but I think when we look at it compared to today, think of the few products we had. Yeah, that's true. We, I don't think we wore as much, maybe. Some days we did and some days we did. I think it depends. I don't know. It depends on the day. So yeah, so I'm the same as you, but more glowy, more, not giving up. The summer and this is what I this makes me feel Alive as I move into the fall. It makes me feel fresh. So my little Foundation water tint my little bronzer and highlight combo. That's my second product and my third product You ready? Oh, yeah, I am so into this brand I just found them and they are called Refy very small little niche brand found them in Sephora and what drew me to this, let's face it. I've never met a gloss. I don't love. I'll admit it. I'm a gloss. A holic. My name is Susan. But I have to say. The packaging drew me in because it was very minimal 90s Prada esque chic. The price point made me pause 20 for lip gloss, which in a Sephora or department store is almost unheard of. And I was a little, I was drawn to this. And then I started looking at the colors and when I looked at the names of the colors and then I saw them, they look so deep, but yet go on. So I should have brought all of them. I think there's only five shades, but the two I bought, and what I love about this gloss is there's no shimmer. But it's a, but they're very natural, warm, yet cool, nudish, brownish tones. From the deepest skin tone can wear these, to the fairest skin tone. They are universal glosses for everyone. The two shades I pulled, one is called Taupe, which, talking about 90s, this drew me right in. And the other one is called fawn. So I'm going to watch both for you. And then you tell me which one, first of all, I love the beautiful, nice metal applicator. That's the Mac. So it's heavy, right? It's weighty, very heavy, beautiful. Stay very cool. Feels so good. So this shade is the fawn. Okay. So let me just swatch a little bit. It's almost like a kind of like a rosewood. Kind of. It's like a nude but with maybe a little hint of pink. And then the taupe, which when you look at it, you're like, yeah, no. Yeah. But like for me, I was like, that's good. It's going to be too deep. It's not my tone. And then Oh, cool. Brown. Oh, what if you mix those together on your hand for me, please? It's so good. I know. Who are these people? What do we know about them? I, it's I think it's two young girls. I have to Google. It's two young girls, I think, or one young audience. Life clusters. What do you guys know about refi? Is it refi? Is it, what is it? How do we say this? It's refi. Refi. What should I do? Should I do the taupe or should I do the fawn? What do you want? The taupe? Mix them. All right. I'll do one on. Okay. So this one is the, this is taupe and they feel so good. Speaking of how is your 28 days? Really good. I'm so hydrated. I've been grounding. I've been doing the anti inflammatory diet. I'm sorry. I'm better. I'm feeling very good and I'm not hungry. Ooh, is that just, is that fawn alone? I did fawn on top and the taupe on the bottom. Pretty. I'm gonna just mix it. Okay. Here's scent, feel, viscosity, no scent, nice and thick and rich. Just the way you like it. Okay. Just how I like it. I like an unctuous, sexy, decadent brownie fudge, Sunday gloss. I'm that girl. Okay. You want a lip oil. If you don't want to feel it, you could blend it down, but this is for someone who loves it's shiny. It's rich, no shimmer. It's like the perfect nude. Look at it for fall. This is the perfect nude for fall. So this is I like it. I'm done. I'm done. I'm not doing any eye makeup today. I'm like running around. So I, I got a little bit of a tint. I got a little bit of a highlight in a bronze. I got a little bit of a fallish caramelly nude lip. And I think this is the perfect transition into fall. I look healthy, fresh. I feel great. And, um, it took me, if we weren't talking and, messing around here, this, I know, but this is the best part. Yeah, but this, he'll, What I just did would take me, I could, if you time me, I could probably do this in one minute and I'm not joking. Oh yeah, mine too. Like I'm just realizing that I've been running around all summer with a purse full of like stains and bronzers and this and that and tints and skinted tinted CF tints and all this stuff. And I feel like I'm constantly getting honked at, Okay, I'm already in the car. Where are you? And running and doing my makeup, winding down the steep mountain hill, driving myself crazy because we're so busy all the time that I'm always juggling. And now I can just curl my lashes, put on a lip and make sure I'm hydrated. Sunscreen, Pat some powder. And this is my jam. I might go in with a little bit of Maxine's Revenge. Just on a fluffed brush. I was going to say, this would be the perfect time to add a little bit of Maxine's Revenge concealer on any areas that you think you may need a little more love. Because it does have the serum, it's got the skincare, it's perfect for winter. And Leah is the best. That's such a great product. I think my daughter stole mine. So I brought Leah. If you're listening, I need to hit. I need to hit cart and get right. And it's funny. My daughter has more of a combination skin and she loves it. And I'm bone dry. I tell people all the time, you don't need to be 40 plus to love it. No. And no, it's because my daughter said, she's mom, it's so sheer, but yet it covers. Huh. Yeah, I know. Look at us. This is fall. It's so funny because this transition time from the warm and the morning, I mourn summer because it's my favorite. I really do. I love summer. As we're mourning summer and moving into fall, you're still want that. You want the ease of summer, but maybe that touch of sophistication in your fall makeup. And hopefully today some of our listeners got some great tips, some great tricks, and will be inspired to try less is more as you transition. And then we'll do some episodes in the future where we want to talk about how now I would take this same face and move in to say I have a date night or say I have a meeting or say I have to go do something really important I may want to up this a little bit and maybe more just a day that I feel I want to wear a little more makeup. What are some things we could do to take it from day into evening? You just did it by adding a little more lip. I could go in and actually do mascara, do a little light, whatever. Just know though, I think the one thing our listeners should take away with this, less is more as you mature, start to feel more confident in your own skin. If you don't want to wear anything, you don't have to, but if you want to go for it, do it and know that fall makeup and Or autumn makeup. If you're listening in Europe to us, you don't have to pilot on. It doesn't mean heavy makeup. It used to, you can still have light, natural and fresh, but think of the tones of clothing you'll wear. You're wearing a chocolate today. You're going to start to wear colors that maybe are a little richer, a little deeper. So don't be afraid to bump up the lip to something a little deeper. That little nuance can take something from summer into fall like that. Yeah. And it feels good, right? I can, I feel like I can walk around with this lip on and I'm not forcing it. I'm not out there all, I live in LA, so it's like, I just feel, I feel chic. I don't have anything. On my eyes. I just did a little bit of that black liner on the pad when I curled them. I just have a little Maxine's Revenge, the one size on top of my oil and a lip. Look at us go. I hope we've inspired you. Pull out some of your old things. Pull out some things that you love and you love to look at. I was inspired to do this whole look by this little 1930s compact that had loose powder and A deeper lip in it. And I thought, huh, I remember when they use ponds, when ponds was the first makeup primer why can't we still do that? So you bring up a great point, the three products I use today to, I already have and love, and they're in my rotation. And then I added one new thing, you don't have to go and buy a million new things, pick up one or two items, think of makeup, almost like you would clothing for fall, maybe you buy a new pair of boots. But you don't go out and buy like 15 new pairs of shoes, right? Maybe you add a new sweater to your already huge pile of sweaters, but you don't go out and buy like 12 new sweaters, unless you had a moth infestation, which that's a whole other episode. I can't even, I can't even. But yeah, that's a whole other episode. I'm wearing this dress, I'm wearing this dress right now because I pulled it out and I put it on and there was a mystery hole. So I'm taking everything apart and we may have. Yeah. Not an infestation, but one very country moth. Yeah. Mr. Cashman? Where there's one, there's more, I hate to tell you. I know. I'm not ready to, I'm not ready to come to terms with that yet. Yeah. We'll talk. I'll give you some moth tips being from the north. We all deal with them. Please. I need moth tips. But if if you buy one or two new sweaters or a pair of shoes, or, think about as we get older, we need less, let's be honest. We just do. So if you're only buying a couple of things for fall or for winter, or you're updating your wardrobe, it's the same thing with makeup. You don't have to go out and buy an entire new fall face. Those days are over, or that's fine when you're 20 years old and you want to fall into all that. But. I think as we get older, you just want to, I don't know, year round, 365 days a year, whether it's fall or summer, spring, I just want to look my best. I want to look like me, but better. Amen, sister. Amen. All right. Let us know what you think. What are you guys doing for fall? Leave comments. Tell us. We love hearing everything. Let us know. Have you heard our most recent episode with Dr. Nicholas Perricone? So good. So good. And here's the thing. You don't have to starve and feel like crap by the time you get to January. It's so many people, they indulge, indulge. And they just think it doesn't matter. I'm going to feel crappy. I'm going to have hangovers. I'm from October to January. I'm just going to, trudge through eat, whatever, give myself full license. Okay. I love the attitude, but how do you. When you're getting dressed, how do you feel going into work? How do you feel doing the things that you need to do? How do you feel by the time Thanksgiving gets here and you have to fit into something? I see everyone hiding in their Thanksgiving photos or in their Christmas photos because you're skin is red from sugar inflammation. You're feeling bloated. By the time you get to new year's, you probably aren't wearing the thing that you originally wanted to wear because we're three months in and your body's can't handle it anymore. If you do the 28 day challenge with us, we're not saying you can't go to those parties and eat and drink whatever you want, you can. Be good. And by good, eat whole anti inflammatory foods. The rest of the season, you're going to feel good. You're going to be glowing. You'll bounce right back from those party nights. And you can thank Dr. Perricone for it. Every day. The protocol's on our website. Every day is an anti inflammatory day. Every day. Every day. So it's not a diet. It's a lifestyle. And you're going to walk into 2025 looking better, but you're also going to walk into every holiday party feeling good and looking good. Then you can eat and drink your face off for a day. Recover, get right back on the horse, whatever. If that's your jam, do it. And you're not going to feel like you were scraped off the bottom of your Louboutins in January. It's true. We've all been there. We're speaking from experience here. We know. Bounce back gets harder ladies with every birthday. So if you stick to an anti inflammatory lifestyle, honestly, you don't crave the things you used to and you don't have to, you don't feel bad ever. It's amazing. I have such a low tolerance for feeling bad. We had guests here over the weekend and I didn't realize, I, we went out and we did the whole thing and the next day I felt like I had a donkey kicking me in the head. My joints were cracking like glow sticks and I was pissy. I was in a bad mood. I had to turn myself around obviously because we're hosting and we had guests and one of the women that was here, she was like, I just feel like that all the time. And I was like, I can't, she's I have a, mild headache. Most of the time I feel, whatever. I think everybody just feels semi crappy. Most of the time I realized that even the slightest headache. I feel it because I'm used to feeling so good all the time. We'll have to do an episode, Hill, on, on our anti inflammatory lifestyles because, um, it's something that's really important to me. And it's something that literally saved my life years ago, we should talk more about it on another episode, what we're putting into our bodies and how that affects, when someone says, Oh, you have such beautiful skin. I can sit here and honestly tell you with a straight face. It's not just what I'm putting on topically. And that's what Dr. Perricone. You don't have to suffer. Yep. You don't have to suffer. You don't have to deny yourself. Do I look like I suffer? No. No. Life's too short. Yeah. Anyway, we're not into suffering. We're not into suffering. We are not. No. Wrong channel. Change the channel if you think that we like to suffer. Okay. Because that's the wrong channel. All right. All right. Let's save it for another episode. Let's do it. All right. I think listeners hit us up, Instagram. Tick tock. Let us know what you think about this episode. Let us know what you think about some of our tips and tricks. If you have any suggestions and do you want to hear about inner beauty? What goes into our bodies? Yeah. Do you want to see more application like this? Absolutely. All right. Stay glossy, Susan. Hey, glossy Hill. Ciao. Ciao.
