Hillary Clark-Mina:

All right everyone. It's that time of year everybody's talking about gratitude and Thanksgiving and what they're grateful for. And as you know, here at LifeGLOSS, we practice gratitude. Single day. you, we've all been through it and we talk about gratitude on the regular, how it chemically changes your brain, your body, your systemic functions. But we're gonna kick it off and just have some fun and talk about products that we're grateful for. We're gonna keep it really simple. We're each gonna name one skincare product, one color product that we're grateful for. Can't live without. And that's it. We're gonna leave you to eat and digest, and then we're gonna get into more deeper issues as the year goes on.

Susan:

Yeah, you know, I'm very thankful. I'm very thankful for our friendship. I am very. Thankful for my family. I'm very thankful for my health. I mean, we could probably go on and on and name all the same things that we are grateful and thankful for and we have a lot to be grateful and thankful for. But I agree with you Hill. Let's just keep it really simple and really fun today. And let's just talk about the products we're grateful for too.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

At the end of the day, sometimes you look in the mirror, especially this season, and you're like. Whew. Just help me through it. Make it easy and make it last and just keep me looking okay in photos, no matter what's going on inside, internally, externally, with the family, in your own head, in your own heart, with your own hormones, or who knows what things we can rely on that help us kind of get through it and we know we can lean on. So, Suze, do you wanna go first with skincare and then I'll.

Susan:

Yeah, sure. Let's just jump into it. So I have been revisiting an oldie but a goodie. Isn't it funny how our skin is constantly changing and the things that we are drawn towards are constantly changing. But sometimes going back to things you used in the past and you think, wow, is it time to revisit that? Because I am really grateful and thankful for that. And one of those products that I've recently reordered and remembered was because this something that happened. So as everyone knows, I was recently out visiting Hillary and I was on the west coast and I was flying, right? So I had three flights in a week in the different places that I had to travel to and. My skin is dry. It's always been dry, and so you can imagine now it is dry all the time. Add to that, hormonal changes, age and geography. Where I live, it's east coast. It is so dry right now. It's freezing bone cold already. So I said, you know, my skin has just been. Parts like thirsty, not even dehydrated, but truly dry. So I need to shock it. I need to wake it up. Well, the fact that I said shock it and wake it up is what made me remember this product. And this is Natura Bee Essential Shock. This is a oldie but goodie. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but pure unadulterated. Don't you love that word? You sound so smart when you say it. Hydration. This is a rich, thick, gooey, delicious cream. But what I love about it is you put it on, it absorbs almost instantly, which for a cream is kind of unheard of it. It smells a little old ladyish, which I kind of dig, and it goes right in hydrates, but lasts until the next day. Like this thing is like taking a fire hose and spraying it on your face. I also like the glow, like it gives a Glo, not a shimmer. Not a gleam, but a true glow. It's so good that I can just put it on and it's sumptuous. Yes. There's a$10 adjective for you right there. It. It just, it just, I mean, look at that. You see the, oh, don't look too close at the back of the hands, but you know what I mean? It's just like, damn, this thing is a workhorse moisturizer and it does it like it, the name, it's so funny. Essential shock. You're like, what the hell is gonna happen to me? It does. It just shocks you into having hydrated glowy rich. Yes. God, I love this product and this jar will last you the whole season. It, it's, it's, I mean, you use such a small amount. It's so rich and delicious and I use it day. I use it night. I mean, this is, listen, is it gonna get rid of your lines and wrinkles? Is it gonna f no? It is simply going to hydrate, which I truly believe makes your skin look younger instantly.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

How refreshing, how refreshing just to have a single function problem solver,

Susan:

Yeah.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

sometimes we do, we get so wrapped up in all the tech and the beauty tech and the ingredients and the results and the, it's gonna do this and that, and the magic wands we forget. We just need hydration. And sometimes I look in the mirror and I'm like, I just need, my skin needs a drink. It needs a gulp,

Susan:

Yes,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

like a drench. So

Susan:

yes.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

yeah.

Susan:

thirsty.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

She's

Susan:

She thirsty. I'm thirsty and I need a shock.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Yeah, I, I need to look at that one again. You know, it's funny that you went all

Susan:

It's good.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

to

Susan:

Yeah.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

because in a way I did too, because if you remember back in the nineties, blue Copper was a big deal. Osmotics

Susan:

Mm-hmm.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

I remember seeing as a beauty director at Nordstrom's, and I remember thinking, oh, that's great's, you know. gonna build collagen, it's gonna build a last, and that's great. I didn't really need it. I was in my twenties, so I tried it. It was nice, but I was like, I don't know. I didn't see anything'cause I didn't have anything to see at that point. So we've actually interviewed the founder of this brand here. You can go back and see her interview, but

Susan:

Yes.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

is Ulu RX and this is the G-H-K-C-U, the 99 1 0.1% Pure Copper. This I have been using and this is a prescription, so you, it's really easy. go to their website, you fill out a form, they send it to you. Incredible stuff. I was suspicious, you know. And, you know, hesitant. Initially I was like, huh, I don't, I don't really know about this. What is this gonna do for my skin? I tried it within a couple of days. I was waking up looking in the mirror thinking, huh? Those vitamins I started taking three weeks ago. Must be working. Huh? I must have had like a really good exercise or something. Maybe I slept really well. I don't think so, but maybe. And then it took me about a week to put two and two together.'cause I always expect 30, 60, 90 days to see results from a cosmeceutical. But within a week I was waking up and brushing my teeth, being like, Ooh, ooh, look at that glow. It wasn't until I started noticing my neck,'cause I put on a t-shirt like this and I was gonna put on a little car collar necklace, which I had banned myself from'cause it draws attention to this. And I was kind of looking at it and. gasped because my neck looked firmer and smoother. It didn't look dinosaur like. So I have stayed on this off and on, but mostly on for the past year and a half. my skin, smoothness. Dark circles. Smoothness, dark circles, dark spots. Even some of the creepiness on my eyelids, my neck. So firmer, brighter, softer, glower, healthier like even. And it's so gentle. Even when I derma plane, which I do on the regular, this is the first thing I put on my skin right after. So

Susan:

Wow. Yeah, your skin looked great when I saw you. In person. It looked fantastic. Yeah, it looked great. I really, yeah, it was good. And I didn't even ask you what you were using'cause you were busy trying to zap something on my face that popped up and it worked. This, oh my god. She guys, so. You know, if you go to Hillary's house, she's got like, I mean, she's laughing because I was like, oh my God. I knew she was nuts, but now it's confirmed. She's like on a different planet. With the beauty thing, she had like a full bathroom like spa set up. I felt like I checked into the Four Seasons and all these bells and whistles and products. But like machines and, you know, I mean, she's an esthetician, right? So, so when I flew, I sudden got this little red bump, just one little bump that came up. And of course I'm, you know, like I gotta look good in pictures. I'm seeing people I haven't seen in 20 something years. Like, you know, my God, get this thing off. And there's Hillary, like the middle of the night, we'd come back in from dinner, she's like, coming at me with this thing zapping me. And I'm like, ow. Like.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

machine.

Susan:

Oh, I think she was getting me back for something. I'm not sure what it was, but

Hillary Clark-Mina:

I

Susan:

anyway

Hillary Clark-Mina:

at you for. No.

Susan:

anyway, it was so funny because I was like, oh, oh, but then she's like, shut up, shut up. It's gonna work. And sure enough, the next, I am a baby. Oh, I'm total baby. And I was like, dad. And then sure enough, the next morning I wake up and the damn thing's gone. So I'm like, I don't know what voodoo thing machine you had, but that was spectacular. So I was this close to her face, which is why I'm telling you guys this story and her skin. I mean, she's always had beautiful skin, but I mean it really was looking really. I was like, wow. She glowy, she happy,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

you.

Susan:

know? So yes.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

a year and a half ago I was thinking like I'm gonna have to get an only fan, an OnlyFans to like be able to afford

Susan:

Oh, your feet.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

a neck flip. A neck lift, yeah. An my feet, a foot page to afford a

Susan:

A foot page. We're gonna get foot pages so we can get facelifts. Yeah, we have a plan people, we've got a whole plan here. Yeah, yeah. No, you do not need. You do not need a facelift.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

telling you

Susan:

no.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

know

Susan:

Yeah.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

this? My mother. And you know, she is a tough

Susan:

Oh yeah. She looks great. Yeah, she's tough.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

us. And yeah,

Susan:

yeah,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

results driven lady. She's been in

Susan:

yeah,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

time. She tolerates

Susan:

yeah,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

and I

Susan:

yeah.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

her into it and she called

Susan:

I know. I should do it. I should get that cream. Yeah. Your skin looked amazing.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

and she was

Susan:

Really good.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

was in the shower. My skin feels so smooth. I haven't seen any other changes. I'll follow up with you. She's four bottles

Susan:

That sounds like her.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

bottles in, and she's like, I won't be without

Susan:

Wow.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

just used,

Susan:

Wow.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

the teeniest tiniest little bit, and I'm still

Susan:

Wow,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

my fine lines, but it, it,

Susan:

wow.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

But, you know, I want.

Susan:

Yeah,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Perfection.

Susan:

yeah. I know

Hillary Clark-Mina:

are

Susan:

who doesn't.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

that bother me. But

Susan:

Yeah. Well, it's always something. If it's not one thing, it's another. All right. Yeah, we will. So that you guys can see this, but no, never let's disclaim that. I feel like we always have to,'cause no one believes us, but no one is writing us a check. So somebody if you want to. Okay. But no, this is just purely passion. This is, yeah, we'll send you, we'll send you feed pictures. But no, this is this is an exceptional product. Her product's exceptional. Again, two different things. One is corrective, one is strictly if you are a thirsty. Lady, you need this product. It is just, it's so good. I mean, yeah, if I, if I liked you all even more, I would let you come close to the back of my hands, but no, just kidding.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

I

Susan:

It really, it's, yeah, it's just, it's. It's spec and it's like, it feels like a silky velvet. No greasiness yet. It looks lightly. It looks like I've got grease on my face, but it's just, there's not, it's just like butter. It's butter people. So speaking of buttery products let's each quickly show one little color product that's always in our handbag during the holidays. That we can't live without that has our back and we have, its back because we've probably purchased at least 1700 of these items. And I keep coming back for more. And for me, it's no surprise here, Chanel glosser in bourgeoisie because you know

Hillary Clark-Mina:

see

Susan:

the name fits wear it. I do not have it on, so I'm going to actually pop it on top of what I have. Because you know why I like this color and I, well, first of all, I love Chanel glosser, as you know. Okay. I was there for the beginning of it, and so I like to take pride in that. And I have to tell you, I don't think they're called Glosser anymore, but Wow. Coco Glosser or whatever the hell, they're shilling now over there, but this, yeah, they always change the names, but this

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Whatever.

Susan:

color. Is the most beautiful. Toss it on. Now I have it on top of something lighter, but it, when I say this, color gloss works on everybody. I ain't lying. It works on everybody. It is just a beautiful like rosy. Tone. That just is magic. You can have no makeup. Look, I have like just a mascara blush on today. Very little makeup you can have no makeup on and toss this on and it brightens your whole face. Okay? Or you can have a full face of makeup and put it on and it just becomes very subtle. It almost adapts to whatever you're doing with the eyes and the rest of your face. So it helps you when you need the help you don't have anything on, and it takes a little backseat when you got. Big show going on, on the eyes or the face or whatever, but this color bourgeoisie just works. I think there's a number That would be number one 19. One 19. Wait a minute.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Good to

Susan:

Hang on. Let me get a, let me get a flashlight because in case you didn't know, these glasses are not large enough. That I can't see. But you know, it's not me. It's not me. The, the, the writing's just getting smaller people. Yeah, sure. Oh wow. Good. Susan. 2020. Vision in one eye. 2025 in the other. Not bad. Number one 19 Chanel lip gloss. Whatever they're calling it now. I'll always call it glosser in bourgeoisie because,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Yeah.

Susan:

if the name fits, wear it Okay. Bourgeoisie. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. This is probably, and I'm not exaggerating my 17th tube.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Oh yeah.

Susan:

There you go.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

little. Love story is, believe it or

Susan:

Oh,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

this one. Can you believe? So this is the Clinique. Now they're calling it the Sun Kissed Face Jale. But for anybody that's been around the block since the nineties, this used to come in a

Susan:

we know

Hillary Clark-Mina:

and it used to be part of the mens line. I've used this since I was. 22, 23 years old. Let me show you guys why. So this is

Susan:

she has.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Yeah, this is a bronzer and it's a stain. It left for a year, so like it exited the men's line and

Susan:

Yes.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

on. And then it reappeared in the women's.

Susan:

Right?

Hillary Clark-Mina:

because I had stocked up in this. I always have it in my kit, in my pro kit

Susan:

Mm-hmm.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

back

Susan:

Mm-hmm.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

'cause it sometimes it's just out of

Susan:

Mm-hmm.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

This, I'm gonna just show you guys really quickly. It has a little

Susan:

Here, let me see.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

in it. So the red makes it look really, really natural and healthy. I have been using this to contour Bron, tour sculpt, you know, warm up my face. I mean, because I have a tiny head. And I have high cheekbones and I don't want a whole lot of makeup just to make me look alive. So I'll put this on top of makeup like I did today, but I usually, this is my first step, skincare and then this, because it brings

Susan:

A nice,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

it gives me

Susan:

yeah.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

and then. I wear less makeup, but because this is a stain, she's not going anywhere. I mean, I've used this on models for Sports Illustrated, their decollete, their arms, but for those of us that are starting to get collapsed eyelids, let me show you, you can get, if you're getting a crepey or droopy lid, you can use this in your crease because it's going to give you, you know, that lift and it's gonna give you that dimension. It's not gonna crease, it's not gonna go anywhere. You can apply it however you want. And I have taken this on vacation with me,

Susan:

Mm-hmm.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

and a lip gloss. I feathered it through my brows, through my bald spots. You can line a lip with it. my

Susan:

So pretty.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

miracle and it goes with anything. I can go bronze I want. I can be a total glamazon or I can just give my face some dimension and that's it. my miracle

Susan:

It's nice that it, it's nice. It has that red undertone to it so it doesn't go orange, you know?

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Mm-hmm.

Susan:

Yeah. Which is so many.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

It's so

Susan:

Yeah. So you could like swim in that and it would stay on.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

hot flash

Susan:

Yeah,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

in it,

Susan:

yeah, sure,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

bar,

Susan:

sure.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

whatever. Go at it with your in-laws over

Susan:

Ah,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

whatever. It's not going anywhere, and you're gonna come out looking good no matter what.

Susan:

yeah. You know, all those bar brawls we've been getting in lately, ladies, you know, you wanna make sure your bronze stays put when you're like cutting them with that sharp, right. You know, my God hill.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

you never know. Whatever.

Susan:

know what's coming outta that mouth.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Anyway, it's so good.

Susan:

I love it. I love it. That's a great product. And it looks really good. Like it's, I like it because it, it's glowy. It's dewy, it's fresh, but it, again, it's not brownie, it's not pinky, it's not, yeah. Muddy. Yes,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

grab, if you have dark

Susan:

it's nice.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

melasma, it doesn't grab onto those and make and exacerbate them and make them worse. It's really

Susan:

I like that.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

somebody who's got a lot of hyperpigmentation, I can actually use it to blend some of that out. Warm

Susan:

Oh.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

even them out. It's my

Susan:

Oh,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Men, women, I have used it.

Susan:

Yeah, that's a good me. I've used it on men, but I've not thought about, I've actually not thought about using it on myself. I have to be honest with you. So thank you. I have two products now I need to purchase. I know it's one of those that like, I don't know why I never grabbed it, but you know.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

step and then I forgot about it for a few years and. When it was gone for a year, I was like, huh, I have to do something

Susan:

Yeah.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

then

Susan:

That's good.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

back, I just didn't get back on the train very quickly. And then I was like, oh yeah. And now that I'm back, I'm

Susan:

Yeah,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

does it does 90% of my, you know, real makeup. Everything else is just icing. So

Susan:

yeah. It's good.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

you

Susan:

I like it. So

Hillary Clark-Mina:

grateful

Susan:

there you go. I mean,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Yeah.

Susan:

a, and you know, honestly, it's so fun. You know what's really interesting Hill is I'm sitting here looking at my two products, and I'm looking at your two products are, you know, we're thankful for and skincare. But in color, color and skincare. What we're thankful for both of us, and we didn't talk about this before we came on and do, did this, both of us chose products that have been around. For years. These are not new products. These are not products. You can like run in and grab it. You know where, okay, these, you gotta go hunt them down, you gotta find them. They're classic skincare and color products and that is so funny. So that tells you where our wavelength is. You don't have to go out and buy. Everything that is new.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Oh.

Susan:

Sometimes the classics stay classic for a reason.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Mm-hmm.

Susan:

stood the test of time. They are. Excellent ingredients. They are good workhorse products. So shop your closet, shop your drawers, look and see what you already have. And don't be afraid to stand tall in the fact that you're using classic products. I am just at the point now, we're probably gonna do an episode on this soon'cause I'm starting to get a little. Irritated that I am being inundated on the mall of Instagram. I am sick and tired of hearing every influencer in the world, which we are not influencers. Let's be clear. Okay. I am so. Irritated at having shit shoved down my throat. Is anyone else starting to get, not just burnt out, but pissed off, like, stop enough. I don't need another blank. I don't need I, what I need is results and I need to know that I have things in my handbag that I can use again and again and again. Nothing against new stuff. We love it. But enough with every freaking day. Something better. Something new. A new la la, la la la. I am starting. Get irritated.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

that are pedaling something new. Something new.'cause I'm on TikTok so I can barely even turn it on and. the people that are influencers

Susan:

pay to play baby.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

they can't be using everything that they're pedaling.

Susan:

No,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

basically, and I, I teach people this on my TikTok a little bit because it's gotten to the point of where it's so bad. Like I'm

Susan:

So bad.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

user generated content. The UGC, we wanna hear from the mom in Nebraska that found something that worked for her. We want to empower her. We want her to have an

Susan:

yes,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

want her to make

Susan:

yes,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Get your

Susan:

of course. Get your bag

Hillary Clark-Mina:

influencers

Susan:

enough.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

just change every single day. They're just rotating through products and everything is the best and everything's changed their life. They're

Susan:

and we love everybody

Hillary Clark-Mina:

But here's the

Susan:

sick of it.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

just because they're getting a coupon, they're getting a commission, they're getting a deal. And I think the consumer is about to shut the doors on it and be like, I'm done

Susan:

Oh, yeah, you heard it here first.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

and Instagram is a gold mine, but I think consumers are like, enough, we're done.

Susan:

a backlash. It's happening. I can feel it.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

to old baddies like you and I and just be like.

Susan:

Yeah. Enough.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

much

Susan:

Too much.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

around

Susan:

much noise. Too much noise around beauty right now. And I mean, you're talking to two women that eat, breathe this and love it. But we would never, and I don't think we have ever told anyone they have to, or they will die if they don't get this product. We share what we love, new and old classics, one hit wonders, et cetera. You know, we're super positive on this channel. But as most of you know, we're also a little cynical and at times, perhaps a bit jaded. And we tell the truth. And the truth is we are thankful that we live in a world where we have options and that everyone is welcome on their platforms. But we're here to say, trust us in 2026. It's a new year. You're gonna be hearing us talk more about this. We are getting a little fed up with being force fed crap by people. That truly do not know what they're talking about,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Right.

Susan:

so

Hillary Clark-Mina:

And the lies and the promises that people spin, it's. It's wild,

Susan:

No,

Hillary Clark-Mina:

so for our next episode, we're actually talking about second acts, and we're gonna be talking

Susan:

yes.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

of our favorite indie, they were indie brands at the time. Indie creators that are now having a second act. They're bringing new brands forward. The NDAs have expired. The inspiration is there. Whatever

Susan:

Mm.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

but we're gonna be talking about the second acts of some of our favorite brands from the nineties and two thousands, what they're

Susan:

Yep.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

gonna give you guys some little reviews. We wanna hear from you, and we wanna know what are your, you know, and die for products? Your two things tell us in

Susan:

What are you thankful for?

Hillary Clark-Mina:

yeah. What are you thankful

Susan:

what are you thankful for? What are you thankful for? It doesn't have to be beauty. Just tell us what you're thankful for too. I mean, remember, this is LifeGLOSS, so is

Hillary Clark-Mina:

LifeGLOSS

Susan:

tell us what you're thankful for too.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

of you.

Susan:

So thankful we could not be doing this without all of you. We're thankful for each other and we're definitely thankful for all of you listening to us Yap. On as the kids say about beauty and what we're passionate about, beauty in life, and we're gonna keep yapping all next year too. You have not gotten rid of us. Mm-hmm.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

for each and every one of you. We read all of your comments and keep telling us what you wanna see more of and who you wanna see on, because we're gonna

Susan:

Yes.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

this year too. So 2026 is going to be fun, fun, fun. So meanwhile, stay cool, stay thankful, and above all, stay glossy, Susan.

Susan:

Hill.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

See ya.

Susan:

Happy holidays.

Hillary Clark-Mina:

Happy holidays everyone. Hang in there.
