Pinky's up. What time is it? It's time to spill. Okay, sippers, grab your teacups because it is time to mother freaking spill. I'm Mallory. And I'm Kristen. And did you miss us? We're back.
SPEAKER_01Because we missed you.
SPEAKER_00XOXO gossip girls are here.
SPEAKER_01We're back. And we don't really know where we went. We actually just barely listened to like our last episode. And Mallory's confession was that she was burnt out. And I think that just like gave us a little thought in our heads.
SPEAKER_00And then planted a little a seed a little too deep. To the point where we fully just accepted it. Accepted it, ghosted, disappeared, not a trace.
SPEAKER_01Ghosted like the boys do on the dating app.
SPEAKER_00Left behind. Yeah. Just crazy. And now it's been six months. Yeah, just about. So that's crazy. So we're about but we're giddy, we have butterflies, and we're really excited.
SPEAKER_01Well, let's start with what we're sipping, and then we'll get into what you can expect at a time to spill nowadays. We're gonna actually do all of our confessions since we've been gone because we have been robbing you of six months worth of weekly confessions. So don't worry, we're gonna spill them all. We'll spill all the best confessions we have from the last six months and just tell you where we've been.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So, Mal, what are you sipping? Okay, sipping two shows right now. Well, first off, I'm sipping Needlepoint has been so fun.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yes, so fun.
SPEAKER_00And then sipping two shows. Worst X ever on Netflix. Every episode is different. It's true crime. So good.
SPEAKER_01Is it like documentary style or like every like actor portrayal? Yeah, documentary style. Okay.
SPEAKER_00And Widow's Bay. We just started that one, but it's getting pretty good. And that was on Apple TV.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I've never even heard of that one. Who's in that?
SPEAKER_00Nobody, like, yeah, recognizable. But it's about a little tiny island off the coast of Massachusetts. It's and it's called Widows Bay. Okay. So it's supposed to be like a Nantucket or Amartha's Vineyard type of vibe. Okay. And it has some something to do with like the fog. Like the fog rolls in and something happens every time the fog comes rolling in, and it's like cursed or something. But it's like a comedy thriller. So it's supposed to be like funny and also like kind of jumpy.
SPEAKER_01Oh fun.
SPEAKER_00At the same time. So it's been good. I really like it.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I'm gonna have to watch it on Apple.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay. That's what I'm sipping. I have been sipping. We actually just finished for Book Club the book yesteryear. Did you end up finishing it? I know we spoiled the very ending. Did I?
SPEAKER_00Yes, I did. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh, wait, no, you finished it before Book Club. Yes, yes. Okay, yeah. Yeah. I feel like it's I mean, I know everybody's talking about it right now. I'm like listening to podcasts about it and whatever. It's all over the place and very polarizing opinions, but I loved it. Yes. It kept me entertained the whole time. I did not see the twist coming. Like I actually really, really, really enjoyed it. So five stars.
SPEAKER_00Which go a little bit deeper. Tell them like who people think it's basically what was that?
unknownMy foot got caught on the core.
SPEAKER_00When I tell you, my soul just left my body, bro.
SPEAKER_01The ghost scared me. Literally scared me. I like lifted up the blanket and my foot got caught on the cord and ripped everything down. I wish that there was care on my face. That just scared me so much. It scared me too, and I knew it was me, so I can't imagine.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so the book yesterday. That's a tongue twister. It is loosely based. People are saying it's loosely based on the main character being like Ballerina Farm. The main character's name is Natalie. Yeah. But everybody is speculating that it's actually about Hannah Neiman. Neilman. Neilman. Yeah, like her life. Yes. Which she in real life, Hannah, is married to a guy whose family owns Jet Blue or started Jet Blue. So they are very, very wealthy in the book. Natalie is married to a guy whose dad is running for president. He's also extremely wealthy. I think he's a billionaire. So they have all this money and wealth to do whatever they want, but they are willingly choosing this like trad wife lifestyle, living on a farm, whatever. And in the book, this girl is also Instagram famous, as in Ballerina Farm. So a lot of people are like relating the two. But then in the end, it is very much giving like Ruby Frankie vibes. Which I did not see coming. I did not see coming. I literally was like, okay, so Natalie is like living on this farm, running this Instagram. She's famous. She's perfect. She has like six kids or whatever. And she, you know, she makes the sourdough. She's just perfect. She's yeah, whatever. And then one day she wakes up in the 1800s, and her kids aren't her kids, but they're like, You're our mom. And she is now having to actually live like she's in the 1800s, like milk the cows and like do all these things to like actually survive. No electricity. But nobody like I could not figure out how she was gonna get there. So it was like such a good twist. I it kept me thoroughly entertained the whole time, and I finished it pretty quickly. So yesteryear, I'm not gonna say anymore because I don't want to spoil it. But if you need a good book, put that on your list, but also be forewarned, it is her inner dialogue, and yeah, she's a little spicy, she's definitely going through it, and definitely some mental health going on. So if you're afraid of the having to hear any sort of curse words or the worst ones in the books, then maybe don't listen to that one. But I actually really, really liked it. So it wasn't her just a forewarning. There's cussing, but it was really good.
SPEAKER_00And then this next month we're reading it's like a little rom-com. Wild About You by Caitlin Hill. Caitlin Hill. Shitly. We haven't started it yet, but we will report back.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm excited to. I also I've been actually reading a lot on this break, but I think next week we're doing a whole episode on everything we've been sipping while we've been gone, so I'll compile a list. I've got lots of books under my on my battery valves.
SPEAKER_00I did just finish Throne of Glass.
SPEAKER_01Was that your first time reading it? Yes. Okay, I just like can't keep track of all of your guys's like fantasy on fantasy. And I know you read Avatar multiple times, so I'm like, okay, yeah. So you just finished it and watched it. Just finished the first book, which is Throne of Glass.
SPEAKER_00And it was good. Like it's a lot when you start reading a new fantasy book because there's so much world building, and so you're like, who are these people? Like, I'm so confused. So good though. And I'm on book two now, which is Crown of Midnight, and it's been good so far.
SPEAKER_01Is it a trilogy or how many are there?
SPEAKER_00I think there's five or six books. Oh yeah. You love, you love that kind of stuff. They just get like thicker and thicker and thicker.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I have heard I do want to read Throne of Glass and Avatar.
SPEAKER_00It's actually really good, which people say that Throne of Glass is better than Avatar. Oh really? In my world, I'm like, I don't see a world where anything's better than Avatar. So I'm giving it a chance. Giving it a chance. We'll see.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I'm excited to hear your rating after you finish the whole series. Yeah. All right. Well, where have we been, Mallory?
SPEAKER_00Where have we been? We literally did we even do a New Year's episode like into January, or was December our last one? You said you just listened to our last one.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. It was a confessions one. So yeah, it would have been the first week in January.
SPEAKER_00Okay. So I guess I kind of like started writing stuff down in order, but then I got like way off track. So my first thing would have been after that episode is I had endo surgery, which I don't even know how much I updated on that. Oh yeah. So that was in January. Yeah. So January 13th.
SPEAKER_01You never talked about it after. Yeah. I think that's okay. That that is what led to this ultimate thing. Because first of all, Mallory said that she was feeling burnt out, and then her surgery is coming up. So I'm like, dude, let's just take a little break. It's fine. And now that you planted the seed in my head, like I'm a little burnt out there.
SPEAKER_00I walked in and you're like, you've ruined me, or you're like, you wrecked me or you've screwed me or something like that. Now you're like, no, I am burned out. Now I don't want to do it. I'm like, yeah, I know. Sorry.
SPEAKER_01Once we like got a taste of not having to like work for free, we were like, wait, I want that option. Literally. It just never crossed our minds before. We've been loyal to our sippers. And then we needed a break. So we took one.
SPEAKER_00Sorry. We got major burnout for a second. So just like super quick recap of endo. They did end up finding stage three endometriosis. And he was like, You'll be super fertile for six months. So, like, get on it. Well, six months later, I'm still not pregnant. Dr. Johnson. So, what's going on? Anyway, symptoms were really, really good until April, like the end of April. And they've like been back full force. Full force? Yes. So April. And it's like every other month because you know how you switch off sides. So I think it's my right side that's giving me issues because I woke up in the middle of the night last night, absolutely dying, 2 a.m. was going to vomit, was like, Don, I need to get in the bath. And so I got in the bath just in like scorching hot water. Like it's just back. Like something's wrong. You know? So how soon can you do another surgery? How what?
SPEAKER_01Like, how couldn't you do the surgery again?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they could go in again, but I called them today and they can't get me in for four weeks. But I still booked it. So I'm like, whatever. Yeah. So he's gonna do more imaging ultrasounds, get in there and see. But I think I have so endometriosis, but also there's something called adiosis, adenomyiosis or something like that, which is endo, but it grows in the muscle and the tissue of your uterus, like inside on the lining, rather than on the outside, like inside of your body cavity on top of like all of your organs.
SPEAKER_01Does that mean it has to like go into your uterus to get it out? Yeah. Can you do that?
SPEAKER_00They can do it if on like an MRA or something, there's like a blob. So if there's like a blob inside of your muscle, they can like extract it super carefully to like still preserve your uterus to still be able to have kids. But a lot of the times it's like you just remove remove your uterus and call it a day. No, we're not we're not calling it a day. But last night I literally was like, I don't give a flying phu anymore. Like, get my uterus out of my body. Like, I will figure out a different way to get kids. Like, I literally don't care. That's not bad.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00No, and so I don't know. We'll see in four weeks what they say, but it definitely has not been what I had hoped because it's already back.
SPEAKER_01No, of course not.
SPEAKER_00So that's like where I've been, and just like ugh, just the most defeating feeling I've ever felt in my whole life.
SPEAKER_01You know, did they say that there was a chance so you like did you figure out this endo, this new one? Or did they say, like, if it this doesn't solit, you might have this?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, they did not say that to me because when I was researching, it always pulled up either endo or adenomyiosis. Like I've never even heard of it. If you have endo, you probably have adenomiosis. Um and so it's just like I'm like, okay, now next time I'll ask about adenomiosis or whatever, you know. And so I don't know. But you think I mean he wasn't inside of I think he was inside my uterus, but it's not like they were, it's in the tissue and the muscle inside of your uterus. Like you don't, I don't think you see adenomiosis in your uterine lighting, like where you shed every month. It's like actually in your tissue.
SPEAKER_01Like so, can you get it out? That one?
SPEAKER_00Yes. If they can see on the imaging that it's like there blobs, but there's like four different kinds of it, so it's like either scattered through the tissue and the muscle, or they'll be like bigger blobs, yeah, you know. So I don't know. I don't freaking know. I'm just like, I actually need answers, or I really will just get my get a hysterectomy. I don't care. I literally don't care anymore.
SPEAKER_01Mallory.
SPEAKER_00I know so which that's me being so drama. Like I could go do IVF and hopefully get pregnant and be fine, but I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but you would have to live with this pain, that's why you want to.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, which nine months I wouldn't have the pain because I'd be pregnant. Yeah, but yeah. Just like my quality of life feels very shitty right now.
SPEAKER_01You know, see why she needed the break.
SPEAKER_00They're like, okay. Maybe it's a good thing. She had four good months until I came back. Maybe it's a good thing she had a break, anyways. So that's like what I've been dealing with there. Which I was doing updates on my TikTok, but it really was good. Like I my periods were so slim to nothing. Yeah, I wasn't cramping, I wasn't anything until April again.
SPEAKER_01So I don't know, we'll see. When was that when we were in New York? Was I on my period? No, it was in Boston when you were miserable.
SPEAKER_00Boston, yeah. But even then, that was like I was cramping and stuff, but it wasn't unbearable. Like when we were in Nantucket, I was like pretty disset, whatever, disassociated, but like not like this, you know. So I still was cramping, I still was like, oh, this is uncomfortable. I'll still need to take ibuprofen, but like good thing I'm home for this one. Yeah, because this one's like you're in bed, you can't get out. Yeah, you've my you got shoved in my hand. Oh, hurting me. You're hurting my heart. So I'm like, at least next month, in the next four weeks, I'll be like cramping, but I'll be okay. Like I can still do my day-to-day tasks and then go to the doctor. They can figure out whatever they need to. Hopefully, before this, the next time.
SPEAKER_01For real.
SPEAKER_00It's just crazy. It's so crazy.
SPEAKER_01Okay, we'll keep keeping us updated.
SPEAKER_00We will keep you updated. I'm not sure. It's just hard because my doctor's like, well, hopefully, next time you call me, it'll just be because you're pregnant. I'm like, Well, I'm not. So what are you gonna do about it? So now what? Yeah, anyway.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Woof.
SPEAKER_01I'm so sorry.
SPEAKER_00Whoof. I know. I just feel so bad for everyone who has to go through this and like have people that don't take them seriously, you know? It's just hard.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So, anyway, give us something off your list.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Uh, are you on your confession list or just like life update? Where are we?
SPEAKER_00I just started with my confessions because kind of is.
SPEAKER_01Okay, well, that's what I thought, but then it sounded like you were doing something else. I'm like, wait a minute. Okay. Confessions. Okay, I have not told you this one, Mallory. You're literally gonna die.
SPEAKER_00When you make me wave.
SPEAKER_01I know, but this it's okay. This one's it's only been a couple days, and the second that happened, I was like, oh my gosh. Like, I'm saving it for live on the podcast because you're literally not even gonna die. You're not even gonna believe. Oh no. I got invited to Tyler Robinson's trial. No. How? Like on the jury? No, I freaking wish. Okay, first of all, if you're on the jury, I don't think you're allowed to talk about it. Oh, okay. What the hell? Second of all, I've been begging for jury duty. I wouldn't have to do that. That's why I'm like, wait, how do you see? No, one of my friends has an account where she like reports on things. I don't think she shares her name on there, so I will just say the blackout report is her Instagram. And she got invited to go there as media, and she's like, I don't want to go alone, I need a friend to come with me. I'm like, so she's like, Do you want to come? I'm like, uh, yeah. Whoa. We'll be working on my entire month. I will be there. Yes. That's crazy. And that's so cool. I think it's in July.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01She said, unless it gets pushed back, but I don't know if I think that he did it. So I no, I don't think he did, and he didn't do it, and I know that.
SPEAKER_00So I just I can't imagine wanting to be like a fall guy for that and like being okay with that, which maybe he's not, but it'll be interesting to see from inside the courthouse.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, he's pleading like minus that, I think.
SPEAKER_00Really?
SPEAKER_01I can't freaking keep track of everything. She was like trying to. I'm like, okay, I haven't followed it like since it happened. So she was like trying to re break it down for me, but then obviously that takes you into tangents. I'm like, I'm gonna have to study before we go to trial. But I am Ah, Kristen, you should be you should like TikTok, like make videos. Well, we're going to like be yeah, like media, yes.
unknownOh my gosh, dude.
SPEAKER_01This is crazy. Blackout report. If you're listening, you better not replace it with somebody else. Yeah, no, she's fully planning on it. Like, no, I will be there. And I told her that too. I'm like, you're not just like saying that, right? She's like, no, like I need someone to come.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, yes, dude, that's crazy. Is it in St. George? Or no, no, no. He's in Utah. Utah County. Utah County, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I'm pretty sure. Okay. I was thinking because he's not a Georgia case, which is beyond crazy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So anyway.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh, that's gonna be wild.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, I've been you know, I've been trying to get him to a trial for something. I beg Mallory like four times this year to go down to the courthouse with me.
SPEAKER_00She literally, yeah, she wanted to go to a trial.
SPEAKER_01Really badly. He's like, How did you get out of it? Like, have you guys gone out of jury duty before? I'm like, gotten out of it? Give me your letter, I won't do it. Yes. I've wanted to go so bad. So this is like I've waited my whole life for this. I'm so excited.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh, dude. When you said Tyler Robinson, it took me a second to be like, wait, Tyler Robinson. And I was like, oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Crazy. Major national news, worldwide news story right here in Utah.
SPEAKER_00That's gonna be insane. I cannot wait. I'm so excited.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I love that. Don't worry, I'll report back because I'm going as the media.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Okay, on the topic of Throne of Glass. Whenever we're reading a book, literally any book, okay? It could be anything fantasy, romance, thriller, whatever. I need to like visualize who these characters are, right? Like, I want to see what they look like, what the real person would look like if they played them in a movie or whatever. Okay, so back to Throne of Glass. I was looking at fan art of these characters on TikTok. And I didn't realize the way I was laying was like kind of angled towards where because we were laying in bed. He was watching his show, and I was like kind of angled towards him and just like looking at the fan art. Well, if you read it. Amazing how the fan art. If you've read it, the first person I looked up was Kale Westfall, okay. Literally, this video pops up of just like shirtless fan art fan cast pictures of him. And so obviously, I like pause and I'm just like staring. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Sticking it all in.
SPEAKER_00I was taking in his features, really burning it in my brain. So when I went back to reading it, I would know what Kel looked like, okay. And all of a sudden I hear, oh really? I was like, oh my. I'm like, no, no, I promise I'm looking at all the characters. Like, I promise I'm looking at I literally was like this, probably smiling at him too. Okay. I have to put on our stories which picture I was looking at because it was pretty good. And he just was dying. He's like, I literally just caught you so hard. Caught you. Oh that sounded really weird, but yeah, I probably was hard. Um looking at the pick. Anyway, he's like, Yeah, you caught red-handed. But he also thought was really funny. I just get behind the fan.
SPEAKER_01Like, I love fan casting. The second I start a book and the second I like read a character, I'm looking up the fan casting. Yeah. What I can't get behind is the fan art. Yeah. Yeah. So that's what's so funny about this. We're looking at fan. It was art. Yeah. Yeah. Like, yeah. I know. I have a couple friends.
SPEAKER_00Like it's AI generated. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01No, I have a couple friends that like love it, and they'll like be like, oh, this is who I'm thinking. And I'm like, these are cartoons. Like, where? Who's the the real life actor? Who are we casting in the show? Oh, which by the way, yesteryear they're making it into a movie with Anne Hathaway.
unknownStop.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I'm really excited about that. I don't know. I just heard that on I was listening to The Toast and they talked about it.
SPEAKER_00That's gonna be crazy.
SPEAKER_01I know. I'm interested.
SPEAKER_00Oh, and with Anne Hathaway, she's gonna kill that.
SPEAKER_01I know it's gonna be so good. I was gonna say, were we already supposed to talk about what can they can expect for this podcast? Because also Verity is coming out.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah. Maybe we need to do that.
SPEAKER_01We'll talk about that real quick because I just mentioned it. Okay. Verity, they're making it into a movie. And I feel like the last couple adaptations from Colleen have been a little on the cheesier side. Yeah. Could have been better. I'm very excited about Verity. I'm so excited. I feel like the casting is so good. I loved the book. Yeah. Oh, I loved it. I know a few people were like, oh, don't read it, a trigger warning, whatever. I loved it. Yeah. I'm really excited about who they've casted in it. And it comes out October. We're doing a separate cinema, people.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we are.
SPEAKER_01October 1st.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Thursday. You were gonna leave.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it comes. October 2nd. So we are doing Super Cinema Thursday, October 1st. Choice fact, check it out. Yeah, I'm pretty uh positive. Thursday, right? I'm literally moving my vacation to the next day so that we can do this for you guys. So please show up and show out. But very and so if you haven't read the book yet, is the time. And it's a short, quick. I think I read it in like two days.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Which we'll probably drop tickets for that soon because do we need to tell them about what happened last time?
SPEAKER_01Go for it. Here's a confession.
SPEAKER_00Yes, here's a confession. So we were gonna do it for reminders of him. Reminders reminders of him because we ended up just going. Remember. Reminders of him. We were gonna do Super Cinema, as you guys knew. We didn't secure the theater yet because we needed to obviously make sure we could sell all the seats in the seat in the theater first. Well the last time.
SPEAKER_01We had been we were 100% had been communicating with the theater up until literally every single day. Like she knew the date, the time, the theater, whatever. We just didn't say, here's my deposit.
SPEAKER_00Yes. We thought we had seven days before the day of the movie, right? Seven days before the day of the movie to be like, okay, we're ready. Here's our we have the money, we're ready to pay for the theater. And she was like, No, you need a date seven to or eight to ten days out or something like that.
SPEAKER_01It wasn't no, it was literally the day before. And I was like, please.
SPEAKER_00We we missed it by like two days or something.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was really close.
SPEAKER_00And she's like, Nope, sorry, I need a date ten days out.
SPEAKER_01And we're like, We have seeing you for weeks.
SPEAKER_00Yes. And she was like, Nope, sorry, ten days out. And we were like, What? I was so pissed. And we were angel days out or something.
SPEAKER_01Angel, we need a miracle, like Christmas miracle, because it was around that time, wasn't it? Yeah, yeah. So it wasn't reminders of him because that came out in March, February, March. What movie was that?
SPEAKER_00We could probably go back and look. I can't remember. But so that was embarrassing. We literally then mowed everybody back.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, screw that, honestly. It will not be happening. That was too big of an L.
SPEAKER_00Through. We've yeah, we got through thrown for a loop there. But so that will not be happening again. It is happening this time, and we're doing it way ahead of time so that we can just get it submitted, get the theater paid for, and freaking Angel will help us out this time and not leave us in the dust.
SPEAKER_01Yes. I was looking at the phone because we've already worked with her on three other movies. Yes. So I'm like, you know, we're good for it. Like we've been talking about this date time location for weeks. It was so bad. I was like, I'm so sorry. I think I cried about it twice. And don't you think you would say, like, hey guys, like as a salesperson? A reminder. Yeah, hey guys, the deposit would be due today if you guys still want to book this. Nope. Let me just lose out on the thousands of dollars that I was just about to make on this.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01No big deal. I'm not even gonna tell you guys until it's too late.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh, pissing me the hell off.
SPEAKER_00So, anyway, that one's October 1st. We'll probably launch that. This comes out July 13th. So really soon after. Yeah.
unknownAugust November.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Probably in August. Just so we can get everything planned and prepped. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, perfect.
SPEAKER_00I'm so excited for that one.
SPEAKER_01I know the movie will be so good. Wait, who is the cast now that I even said all?
SPEAKER_00Anne Hathaway. I think Dakota Johnson.
SPEAKER_01Oh, Anne Hathaway is Verity.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01And Dakota is the other girl. And the guy's really good looking too. What's his name?
SPEAKER_00I forget his name. Verity cast.
unknownI can't.
SPEAKER_01Wait, it's gonna be so good. And like we need a Colleen Hoover win after the whole It Ends with us freaking thing.
SPEAKER_00Josh Hartnett Hartnett. Oh yeah. Hello. Yeah. That is gonna be so much. Oh, I just loved it from this so much. Yeah, she's Loan. Lowen. I'm so excited for that. Okay. Josh Hartnett. I loved him in. Please mark it on your calendars. We're so excited to get the gang back together.
SPEAKER_01Getting the girlies back together. Yeah, we also, the only way we can like actually continue doing the podcast, we are committed, guys. Yeah, we really are. We are committed. If you haven't seen us on TikTok and Instagram, we are going full force on the social media route so we can grow this thing. So if you're not already following us on TikTok, head over there, tell all your friends. But between that and like coming to the events, that's gonna be the way we're gonna do it. That will keep us alive, that will keep us afloat. And we'll obviously have cute little swag bags for you. Yes. Always. But so I was gonna say, so we've got the movie one, and then we're also thinking maybe like a little tea party. Oh, yeah. That one will be annoying, too. If any small businesses want to collab on that in some way, shape, or form, we'd be happy to. So expect those coming out.
SPEAKER_00Yes, so excited. I've always wanted to do like an actual cute tea party so bad. Just like that vibe, like summer soiree tea party vibe. And it's coming. We're doing it.
SPEAKER_01I'm so excited. That'll be fun.
SPEAKER_00We're doing it. Okay, my turn. Yep.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I sat in a straddle today. I used to be able to go middle splits, like flat, roll over, roll through. No way. I put my legs in a straddle and say, I'm not kidding. They were like, I literally think mine's like that today. Precisely a V, everybody. There used to be a straight line. Yeah. They were literally a V. I'm like, hunched, like, can't even touch the ground. And then I remembered. So I literally have not done a toe touch in 15 years. And then I remembered that me and Mallory over this break were cheer judges. And I can't even do the middle splits. I can't even do a straddle, like to stretch.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh, the cheer tryouts. That was so fun.
SPEAKER_01That was actually so fun. And like obviously, we did such a good job. But I'm like, wow, I really lost it.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh, dude. That is so funny because I'm the same and it's just humbling.
SPEAKER_01We're just like, why are you literally you can't just like fold in half anymore? It just goes away if you don't keep doing it.
SPEAKER_00I guess not. Well, anyway. R.I.P. Maybe we need to start stretching again.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Oh my gosh. Yeah, sure it was all our extra time. Oh my gosh. Remember when you were little, did your dance team like suggest sitting in the splits with phone books underneath your foot? So you were like hyperextending your split?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Every commercial pop on the book.
SPEAKER_00Yep. Oh my gosh. Oh gosh. Okay, my next one is I am learning to play the electric guitar.
SPEAKER_01I have not seen an update. Go get it. We need to hear a few chords.
SPEAKER_00I started learning to play. I'll play the song for you. Bam, bam. Yeah. No, I'll play you the song that I'm learning to play. Okay.
SPEAKER_01We have just been on side quests since we've been gone, haven't we?
SPEAKER_00So true. I'm like all this extra, extra air quote time. Learning the electric guitar, I could have actually been recording the pod. Okay, so I saw this guy play this on TikTok and I said, Dad, I need to borrow your electric guitar because I need to learn this song, okay? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's not what it is.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Which this guy is really good, obviously, but I'm getting there. I really am. It's pretty challenging. I can imagine. But it's really fun. But committed to the bed, I had to chop her nails down, guys. Oh, I did.
SPEAKER_01Look. Wait, those are long.
SPEAKER_00Well, I haven't cut these ones in a minute, but I just needed the left ones short.
SPEAKER_01Oh.
SPEAKER_00Because that's when you're, you know, you're picking with this one.
SPEAKER_01Wait, that's so funny.
SPEAKER_00So I chopped these ones and left these ones. So yeah, that's been really fun. And Dallin will come in and be like, how's it going? Well, he's like, can we take a break though? He's like, drop a B, drop a B. I'm like, no, I'm embarrassed. But yeah, literally the first day I got my electric guitar from my dad, played it for four hours, and Dallin literally loved him so much. But I was like sitting there playing it while he was watching TV, and he goes, So what do you think? We like put that down for a little while. Okay, yeah, you're right. It's been a minute.
SPEAKER_01Like so annoying. Oh my gosh. But do you play other musical instruments?
SPEAKER_00Huh?
SPEAKER_01Do you play you play other like piano or something?
SPEAKER_00I can play the piano and the acoustic guitar.
SPEAKER_01And I'm like, wow. Because like I take piano lessons and I can play maybe Mary Have a Little Lamb.
SPEAKER_00Like maybe three songs. I'm dead, dude. Yeah, it's I think I have one song, one or two songs memorized that are like burned in my brain.
SPEAKER_01Like if you if you saw sheet music, you'd go day. Yeah, like I can read sheet music. Yeah, yeah. See, I can, but I'm like middle C. Yes. Yeah. It's so fun. Oh, I can't read it fast. It's like a kindergartner channel to read. Yes. Oh my gosh. Okay. My next one is I kind of basically quit the dating apps. Like I just took a break from everything, not on purpose. And while it was like kind of nice, it also sucks because I have no funny dating stories for you guys. Yeah, what the heck? Nobody zipsilch. Yeah. I and like I have no motivation to get back on. Like I'll like kind of get on, like actually almost every day. I'll get on for like two seconds and then I'm like, meh, screw this. Yeah. Someone will message me, I look at them again, I'm like, nah. It's not even worth it. Yeah. But then, how am I gonna get married? So I'm gonna have to get back on the apps. Unless somebody's gonna set me up with them. Unless you meet somebody in the wild. Or you meet somebody in the wild, which I did. I actually did. I met somebody in the wild and I went on a first date. Yeah. That was fun. And then he was like, Yeah, we're going on a second date. I'm gonna come up to Ogden. We're gonna play pickleball, yada yada yada. Literally, I just noticed yesterday, he unfollowed me on Instagram.
SPEAKER_00This is the guy from the like actual speed dating like night. We met in person. Yes. He asked me out after that.
SPEAKER_01What the hell? What the hell is wrong with these men? And also, I'm like, okay, so you weren't interested, but like, why are we going so hard on planning a second date? What the hell? During the date, at like right when I was leaving, he's like, I'm gonna come off to Ogden next time. Because we met like in the middle. We were trying to go to Top Golf, but homeboy did not make a reservation. Literally, right when he told me, he's like, I'm gonna go down and get a bae. I'm like, we're not getting a bae by until no. I'm like, okay, I'll meet you there. Then he calls me, he's like, So it's gonna be a four hour wait. I'm like, duh. You're 35 years old and you don't know that you need to make a reservation at Top Golf. Yeah, that's crazy. Anyway, we had a really fun date, and then at the end, he's like, Okay, next time, like, I'm gonna come to Ogden. Like, here's the plan, blah, blah, blah. And then text me later. Yeah. Can't wait to beat you at pickleball because he's never played. He's like, I'll beat you at your own sport. Now you have followers.
SPEAKER_00He's nowhere to be found.
SPEAKER_01I know what happened, but that's okay. He was he was not the one for me. Yeah. But it was like our first date was fun. So I did have that, and then I think that might have been my only first date this whole year. Right? This whole year? First date? I think so. Maybe. Every other one has been I think people you know. Yeah, I let a few people come back and I shouldn't have. Yeah. But now they're done, gone. They're out of here. Gone, gone, gone. You don't follow each other anymore, is that what you said? Yeah. Well, some of them don't even have social media. Yeah. But I think that might have been my only first date. So sorry guys, I don't even have much Then. Yeah. Damn. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's it. So, like my dating wrapped for 2025 or 2026 is gonna be way way quicker than my one for 2025. That was so funny. Whatever. So yeah, but I will get back on because the sippers need the dating stories. We do Malcount supply those. Yeah. So I will do my due diligence.
SPEAKER_00Thank you. We appreciate it. Okay, you're appreciate your service. Okay, my next one is I woke up to a DM today. Woke up to a DM in my requests, and it was a girl who was in the student body when I was in high school. And their job's still not over. It's not. I'm like, that sucks. And she said, Hey Mallory, with our class of 2016 tenure reunion coming up. 10. I've been graduated for 10 years this year. We wanted to reach out and get an update on where our Falcons are now. Please share some pictures of you now. We are excited to check in and see how life has been. We have a couple of questions if you would like to share. One, what has your what has been your favorite job since leaving high school? No.
SPEAKER_01Nobody cares. I don't care about anybody's jobs since high school.
SPEAKER_00No. Number two, what are your current hobbies?
SPEAKER_01Oh no.
SPEAKER_00Playing the electric guitar. Number three, what has happened in your life since graduating?
SPEAKER_01I got married about you first. Got married again.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_01No. Also, let's like spice up these questions.
SPEAKER_00Let's Yeah, like who peaked in high school? Who do you think peaked?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Who's lost their job since high school? Who's in financial ruin right now?
SPEAKER_00Please make it all. Make it all anonymous. I don't care. Oh.
SPEAKER_01Wait. You need to get your hands on this reunion. So I have this podcast, and people submit anonymous confessions, and I think you guys should do that. Who's the crush you had in high school that you never admitted to? Maybe there's no. I think do see that. Actually, it would be fun. I actually would show up for that. Who is who is married but can't stop thinking about somebody from high school? Wait. Get clickety-clacky.
SPEAKER_00Okay, anyway. So then she tells me like when it is and where it is and like how much it is. To say I had like a visceral reaction to that message would be an understatement. What are they doing? They're going to like a park and eating.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I was gonna say ours was literally in a park.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Did you go?
SPEAKER_00No! Okay, yeah. Will not be in attendance. For the reasons being, A, there's people I really do not care to see. People as of like late that things have happened with or like things have made it back to me that I'm like, actually, I would rather do anything else than see you at my high school reunion. B, none of my best friends even went to the high school that I went to. So I'm like, okay, yeah, if I got invited to Syracuse High or Layan High, sure, I'd be showing up to you. I always say that you went to what? Clearfield? Clearfield, yeah. And like obviously I had friends at Clearfield because I cheered. I had my whole cheer team love those girls, but it's like I don't there's people hang out with cheer to see. There's people I don't care to see. There are people that I would love to see and like catch up and see how they're doing, but we can run into them at Smiths. Back to option A. I would rather not see the people I don't want to see.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no.
SPEAKER_00You know.
SPEAKER_01If there's anyone I want to catch up with at a high school reunion 10 years after high school, I'll reach out to them myself. Well, it's literally 2026. I've I have social media. I can say respect them if I really want to know what's going on.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. Exactly. So just thought that was really funny. And like, this girl's so freaking cute. Like, this is nothing against her. Yes, this is nothing against her. I just was like, sorry, I'm not coming and I will not be sharing that I'm playing the electric guitar now. That I've been divorced. And that I've been divorced. Nobody to marriage number two. You just had to get that first one out of the way, you know? So funny. So that was my uh funny little story from this morning.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no high school reunions.
SPEAKER_00So I'm just like, ugh, like this really reaction, this earl reaction. I do not want to go see people from high school.
SPEAKER_01No, and get out of my DMs.
SPEAKER_00If you're on my requests, I mean that says it all. I literally can think of like people maybe on two of my hands that I would love to see.
SPEAKER_01But haven't you like ran into people since high school and you're like, oh, you're actually like mature now. You're not a funny anymore.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like the funniest guy I knew in high school. We ran into him the other day at a restaurant. We're just like chit-chat with him, and I'm like, ew. Like, yeah, you're just like a mature grown girl. Where's the one I knew back in high school that was like throwing chickens inside of my friend's house for fun?
SPEAKER_00It's actually so funny because somebody I did go to high school with that, like, you know, you just had like those random friendships in high school that you just like loved them so much. Like this guy that I was friends with in high school just DM'd me on Instagram the other day and sent me a profile of another person from our school and was like talking to the T. Yeah. And was like, Do you remember this person? I'm like, wait, that's so funny. Yeah, like he hasn't changed at all. Like from what he was posting on Instagram. I'll have to show you. Please it's it's like one of the ones that you're like, oh shoot, you know, like anyway. It just when I saw his name come through, I was like, what the frick? I like loved him so much. We were like such good friends, you know.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that's so funny.
SPEAKER_00He was so we had like a class together or whatever. Okay, it was this. He said something I'm not gonna read out loud.
SPEAKER_01You can't oh, okay. Please forward this to me and I'll watch it later. Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So what a sweetie. That's hilarious. I said, oh shit, bless his heart. I'm glad to see he's still the same person. Just a little cosplay. A little cosplay happen, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh, that is so bad.
SPEAKER_00Oh man. Yeah. Okay. Carry on.
SPEAKER_01No, literally. Okay. With that being said, people that you just like don't want to see anymore or whatever. I have on here 2026 has been the year of the block button. Oh, period. It actually has been for both of us, for all of our friends. The second I uh get crossed, there's no accountability, apology, whatever. Black blocked. Boy, blocked bye. And then it is always a jump scare, like when you get on my like salon TikTok or time to spill, where I only block them on my personal, and then they like come up on my FYP. I'm like, oh, block from here. So yeah, we've been blocking left and right, and I am loving it. Or pop up in our views, and we're like, goodbye. Mainly it's in the profile views. I'm like, wait, I thought I blocked you. Oh, I'm on the run account.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you were trying to stalk me any way you could.
SPEAKER_01Blocked.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. Exactly. And they always come back wanting to see whatever they talk shit, but then they're still wondering what we're doing. Get lost. You are blacklisted. You have lost the right to see what is going on in my life from what you said about me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, quite literally. And if you're yeah, that if you're spilling tea, it always gets back to the person. So facts.
SPEAKER_00Or you don't realize that they're friends with that person.
SPEAKER_01That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You can only trust your besties with the best tea. Period, girl. But yeah, so do you guys have not been blocking people? I have a friend that blocks people all the time. And I'm like, whoa, whoa, just like, wait, just give them the benefit. Like, who cares? Whatever. And then this year I'm like, I was talking to her, I'm like, wait, so should I block? Like, now that this girl has betrayed me like 50 times, I'm like, so should I block her? She's like, why didn't you block her four years ago? I'm like, okay, you're right. Okay. Yep. And ever since then, I got a taste of it. I'm like, oh, this is nice. Yeah. Never have to see with my views, on my FYP, nothing.
SPEAKER_00Speaking of the year we're Lord and Savior, 2026. 26 has taught me that I don't travel with anybody except for my core group.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Sorry. I hate to I hate to break it to anybody outside of us. Anyone outside of Kristen, do Miss Maddie Anna's Johnson. And the list goes on and on. In our core group, we'll not be traveling. No.
SPEAKER_01And the funny thing is, is we've already learned that lesson. Like you go on a girls' trip, you do a of some sort of vacation, you do a whatever, and you're like, oh, okay. People travel differently. Yeah. You're my best friend at home, but like you like to get up and go running in the morning and then go on a hike. And I just want to like lay by the beach. Like, we're not traveling compatible. Yeah. Which is fine. So we've already learned this lesson. And then we've made the mistake. And we really learned it. Very quickly. Very quickly. But that's another thing we've been doing while we've been gone. How many trips have we been on? Yeah. We went to Arizona. I went to Arizona with my family again. Yep. We went to New York. New York. We went to Boston. Cape Cod. Cape Cod. Nantucket. I went to Maine. So fun. We've been you went to freaking where did you just go? Island Park. Yeah. We have been traveling girlies. It's been so fun. So that's kept us busy. But once you have your travel people, here's your lesson. Don't stray.
SPEAKER_00Don't stray. You already know who you travel world well with.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. Just stick to it. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And it's such a gift when you find those people, isn't it?
SPEAKER_00Yes, yes.
SPEAKER_01So don't take it for granted. Okay. I kind of went out of order. Oh. I did too. I'm sitting at home alone Friday night and I hear somebody pushing my door code and I go downstairs and this little girl walks in. It's Georgie. I'm like, Georgia, Rome's not home. He's at his dad's house this weekend. Send her on her way. Not even an hour. I'm like about to get in the shower. I'm literally about to take my clothes off and I hear she comes in again. She's like, hi. I'm like, Georgia. Rome's at his dad's house for the whole weekend. Send her on her way. So I have to start using my hotel lock again.
SPEAKER_00I was gonna say, you need to put your hotel lock in gauge.
SPEAKER_01Because I was like, I asked my brother, I'm like, okay, how do I change my door code? And he's like, well, Rome's gonna give it to her again. Yeah. You're right. They run back and forth between houses all day long. Yeah. So I have to start using my little hotel lock again on the telephone. So I need to be home alone and hear like somebody trying to break in.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god. She's so cute. And then tell them, tell them what she said to Rome the other day. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01As she was walking out the other day. Well, she kissed him on the cheek. She did. I'm like, can't we need to be let's calm it down here, people. So I think she's well, then she walks out and she goes, the same day. Yeah. Bye, Wom. I love you. I'll marry you one day. She's okay. She's younger than him. She's like still in preschool. But she, I think she has, she is like crushing hard on Rome. Really? Because like they've always been little besties and they played so well together. Yeah. But then this last couple weeks, I'm like, oh no. She like loves him. Like in like she's getting a little bit older and like getting the that first. She has a crush. Yes. So when Rome's like, turn to kiss me, I'm like, where? He's like on the cheek. I'm like, okay. Where? Enough of this. I'm like, you're the older one. Come on now. Yeah. Which like it's cute, but also don't make my baby grow up yet. I'm dead.
SPEAKER_00I am dying, dude. Oh, she's so cute. Okay. Next is that I have been sick out of my mother. Effing mind. I know I kind of like talked about and oh, whatever. This is different. Okay. I had when I went to Island Park, got the word well, it was when we got home from the first the last day in Boston. Oh, yeah. I had allergies so bad. Allergies out the wazoo, which turned then into a sinus infection that lasted two weeks. Which is literal misery. Misery. Then I have a call, a cold sore pop-up. Okay. I haven't had a cold sore in four years. Four. Oh, actually? Yes. It was four years. This is my second one. Yeah. So then I have a cold sore. I'm healing. I'm healing. We go to dinner last Friday night with Downs family. And we go to Lucky Slice. We all share the same pizza. We all eat the same stuff. Eat the same ranch, eat the same whatever breadsticks. And his sister texts the next day and says, So is anybody like so sick? And we're like, no, like we're fine, you know. Who do you think it hits the next day? Me. I am barfing my guts out, shitting my pants. Literally, I sharded for the first time since I was probably eight. Yeah. As an ice girly, that's impressive. I literally have not sharded in that long. The most humbling experience to shard your pants.
SPEAKER_02It is.
SPEAKER_00Like literally. Oh, it's so embarrassing. But yeah, I did. I was really sick. Okay. Double head dragon, just so sick. I think it was the stomach flu. I don't think it was food poisoning because I think other people would have maybe gotten sick. You know? Yeah. And luckily it was only like a quick 24 hours and it was over with. So then I get that. But then I start my period, and that's fast forwarding to today when I'm dying, woke up last night, blah blah blah. And this morning just had another cold sore pop-up. My immune system is just shit right now, I think. And I'm struggling.
SPEAKER_01We need some woo-woo in here.
SPEAKER_00I literally need something. Are you taking Valchex? Yeah, I just got it today.
SPEAKER_01Okay, good.
SPEAKER_00Which I didn't have it when I was in Island Park and stuff, so that sucked. But yeah, so I think I need to get an IV. I think I need to call my girl to come over and give me an IV to boost.
SPEAKER_01You need something.
SPEAKER_00Long story short, my confession was that I started. Okay, that was my confession. She had really paid the bench too. Yeah, I really did. I've been sick as hell.
SPEAKER_01Sick as a dog. Well, on the other end of that, me over. Oh, speak.
SPEAKER_00I was just gonna have written down.
SPEAKER_01I was gonna say.
SPEAKER_00I've literally been pooping so much, you're not even gonna see my waistline anymore. You're gonna be so jealous of me because I won't have a waistline. So you think I'm sick. Yes.
SPEAKER_01I'm excited for you, Queen. I, as I'm over here telling Mallory, you need something woo-woo in here. I I know we've got haters in the audience listening to this. We've got people that are they saying every time. Oh, is Dylan a hater? Yes. Bro, do I need to go tell him? You really do. The way I used to shit myself all the time. Okay, listen, people. I'm woo-woo. And you guys have uh somebody's confession was like this stuff doesn't work, blah blah blah blah blah blah. God. Well, let me tell you what. It does how two years I have been telling you guys that I have IBS. Yeah, I use the bathroom regularly. The second I eat something that I know is gonna upset my stomach, like mayonnaise. I'm like, listen, if I get a little taste of mayonnaise straight to the bathroom, eat straight there, no time to run, no time to take your pants off half the time. It's it's coming out. Yeah, if I eat yogurt, cottage cheese, cottage cheese, whatever, like it's gotta go. Gotta go. I have self-diagnosed IBS, but I've narrowed it down to the things that upset my stomach. So it's not that it causes me any pain, but I know, like, okay, yes, I want to eat that. So how close is the nearest restroom? Okay, guys, like I, it's bad. Well, with my little woo-woo-ness, I decided to go to a muscle tester. And if you don't know what that is, it's because it is very woo-woo, and I'm not going to explain it on here. We're not getting into it. It is very woo-woo, but I went to him and I said, I think I have IBS. Like, I be shitting. I it's it's a lot to do. Yes. And you know, anyway, so he reset my meridians. Uh, it's like he's in a chiropractor's office. So let me just like paint the picture of the woo-woo-ness. We're in a chiropractor's office. He is a muscle tester, he's a nutritionist, whatever. He resets my meridians. He which is kind of like your this is Chinese medicine, Eastern medicine, whatever.
SPEAKER_00But I'm relating the meridians to your chakra, is that what you're looking for? Right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Like just whatever. The way your the the way your energy is supposed to be. Okay. Because I know you guys, some of you guys don't believe in energy. For the next week. Literally a week straight from Wednesday to Wednesday. Oh man, I was shitting all day long. Yeah. Going to the bathroom, whatever. And I called Maddie. I'm like, dude, is this what's supposed to be happening? Yeah. Because she also went and got muscle tested and got some things figured out. And she's like, no, I have been too. It has now been three weeks since then. Completely gone. Cleared. Ask Mallory how much mayonnaise they just eat upstairs. She literally just ate so much.
SPEAKER_00Have I gone to the bathroom since? Yeah, she just ate so much. She just ate so much mayonnaise and she hasn't.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, her fat ass ate so much. No, Mallory made me some chicken salad thing that is all the things that would have upset my stomach before. It had all the things. I would have been wrecked. And I'm sitting here recording a podcast. We're 52 minutes into it. And I'm fine. You feel great. Literally three weeks, I've been fine. 100%.
SPEAKER_00That's crazy. I really need to go.
SPEAKER_01Like, literally. No, 100%.
SPEAKER_00I started explaining this to Dallin. No, no, you can't. You either believe it or you don't. He gave me a what the hell? And I said, All right, you're done. I'm not explaining anymore. I'm done. He's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Tell me, like, finish telling me. I'm like, no, because it is a waste of my breath. Don't explain it to you.
SPEAKER_01If you're a hater, you don't get the explanation exactly. But I just want you guys to know because you've listened to me have to talk about my IBS for two years straight.
SPEAKER_00It's cured. It's gone. No more sharding stories from Kristen.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm sorry, but also, oh yes.
SPEAKER_00They might be coming from from me until further notice. Yeah. I'm cured. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_01No, literally, I was like, I mean, it's not really gonna do anything, whatever. We also narrowed it down to it, wasn't the like the very specific thing that was wrecking my stomach was whey, which is in milk and cheese and whatever else. And now I can have whey. Yeah. And it does not upset me at all. That's so crazy.
SPEAKER_00No more lactose intolerance over here, baby. I know. I need to go. I need to go. It's on my list, okay?
SPEAKER_01Literally, you're texting him as soon as we're done with this.
SPEAKER_00Especially after I had to call my like OBGYN, got in college, whatever.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, to help me through all of your things.
SPEAKER_00What he would say, you know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and with how sick you've been, I'm like, we need we need some sort of cleanse.
SPEAKER_00My meridians are so off skew, it's not even funny.
SPEAKER_01And we don't even have to know what meridians are to know that my IBS is cured. Yes, period. So I know it can help you.
SPEAKER_00Okay, my next one is I have a new nephew and I love him so much. I just want to squeeze him and spank his little bum. He's so cute. The week he was born was probably the most chaotic week of my entire life since we've like left the pod. This was in January, the end of January. So it was shortly after my surgery. It was a week and a half after my surgery. This is what happens. My dad goes in for a hernia surgery. I forgot about all of this. I blocked it from my memory. This is all within three days, okay? My dad goes in for a hernia surgery. They nick his water, didn't know, sew him back up. He's leaking all of his urine into his body cavity. His body is completely absorbing all of this pee into his body and swelling, and they didn't catch it, and his kidneys literally stopped functioning. And it was really scary. He literally could have gone septic. Septic. Baker, born the next day. Dad, so sick, he thinks he's not even gonna be able to see his firstborn grandson.
SPEAKER_01It's literally so sad.
SPEAKER_00But he still got wheeled up to her room to see him. What he got what? Wheeled. Like they went to the hospital and wheeled him up. I'm like, what is happening? Wheeled him up. But it's this is so sad. Should I say this? He because his body was absorbing this urine in his body. His I didn't see it. Okay, I did not see my dad's nut sack. My dad's nuts were the size of a cantaloupe. Both of them? It wasn't his nuts, it was his scrotum, he says, okay. I don't know the difference.
SPEAKER_01I don't care. Got it. Understood.
SPEAKER_00Because your body absorbs stuff into the tissue so fast that it was just swelling. Swelling a cantaloupe. Okay. So when he's being wheeled up to go see Baker, everybody's there except for me because I had already seen him that day. And Jackson goes, Dad, it looks like do you it looks like you have a towel in your pants? Like, are you okay? And he's like, It's not a towel. No, it's not a towel. It's literally my and Brock, Miranda's boyfriend, was there and just started tackling. Like, my dad is literally in the depths of hell. Like, if there's a depth of hell past that, that's where he was. And Brock is dying laughing at my dad. Okay, anyway, sorry, that was very TMI. It was bad. It was really bad. We're back with Baker's born. Then the next day, my rental property basement floods. Oh yeah. Not with water, but with shit. But with literal shit, okay? All over the walls, all of the carpet. We literally just barely finished remodeling that, and that was in January. I had to have a team come in, rip everything out, sanitize it. It was a category three, I think is what they call it. Like sewage. Oh no. So it's like detrimental to your health. You're inhaling poop into your lungs. At the time, my tenant would not leave. My basement tenant.
SPEAKER_01She had a basement tenant that would never pay her round.
SPEAKER_00Never. And had two kids, made her kids live like that. I told her multiple times to leave. So anyway, in the span of those three to five days, that's what happened in one week for our family.
SPEAKER_01What up before or after our trip? Which one? The one. Oh before. And then we left right on our trip because you were not pulling her before the surgery.
SPEAKER_00Yes, yes. It was we left for that right after all of that had happened.
SPEAKER_01Because remember, I was all you needed. All you needed was a relaxing thing.
SPEAKER_00Shit after my surgery. Yeah, and it was not. Well, after all that. Oh yeah. Yeah. And so that was like the craziest week of my entire life. My dad literally in the hospital. Yeah, he's totally fine. But that was crazy. Oh my gosh. Scary time. And then it ended up being that my dad, so the lady, his first surgeon that nicked his blotter or whatever, they had a urologist come in and fix the mess that she had made, right? Uh-huh. And it ended up being my client's husband. Like one of my brow clients. It was her husband. And I was staring at him. I'm like, is your wife so and so? And he's like, yeah, why? And I'm like, oh my gosh, I see her once a month or whatever. And it just was so funny. I'm like, so I texted her that night. I'm like, sorry, your head, because he was on call. It was so late. It was like 1 30 in the morning. I'm like, sorry, your husband wasn't home tonight. He was operating on my dad, but she was like, No way. Anyway, okay. Yeah, long story. That is wild. That is a lot. Craziest week since we've stopped the pod.
SPEAKER_01Quite literally. I don't I don't have anything near the top of that. Oh my gosh. I got a perm. Love. And curly extensions. All of my siblings have curly hair. My friends were getting perms. I'm like, wait, I want one. And my sister was like, I want curly extensions. I'm like, oh yeah, I forgot about those. So I did it. I love. And I literally love it. The one thing you have to get used to though is your hair is constantly tingling because you can't brush it out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But other than that, it makes life so easy.
SPEAKER_00You can brush them and then spray them with water and crunch them again, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I just literally like kind of finger comb it and then call it good.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Like the filter, if there's any like rat's nests, get those out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Let's go about my day. They look so good. I'm really, really shocked you haven't shared this yet. What? Kristen ate mother freaking shit in the subway.
SPEAKER_01That's not even on my list. I forgot. Kristen! I didn't I already had 12 things on my list, so I didn't end up going through my pictures. I'm like, oh I have enough. Kristen to remind me.
SPEAKER_00Shit so hard in the New York City subway, like sprawled. Like, if you guys remember when she ate shit in Belgium, sprawled shoes. Same shoes, same sprawl, like face plant.
SPEAKER_01Face plant, like splat on the ground. I'm standing five feet tall with an extra two inches because of my platform sandals, and then I'm flat on my face.
SPEAKER_00It was so one shoe off. I like apologize to her every time she buffs because I'm like, my first instinct isn't to be like, are you okay? It's like literally, I'm gonna pee my pants because I'm laughing so hard.
SPEAKER_01No, it was it was this one was not as painful as Belgium. Yeah. And it was so funny. Like, I don't care. Laugh at me. It was so funny until it wasn't when somebody tried to rush me. And then I was like, now I'm mad.
SPEAKER_00Then she was crying.
SPEAKER_01And then she had to put on her sunnies because she was crying. In the middle of the subway. I can't even see. I'm gonna step on a rat and pull it in.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh. It was so bad. Yeah, but somebody was like, We're gonna miss the train. And she's like, Okay, this isn't funny anymore. That was so funny.
SPEAKER_01No, let me tell you why I tripped. These guys are making me run to a subway. First of all, I'm not gonna say an uphill. Have you ever ran uphill on a subway? I'm I swear we're going downstairs always. I don't know where the hill came from. Yeah. We're going uphill, running. I'm wearing stupid two-inch platform sandals, not to be ran in, carrying my drain tank phone on my whatever. And then one of my shoes comes off of me. Okay, last time in Belgium I hit a cobblestone, like it actually tripped. This time the shoe came off. But she stepped on that. She said, So, and I could see it coming because I felt the shoe. And so I was like, oh no, I like I made the sounds before because I knew what was gonna happen. And because you know, if you learned in science class in the fifth grade, an object in motion will stay in motion until acted upon by equal or opposite force. Whoa, how do you remember that? My dad does it all the time. I don't know, my dad. Okay, okay, so literally you run, you're running, the shoe comes off. Your body's still moving until I hit the ground. Okay, so I step on the shoe, flip forward, bam, I'm on the ground. Takes I saw it coming, so I didn't even have to realize what just happened. So I'm also like laughing, and I'm like, you guys, obviously, everybody hears it. I smack the ground, I yell, they're all cracking up. You guys remind you, we're catching a subway. These things are coming every 10, 15, maybe 20 minutes at the most. This one was 30. Okay. Well, wow. It was 15. It was 15. It was 15. Was it though? It was. And it was okay. 17 because this one was coming in two minutes. And so then we had 17 minutes until that one came, which would have been 15 minutes after we missed this one. Okay. Yes, I checked. That's why I was so pissed. Anyway, so I hit the ground. She has her face. They're like, whatever, get up. As if I wanted to be on the subway floor. And then my friend's like, hurry, we're gonna miss the subway. I'm like, okay. Well, actually, I didn't say that. I said, I don't effing care. Like, as if I want to be on the floor right now. Like, my shoe is off, my sunglasses, who knows where they are? I'm face down on the floor. I'm trying to get up. Like, I'm hurrying. Please give me a moment. Don't rush me to the subway that is gonna be here again. As if we had we were going to a flea market. It was as if we were like gonna miss the door to get into the movies, and we were stuck outside for the rest of the time. The plane. It was acting like it was an airplane, to be honest. So I got pissed, and then I was like, all the emotions came out. Like, so I was tearing up sunglasses on. I'm like uh limping down. My friend that was so worried about the damn subway took my phone and said now I can't get into the subway. So I had to make her turn around. Oh my gosh, dude. I guess what we still made it on the subway. Yeah, we did. Slay. We did. I forgot about that trauma.
SPEAKER_00That was so damn funny. I'm so sorry.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, that was a good confession. Thanks.
SPEAKER_00I was just so happy I wasn't the one rushing.
SPEAKER_01I know. Yeah. I think everybody was happy that wasn't them. So next time your foot your friend falls on the ground, have your laughs, have your giggles. Don't rush them. Yeah. Trust me, they don't want to be there. They don't want to be on the ground. Give them a sec to get up. Okay. Well, my next one is I caught wind that somebody said I was jealous of who they were dating because they were by type. And I'm like, I literally didn't even know you had a boyfriend. Like, I do not care.
SPEAKER_00That's diabolical. So I guess I'm jealous. But that tells you how much you live rent-free in that person's head. I literally was like, okay.
SPEAKER_01Why not? But this is the story you're actually spreading. Okay, how fun with a crazy, crazy words. I'm actually loving my single life. Like, I'm not on the apps. I'm like so fulfilled. I'm traveling. Like, I'm having so much fun.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Literally not jealous at all. Thank you. We literally don't care, especially after what we've heard about said person.
SPEAKER_00So whatever.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and what we can speculate on our own.
SPEAKER_00Okay. In this break, I traveled to San Francisco to meet my European bosses. Okay, you've traveled a lot. I know. I actually forgot until I just looked down. They on a whim so quickly were to be like, We're in San Francisco. Do you want to come fly out? And I was like, Yeah, sure. Like, yeah, whatever. I didn't think they were being serious. So I find myself on a flight two days later to San Francisco. Well, I've never met these men in my entire life. So my brain is obviously going worst case scenario, right? Like I'm on the plane. Like I literally had to take a Xanax before I got on that flight because I was like, I'm literally gonna get traffic. Like, I am walking in to be trafficked. Like genuinely. I thought I was gonna get trafficked. I didn't. I'm still here to tell to tell. But I had like woken up at 4 a.m. that because my flight was so early. 4 a.m. curled my hair just to make sure I was it stayed, whatever. They picked me up in a convertible from the airport. Okay. So and you know when you're in the back row of a convertible, that wind is just so much worse back there than being in like the passenger seat.
SPEAKER_01You don't have a windshield in front of your face. No.
SPEAKER_00So I my hair is flying all over the place, and the whole time I'm sitting there, I'm like, so much for waking up at 4 a.m. to curl my effing hair. And they're just like blasting their French rap music.
SPEAKER_01I'm like were they like trying to talk to you? And you're like, you can't hear you.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, I can't hear you back here. What do you mean? So they like pull into a gas station to get gas, and I'm like, can we like put the top on, please? And they're like ready to convertible for a reason. I can't hear you. I literally can't hear you back here. Anyway, it ended up being totally fine. So fun. They like showed me around the city. It was it was all expenses paid. All expenses paid. I stayed in a really cute boutique hotel. Like it was so funny, but yeah, so we're tight now. That's fine. We're tight now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they don't they think they're cooler than they are. Okay. This is like a whole story. Okay, what would you do if you saw this? Okay. Scenario. The scenario. You're at a pool. You don't know anybody else there. You know two other people. But there's like a bunch of kids you don't know. One is being not nice. You you notice it. You see it happen again. You see a girl over there crying. You see him say, Oh, you can't get up on the paddleboard to somebody else. What would you do in that situation? Do you know the kid that's like being rude? I don't know the kid. I know a fourth of no, I probably know half the kids there and two parents. I do not know who this kid is. Right. Well, here's what I did. Oh no. So we're in the pool. I know my sister and I know the house that we're at. And then she invited two other friends. And I don't know who their kids are. I'm barely meeting, like, what's your name? Whatever. Yeah. There's one paddleboard in the pool, all of these kids. And this kid, like, my Rome is six, everybody's younger than that. And then this kid's maybe seven, maybe eight. So he's definitely the oldest one. He's paddleboarding around, and Graham goes to get on it, and he's like, No, you can't get on it. Whatever. Not nice. To your nephew. Yes. Then Graham's wearing a puddle jumper from the family because we forgot ours. Well, Maddie forgot theirs. But I gave him the pink one. I'm like, oh, you can wear this one. So it's pink and unicorns. Yeah. So Graham's like trying to get on the paddleboard again, and he was like, There's no unicorns on the paddleboard. And so then now you could just tell Graham's like self-conscious of wearing the uniform puddle jumper. So he's just like so defeated. So Maddie goes over there and she's like, No, he can get on. Graham, do you want to get on? And he's just like, his face just like drawing. Oh, buddy. Like being bullied by this freaking kid. Okay. So then Maddie comes over and tells me what happened. I'm like, no. And then we look over and we see the girl whose house we're at, like kind of sulking in the corner. And we're like, we put the pieces together. We're like, he wouldn't let her on it either. Oh. So then he comes over, Graham gets back in the pool, another kid's trying to get on it. He says no, and he's like pushing him away with the freaking paddle. Paddle. So then I can't, I don't even know which kid at this point. So now we're like seeing all these situations. It's probably happened six or seven times. And then right in front of us, I they're like, you know, I'm sitting on the edge of the pool and they're right there. And he tells another kid they can't get on the paddle board. And me and Body both at the same time go, Yes, she can. Like we're getting so mad. Yeah. And right then my friend walks up. And so I was like trying to tell her. I'm like, there's a bully in the pool. Like, yeah. He's not listening to us. He won't let anybody know the thing. Right here. Who's the bully? Is it my kid? I'm like, who are you? It was their kid. It was their kid. They were sitting right next to me. And I'm like, the whole time. I don't know when they got there. But I didn't mean to. I probably would have addressed it differently had I known their parents were right there. I would have said, like, hey, can you tell your kid to like be nicer? No, but I'm like talking to my friend. I'm like, there's a bully in the pool. I don't know who the kid is, but he's being rude. Yeah. And they were right behind me. And they're like, who's the bully? I'm like, it's like that second. I literally was like, I don't, I don't know who the parents are, but or I don't know who the kid is, but like it's that one right there. Yeah. So then did she like tell her kids not that one or like first and middle name yelling at him? Yes. Oh, good. But then they were on him the whole night. Yeah. And there was like multiple situations. I'm like, I figure this is not the first time. No. I actually love that you said there's a bully in the bull. I know, but I would have handled it differently had I would been talking to a person I had just met versus my friend. Right. Yes. But Maddie knew. So she was dying inside. She's like, wow, this is really pissed.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, I was, but I literally find the lips. Stop. That is so funny, dude. So I mean, I know he's young. He's learning to share and be kind, but like, ugh, nothing grinds my ears more.
SPEAKER_01Than a bully. The second I saw those kids like faces be def. Not only was it like not like I'm not sharing my toy, it was you can't get on this because you're wearing unicorns. I'm like, yeah.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01Mama bear kicked in.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh. So yeah. That is hilarious, dude. How many more do you have? I think that was my last one. Okay. Then I guess we'll end on the best for last. Okay. Whatcha? And it's not about me. It's not like I'm like, my my story is the best, the last. It's that we, we, me and Kristen, have the cutest merch. Oh, that's a good one. Coming. Probably we'll probably do a pre-order here soon. No, like I don't think you guys understand. It is the cute like I cannot wait to get my hands on these. No.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But we do have to do a pre-order because we have a minimum minimum order quantity that we have to hit in order to like place the order, which is 30 sweatshirts.
SPEAKER_01So that's 30, 30 sets. Well, when me, means we need 20 supporters here.
SPEAKER_00But I I don't think you'll have any issue like not wanting this sweatshirt. Because everybody's gonna want it.
SPEAKER_01And also, like once we hit the 30 or whatever, whatever the pre-order is, once we order, like we probably won't get them again. So no, we won't get this colorway again. So you're gonna want to hop on this? It'll probably take two or three weeks to get here.
SPEAKER_00Dude, they are so freaking cute. Every detail. But I think it'll be perfect. We'll drop them probably right after this episode. And I think it'll be perfect timing because we'll be going into the fall.
SPEAKER_01Like, if you're going into like the end of summer, you're gonna want to wear it. Mock neck sweatshirt. Oh my gosh. And not only like I feel like our merch was really cute in the past. Like we're we're good at merch. But just so you know who is designing this merch is a fashion icon. It's not just like a podcast whipping out merch. Like Mallory has asking me what material wants. The thickness, the what did you call it? Like the grade of the sweatshirt. It's literally the grams of the grams. I'm like, how would I ever? I want my logo on a sweatshirt if I was picking merch. That's how I would do it. No, you guys. Mallory's a fashion queen queen. She is putting all of her expertise into this drop. So it's beyond just a podcast merch.
SPEAKER_00Yes, but you are a good sounding board for designs. So give yourself some more credit.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, yes, love sled.
SPEAKER_00Love it. Please do it. I don't know, but I'm I don't think I've ever been so excited for merch. Like from my own boutique, from my own, like like this. Really? Elite. Yes. This is elite.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm obsessed. I'm good. I'm so excited. I can't wait for you guys to see it.
SPEAKER_00Which we did do a little like sneak peek on our stories the other day. You guys probably had no idea what it was, but if you saw that, that was the sneak peek. Keep watching though. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Maybe we'll do more sneakies. Yeah. Or we'll be dropping it soon. Yeah. At timedespill podcast.com. Yeah. I'm so excited. I'm so excited too. Okay, guys. So we are back. We're coming back every Monday, 8 a.m. We will be here.
SPEAKER_00Yes. And we promise us to us parts. We've promised to vow never to ghost you again. Really so sorry. What was the sound I sent you today? You didn't call! You didn't. What was it? Your phone was on. I didn't listen to it yet. Oh, you haven't? We're gonna make a TikTok to the sound, and that was us. This is us, and this is you guys saying this to us, okay?
SPEAKER_01Nobody knew where you were, and your phone went off.
SPEAKER_00So that's probably how we imagined you guys felt. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And by the way, we free we did not open them until this week when we decided to come back, but we loved them all as they were coming in. We were like, no. Yeah. Did we make a mistake?
SPEAKER_00They missed us. They missed us. We're back. And honestly, like I was talking to Kristen. We had we finally had our business meeting. Okay. We went to the park. We got Houston Hot Chicken. Fire off. It was funny. That was so good. We finally had our business meeting and planned all of our episodes through the end of the year. So don't fret. But I was telling Kristen I'm like, I love recording the pod, but I love more like getting all the girls together. Like the movie nights were my favorite. Like looking back on the last two years that we did the pod, the events were like my favorite.
SPEAKER_01So expect more of those.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Especially our end of summer soirée.
SPEAKER_01That's gonna be so fun. I can't wait. Yeah.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01Well, we love you guys so much. We're so excited to be back. Please, please, please. If you haven't already, we would love a review. Tell us how excited you are that we're back. And five stars, please. We're trying to grow here. And follow us on TikTok and Instagram at Times This Build Podcast. And we love you so much. Pinkies up, Sippers. Is that what I say? Until next week. Oh, the way she looked at me, I'm like, did I totally okay? I missed one thing. And until next week, Pinkies Up Sippers.
