The Forensic Files Duo
Recapping, updating and sometimes correcting the ORIGINAL True Crime TV show, Forensic Files. One host has been watching True Crime shows since she was (way too) young and the other host thought he was starting a podcast about The X Files, so he is learning everything about true crime for the first time.
The Forensic Files Duo
The Victims of "The Southside Strangler" Episode
Episode 13 recaps and updates the Forensic Files Episode from Season 1, Episode 6 years called "The Souther Side Strangler". After years of terrorizing and murdering women in Richmond and Arlington, VA, FBI profiling, advances in DNA testing and good-old detective work lead Detectives to the man who raped and strangled five women in Virginia from 1984 through 1988. Not only is this The U.S. criminal justice system's first use of DNA profiling in a serial murder case that convicts and ultimately sentances the man to death but it also frees an innocent man after he spent five years in prison.
In honor of:
Debbie Davis
Dr. Susan Hellams
Diane Cho
Carolyn Hamm
Susan Tucker
And all of the victims of the Masked Rapist that never got their day in court.
*This episode includes a statement regarding Ethics & True Crime as well as an incident Danielle had on Instagram with a well-known podcaster so she discusses accountability when in a position of influence.
