Get ready to be captivated and intrigued as we delve into my life of spirits and all things paranormal. Join me, your host, jay Lane, on the Laneway to Spirit, as I share my stories and personal experiences in the hopes of inspiring others to explore their own spirituality. Grab your favorite mug and settle in and let's get started. Today's subject is very interesting because I wanted to talk about evidential mediumship, and it's a newer term out there, so a lot of people aren't familiar with it. But exactly what is that? Well, evidential mediumship is a spiritual practice that emphasizes delivering specific information and evidence from the spirit world, offering proof of life after death, evidence from the spirit world offering proof of life after death. And this form of mediumship involves a medium, of course, a person who claims to have the ability to communicate with spirits, working as a conduit between the living and those who've passed on. And, unlike other types of mediumship, it strives to provide clear and verifiable details about the deceased, such as their identity, personality traits and shared memories with the bereaved, and one of the most distinguishing features of evidential mediumship is the emphasis on validation. Mediums trained in this practice often provide information that can be substantiated by the living, such as specific names, dates, significant events and, in my case, down to the foods that you've had within the last few days. And this level of detail not only comforts those in mourning, but it also aims to foster a deeper understanding of the continuity of consciousness beyond physical death. Through this connection, clients may experience a sense of closure or reassurance, feeling that their loved ones are still with them in spirit. Evidential mediumship also involves a careful ethical framework, so responsible mediums understand the emotional sensitivities of their client and they aim to deliver messages with compassion, with integrity and sometimes with humor.

Now, today I want to share three readings from my J Live Facebook series. These recordings capture random readings that I've done, not really to convey specific messages, but to demonstrate that spirits are always present with us in the kitchen, at the salon, at the mall and everywhere in between. Now the goal is for you to understand that spirits may not always have a particular message, but their constant companionship is really what they wish for us to recognize. So you'll hear from Barb and how she prepared her meatballs as her spirits watched over her. You'll also learn about Kathy, whose deceased husband followed her to camp and surprisingly talked about a potato masher. And then you'll hear from Sarah, whose father got my attention by showing me a root beer and how he followed her around by telling me the things that she did over the past few days. So, barb, let's go Hi.

Speaker 2

Barb Hi.

Speaker 1

How are you?

Speaker 2

I'm just wonderful how are you.

Speaker 1

You know what. I can't complain at all. Oh my God. So did you like make meatballs in the oven?

Speaker 3

Yes, I baked them in the oven.

Speaker 1

I just want to ask you something did you take, like wax paper, something and freeze them?

Speaker 3

yeah, I put a bit of parchment paper in a freezer bag yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 1

So yeah, because I see that wax paper or it's like white yeah, parchment paper, yeah, parchment okay. Because I see you doing that. Okay, not just throwing them all in a container, but actually putting some paper in something. So if you did that, you made your sauce separately and then you threw them in, okay. Exactly yes, yeah, you did, and it was within the last three days. So they make. It is so they make, is that true? Yes, yes, and we had them tonight for supper.

Speaker 2

I put them in the sauce.

Signs and Messages From Loved Ones

Speaker 1

Yeah, so they talk about this very, very clearly, okay. It must have been really good because you made your meatballs a little bit different. All right, so it's just the way they make me feel with the breadcrumbs. Or the way you soaked your breadcrumbs instead of putting them in dry. All right, so it's just the way you soaked your breadcrumbs instead of putting them in dry. All right, so it's just the way they make me feel you made them. All right, I would never think of making them in the oven. What a good idea.

Speaker 3

Oh yeah, broil them, it just takes 10 minutes. They cook up beautifully.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 3

No mess.

Speaker 1

Yeah Well, it just makes me feel like in the oven. I haven't made them in a long time, but I'll just like fry them really quick. You know what I? Mean just like just like a little fry, you know, then I throw them in my sauce. But the thing is, I've never made them separate like that. But that's a good idea.

Speaker 3

I really, really thought of doing that if you have a convection oven, just convection broil and it's wonderful, fast, easy yeah, easy peasy.

Speaker 1

Wow, I thought of that.

Speaker 2

Do a whole bunch of them.

Speaker 1

Yeah, so definitely, just to let you know. I don't know if you had April or August around you.

Speaker 3

April is my birth month and August is my brother's birth month.

Speaker 1

Yeah, but they talk about having that around them. So they come to visit April and August I don't know if there's someone on the 25th or the 26th of a month also.

Speaker 2

Oh, I'm April 26th.

Speaker 1

So that's you? Yeah, so they talk about that also, so they come to see you quite often. But if that's you, you made a really good sauce. Oh, it was good. Yeah, yeah, okay. So look at this. I already got freaking people here. Let's go get kathy.

Speaker 2

Hi, kathy hi, how are you, honey bunch, I'm good okay how are you?

Speaker 1

you know what? I can't complain. Nobody listens where are you? I'm at home. Oh really, who's in february, honey? Who's in february?

Speaker 2

who's in febru?

Speaker 1

Yeah, birthday anniversary. Like I keep on getting that.

Speaker 2

I don't know who's in.

Speaker 1

February. They talk about number twos then. So if not, it could be November.

Speaker 2

I have yeah, I have an anniversary in November.

Speaker 1

Okay, two, 11, 20, or 29? Just trying to rule out the other number twos. Anything there of any other month.

Speaker 2

My late husband's birthday was January 2nd. Good Passed away on September, the 11th Perfect.

Speaker 1

Those are all number twos for me, and it doesn't matter which month. Two 11, one plus one is two. Twenty two plus zero is two. Two plus nine is 11,. One plus one is two. That's around you right now as we speak in the room. Okay, mashed potatoes, just need to know, or?

Speaker 2

something to do with mashing potatoes just in the last three four days. I just need to know. Yes, yeah, I used the potato masher at camp to mash black beans.

Speaker 1

Oh it's to mash beans to make me feel they were around mashing. I could see someone mashing something and it looks like a potato masher to me it was a potato masher to me yeah, he was a potato masher. Yeah, but anyways, he was around you, honey. Okay, who's around your dead husband? Yes, yeah, so well, he was, and this mashing wasn't that long ago. It was like maybe the last three, four days is the way I feel about it. You know what I mean. When was it?

Speaker 2

Saturday yeah.

Speaker 1

Yeah, so you talked about mashing Holy shit. So you must have mashed a lot of freaking beans.

Speaker 2

No, but he was with us because our dock had washed up on rocks, okay, and I had to bring the quad to camp and get the dock off, and my son-in-law and I worked at that, but we would never have known how to do it, except my husband was with.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah, he was with. Oh yeah, oh yeah, mashing, mashing, yeah, oh yeah. So I felt he was with us, he was with you, yeah. But he makes me feel to mention the mashing because, like I see that potato masher going 100 miles an hour.

Speaker 2

He loves mashed potatoes.

Speaker 1

Really. Oh yeah, I never miss mashed potatoes too much, like I prefer them hard-boiled, believe it or not. Like you know, it's really weird. But just a little bit of butter there. But the minute I mash them it's not the same. I don't like the lumps.

Speaker 2

Oh no, that was his favorite thing. Really that was his favorite thing.

Speaker 1

Yeah, well, he shows me a potato masher anyways, but he was around you mashing something just last three, four days. But I want to thank you, kathy. He's always around you and if your anniversary was in November and he's on the 2nd and he passed on the 11th, he's with you all the time. Please say hi to your son also, thank you. Thank you for helping out, so make me feel good. Or your son-in-law, whoever that was. And also, I don't know why you want to hear, but I hear Eddie, you know. So I don't know why I hear that name, eddie. And if not, does something to do with May May 4th maybe?

Speaker 2

My grandmother? Is she May 4th? No, oh, oh, my nephew is may 4th. Yeah, I have a great nephew may 4th, yeah because they call those eddies.

Speaker 1

if it's not eddie they call, they talk about may 4th, and so they want to acknowledge may 4th and my may 4th. E is the fifth letter. Four is D A, b, c, d, a, b, c, d E, so five, four, so May 4th.

Speaker 2

Yeah, he still talks about his Uncle Rick and he only met him very few times. Yeah, but he still talks about my husband and his birthday is May 4th.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, but tell him thank you Because he appreciates May 4th. Okay, yeah, but tell him thank you because he appreciates me for us. Okay, he calls him Eddie, but that's the way I get my answers from them, through numbers. Yeah, but thank you so much, sweetie. I really appreciate you coming on.

Speaker 2

Thank you, I love to listen to you.

Speaker 1

Oh, thank you. I really appreciate that. I really do. Thank you, kathy, take care. Thank you, bye.

Root Beer and Spiritual Connections

Speaker 1

So now I want to go and hi ray, um, I want to go get sarah now. Sarah, right away, oh my freaking god. Um, I don't know if you have april around you, or 4, 13, 22 or 31, if not energy of twins or adopted or fostered kids, oh my God, like right away. I feel that. So I don't know if it's like on mom's side of the family, but I would feel like to a mother's side, but I feel something to do with that. I don't know if there's something to do with, like Scott or Steve, or S Sonny, I don't know S names. I'm not Steph, you know. Stephen, I don't know S names. I'm not Steph, you know. Uh, stephen's, I don't know. But, hi, sarah, um, but the thing is, they show me S male names, so something to do with S's. So I always think of Scott, steve, that kind of thing. So do you understand that at all? Um, sarah, they talk about a very close connection to that. Where did you go, sweetie?

Speaker 1

So number fours, or 4, 13, 22, or 31, or April, birthdays, anniversaries, passings, and, and then S, like Steve, is your brother, perfect. Now, the thing is, if Steve is your brother, it doesn't mean that he's passed or anything, so I'm not getting that. But the thing is they make me feel there's a connection to Scott or Steve those are the names I think of with males. I don't know also if there would be like an April connection also, so just to let you know, or or for 1322 or 31, or those twins, or adopted or fostered kids, but there's, there's some kind of connection around that Sarah that they're talking about to the other side, or that I'm feeling, yes, mom's birthday is in April. Good, so they do make me feel okay. And if your mom's birthday is in April, there, they do make me feel okay. And if your mom's birthday's in April, there's a connection coming through on that side of the family, telling you very clearly because if your brother, steve, and your mom's in April, talia, I feel very strong now.

Speaker 1

Um, there's somebody that talks about dying too quickly. Too quickly is like I'm thinking I'm going to live, but what the hell freaking happens here. They freaking. I died so fast, so it's almost like when I find out I could be in denial of what's going on, but I'm way too advanced in whatever disease I have. So if I'm talking on behalf of the spirits as Sarah, that's what I'm getting.

Speaker 1

So the thing is, someone makes me feel like a little bit gypped out of, and I think it's just the way I talk, guys. So please don't take offense to my comments or how I talk, but but there's definitely something to do with that feeling like, uh, totally pissed off about, and that it's not that they're pissed off now because they're not. I don't want anyone thinking that spirits are pissed off on the other side because they are not. But I gotta tell you, sarah, this fear is very adamant about like bailing out too fast, and the thing is there's something to do with that. I definitely think. I think it's a female, but it could be a male, but I think it's a female. So I'm looking for your comment. Oh there, so that's your grandma. Okay, so I get it Now.

Speaker 1

Sarah, is there also like a January or an October feeling around you, like, or the first, or the 10th, or the 19th, or even the 28th? These are all number ones. For those of you who know me, you would know that I always talk about my ones. But I'm seeing that. And she passed at 65. Oh my God, that's way too young. Oh, I could just get that for sure. You know what? Like right away, I saw root beer.

Speaker 1

I don't know why that's the freaking weirdest thing. So don't know why that's the freaking weirdest thing. So don't ask me why, but I see you there. Oh my god, there's something funny. But, um, sarah, they want you to know. They come around you quite a bit. I definitely have another soul that comes through, but I can't tell how they pass. But they do make me feel they've been around you for a while.

Speaker 1

So we get the feeling that one of the spirits that comes around you has been lurking around for a few years, so it wouldn't be just someone that just passed away two, three years ago. Okay, I don't know if you're the one that's really colorful, like cursing, like I don't know. I almost feel like, um, you know when, like something happens and you just go on a slur of freaking curses and like they make me feel alone when I do that, but like it's just like I went on a freaking cursing rant and um, so there's something to do with that. Jesus, I keep on seeing a root beer. Uh, hang on, sarah. Oh my god, oh my God, here we go.

Speaker 1

My dad worked at an A&W. Oh my God, sarah, sarah, you need to come on. I'm going to invite you on. So I'm going to put the link down for Sarah. Sarah, I hope you can come on, but I need to talk to you because I keep on seeing root beer, okay, and the thing is, I'm really getting clear stuff around you if your dad works there. So I definitely have spirits coming through. But this is for Sarah. So, sarah, all you have to do is go on that link. Allow your audio and video. Sarah. So hi, sarah, hi, I'm so excited. Yay, so how are you?

Speaker 3

I'm good, I'm really good. How are you?

Speaker 1

You know what? I'm feeling pretty good. I feel so connected. Today I felt really great. I had some really great readings all day, so just feels good to be like super on. I don't know, it's just like, oh, it's silly, but it's just. I just know I have such a connection to you.

Speaker 1

I'm gonna tell you so like right away when I was talking to you, I get the fact that somebody like short change or died too quickly. You know what I mean for sure. I have a strong feeling of number fours around you, so I don't know if it's april, january, february, march, april and if not the fourth of any month 13, 1 plus 3 is 4, 42, 2 plus 2 is 4, or 31 3 plus 1 is 4 of any month yeah, for sure, my mom's birthday is april yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1

Then they talk about root beer and and there's like root beer and keep on seeing, like specifically, and the thing is like for me, these people must have drank a lot of freaking root beer they did nonstop.

Speaker 3

My parents met 35 years ago at ANW. My dad was the bear guy up in Barrie and my mom, oh yeah, like root beer is such a staple in our family, it's such a significant symbol and we always are drinking it as a family and there's pictures everywhere of their history and time together at A&W, so it's so huge.

Speaker 1

Oh my god. You know it's crazy, but like I'm seeing root fairs so strongly they're also connecting to number one. So I don't know if it's like January or October or the first 10th, 19th or 28th, but someone's talking about that too.

Speaker 3

That's awesome. My birthday is October.

Speaker 1

So that's you. So definitely they're around you quite a bit. Now did you change your path three, four years ago.

Speaker 3

I did, yeah, what did you do?

Speaker 1

honey.

Speaker 3

Well, we just so I was in politics in Ontario and then we just shifted out here to Nova Scotia. So we relocated and kind of switched my career and everything and yeah, it was kind of a big leap and I'm kind of doing it again right now, so Good, for you, but they make me feel other changes coming.

Speaker 1

They're good changes, though, honey Good, so I feel really good about it. I feel pulled to it.

Speaker 3

That's awesome.

Speaker 1

Pulled to it, so you're really motivated to do this. It's like a new journey for you, a hundred percent. Yeah, that goddamn slate clean. Excuse my french, but I'm wiping that freaking slate clean and I don't give a shit. Here I come so they make me feel you are on fire good.

Speaker 3

oh, that's such a great feeling. Thank you, that's awesome.

Speaker 1

Yeah, so good for you. I feel really achieving so much. And don't worry about some shortcomings. If you have them, they're really short lived, it's just adjustments. You know what I mean. So I feel so good, awesome, yeah, thank you. Who's PI? Who's?

Speaker 3

who Pete Pete? Well, well, I do, I have an uncle pete. Yeah, um, you had said steve, that's my brother steve or scott, I was feeling around you.

Speaker 1

And then the april connection, root beer, very january or october connection to the root beer and to the april. So that's, yeah, the thing is I was also hearing pierre or pete, you know. So the thing is, I was also hearing Pierre or Pete, you know. So the thing is there's something to do with that and I don't know why they're saying it, because I don't have any Pete's or Pierre's yeah, no, that's.

Speaker 3

uh, that's interesting because I do have an uncle Pete, and there's, um you know, some animosities that happen in our family involving that person, so they're mentioning that name.

Speaker 1

So the thing is there are people that are in your life to become soulmates. They are soulmates and the thing is, small mates don't always have to be romantic people, Because the thing is, a lot of people have that perception that they're supposed to be but they're not. You know what I'm saying. So the thing is, sometimes that could be something so that people learn from this, because the thing is, they make me feel there's a lesson in the soulmate connection and the thing is Pierre or Pete is an important part, if they're mentioning it, to that life plan lesson.

Speaker 3

Okay, that's good to know, yeah, so stick to your guns.

Speaker 1

Yeah, okay, be true to yourself, but never forget, because that's what keeps you safe, for sure. Okay, but get it off your back, because the thing is, the longer you carry it, the more you're gonna feel like shit and the thing is, it's really not worth it. They make you feel you're going a whole different direction. Yeah, feeling good. Oh, yeah, who the hell cares later? Oh, that's so good, thank you I feel really good for you, so good.

Speaker 3

So I'm so glad that I felt root beer yeah, I'm so glad too, because it's such a significant thing in our family. It's something we always talk about and it's something we uh, we always have together.

Speaker 1

So it's kind of it was so bizarre when you said that well, the thing is, it's no, it's not, it's what they show me and they'll always show me the connection. Somehow. It's the slightest little thing sometimes, but you know it. Yeah, you know, you'll know it, and so the thing is for me too strong, you know, but it was uh email two days ago, yay. So I don't know what they're talking about, but you do, and so they make me feel that email two days ago, oh my God. So they make me feel so happy about it. So you must have got a weekend email that you were really happy about.

Speaker 3

I literally just did. Yeah, I got accepted into school and my student loans and everything came through. Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1

So just a few days. Yeah, they make me feel so freaking happy about that's so cool. Yeah, it's been lots of celebrating around here actually the last couple days, so yeah, I see nothing but like good time, so like good for you, so I'm happy about that. Did you get the boots, by the way, the tall boots that you wanted?

Speaker 3

I was looking at boots. Actually, Did you get?

Speaker 1

the brown ones, the brown ones, the brown, not the black.

Speaker 3

Oh my gosh, that's so funny. Yes, I was actually looking at boots and I ended up getting my daughter boots, but I held off on myself.

Speaker 1

No, you're supposed to buy for you too. I'm telling you Because they show me brown, freaking hot mama boots.

Speaker 3

Oh, that's so funny.

Speaker 1

Oh, my gosh Like Because they show me brown freaking hot mama boots.

Speaker 3

Oh, that's so funny. Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1

Like they're hot girl. Okay good, they're nice, they're comfy too. They make me feel oh my God, yeah, were they $129?.

Speaker 3

You know what I think actually her boots were? I?

Speaker 1

got her a little pair of Blundstones and I think they were yeah, they were $129 or something you know, that's so funny yeah, they look over your shoulders, trust me, they love to shop oh my gosh, that's too funny they do, and the goat cheese or the cream cheese? What's that about?

Speaker 3

oh, well, um yeah, my husband's starting the farmer's market this weekend and we just had this long conversation about whether or not he should do a whip feta cheese offering at the yeah, but they're talking about like what the hell, why not?

Speaker 1

and then, oh, it's too much work, I don't know.

Speaker 3

Like what the hell yeah, well, a long conversation actually about. We were kind of laughing that it was so intense for what fed us the chives, or like the little onion tails or something it is, yeah, it's like um, it's an urban fused and yeah, yeah, with the little chive tails.

Speaker 1

That's what they're talking about. Oh my gosh, that's really. But that's okay, you know what? You don't get caught often, so that's all right. That's true. Yeah, that's good and by the way, they're talking about your razors being way too dull. Okay, okay, yeah. So they're talking about three razors instead of two. So I don't know if if you're irritated from the last time you shaved, but they're laughing at you. I don't know. I can't you know.

Speaker 3

Okay, that's good to know.

Speaker 1

Well, they make me feel so many happened honey. So maybe it's not something you want to talk about on air, but honestly there's something to do with shaved underarms. So, on air, but honestly there's something to do with shaved underarms, so be very careful, okay that I scratch my armpits like for the last, like four days non-stop.

Speaker 3

Maybe that's why, because I feel so irritated in my pits. So that's you. Oh my gosh, I'm like over. This is so overwhelming. Yeah, it is, yeah oh, that's too much. Yeah, I have like non-stop, like it's just been, it's really it's been really bad and I actually I didn't know what it was, so, yeah, that's I was thinking maybe someone's got a monkey or something.

Speaker 1

Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2

I was thinking maybe someone's got a monkey or something.

Speaker 3

Oh my gosh. Yeah, it has been pretty bad. That is definitely very fair.

Speaker 1

I love my freaking job. Oh my gosh, that's good. Oh my god, were you complaining about the leaves too, by the way?

Speaker 3

because you talk about that? The fuck I have. Actually my husband hasn't raked any and I was just complaining to my neighbor tonight about my husband not doing the front lawn it was 6.30.

Speaker 1

Oh, my gosh, 6.30,. Yeah, so quarter after six or 6.30?.

Speaker 3

We were out together, my neighbor and I, tonight, yep, and we were talking about the front lawn and how it needs to get done.

Speaker 1

You're showing me. So maybe in between those times, times, but I'm laughing about that because I always feel like it's about quarter, after six, or 6, 30. But I can hear you complaining about the leaves yeah, one thing to do about raking leaves, so they're laughing. Yeah, so they're around you quite a bit, and then the gas can on the left hand side or something like what the hell am I seeing now? So, um, I don't know who's got the messy garage on the left oh my gosh, that's my parents.

Speaker 3

They moved into our place and they have put everything everywhere and my husband is losing it losing his shit.

Speaker 1

Everything's on the left, jesus christ it is it actually is.

Speaker 3

If I could take a picture and show you it is. They have taken over the entire left-hand side of the garage like kayaks atv yeah, well, I'm seeing gas cans oh, yes, they do. They have the gas cans atv in their kayak. They have taken over the entire left side of our garage, like I could take a picture. Yeah, and we keep asking, like you know, um, have you gotten any closer on finding a place to live?

Speaker 1

Oh my God, I'm having so much fun. Everybody's going, holy shit.

Speaker 3

I know I could take a picture of that, one that is completely legit, like oh my gosh.

Speaker 1

Maybe you should this, this, this. I'm like makeup is pretty good, you know. Oh my god, that's funny. You, you made my whole day like that. That's hilarious, but you have really strong spirits around you oh good yeah, and your appointment on wednesday, by the way, next wednesday, I do have an appointment, yeah but they're talking about that, did you?

Speaker 1

did they change the time by 15 minutes, or are you just like early 15 minutes or late 15 minutes? Just watch showing 15 minutes, okay, okay, yeah, but they're talking about your appointment on wednesday, so good luck with that.

Speaker 3

By the way, thank you, I need that, so I appreciate it, you're gonna do well, okay, great be thankful.

Speaker 1

Yeah, that's the universe for what the hell you want, right? Yes, right, exactly. So I'm so glad that you guys are having fun here. See, oh my god, thank you for the happy giggles. Oh no, oh, someone said nice read. Oh my god, god, and you know what Spirits can be funny. They're around us all the time. What I do is I just see things inside my head and I have to say it, but usually everything happens within the last three, four days. For you, okay.

Speaker 1

I can't believe these things happen to me, I cannot believe that.

Speaker 3

About the armpits, though, like that is just so you have been scratching like a freaking little ape.

Speaker 1

The thing is that about the armpits, though, like that is just scratching like a freaking little ape. The thing like someone's like okay, so maybe it's irritated oh my gosh with a dull razor. So they're saying go with three blades, never mind the two, jesus, and so maybe you're not rinsing enough, but they make me feel you're irritated there. So I think dull or shitty razors and get something that contours.

Speaker 3

Yeah, yeah. I like that advice, tell them thank you?

Speaker 1

Well, of course You're welcome.

Speaker 3

Oh, that's awesome.

Speaker 1
