Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Mission Men podcast brought to you by Mission Media Group, the Mission Men podcast. The podcast literally about nothing and literally about everything, Literally about anything in between. I don't know if you guys can notice, but we're actually live on video. We're not live. We recorded this two weeks ago, most likely three weeks ago, four weeks ago or five, six, seven, eight, but we got some awesome video today. So thank you, John, for setting that up man, You're welcome sweet.
Speaker 2Branden.
Speaker 3Look at this, look at this. This is sweet little Branden. We're on poker, light above us and everything.
Speaker 2Yes, it's great Blackjack. I'll take a four. There you go. Is that what you do in Blackjack?
Speaker 1I don't gamble. I gamble my life away.
Speaker 2Oh, I forgot. I'm not freestyling, it's a different upcoming episode. Oh, stay tuned for that. I might be giving some vocals out.
Speaker 1So, ladies and gents, we just want to take a second and say thank you. Thank you so much. We just so appreciate hearing your guys's feedback, your comments. We just appreciate just the love that we hear from you guys and how you're listening to the podcast and how you're enjoying it. We just want to keep doing this. It's just. It's a lot of fun.
Speaker 3I mean, I don't know for sure, I'm having fun.
Speaker 2Yeah. So we about 20 minutes ago, I wasn't.
Speaker 1Okay. So, John, why aren't you having fun 20 minutes?
Speaker 2So I got asthma and I got it bad enough to where I actually had to take my inhaler Um, and so I think the reason why was that when I was a kid I was allergic to um dairy products. Okay, I'll try and speed this story up, brandon chill out.
Speaker 2All right. So I was allergic to dairy products. Real deal, good drink of milk. I would get asthma, me being the smart college Harvard dropout that I am. I went to the farmers market the other day and got like raw, fresh milk straight from a cow. Wait, wait, wait, wait. You're allergic to dairy. You don't have to sum it up, I know what I did but I've been drinking, but you got the whole milk you can find straight from the cow, straight from the cow, nothing in between.
Speaker 1Nothing could go wrong. That's not.
Speaker 2There's literally cow poop on the glass bottle.
Speaker 3Okay, we didn't even know that. Okay, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2Um, so, anyways, that's how dairy it is.
Speaker 1Yes, more than dairy anything.
Speaker 2So that I took this, I took the coffee and or, sorry, sorry, I took the milk and I put a ton of it into my coffee last two days for a latte it was fire. Then I also got the chocolate milk. So anyways, I've been overloading my system with really straight, healthy dairy straight from the cow. And then I come over here and I wonder why I got asthma, and I think that's why. So now I'm drinking terrible, uh concentrated coffee from hell, and it's supposedly supposedly it's supposed to help me and loosen up my chest and help me feel better coffee straight.
Speaker 1So is it is it helping?
Speaker 2Um, it doesn't taste like it is, but I mean you know, I gasoline fuels a car, but it doesn't taste good. What?
Speaker 1An analogy.
Speaker 3I'm not sure if it works.
Speaker 1Okay, so thank you, john, for taking over the intro.
Speaker 2You're welcome. You go ahead and do your spiel.
Speaker 1Okay, spiel, but no, so we just want to say thank you guys. So please keep coming with the emails, the comments and, yeah, suggestions as well, if you guys want to hear our take. For whatever reason, you would want that to happen on any specific subject.
Speaker 3Why would they ever want our take?
Speaker 1I don't even know why they're listening, or watching Paul. So, yeah, we just want you guys to be a part of it and we're just so thankful that we get to do this and we love being with you guys. So again, prayer requests, comments, suggestions, whatever we want to hear it. So we got a great episode today, so we're gonna dive in about the subject of manifesting which is a very hot topic, a buzzword, right it's a big hit Hit a spiritual sound effect.
Speaker 3Oh, I don't have one.
Speaker 2Like a wind chime or a necklace. Yeah, just give us. Yeah, press the button, Maybe I'll go. Oof, Okay, there we go. That works. That spiritually lifted me.
Speaker 1So we're gonna dive into that in just a second and kind of get John's take on that, because would you say that's more of like a Gen Z thing? Definitely Okay, because.
Speaker 2I don't think this word was ever really used up until the last three years maybe yeah. But it's definitely a TikTok thing. It's definitely something that young people and honestly mainly women, young like 20 year old women TikTok brain people.
Speaker 1So what you're saying is women are to blame, yeah they manifested some crap. Okay, oh, hey, no, no, we love women. Oh, we do, I will.
Speaker 3What? Okay anyways.
Speaker 2Rephrase Well, I mean, we're straight.
Speaker 3Well, we are, we are, we are, we are.
Speaker 2We all you know, thrive, so anyways Okay.
Speaker 1I'm gonna go and take over. Okay, I was gonna continue my definition of men Brandon take over, okay, so all right. So, but before we get to that, we had an interesting situation.
Speaker 3Great An interesting day today.
Speaker 2A very interesting day, yes. An uneventful event no, it was very eventful it was very eventful.
Speaker 1So we actually kind of need to check up on John here a little bit. So, johnny boy, let's see.
Speaker 3Well, okay, that's weird.
Speaker 2So we were in the process today of opening a bank account for our Business, sponsored business, and if you want to help bring some money into that account, that would be great. We love you.
Speaker 1Yes there you go, nice little plug. So we were doing that. And, john, please don't say the name of the brand.
Speaker 3Yeah, don't say the name of the brand. Don't say our account number.
Speaker 2Okay, no, three, four, no, do not say anything. Yeah, do not say anything. Two one, two, one Penguins.
Speaker 1And so we went in there. And so if anybody recently has opened a bank account or a business, account.
Speaker 3All three of us had to be there All three of us had to be there, correct.
Speaker 1So we show up there for our meeting. We're ready to go.
Speaker 3Set time 30 minute drive. It was a set time, 30 minute drive. Yeah, she just said.
Speaker 2Mileage Gas money yeah.
Speaker 1So we get there and everybody's on time, we're good to go, we're ready. And then John stopped rubbing my feet, that's really that's not good.
Speaker 2I couldn't resist. I looked down and did go ahead.
Speaker 1How okay, I'm going to sidetrack for a second. How do you get anything done in life in general?
Speaker 2I mean, how many times have you texted me to post? That's your answer. That's hilarious. No, no, I'm just kidding. I get some stuff done here and there but, continue your story.
Speaker 1All right. So so we get there. We're putting all our information. You know, everything's going smooth. She says hey, can't give us your IDs.
Speaker 2Give us your IDs, absolutely we hand it over, no problem, shout out super nice bank lady. I'll remain nameless. Yeah, she was great, she was super nice.
Speaker 1Put up with a lot. Oh, my goodness she she?
Speaker 3what did she say? The shenanigans today at the bank.
Speaker 1What did she say? She said like we're the most entertaining group.
Speaker 2But, she's had all day. She's had all day. Yeah, probably in a long time.
Speaker 1So so John slides his license over to the lady. She looks at it and John's. I want you to tell me what she found on your license.
Speaker 2So first of all, she found a really ugly picture. I looked like someone who got pulled over at 3am for narcotics, okay. But on top of that she looked at it and she went through and put in all the information, got it's all set up and ready. I was about to sign stuff and then she was like um, by the way, oh, uh, you're, you're, you're.
Speaker 1Don't, don't do it, don't do it, don't do it. I know I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2Uh, but she told me. She looked me in the eyes and told me the most painful statement ever. She said that your license uh has been expired for four months and so you've been in driving illegally for four months and didn't know it True, Paul. True.
Speaker 1Okay, so, and so let's back up and say what this means for four months. So, john, so obviously we created a mission media group. All three of us did together, and so, as of today, john has 0% of the company and the company.
Speaker 2Zero present.
Speaker 3I am basically a bystander and I mean but there was a reason why because we couldn't open the bank account with you. So we basically had to open the big account between Brandon and I.
Speaker 2It's kind of a lawsuit and we took we had to take a hundred percent and we have to go back to the bank and cut you back in.
Speaker 1Right. So, John, how do you feel about wasting my time?
Speaker 2Uh well, I offered to pay.
Speaker 1It didn't work. I'm sorry, okay.
Speaker 2Well, I wasted everybody's time. I showed up and my thing was expired, but the good news is is I'd rather be at the bank with you guys and behind the bars with Big Bad Benjamin trying to get bonded out.
Speaker 3But here's the thing. You know what I'm saying. You didn't know your thing.
Speaker 2Cause I could have gotten arrested, you didn't know, and then my license would have been expired. And then, all of a sudden, pastor Kid John is all over Wilson.
Speaker 1County. Oh wow, yes, yes and then you see my mugshot.
Speaker 2What do we do Then? There's no mission media, because then I'm expelled from the group because I committed a crime.
Speaker 3Right, right. Well, they couldn't open the bank account because you had to commit it a crime.
Speaker 2But the history is checkered as it is. I'm just kidding.
Speaker 3Let's not dive into that. So so you really didn't know that your bank, your license was expired?
Speaker 2No, I had no clue.
Speaker 3But you know, you did know, I did know, yeah.
Speaker 2Yeah, my, I had no clue is just an excuse to try and make myself feel better. But here, yeah. So my girlfriend Lexi definitely told me at least twice Before and you ignore her twice.
Speaker 1Well, apparently yes, paul.
Speaker 2That coffee's hitting, but yeah, I.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1All right, so I think the best yeah, go for no, I was sorry.
Speaker 2I didn't want to call her.
Speaker 3I think the best plan of action.
Speaker 1I gotta tell her first, yes, lexi needs Justice, because that woman did the right thing. She told you, she warned you, she warned me twice.
Speaker 2Yep.
Speaker 1So I think you need to pay the piper dude.
Speaker 2Let's pay the piper. What the heck does that mean I?
Speaker 1don't know, but once you just call her, let's call the piper, let's call the piper and let's see piper. I wonder what she's gonna sit I.
Speaker 3Can't wait to show. I have to show you the mugshot, too, that I took of myself show it on the screen During this part, so we're gonna see his mugshot.
Speaker 1Yeah, so you'll put it up there, so, john looks to FaceTime or call.
Speaker 2We'll do a call.
Speaker 1Yeah, just see, let's do a call. Oh, calling yeah. So yeah, for those listening, john's got the phone. He's putting up to the mic. There we go. We're gonna get Lexi on the phone here turn it up.
Speaker 2She's all the way up oh. Oh, call fail. Well, you know your service not my service, your service.
Speaker 3You're not connected. Go back.
Speaker 2I'm gonna do the Wi-Fi. Are you gonna use the Wi-Fi right now? Yeah, no, you're not. I am. No, you're not. You can't be. Can be a face. I'm audio and here we go.
Speaker 1Is that working yeah?
Speaker 2Hello, hi sweet, Can you hear me?
Speaker 3Don't ask. I can hear you, yes so can all the other people in the world. Yep Paul, the whole world can hear you actually.
Speaker 2All of mission men podcast you're on the podcast live. Do you want to say anything to your mom or Anyone important in your life? Toran Wells her mom doesn't listen.
Speaker 1No, okay, no, it doesn't listen either yet.
Speaker 3Well, I'll explain to her why you're calling. Okay yeah, so why are you?
Speaker 2calling you know how earlier I said I would probably call you on the podcast tonight. Yeah, so today when we went to the bank don't name the bank, because I told you what the bank is but when I went to the bank we went to set up the business account and when we got there, we're all. First of all, we drove like 30 minutes to get to the bank, had all our paperwork and stuff ready, we had our IDs with us and then I pulled out my ID and she started working on my account and stuff and got it all like set up. And I was about to sign things and and then she looked at my license. She was like, yeah, your license is expired. It's been expired since October 14th of last year. So do you remember the times that you told me to make sure that I go and renew my license? Yeah, I said that you should do it for your birthday party, but hey, he didn't.
Speaker 2He didn't listen to that, and and I didn't listen.
Speaker 1Oh, how many times did you tell them?
Speaker 2Probably about like four, four.
Speaker 3Oh, the story gets better.
Speaker 2Yes.
Speaker 1So you're turned down time with your girlfriend so that you could still have an expired license? Yeah, I could have been. Okay, see, wow, she's got your back. Oh, I know I make.
Speaker 2She's protecting you. Okay, I don't ever call like see babe, that's cringy, but I call her sweet. I think couples that call each other babe and baby is just like it just feels off why, I just don't like it gives me.
Speaker 1I literally heard Paul's wife just call him.
Speaker 2So you have to be over 50 to call you under 30 and you, especially if you're just dating, I think, if you call each other baby, it just feels too weird to me and I'd want to explain that why do you know what I'm?
Speaker 3saying Alexi, you explain it I.
Speaker 2Think that you should probably stop talking about it, because we have a lot of people that we know that say that.
Speaker 1I don't care. Have you met John?
Speaker 3All right, well, thank you. Thank you, lexi. Thank you, Lexi, love you.
Speaker 2Say goodbye to the podcast.
TikTok's Impact on Music Streams
Speaker 1You're so cute baby Bye babe, I hung up, all right, all right. So first of all, Lexi is so stinkin sweet, she is you found a good one, john.
Speaker 2She is an angel, that's so awesome, yeah, um okay, so did I really just say she's an angel Can we cut that out?
Speaker 1No, we're not gonna. That's, that's staying in for sure.
Speaker 2That's hypocritical of me, why people say baby, oh, she's an angel, yeah she's your sweet angel.
Speaker 1Okay, moving on, talk about me in the gym, okay, so, anyways, yeah, so we. John is not an owner or part of this company until as of this moment as of this moment, so we will get that.
Speaker 3Yes, I have been booted. You'll be back in the circle of trust circle of trust.
Speaker 1Dang well, I mean to be honest. How can we trust someone that has a?
Speaker 3you know, yeah, it's fire drivers, yeah exactly like I said.
Speaker 2I'm just glad I'm not in jail right now. You know, instead, I got asthma at Paul's house and I'm drinking the worst coffee of my life, having a good time with the boys. There you go.
Speaker 1I mean, does life get better?
Speaker 2I mean, I may not have a share of the business, but whatever what a better way to spend Friday night. My mug says misses on it and I had the option to choose mister. No wait, this says missus. Oh, I'm just. Today is not my day All right, all right.
Speaker 3Here we go so.
Speaker 1John, I keep it on track, all right, so I just pulled a Paul. So John has failed several times today, and that's fine.
Speaker 2It is what we all fall short of the glory of Christ.
Speaker 1And John doesn't war off. Thank you, thank you, good save Paul. There we go, all right. So I've seen a couple videos on you know kind of perusing Instagram and stuff. I don't I'm not on tick tock because I'm not insane me neither.
Speaker 2You're actually not on tick tock eating. No, I've not been on tick tock for maybe four or three years.
Speaker 1And I'm guessing you're definitely not on tick tock Paul actually have an account, do you really?
Speaker 2the most unexpected, me and Brandon.
Speaker 3I re-explain it. I have an account because from the artist side in the music. Oh, okay so I set one up, literally two, three weeks ago.
Speaker 2Well, business speaking, tick tock is like one of the best.
Speaker 3If you want to get your music heard, that's no 100% so when the record? Drops. I have the. Yeah, you got it Well it's.
Speaker 1I've heard so many stories of somebody that makes like a beat or a production or something and it gets you know, catches traction, goes viral, and then all of a sudden Atlantic Records is calling them. I mean it's, it's crazy.
Speaker 3Well, even on the shortest side of that. So you know, my daughter Nicole she's she's recorded some music. She recorded some music back when she was in college.
Speaker 2We shout out her name so they can listen. Nicole, right? Oh yeah, Good idea. Okay, so she recorded some music.
Speaker 3She recorded an EP and two singles back in 2018, 28 I think I was 2018. Mm-hmm. So, speaking of this Exact same thing, she had a song. She kind of forgot about it because on her, her Spotify, mm-hmm. When the record came out, she had, you know, seven, eight, nine, ten monthly listeners. Mm-hmm, maybe she had maybe a hundred streams of the whole thing. She wasn't thinking anything about it. Tiktok picked up the song if you didn't even have any idea. Yeah, they started using the sound.
Speaker 2Really yes.
Speaker 3Whoa, she went from in the last three months. This all happened in the last three or four months. She went from those 10 or whatever monthly listeners.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 3She has 34,000 monthly listeners right now what? The song and the song is have has over 100,000 streams now.
Speaker 2And four months On Spotify, on Spotify, no way. Yes, that's a glory of TikTok right there, though.
Speaker 3I mean that all started with TikTok, yeah, and then it picked up from there.
Speaker 2Whoa, if I can tag off of that.
Speaker 1No, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding, go ahead, you're good.
Speaker 2I don't have a percentage of the business.
Speaker 1No, yeah, I can't say you actually have zero percent of the business my opinion
Speaker 2doesn't mean that, but anyways, Lexi made 10 cents off of TikTok last week. Wow, let's go and she didn't put her music out, she just put.
Speaker 3I mean there's power in that platform.
Speaker 2Yeah, I mean really, she just like takes videos of herself every day and just makes content, and then eventually she'll make some money off of it. Same when Nicole, the more she posts and stuff like that, and she does it.
Speaker 3She posts stuff, but it wasn't even that. It was her sound from her song. I just need time. That trended, that trended yeah. And people were using it and then now she is in the country.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 3That is she's where all this is happening. Is Indonesia that? Is so 34,000 people are all in Indonesia. What? All listening to her music from Indonesia. That is wild. I can't think of 100,000 streams over 100,000 streams.
Speaker 2I'm trying to think of the type of food that would be over there Indonesian, yeah.
Speaker 3I would think.
Speaker 2It's kind of like made me the Polynesian sauce at Chick-fil-A it has an Asian Polynesian, it has an Asian in it.
Speaker 3No, that's not it.
Speaker 2Bussanese Ha ha, ha, ha, ha ha ha. Speaking of Bussanese really. Since the last podcast, I actually grew a mustache. So now that we have a video, you guys can see this mustache and rate it a one through 10.
Speaker 1So drop that in the comments down. John John Brandon Brandon, that was the worst segue. First of all, how is that even related?
Speaker 2What it wasn't I just no. I kind of stopped listening to the tic-tac thing at one point and started thinking about pointing out my mustache. Okay, so that's so narcissistic.
Speaker 1That's terrible. I was literally just gonna say that. I mean not the well, you said it better than me. But like how long were you sitting there thinking, okay, when can I bring up my mustache?
Speaker 2So people can notice, but whenever I finish talking about the 10 cents thing from Lexi, that's when the mustache thing came up in my brain, okay.
Speaker 1Well, this podcast so far has been awesome. If you're still listening, we appreciate you.
Speaker 2And thank you. That's always a blessing.
Speaker 3Thank you for staying with us. Yes, but there's some good content here. No, but now we're 20 minutes in folks.
Speaker 2Oh wait, really, I feel like I've been talking for three minutes.
Speaker 3No, we're 20 minutes in. Okay, okay, we gotta get moving here.
Manifestation and TikTok's Cultural Influence
Speaker 1John, stop, stop talking about your mustache. Okay, so manifesting, so TikTok, that's kind of how the whole thing came up. So, john, in your best description, how would you describe manifesting?
Speaker 2Like I said, it's something that's definitely come up in the last like three years, and it's only become relevant from predominantly 20s teenage females. I think. Some guys use it, but I would say those guys couldn't lift a 15 pound Dumbo, and so the phrase manifesting is basically the secular version of faith. Okay, where, like I'm gonna make a hundred. This is an example. I'm like a hundred K this year. I'm gonna manifest it in something like that, like I'm manifesting a hundred K this year, or why don't you just pray.
Speaker 2Well, some people don't go that route, and people's opinions and views and biblical stuff is all over the map these days. However, sometimes they'll say it in a way like this, or it'll be like it's giving manifestation. Have you ever heard people?
Speaker 1say it's giving. I have heard that phrase, so what does that mean?
Speaker 2Like what's the so the phrase it's giving, followed up by whatever it's giving word. I don't know who made that, but again, 20 teenage year old women, tiktok. So anyways, yeah, females and TikTok. Oh okay, apparently this is another good discussion. Side note apparently saying female is offensive to some women because when you say female it to some people it makes them feel like what Women and to my response to that is, I mean I would say male. It's just sometimes female flows off my language a little bit better, but I don't mean it in a degrading way and I'm just it's-.
Speaker 3Why does it matter?
Speaker 2That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1Yeah, well, thanks for bringing that up. Anyways, fair enough.
Speaker 2I did totally trade topics Manifestation, manifest back on track.
Speaker 1So you said you're glad, or what was the phrase that you said I'm giving manifestations?
Speaker 2No, it's giving manifestation, it's giving Okay. So what does that mean? So another example of how you would say it's giving is like that hoodie, it's giving bachelor.
Speaker 1Okay, well, that's true, you manifested correctly. Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2But so that's how someone would say that is it's or this coffee. It's giving gasoline. Okay, so it's giving the vibe of that's what. That's what it means Giving the vibe of yeah.
Speaker 1So what is the aspect of it? Cause you know, I've heard some people say, like it's them speaking it or it's like them believing it. Like, in your opinion, like, what does? What is it Like? Is it speaking what you believe is going and speaking it into existence? Speaking it into existence? Yeah, okay. So that's part of it, yeah, okay, and then believing for it.
Speaker 2Yeah, it's just without the Lord. Let's just speak it into existence. Let's just manifest it. That's just how it is for them.
Speaker 1Yeah, so pretty much my interpretation is like they're taking a biblical principle. Principle Right, and they're just twisting it pretty much.
Speaker 2Yeah, faith in their own. It's more of the worldly, the world view of, like I said, the secular, secular version of faith.
Speaker 1Yeah. So I guess, instead of putting faith in God, they're putting really faith in their selves. I guess too, because they're the ones who are they're manifesting, they're manifesting Right.
Speaker 2And I think there's some spiritual things not spiritual in a good way, like spiritual in a dark way- Okay, that follows some people who follow manifestation in a big way because I think manifestation, I could be completely wrong. This is where I need Isaac, my friend Isaac knows all this stuff like the back of his hand.
Speaker 3However, I think you want to call.
Speaker 2Isaac. If we did, he would be on the phone for 10 minutes probably.
Speaker 3Let's call him. But my phone, my phone's Sure, why not let's call him? I want to hear his take of manifestation let's do it.
Speaker 2My phone dies, it dies.
Speaker 1Yeah, Isaac is. What is he? 21, 22, 23?.
Speaker 2He's 23.
Speaker 1Okay, yeah, he'll be 24 in November 5th.
Speaker 2He was born in 2000.
Speaker 1Look at me. Wow, good friend, okay, call him Isaac. Yeah, so Isaac is a great guy. We all know him. Yeah, he's super smart and definitely let him know that he's on the pod.
Speaker 2Definitely need to do that. I think he might be at the gym or in the sauna right now, though.
Speaker 1And if he's in a sauna.
Speaker 2He's probably witnessing to somebody who causes more than you've ever heard in your life.
Speaker 3Show you. This is so, is really live. We're calling people.
Speaker 1Yeah Like cold turkey.
Speaker 3We're actually doing this, but he's not answering.
Speaker 2This is this. One is not scripted. I didn't tell him earlier. I'd call him.
Speaker 1Yeah, we did tell Lexi this might keep spelling. Yeah, turn it off before it.
Speaker 2Does the number Turn off, turn off, turn off, leak his number. Everybody starts spamming him.
Speaker 3Everybody call 615. Yeah, right, right.
Speaker 1Right, okay, so really, like I said, I think it's just interesting how I'm going to get the Google definition, yeah, how the world is taking, because we know that the Bible says that there's power of life and death in the tongue, right?
Speaker 3Yes, so we know that there's power in the words, that we say Be careful what you speak, because there's power in the tongue Exactly.
Speaker 1And I think one thing that John's dad says a lot that I really love is that our words are used to should not be used to describe life, but to design our life right. So there is power in things that we say Right, yeah. So it's just interesting how the world it's just. I mean, that's what the Bible says.
Speaker 3Would you say it's more of a Gen Z thing like a younger thing.
Speaker 1Yes, for sure yeah, Because have you.
Speaker 3It's also Paul I really I mean in terms of Biblically, faith in the church.
Speaker 2I've heard about it.
Speaker 3Of course, yes, of course, but no, not in the fact that you're going to manifest something because, poof, there it is. Right Not without the Lord. I mean I do yeah.
Speaker 1Yeah Well, and also it seems very self-driven, selfish, I would say.
Speaker 3Oh, it's just the me, me, me, I think.
Speaker 1Yeah, right, right, and obviously, and again, god wants us to be blessed, right, he wants us to have things, and obviously the word says if it's according to His will, we ask and he gives it to us right. So you know. So it's okay to want things or to pray or believe for things.
Speaker 3And He'll give us the desires of our heart. I mean, that's the cool part.
Speaker 1Right, right, yeah, exactly so. We delight ourselves in Him. So I think it's important, you know, it's just really interesting to me, wow.
Speaker 3Get it out, get it out.
Speaker 1We're good. Oh, there you go, we are. You're giving.
Speaker 3You sure?
Speaker 2Throat laszancher it's giving. I need to give you a throat laszancher.
Speaker 1Yeah, I just threw up in my mouth. Look, that was the devil interrupting that flow.
Speaker 3Get back into that flow, get back into that flow. Yeah, yeah Tell him who's boss?
Speaker 2And let's hear that message you got Come on.
Speaker 1No, that was it. Preach, preach. No, that was it. No, you were in the middle of it, he was giving us sermon. No, that was it, man. That's all I had.
Speaker 3That's all you had. I don't remember what I was saying. Well, I got the Urban Dictionary. What does the Urban Dictionary say? So Curious?
Speaker 2A practice in which you're expected to think about what you want A? Practice, make it crystal clear for yourself and have the guts to repeatedly ask for it Whenever format you see fit. It's complete, it's completely ethical. Oh, if it's completely, completely ethical or in your best interest to get it, you'll most likely receive it. Really, urban dictionary, wow.
Speaker 1Where's Jesus and all of that wait, hold on hold on my question. Well, yeah, my question is who are you? Asking Like what, what?
Speaker 2the light, that says the energy within you. Oh, okay, well, that makes sense, no okay, yeah, no, I can, I can track with that. Yeah, absolutely I understand why people will become an atheist, for that stuff makes sense. Oh yeah, totally get it. There's sound logic behind it.
Speaker 1Yeah, so I think it's yeah, so I think we, as Christians, I think it's Honestly, I think it's a great opportunity for us to witness to people, because it's like, it's like listen. What you're doing has already been done.
Speaker 3Right, let's show you how to do it the right way.
Speaker 2Yeah, there's there's a real danger to that too, because if you get into that too heavily and you start to Try and pull from a spiritual source, oh sure. Spiritual doesn't point to the Holy Spirit right. Then you start tapping into stuff and you try to get spiritual, but you you enter that dark side of spiritual you get more than what you asked for you get more like.
Speaker 2so I guess I won't say his name, I guess, but a famous podcaster Was talking about something kind of like this and they were going back and forth about God and if he's really real, mm-hmm, and he was like well if he's really real, let me encounter him this week, like let me let me experience him this week. Mm-hmm, bring some signs. And the dude who was talking to him about God and how it really was, he was like Careful what you asked for, because you've been living in sin.
Speaker 2And if the way that you're asking for God to reveal himself it may not look like what you want it to look like. Because at some point in people's lives when they're so deep in sin and they're so deep in rejecting Jesus?
Speaker 1yeah.
Speaker 2That can then look like. Well, I've tried to show you these many, many signs before you got close to the cliff. Mm-hmm but now you're really close to the cliff and it's not gonna take the good, happy signs to show you to walk away from the cliff, mm-hmm. It's not gonna show you the good signs that Jesus is real. It's not gonna show you the love.
Speaker 1It's gonna show you the fear of God, because the fear of God is real well, and I think that's interesting because you know that person probably up until that point has had Chance after Love of the Lord from right lots of people.
Speaker 2You know he's definitely had people give him a hug, what you know. All these different things, right? So now that he's so close to the cliff. What happened was in that week? Don't fact check me, but a lot of bad stuff happened that week. One thing that happened was he got into a wreck. His bank account got hacked. He lost three friends. He lost like a hundred grand. Someone stole something from him. He had the worst week. He got sick and everything.
Speaker 2Wow and so for the people out there who might think that the Lord brought bad stuff upon him, that's not what happened. What happened, though, is he was so close to the edge of the cliff and didn't want to acknowledge that he was right there. Mm-hmm that when he said show me, jesus is real. Well, he just what. All he asked for is that to reveal that how bad his life already was, right there on the cliff.
Speaker 1Well, and how much he needs Jesus.
Speaker 2Right, he needs Jesus exactly because at a certain point, like I said, those good things that come into your life and temp. He's already got money, he's got cars, he's got a you know fame, whatever that's a good point. So the good stuff isn't gonna draw him to Jesus. What's gonna draw him to Jesus? Oh my gosh, I need Jesus, otherwise I'm gonna die.
Speaker 1Yeah, right, right, that's what he found out, that well and people that are that successful Sorry that, people you know that have that level of wealth and all that kind of stuff. They don't need more good things, right, they need to be shown. Oh my goodness, I'm a person, because I think what you get when?
Speaker 2exactly that point.
Speaker 1It's like I'm above humans. It's like, yeah, nothing affects me, I've got money, I've got whatever you can control Whatever you want when you got all that money and stuff.
Speaker 3So you think you can worry about, you think you're correct, right, right, paul speaks from a place of.
Speaker 1Yeah, we actually tried to get Paul's bank account information today, just to you know, see how much he's rolling just to support the. That's awesome, but no, I think it was a really great discussion. I think everybody listen. We'd love to know your thoughts, your comments about that, if you've experienced anybody that does that, or If you do it yourself. You know we pray that you find a much better solution. Yeah doing that because it what you're doing has already been invented, it's already been done, it's been perfected, it's just.
Speaker 2You know, you're just trying to take somebody else's take on it rather than right your creators take yeah, and if on it, like to be real, like if you're dealing with that thought process or a family or friend member is dealing with that thought process, I mean, hit us up, send us a, send us an email or comment or something, and We'd be more than glad to pray over that.
Speaker 3And if we can't tell you to stop, but we can also.
Speaker 2You know we want to help redirect people who could be. Lost in that because, like I said, if you get too lost in that rabbit trail, yeah you might find yourself in something that's Slightly irreversible or that you put yourself in.
Speaker 1I could see Paul getting an email and like, hey, I'm in this manifesting thing, all these weird things, how do I get out of it? His response just stop, just stop, that's it, yeah, stop.
Speaker 3It's go right for the practical, yeah, right for the product, that's literally. The word literally would be before absolutely literally just stop twice literally just stop people tell me, I say that word a lot literally you literally do.
Speaker 2Do I literally? Say that literally, essentially he does. And then he says essentially. Do I have any iconic words or phrases?
Speaker 1or am I just special? And on the spectrum, you just say a lot of them, you say a lot of different, you say a lot of words.
Discussion Wrap-Up
Speaker 2Yes, I don't have a filter that gives me enough common words. No, I probably start saying the same that I've noticed.
Speaker 1But well, I think it was a really good discussion, guys.
Speaker 2I enjoyed that and I think yeah, yeah, I'm a rapper up actually all out of coffee now, so you're gonna wrap her up, john.
Speaker 3Oh, yeah, right.
Speaker 2Oh man, I don't. Just make something up okay, thank you for joining me. Make something up, go for it. So, guys, you know, don't eat the pistachio ice cream it has turned. Speaker 3No, I'm 62 out of all of us in the first place, oh. Oh what no one's, 62. Oh.
Speaker 2My dad's 62. I'm sorry.
Speaker 3Okay, you need a redo on that one. Here we do. I failed Not only do I have zero percent of this company.
