someone took over the podcast and it's not brandon doing the intro, is it? It's me, and we have a bunch of guests today here on our show and, um, normally brandon has some sort of spiel that he gives at the beginning, but no one cares about it anyways. No what we're here for is Lily and Nicole the guests of our show today.
Speaker 4Everybody give her a round of applause. I got something here. Hold on. Wow A little laugh and applause, there we go, oh my goodness, this is so special.
Speaker 2Now, okay, y'all are going to have to bear with me, because I'm not normally the host. I'm used to sitting back, relaxing, being my normal self and just interjecting at random times. So I guess I'll have to just interrupt myself like that. But anyways, what I'm going to do today is just introduce the people here on the show. We have Nicole. This is Paul's daughter. Everyone say hello to Nicole. Hello.
Speaker 1Hello.
Speaker 2Hi guys. Oh, and there's Lily. She already introduced herself. What's up? Lily, how you doing, I'm doing good. Good, all right, lily, tell me one thing about yourself that no one knows.
Speaker 5I love riding my bike.
Speaker 2Nice, there you go, and do you have a bike with one wheel or two?
Speaker 5Two.
Speaker 2Awesome.
Speaker 3Nicole, one thing about you that no one knows you're a unicyclist?
Speaker 2yeah, I don't think she's a. You're vegetarian, aren't you no?
Speaker 1what I was for a little bit in college see, I knew that so that's, something some people
Speaker 2might not know.
Speaker 1Thank you, you helped me out.
Speaker 2You're welcome I wouldn't think of anything that was my random in the dark, Paul tell us one thing that you've never told anyone. No, I'm just kidding, you don't have to.
Speaker 4No.
Speaker 2We're not here for that.
Speaker 4It's not going to happen.
Speaker 2So, guys, this is our Father's Day episode. Brandon has so kindly let me swap seats with him. He has brought Lily, nicole brought herself. Thank you, she can drive and Lily can ride her bike. Lily, is there anything that you specifically want to say to the audience before we get started? I mean any kind words, anything.
Speaker 1You can look at that camera.
Speaker 5You can look at the camera, you can tell me anything you want. I want to say thank you for bringing me here. There we go, there we go. Yes, very nice, wow. So, oh my goodness so sweet.
Speaker 2I changed the lights pink just for her. I'm so nice. You are nice. Of course he is, thank you, thank you. A couple of things I want to share. First is the preliminary things. Thank you guys for supporting us, thank you guys for following us and watching us. We know you don't really watch us. You're just nice when you see us in person and you say that you watch it.
Speaker 3That's true.
Speaker 5No, I'm just kidding, but thank you for liking and commenting.
Speaker 2Please comment and subscribe and all that stuff and even donate.
Speaker 5My.
Speaker 2Venmo is john__fries1 and you can.
Speaker 3That's been a reoccurring thing, Where's the invoice?
Speaker 2Anyways, today I have come together with a grandmaster scheme, grandmaster plan of this Father's Day episode, and it is going to be one heck of a ride.
Speaker 4I'm a little scared. I was about to say should we be nervous? Yeah, and.
Speaker 2I'm not even halfway done with my coffee yet, and I am.
Speaker 3Oh no.
Speaker 2Just wait till this thing's empty.
Speaker 3Lily what?
Speaker 5do you?
Speaker 3think about that.
Speaker 5I think he's going to get crazy. Why not?
Speaker 3She knows you well.
Speaker 5Yes, there you go.
Speaker 3Have you been watching the podcast? Okay, great, no, oh okay, yeah, nobody does.
Speaker 2Do you not care about the podcast? I do. Okay, then why don't you watch it?
Speaker 5Because I never ever heard of it.
Speaker 2You've never heard of the Mission. Media Podcast.
Speaker 3It's Mission man. I don't even know the name. I don't either.
Speaker 2So what podcast do you like to watch? Impulsive?
Speaker 5I like to watch Greeking.
Speaker 2Out Greeking Out. Explain the show in five words.
Speaker 5It has gods. Greek mythology, greek mythology, greek mythology. There you go.
Speaker 2It's a history podcast kind of thing. There you go. What's your favorite thing about Brandon here? Your dad.
Speaker 5That he cares about me.
Speaker 3High five girl. There you go. I care about you and I love you. You're sweet.
Speaker 2The first thing we're going to do. This is very easy. I just thought we should get into this podcast and be very chill, very transparent and very you know we'll keep it lighthearted at the beginning here, so I want to have Nicole make up a song about Paul on the spot.
Speaker 3Oh gosh. Yeah, please, do we have some music, and if you can't do that, me Please.
Speaker 2Do we have some music? And if you can't do that, me and Lily can make a song up on the spot together for Brandon and Paul. Okay, all right. Do you want?
Speaker 1to sing. I'm no, john, but I'll give it a go.
Speaker 2Okay, I was thinking we could maybe go like line for line, so you could sing a part of the song and then I'll sing and then Lily can sing.
Speaker 1Love it. Okay Cool, it's all going to be on the spot. How about my dad, though?
Speaker 4Yes, oh my gosh, I'm scared still.
Speaker 1All right, we have tunes.
Speaker 4We don't have any tunes no this is straight acapella.
Speaker 2Let me see what do we got?
Speaker 3here. Perfect, let's ride with that.
Speaker 2Yes, I can flow, lily why don't you start us off and talk about Brandon?
Speaker 4Sing a song.
Speaker 2Sing about your dad. Here it is.
Speaker 5Dad is my favorite. We got to go to the pool and I love it. We have a playground and it is awesome. I can do the market bars.
Speaker 2Okay, you're supposed to talk more about me than the playground. Lily, you made me cry a little. That was really sweet.
Speaker 3That was good. Good job, there we go.
Speaker 1All right, nicole, go for it.
Speaker 2Yeah, lay a couple bars. Oh gosh, you got it.
Speaker 1I'm going to steal your melody, if that's cool.
Speaker 2Okay, yeah, that's cool, Go for it yeah.
Speaker 1Dad, dad, you rock, you rock. You're so cool, so cool and so fashionable. Fashionable, that was my line.
Speaker 3Okay, he's got the fits the fits.
Speaker 2Got the fits the fits. I love the way that you smell like Danny's cologne called Office Adidas on your shirt and it makes me love you more.
Speaker 3All day I dream about Paul.
Speaker 2And I don't even snore. My alarm clock goes off, Okay okay, sorry. I can't take it.
Speaker 3I can't take it. I gotta kill the music. That was good. You guys did great.
Speaker 2Can we get a little applause sound effects for?
Speaker 3that, yeah, that was good, wow, that was good.
Speaker 2That was incredible. Great job ladies, you will actually see that record be performed at the GMA Devil Wars this year.
Speaker 3Oh nope, you won't. No, it won't happen.
Speaker 5Okay.
Speaker 2I mean, it was a shot in the dark.
Speaker 4Yeah, very dark.
Speaker 2Nonetheless, it was a shot. Yes, okay, but for real. The easiest part of this part is I just want to ask you guys and I already asked you this your favorite thing that you like about your dad? And you said he cares. That was so sweet. But now I want to ask, nicole, what was your favorite thing about your dad?
Speaker 1Oh, Just keep it very nice and simple at the beginning. I think my favorite thing is just your well, lots of things. But the thing that comes off the top of my head is your insane musical giftings and how that's been kind of passed along to me. I'm nowhere near your level.
Speaker 4Oh, you are no Songwriting. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1Okay, the melody, the songwriting.
Speaker 4I have to you know, there we go. That's definitely it, I love you.
Speaker 1Aw, I love you Aw thank you, I love you too, aw sweet.
Speaker 2Okay, this is emotional really quick. Why are we so?
Speaker 3sappy John, quick, say something. Dogs flying under a robot they can't even handle my name. There we go. There it is Mood change real quick.
Speaker 4And we're back we are back.
Roasting and Random Battles
Speaker 2We're back. So the next segment. I stayed up last night until about 2. Am trying to figure out what I would do for this. No, you didn't.
Speaker 1I did, you did, there wasn't a lot that was coming to my mind.
Speaker 2I kept getting distracted and I kept watching YouTube videos. I mean, what's?
Speaker 5new. Oh, that's not what I thought.
Speaker 3Well, what did you think?
Speaker 5I thought this was going to be amazing Wow.
Speaker 1Just like her dad.
Speaker 4Just roasting me to pieces already. Okay, wow, I thought we were friends. I have to give you two of those for that one, that was great, that was great, that was great.
Speaker 3That was amazing, oh my goodness.
Speaker 4Okay, John, you got to step it up. This is just not cool. That's all there is to it. You got to step it up.
Speaker 2I'm not used to this. This is not good.
Speaker 4She's seven and she's telling you that, john, she thought this was going to be amazing. She knows. Okay, she can tell.
Speaker 2I don't need to say it right now.
Speaker 3Hey, you know, in all seriousness, I was actually going to say you're doing a really good job. You are doing a really good job. You're actually doing I'm trying to keep it together Somewhat of a schedule here.
Speaker 2you know what?
Speaker 4I'm saying Gotcha, gotcha, you're doing a good job.
Speaker 2It's hard to do this show right now she's stealing the show.
Speaker 3I know she's doing great. I mean, what can you?
Speaker 2do what can't? You can't, you can't, you can't, you can't you can't. You can't, you can't, you can't, you can't.
Speaker 5Ow no, conflendo no.
Speaker 1Oh, this has to be my favorite episode so far to date.
Speaker 4This is it.
Speaker 2Lily, let's get to the bottom of things here.
Speaker 4Okay, it looks like this episode is between the two of you.
Speaker 2Let's get to the bottom of things here, okay, Lily. Have you ever had a random off battle.
Speaker 3Do you know what that is? I don't think she knows what that is, so why don't you explain to her?
Speaker 2Basically, what a random battle is is where I say something really random and you have to say something really random after I say something really random, and whoever cannot say that random thing loses.
Speaker 5Okay, I have. If I lose, I lose, and be a good sport. Oh, sure, be a good sport, well done.
Speaker 2That is something I'm proud of. Well trained and well taught.
Speaker 3As a dad, I can be more proud.
Speaker 4I was about to say you have to be like je. As a dad, I can be more proud. I was about to say you have to be like. I was about to say that.
Speaker 3You're doing great. There you go Killing it. Are you ready?
Speaker 2Lily Turkish delight underneath a lampskin, shaving of Thanksgiving dinner.
Speaker 5Well, you flowed your face in whipped cream at the pie festival.
Speaker 1Burn, burn. You're done, john.
Speaker 2Throwing boomerangs in Australia next to a plywood piece of lumberjack. Steal my pepper jack back before Mackle Jackson comes back.
Speaker 5I threw a pizza and pie and we started a food fight in your face.
Speaker 2Igloos in China. Save money from kangaroos.
Speaker 5Kangaroos walk and they eat rocks and they're so fat now.
Speaker 2If I have one more tangerine thrown up my nostril I'm going to wreck this place to utter rhesus.
Speaker 5The hospital is now recommended to a to a to a dad. They made it to a hundred dads. A hundred, okay.
Speaker 4I think she won.
Speaker 3I think she won Whoa. That was impressive. You may have won for now.
Speaker 2That was pretty good.
Speaker 4For now. I think she won period.
Speaker 2No, I kept the heat under. It's fine.
Speaker 3No, john's like no, I wasn't trying for real.
Speaker 2Seriously, I would have won. No, I had to think about that. Normally I don't even have to think about that. Because, she got you on a couple of those did better than I thought you were going to do.
Speaker 5Thank you.
Speaker 2What do you eat for breakfast every morning? Tell me.
Speaker 5I almost eat bagels, and usually bagels.
Speaker 2This is at my mom's Bagels and you don't eat anything when Brandon feeds you. No I feed you breakfast.
Speaker 3What do I feed you for breakfast?
Speaker 5Dog kibbles Usually waffles with syrup or cereal. There you go.
Speaker 4So there you go.
Speaker 5I'll take that and at my mom's I have like bagels and bananas.
Speaker 3There you go Sun butter. Sunflower butter. There you go, that's it.
Speaker 2Have you ever seen your dad eat like 20 eggs in one sitting?
Speaker 5No, oh, do you like?
Speaker 2eggs. Does it run in the family?
Speaker 5All the other people, but I do not like eggs.
Speaker 2Basically to the listeners out there. We've discussed, I think maybe once or sometime, that Brandon eats a ton of eggs. And by a ton. It's like how many?
Speaker 3About six or seven in a day.
Speaker 2usually Lily are you a chicken chicken? Is that how he's getting all these eggs?
Dad Sales Pitch Competition
Speaker 5no, all right, moving on I don't want to answer that one uh, what do you do professionally for work, lily, what's your career? Um well, when I grow up, I'm gonna be a vet because I love dogs.
Speaker 2I hate dogs.
Speaker 5How dare you how?
Speaker 2dare I.
Speaker 5Okay, then I'll throw all the cats and make them scratch you, there you go.
Speaker 4How dare you, there you go.
Speaker 5How dare you again?
Speaker 2Awesome, Nicole. What do you do professionally? What do you do for work?
Speaker 1I'm an EE special needs teacher. I'm actually a para, but I say teacher because no one knows what a para is.
Speaker 4Um, that's probably one of the toughest jobs ever heard of in my life when she tells me about her work. It's like amazingly difficult. I don't even know how she does it, but it's it has its, it has its moments, I'm sure.
Speaker 2Yeah, I mean, you've been to. Well, you're not going to Jamaica we were just talking about this earlier but Jamaica and West Haven and stuff like that, I mean that's, do you remember?
Speaker 4when we went there. Oh, I remember West Haven special needs kids. Yeah, those are the kind of kids she has one-on-ones with every single day. I single day I mean that's, she's got to take care of.
Speaker 1I mean, go ahead. No, it's um. It's a blessing though. Yeah, like it's very, very challenging, but it's, it's totally worth it. Um, and then I'm a volleyball coach at the middle school I work at, and I am a songwriting teacher can we give her a clap and one of applause?
Speaker 5sure?
Speaker 4there you go. Yeah, she wants to give me an applause.
Speaker 3Hey, I appreciate that my seven-year-old's doing a better job of running this podcast right now Chill. Chill.
Speaker 4Lily is really the host.
Speaker 5Oh, I'll be your host then. Okay, all right, you want to steal my job?
Speaker 3Yeah, so go ahead. What do you want to talk about next?
Speaker 5Fine, Okay, I'm going to start off with questions. So, nicole, yes, gonna start off with questions. So, nicole, yes, do you like eggs and bacon in the morning?
Speaker 1so here's the funny thing, lily I've never really been an egg girl until like literally three days ago, because I saw how gordon ramsay makes his eggs. Do you know who gordon ramsay is? No, he's like a famous chef okay and his recipe for eggs is everything and now really true. Three days ago yeah so today I had like eggs on toast and I like bacon too.
Speaker 2So yes, I would have that you're saying.
Speaker 1Gordon ramsay taught you to just make eggs on toast no, he taught me like the best way to make eggs. Okay, the recipe is amazing is it special secret?
Speaker 2is there some sort of secret you?
Speaker 1add like creme fraiche or like heavy whipping cream towards the end, and it's chef's kiss, chef's kiss.
Speaker 2Yeah, gordon Ramsay kiss.
Speaker 1Paul oh.
Speaker 4Dang.
Speaker 2Okay, whatever, I tried to regain control.
Speaker 5I just lost it. Do you still ride a bike?
Speaker 4Do I still ride a bike? Absolutely, it's been many, many, many years ago, the last time I rode a bike. True story. Yes, we were driving through the park that you know, behind the coals and stuff. Yeah, yeah, and I watched a little boy ride off.
Speaker 1No, it was a girl.
Speaker 4A girl ride off the bank into the river. Oh no, and I jumped off my bike real quick and kind of reached over and grabbed her from the banks and pulled her up.
Speaker 1Oh, my goodness it was the fastest I've ever seen you move in my whole life there you go, but it was incredible.
Speaker 4Yeah, yeah, she was, and her father was just looking. I go. What are you doing, dude? Come on.
Speaker 1So not dad.
Speaker 4So that was the last time I rode a bike.
Speaker 3Lily, so Paul was the real dad in that story. Speaking of Father's Day, that was, yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 4I think the dad was really just stunned. He didn't know what to do.
Speaker 2I mean, my dad told me to not get close to the river, but I just didn't listen, okay.
Speaker 3That makes sense, all right, do you want to ask Sean a question now?
Speaker 5Put me in the hot seat. Sure Sean. Oh boy, how long have you been drinking coffee?
Speaker 4Oh, good question.
Speaker 2That is a good question, you know. I have control over it. I can stop whenever I want. I mean, it's really not like I need it every day. What are you looking at?
Speaker 5I'm just looking at Dad, my Dad, oh okay, okay.
Speaker 2at I just looking at dad, my dad, oh, okay, okay. Um, it's a very sensitive story about coffee and I don't want to answer that, okay.
Speaker 3Okay, makes sense. All right, then one more question.
Speaker 2So the answer to that question is this is um.
Speaker 5I uh been drinking it for a while, okay dad, how much eggs do you think you have eaten?
Speaker 3oh, that's a really good question. Uh, this point uh definitely in the hundreds, if not thousands. So there you go wow, that's pretty crazy thank you.
Speaker 2Hey, that was a great job, willy. We're gonna let john take back over now. There we go. That was the most entertaining part of the show, so good job.
Speaker 3Yes, that was really good work that that was a great job, Lily. We're going to let John take back over now. There we go. That was the most entertaining part of the show. So good job. Yes, so far, that was really good work. That was special Thanks, lily, you're welcome.
Speaker 2Give me my job back. I want to make money here. Okay, cool, Thank you. I received that Venmo. John underscore freeze.
Speaker 4Anyways, hard act. My next segment here. This could either be a fail, okay or it could be a win.
Speaker 2You've already said fail, so we're going with fail and we're just gonna see how this goes, okay. So I thought long and hard about this idea and, uh, me and my creative genius self said, yeah, this should, this should work. Um, and here's the idea. Okay, this is going to be an ad improv idea, okay.
Speaker 3An ad improv.
Speaker 2So here's what this looks like. Okay, I'm going to have Brandon and Paul shortly step out of the room.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 2Until me, and Nicole and Lily have come up with a surprise ad on how they would sell their fathers and why they should buy their fathers.
Speaker 3Oh, that's interesting, Do we?
Speaker 2really have to step out of the room. You can't hear it until you come back in and we're going to deliver our ad on why you should buy Paul and why you should buy.
Speaker 1Brandon.
Speaker 2We're selling fathers today and we're going to come up with the ad for it, okay.
Speaker 5You can go pet the dogs.
Speaker 2Yeah, you can go pet the dogs.
Speaker 3Yeah, we'll go pet the dogs there, we go Pet the dogs.
Speaker 2We're saying bye to Brandon and Paul for now. Bye-bye, suckers. All right, everybody. We're good to come back in, brandon and Paul, are you sure this time? I'm sure what we said earlier was something we were just talking about.
Speaker 5Don't worry about it, this is for real, this is for real.
Speaker 3Let's have Nicole go first. Yeah, because we want to save the best. And then we'll have.
Speaker 5Lily go next oh boy.
Speaker 2Let me just set the setting for everyone here. Every year there is a by a Father convention that happens in New Zealand uh Texas. And so at this convention. We have hundreds of thousands of dads for sale and a lot of people really want to get the best dad. Sure Uh, and it's hard to to know which one is the best, but the key is is the daughter or the son of being a great advertiser?
Speaker 5Uh, and so the way that's done is well daughter or the son being a great advertiser, and so the way that's done is well we're about to show you.
Speaker 2Lily has an advertisement prepared for Brandon.
Speaker 5Okay, and.
Speaker 2Nicole has an advertisement prepared for Paul. All right, nice. And at the end of this we're just going to let the viewers which dad would you buy?
Speaker 3Okay.
Speaker 2Love it Nice.
Speaker 3Awesome.
Speaker 2Okay, okay, and I'm going to count you down. Are you ready for this?
Speaker 1Wait, you want Lily to go first? Oh, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2I'm such a bad host.
Speaker 1Nicole are you?
Speaker 2ready for this I think so when I play this music, this ad music.
Speaker 4Oh, you have ad music I do. It's a very familiar tune. Okay, just going to.
Speaker 1Are you in the market for a dad. Are you looking for a dad that loves music and loves sports and, most importantly, loves Jesus? Then come on down to Paul Land and get yourself a Paul the best one out there and he'll fix things for you. So come on down.
Speaker 2Oh my gosh that was great and he knows everyone, he's Batman.
Speaker 3Thank you, I would buy Paul.
Speaker 4That sounds bad. That's really scary.
Speaker 3But I would buy him as a dad.
Speaker 2Me too. I'd buy as a father, not you, brandon.
Speaker 3No, true, we haven't heard my pitch yet, so I'm excited.
Speaker 2Here we go. I can't wait for this one. Can we get an applause first?
Speaker 3Oh no, that wrong one. Oh yeah.
Speaker 4It's not that bad, you're fired.
Speaker 2You're not fired.
Speaker 1You're hired, Anyways.
Speaker 4Lily are you ready? Yes, in three two. You're not fired.
Speaker 2You're hired, anyways. Okay, lily, are you ready? Yes, in three, two.
Speaker 5You want your dream Dad? Well, come down to the floor and come and get. Come here to Brandon Land, and if you like eggs and know how to say in church, then come on down and get yourself a free dad, woo Woo, yes, a free dad, a free dad A free dad.
Speaker 3You cost nothing.
Speaker 4I have no value. No value, zero value. You're not great. I'll take him Double coupons.
Speaker 3Buy one get one free. Great job, Wow that was awesome, man, that was great, that was great, thank you. Great job, ladies, thank you.
Speaker 2Now let's all talk about that. I mean, that was a pretty good section, I did.
Speaker 3That was good. That was a fun idea. John, Are you pretty proud of that?
Speaker 2Yeah, he needs your approval.
Speaker 1Yes, I'm proud.
Speaker 2Is that sincere Dad?
Speaker 4You did a great job. That was a great segment, thank you.
Speaker 3That was a great segment. You're really funny, son. Let's see how you follow it up.
Speaker 2Well, the next thing is probably going to be just as good.
Speaker 5John Wait John. Oh Is this what it feels like to get interrupted.
Speaker 2You have to do one Hold on.
Speaker 3This is a dose of your own medicine, sir.
Speaker 5I just want to let you know, you have to do your ad of free dad.
Speaker 2Oh, this is Carmex.
Speaker 5You have to do your thing of free dad.
Speaker 1She wants you to do your ad. Oh, I need to do an ad for both of my fathers here, if you will you have to do a dad ad For your dad, for my dad?
Speaker 4Okay, okay For.
Speaker 2Pastor.
Speaker 3Jim, your dad. All right, do an ad, lily, here we go. While you're getting that ready, lily, you can interrupt John as much as you want Chill, much as you want Chill, thank you.
Speaker 4All right let's do your ad for your dad man, I here we go, are we?
Speaker 2ready? Yes, hey, are you interested in a dad who looks like Ted?
Speaker 3Danson, danson Thank you.
Speaker 2Well, come on down to the front line, where you'll find a rip-shredded, almost black man who looks like Pastor Tim, and he is also sometimes commonly known as Pastor Tim. He is awesome, funny and he's always got sub points and he smiles all the time, even if he's losing in basketball against me or beating me. When I was five, get a dad, my dad. That was great.
Father-Daughter Trivia Game Show
Speaker 3Wait, okay, that was really good. So wait, hold on One question. I got one question when you were getting, you know, reprimanded and scolded last week. Do you get sub points in your talks and life points and dad nuggets.
Speaker 2There was a time that I got grounded and he gave me nuggets and points as to what I could do to change that.
Speaker 4So yeah, but not all the time. Oh, that's interesting. Okay, life points, yeah, yeah, all the time.
Speaker 2Light points yeah that happened actually the worst time I was ever grounded was eight months in a row.
Speaker 5Are you serious? Eight months, what did you do? Can you say what you did?
Speaker 2No.
Speaker 3Definitely not. What did you say? I messed up. That's why there's so many sub points eight points for eight months? Yeah right right, wait, no. The eight reasons for really okay I just wanted to interrupt you real quick I was doing your dad's alliteration but go ahead go for it.
Speaker 4Go for it. Next segment what do you have? Go ahead, sorry, no good, what do?
Speaker 2you have? Go ahead. Sorry, no, go ahead. What do you have?
Speaker 1No you go ahead, no you go ahead.
Speaker 2No, you See, now I know what it feels like. Okay, the next part of our show today is a little questionnaire here, and so what we're going to do, instead of having you guys answer questions about the dads, we're going to have the dads answer questions about the daughter.
Speaker 2We're going to keep score here too. Now, I'm not as cool as Brandon, where one time we had whiteboards with numbers and blah, blah, blah. Who cares? But what we're doing today is we're just going to keep score. I'm going to ask Brandon and Paul the same question about their daughter. What?
Speaker 5just happened. Sorry, that was me.
Speaker 2No, it's okay, I'll invoice you.
Speaker 5What's going to happen is.
Speaker 2I'll ask the questions to the dads and the dads will answer and if they get them wrong, a point given, a point taken, whatever we'll see how it goes Okay.
Speaker 5How do you wait? What? How about if they lose a point? The point goes to the daughters.
Speaker 2Pastor Dave will email you in eight to seven business days. What?
Speaker 3I don't get that. I don't get it, but go ahead.
Speaker 4So how do we do this now? I'm just going to ask you guys the questions. Okay, and we're just going to see what dad knows his daughter better. Okay, there we go. All right, there we go. Very good.
Speaker 3I think I know Nicole pretty good. All right Now, just keep in mind I've only gotten seven years, which means you have less to remember. That's true. There you go, hey.
Speaker 2Hey.
Speaker 4All right, here's my first question.
Speaker 2Okay, this is what every single podcast here we go, and actually the other night I was over here you were like have you had lots of extra caffeine? I was like wired that night or something.
Speaker 4It was like squirrel Everything. He just went from one conversation.
Speaker 2Oh yeah, you were in the middle of a sentence and I was like ooh, ursa 12K. And he was like, okay.
Speaker 4I just went with it. I just went with it.
Speaker 5Go for it.
Speaker 1Anyways here's the first question.
Speaker 2question when is your daughter's birthday?
Speaker 4should be easy. Yes.
Speaker 3December 6 1996 oh yeah, december 6 1996, that's correct december 3rd 2017, wow 2017 okay, wow 2017 wow, that's crazy to think when you think that
Speaker 4it was like three years before COVID happened.
Speaker 1That is crazy. You have to take it.
Speaker 4I mean that's my point of reference.
Speaker 3Real quick, real quick. I got to do the right thing here. It's actually 2016.
Speaker 1I totally messed it up.
Speaker 3I did the math, I did the math in my head, I did the math in my head and I'm like you know what?
Speaker 4Nope math in my head. I did the math in my head and I'm like you know what, nope that's not correct. You know what I give you that for honesty.
Speaker 3I lost a point, ladies and gentlemen, it's 1-0 right now yeah, it is 1-0. You're correct. There you go.
Speaker 2Lily. What did we learn there? Honesty, I mean, he lost a point, but he really won an honesty and integrity point. He did you know what I'm saying?
Speaker 5Your dad's really good at being honest. I think he should earn two points for that For being honest.
Speaker 3No, you're just biased, and that's my girl. There we go, all right. Next question Next question is this.
Speaker 2What is your daughter's favorite color?
Speaker 4K.
Speaker 2K.
Speaker 4Purple.
Speaker 1Do you know the exact shade? That's right, he might know. I'm just curious.
Speaker 2The exact shade of purple.
Speaker 1Because I think it's the same as yours.
Speaker 2There's different shades.
Speaker 4I don't know.
Speaker 1Is it dark or light?
Speaker 4I think it's darker.
Speaker 5I don't allow him to do the shades.
Speaker 3Just the basic color Pink.
Speaker 2Yeah, there it is. Oh nice Purple and pink. Nope wrong one, Wrong one.
Speaker 1Hey, good, you got a point.
Speaker 3There you go.
Speaker 2One to two, all right, we're starting off simple here and we'll get into some just let you your phone's causing, that's all good it's like it's my first time being the host.
Speaker 3Yes, yes you're doing a good job. What is your?
Speaker 2daughter's. Thank you. What is your daughter's favorite food?
Speaker 4okay, well, there are two chitlins no, not just kidding, there are, there are two. She absolutely. When she was younger, it was buffalo wings, for sure, and then, as she's older, she still likes chicken wings, but now it's she loves salmon, like a lot and I've heard about this is this your salmon? No well, it's bourbon salmon oh yeah, this is the salmon that you make right, yeah, that's right, yeah.
Speaker 2He said he makes some really fire salmon. I've yet to oh, it's delish.
Speaker 1You haven't made it for the podcast yet. Buffalo wings, you could have just said wings and I would have taken it, so that's good. There you go, good job.
Speaker 3Very good, I'm going to Lily. She can see a lot more wide variety. Just go with her favorite food at my house and I'm going to say that is pizza. Ding, yeah, ding, she said ding, ding. Yes, good job. The gluten-free cow far crust, all the healthy non-dairy cheese pizza Sounds horrible.
Speaker 2There you go, yeah.
Speaker 3It sounds horrible. It's not real pizza, that's for sure. All right, go ahead right. Here's where the questions start to get interesting uh-oh what is your daughter's favorite hobby?
Speaker 5what's a hobby?
Speaker 3that's something that you like to do wrong okay, I'm just kidding okay, I'm gonna
Speaker 4go with two things, because I didn't even hang on. I gotta think I know what they are I mean, I know one I guess, that's the the Okay, yeah, okay, I'm going to give you my joke first. Her joke favorite hobby would obviously is Home Depot, but that's not her hobby, but anyway her favorite hobbies are.
Speaker 2She loves going to Home Depot. She's her new favorite store. Really I have enjoyed going to Home Depot recently too.
Speaker 4Is that why you did the theme song? Maybe, her favorite hobbies are Gardening and music. Alright, well done.
Speaker 3Well done For Lily. I'm going to have to say it was absolutely drawing. She is very good at drawing, is that?
Speaker 5right.
Speaker 3Yay, good job, girl. I want to see your picture sometime. Is absolutely drawing. She is very good at drawing, is that right?
Speaker 1Yes, wow, good job girl, I want to see your picture sometime.
Speaker 3She's really good, she's very good, she's very talented. Can you draw?
Speaker 5me Remember the Princess Peach. Oh, that you drew.
Speaker 3I know it's really good, Princess Peach.
Speaker 5Yeah, I drew it before but I lost it sadly. But I have like drawed Pokemon like Mew and Pikachu when Pikachu's sleeping and then Mew's like flying over him while Pikachu's sleeping.
Speaker 3I know nothing about what she's talking about. Pikachu's hard to draw. She's very good.
Speaker 5That's good. I still have that picture though.
Speaker 3I know Well, hey, maybe we could show it on the podcast.
Speaker 5We can show it.
Speaker 3We'll take a picture of it and we'll put it up there. And if you guys want to buy, it.
Speaker 2My Venmo is john underscore freeze, one Buy my picture. Yeah, I'll sell it for you and then collect the profit.
Speaker 5You're going to give the money to me.
Speaker 2Whoa there she goes Alright, entrepreneur yeah.
Speaker 5You are giving the money to me if I sell it.
Speaker 3Okay, all right. Is that a threat? All right? All right, lily. No, it's not Okay.
Speaker 2next question everybody. Here we go. What is your daughter's favorite subject in school? Well, when you were in school I tried. There's only so many questions I can ask the age difference.
Speaker 1Here you can, he do college college?
Speaker 4yeah, that's fine. I don't know what your favorite subject?
Speaker 1I don't either. I don't think I can go high school.
Speaker 4I mean, I think that if you count this as a course, it's not really a course I know what you're gonna say don't say that that's not right.
Speaker 1You're going to say choir, and that's wrong. Well, that's cheating.
Speaker 4It was music. You were going to say that, though I was going to say choir, but see how you know what I was going to say.
Speaker 2That doesn't count, you got it wrong.
Speaker 5You don't get a point this is under the table talk how much is?
Speaker 3the score again we're one yeah well, we have a chance to tie it yeah um, okay, so she? She has two answers, so the the one that she's told me before is that her favorite subject is lunch slash recess that was mine, yeah and then but her serious subject, though she likes math too I love math.
Speaker 1Okay, what's 2000 english?
Speaker 2oh, really yeah oh, math question, if you like math, so much 50 times 79.
Speaker 3You want me to tell you? Lily leaned in to try to give her the answer, but I don't know what that is.
Speaker 2What is it John? What is it John? Yeah, wait.
Speaker 4What is?
Speaker 5that John? What is it what? Is it Back off. What's the answer? What's that answer?
Speaker 2What's that answer? 50-79 is clearly 110.
Speaker 4No, that's clearly not right. Moving on to the next question.
Speaker 2It doesn't matter.
Speaker 3So we're tied now. All right, it's three to three.
Speaker 5That is what's important here yes.
Speaker 2Okay. Next question is this If your daughter could be one kind of person for a day, who would it be?
Speaker 4What does that mean? One kind of person, what does that even mean?
Speaker 2I'm with you, dad, you're right. What I meant to say is I think I meant to say who- would they be?
Speaker 1Like a famous person Like person.
Speaker 2If they could be another person, who would it be what he's meaning is like Like a famous person Like person. If they could be another person, who would it be what he's meaning is like? Like a famous?
Speaker 4person, any person.
Speaker 5Like Bobby or.
Speaker 2You know I hate the music on that show. Yeah.
Speaker 3That's an inside joke, folks. We know the person that has done the music for that For Barbie In the Barbie movie. Know the person that has done the music for that For Barbie?
Speaker 4Yes, and John has very much stated his opinion on it In front of that person, no to the person, to the person's face, to the person, without knowing that they did the music for Barbie and here again on the podcast. That's sad.
Speaker 2I love the person who.
Speaker 4Who.
Speaker 2Is it a who? Is it a who? It's a who?
Speaker 3I mean it can't be a, or is it like? Is it like a job?
Speaker 4okay, let me just let me just, I have to say it like this. I would say it it's not necessarily a name of a person. I don't have an answer. I would say she would probably pick a singer, songwriter type person to be like. That would be the kind of person Drake. Not in the name of a person, like no, not Drake.
Speaker 5Singer-songwriter type person Ingrid.
Speaker 4Michaelson, something like that, what? Whatever the person is, ingrid Michaelson Well, you like so many different people, but is singer-songwriter, right, like a singer-songwriter type person.
Speaker 1I didn't have an answer. Yeah, sure oh.
Speaker 4I'm so sorry it's under the table talk.
Speaker 3So what do we decide? I don't even know, Is that right?
Speaker 1I didn't have an answer, so I guess Sure.
Speaker 2I don't know if I can have a point.
Speaker 3So for Lily, I think she would want to be. She really, really loves dogs, so I think she would want to be. She really, really loves dogs, so I think she would really like to be a vet. I think that's what. See, yes, wow, there you go.
Speaker 4There you go.
Speaker 3Good job, Good job girl.
Speaker 2Well, brandon, unfortunately, uh, it's not what I asked, so it doesn't count.
Speaker 5Well, what did you ask? Nobody knows. I never really understood what you were asking.
Speaker 2Nobody knows what you asked, I said who would they be not?
Speaker 4what would they?
Speaker 2be, because, my next question was what would they be like, career-wise like?
Speaker 4okay, which that? Then? That would have been that answer. Okay, got you right, because so I guess that's a what is, because I said the who would have been and the what would have how that?
Speaker 3How about this? We'll just say that that was the next question we answered. For the next question what?
Speaker 2are you a host or something he pretty much is?
Speaker 3though I'm trying really hard not to be Okay.
Speaker 4So what do we do now? What happens next?
Speaker 2Well, it's four to four. That's what's probably going to happen.
Speaker 3Let's skip this question. You have another question.
Speaker 2Yeah, you guys answered that one whatever, it doesn't matter, all right if your daughter had to spend one day with a person, who would that person be? Oh my goodness one day with one person one person and Jesus can't be the answer that is.
Speaker 4If she could spend one day with one person.
Speaker 1Oh, okay, so it would have to be someone pretty special if it's only one day right If it's only one day, because I could see really anybody for one day Sure. So it would have to be someone famous, exactly.
Speaker 4Would it be a famous person though?
Speaker 2That's up to your discretion. Oh, I hope it is. Do they have to be a person that they know, or a person they don't know A person they don't know. Oh my gosh, that makes it even worse A person.
Speaker 4I don't know. Yeah, how would you know them?
Speaker 2No, a person that they don't what, never mind, who cares, just say something.
Speaker 4Okay, I'm going to pick a person that she knows, not a person she doesn't know. Celine Dion oh I have an answer. For a person.
Speaker 1You don't know. I have an answer. Don't tell us you have to let him guess, yeah, yeah yeah, no, go, come on now, sorry.
Speaker 4I don't even know who this person would be. If it's a person, you don't know, I got one person you don't know.
Speaker 1Oh wait, I don't know them.
Speaker 4You don't know Let.
Speaker 1Brandon Well.
Speaker 3I'm drawing a blank here, cause this is quite a wide open question. Is it though? Yes, yes, yes.
Speaker 2It really is.
Speaker 3I'm going to go with the crazy one. I'm going.
Speaker 4No, no, no.
Speaker 3Was that really the?
Speaker 4answer, Because that was wild. Look at that she's going like I'm getting the point.
Speaker 2I'm getting the point. You're smart, I mean I love Mr.
Speaker 1B.
Speaker 5She doesn't even know.
Speaker 3I don't think that was the answer, but that's okay. What were you thinking? What were you thinking? You said I have an answer. Who were you thinking?
Speaker 5It was Zade Wolf.
Speaker 3Oh, zade Wolf. Okay, he's an artist.
Speaker 5We were literally listening in the car, I wouldn't think you'd want to hang out with her.
Speaker 4I gotta find out who her person is.
Speaker 2Before you do that actually.
Speaker 5I would want to spend a day with Mr Beast.
Speaker 2Can you sing a song by Zade Wolf? I don't know who that is.
Speaker 5This is how legends are made, and Mr Beast too, can you sing a song by Zayd Wolf? I don't know who that is.
Speaker 3This is how legends are made, that's Sam Tanez. But close, but close. Remember Gladiator.
Speaker 5Gladiator, gladiator Boomshaker, dominator.
Speaker 3I'm a gladiator, yeah, yeah we were jammed oh yes, alright, well done you got it.
Speaker 4I still don't know who this person is.
Speaker 1I was thinking I forgot the don't know aspect, but if it was someone that I did know, which I guess defeats the purpose, it would totally be Miles, not to be too sad, but my cousin who passed away.
Speaker 2I would spend a day with him and you didn't have a guess.
Speaker 4I was going to say Mary or Bria, but I see them all the time.
Speaker 1Well, some of you did know.
Speaker 4Oh, I didn't know, I didn't know, but that's a good answer, that's a good one, that's sweet.
Speaker 2I had Never mind moment ruined.
Speaker 5So If I were to so this, there was this dog Named Einstein, and he Passed away. I would Want to spend one day With him.
Speaker 4That's very sweet.
Speaker 5But, I actually did, got to do it.
Speaker 3Yeah, we knew that he was going to be put down, so we got to spend one last day with him, which was really special.
Speaker 5So that's actually a true question. Yeah, you know.
Speaker 2Einstein actually always gave me asthma, so Way to ruin a seven-year-old's dreams, John.
Speaker 3Way to go.
Speaker 4Okay, john, you know that I'm glad you've been a great host, but this is going long. How long are we? We're at 47. No way, I thought we were at 12 or something.
Speaker 3No no okay, clearly not 12 hold on one thing I gotta ask you a question how much more material do you?
Speaker 2have a lot of questions left, and I also have one last thing.
Speaker 4This is not a part one. Part two show the Father's Day only happens once.
Speaker 2Well, especially we can go up to an hour, why not Dang? My back is sweaty.
Speaker 5Can we move on to the next question? Okay, Mr Patient.
Speaker 2Jeez, okay, john. Here's what happens with this game. You both are great fathers and you both know your daughters tremendously.
Speaker 1Oh, I wanted a tiebreaker question, so bad.
Speaker 4You wanted a what question.
Speaker 1I wanted someone to win.
Speaker 2You want someone to win. Is everyone cool with Deciding question? And then we have one last thing after that and we'll wrap it up.
Speaker 4Okay, sure go for it, Folks, thanks for being patient. Paul's impatient question. And then we have one last thing after that we'll wrap it up, okay.
Speaker 2Okay, go for it, folks. Thanks for being patient um paul's impatient.
Speaker 3While you're doing that, I want to point out that my daughter's clearly like me.
Speaker 2She's trying to rush you along get you going to the next thing you know. Come on, john, you guys are ridiculous but I love you.
Speaker 5Actually, you are ridiculous. Wow, you're not even moving on yeah, see we still.
Speaker 1He still doesn't even have to pay.
Speaker 2Okay, all right, go ahead, here we go. Here's the question, here we go. Okay, if your daughter had $1 million, what would be the first thing she buys?
Speaker 3Okay, I got it. Do you want me to answer what you guys are saying?
Speaker 1I have my answer Okay.
Speaker 4The first thing you would buy with a million dollars.
Speaker 5Mm-hmm Yep.
Speaker 2Can you? I got an answer.
Speaker 5I have an answer, all right.
Speaker 3My guess would be it would be either one or multiple dogs. Yay, let's go that is crazy. Let's go, girl, brandon, just took the lead with that.
Speaker 2Let's go. That is crazy. Let's go, girl Brandon just took the lead, let's go Now.
Speaker 4I don't really know the answer to this question.
Fatherhood Advice and Appreciation
Speaker 1Look into my eyes. Maybe we can get some telepathy going. If you had a million dollars.
Speaker 4What would you buy?
Speaker 1I'm trying not to say anything else.
Speaker 4I know where you would go, but I don't know what you would go. But I don't know what you would buy. Necessarily, I really don't know. 5, 4, 3 you'd buy property that's actually.
Speaker 1I was going to say a house on land, alright, alright, I think it's just Ty. We can't beat this. I was going to say a house on land, oh my God. Yeah, all right Ty, maybe we're just both.
Speaker 4I think it's just Ty.
Speaker 2Yeah, we can't beat that, you're both great dads and we just can't ignore that Awesome. So hey clap for yourself. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1Bruh, no Sorry.
Speaker 4No.
Speaker 2There you go. I don't know the buttons are gone.
Speaker 2Hey, that was the questionnaire for Father's Day. Ladies and gentlemen, we're about to wrap the show up, but as we wrap the show up, I thought that we would go over one thing for the viewers and the people watching, and even myself here as a dad I want to get both of you all to share briefly on a tip, a piece of wisdom as being a dad, being a father how do you be a good father Something you want to share with someone like me who will be a dad one day. If you got an answer, brandon.
Speaker 4Do you want me to go first or do you want to go? Sure, being a dad for me is about unconditional love. It's about for me again, it's about being there for your kids, not till it hurts, but just being there for them at any point. And then what's? The other thing for me is being there. There's so many things in my head that I can't even remember if it helps one thing, hold on.
Speaker 3There's so many things in my head that I can't even remember.
Speaker 1Anyway, If it helps one thing that I think is so awesome about you is I can literally tell you everything.
Speaker 5Yes.
Speaker 1Everything, even the embarrassing, bad stuff that I wouldn't want to tell anybody. I know I can tell you, and you are usually the first person I tell everything to so
Speaker 2that's sweet, that's sweet, thank you yeah that's great
Speaker 4yeah, I mean all of those things come up whenever you get ready to have kids. Um, it's about, oh, you know, one of the other big things for me is just um, not just being there for them, but, um, this is huge, is kind of keeping your word with them. Your father talks about that too about keeping your work with them. Your father talks about that too, about keeping your word with your kids, and it's huge for me.
Speaker 2Yeah, that's cool.
Speaker 3Thank you. Yeah, good answer for sure. For me, I think it's two things that really just stick out is one is being present, which it's very easy to get tied up with all the other things you have to do as a dad the laundry, the dishes and all the different things, but, you know, always remembering what's most important. I always heard this said that at the end of your life, you know, you say on a proverbial deathbed, you know, will you wish that you would have worked more or spent more time with the people that you loved. And obviously that's such a simple answer for me, which is work. I'm just kidding, Totally joking, totally joking.
Speaker 3No, I had to ruin that. But no, but honestly I just love them so much. And then also kind of what you were talking about is just really creating a relationship to where the kids feel comfortable coming and just talking to me about anything. I really do my best. So the way that we do that is not overreacting when we hear something that you know might not be the best news, or going crazy or erupting in anger, but just handling it just, you know, maybe taking a second just to think about it and then come back and revisit the situation calmly and just work through it like you would with anybody else, because then that way that shows your kids that you're a safe confidant.
Speaker 5They can come to you for anything like what you're saying.
Speaker 3Obviously, Paul did a great job with that yeah, so that's my answer, cool.
Speaker 2Thank you guys, when you have kids you know what to do?
Speaker 4Yeah right, I'm going to just keep this podcast recording forever, take notes. What do they say? Rewind 10 seconds. Play it 10 years from now.
Speaker 2What do they?
Speaker 3do when my baby's still awake at 4 am and I'm starting to get asleep. Yeah, that's a whole other stage for sure.
Speaker 2Kids. I don't know if I really, anyways, yeah, that's another podcast, that's another podcast.
Speaker 4That's another one. You going to wrap this up for us now. Brandon's going to wrap it up. Oh, Brandon's going to wrap it up. Oh, we're going to flip the script. Here we go.
Speaker 2Okay, happy Father's Day. We love you, dads, thank you.
Speaker 3I was going to say I think we should let Lily wrap up the show, I think, there we go. Alright, she's been awesome. So, hey, really quick Lil. So when they hit the music, just say hey, thanks so much For watching. We really hope you Watch the next episode or something fun like that. Okay, you ready, so you go girl.
Speaker 4Here we go. You ready for the music? Look into this camera. Over here the one by All right, lily, you ready, here we go.

Speaker 3Please subscribe, oh my gosh. That was great yeah.
Speaker 2Lily, you just stole my job. I mean, I'm done, that was awesome, that was so good, that was so good.
Speaker 4Wow.
Speaker 3Yes, and we thank you for being mission men and women and going out there on a mission and we love you so much. Happy Father's Day.
Speaker 2Daddy.
Speaker 3Next time. That was weird.
