William Herring
Dr. William Herring is the VP of Research and Development at Cobb-Vantress, a global leader in poultry genetics. He joined Cobb in August 2022, bringing over 30 years of experience in livestock and poultry genetic improvement from roles at Genus PIC and Pfizer Animal Health, and academic positions at various universities. Holding a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Georgia, Dr. Herring leads initiatives like the Cobb Proving Grounds and the Cobb Research Initiative (CRI). These efforts focus on accelerating genetic progress for efficient and sustainable global chicken production, leveraging cutting-edge science and technology to ensure food security. He actively partners with customers and researchers, driving continuous innovation in broiler genetics.
