I'm a 57 Year old Disabled man. I have worked for 37.5 continuous years. This Podcast Chronicles the struggles I have while making the journey of life. From putting food on the table to looking after the car and cat. From doing the shopping and going to work. From going to the gym and socialising. And carrying out my political activism. I then keep the Diary of Real Britain to tell people of this journey. To tell them of the Britain I live in.

Monday. We have a whatsapp Conversation about the hospital food and how awful it is. We come up with a plan to meetup with my wife and mum and let my wife have some proper food. Then its lunchtime and in the afternoon its the gym. Tonight its full Parish Council. Tuesday. Its dull wet and windy and very little about. Its the usual works routine and then after work I head to addenbrookes to see my wife. Wednesday. Fireworks night and you would have thought there would be more people around. Nope! not a soul. Its a boring day and I ask myself where have the people gone ? Then I go and see my wife in the evening as usual. Thursday. Ah! its mild and its sunny but there is still very little around. All the buildings are clean and there is a lot of traders on the market square. However there are still no one around. At the end of the working day I head off to see my wife. Friday. Its a carbon copy of tuesday and wednesday, no one around and the buildings remain clean. I end the weeks work and head off home and then to the evening session at the gym. Saturday. I have been looking forward to this. I get to the hospital after lunch and go and get my wife. But! my wife refuses to go to the meetup and wants to stay on the ward. And so my mum comes and see's my wife. Then after 2 hrs with my wife I head for home. Sunday. Its the usual Sunday. Sunday Politics East on Tv. Then I head for Bar Hill and have a haircut and then do the weekly shop. Then home and then in the evening I have my Sunday roast ready meal.
