The Diary of Real Britain
I'm a 57 Year old Disabled man. I have worked for 37.5 continuous years. This Podcast Chronicles the struggles I have while making the journey of life. From putting food on the table to looking after the car and cat. From doing the shopping and going to work. From going to the gym and socialising. And carrying out my political activism. I then keep the Diary of Real Britain to tell people of this journey. To tell them of the Britain I live in.

Episode 107 Monday 19th January

Monday. This morning I make an appointment for my to see the GP but instead we see the practice Nurse. Its a Diabetic foot infection with great relief. WE get home and we play some chess then its lunch. I then go for the afternoon session at the gym. Then home cook my wifes dinner and then have mine. Tuesday. I attend a meeting with my my boss and the City Council. The work at Market Square is not up to Standard so the City Council has a form for the person that cleans in the evening to fill in. Then I go home in the evening. Wednesday. Work is still very quiet. The form at Market square is not being filled in. I go home on time in the evening. Thursday. Work is as usual quiet but the form at Market Square is now being filled in. I get home in the evening and my wife says that her right foot is no better. I tell her that if things have not improved then there might be a second visit to the GP. We both go to bed. Friday. Work continues to be quiet its times like these that I wish I am retired. However I get on with my work. I finish the week on time and then go for my evening session in the gym. And then home and help the wife into bed. Saturday. Its a quiet saturday and my wife's foot issue continues and there are no antibiotics left. We spend the morning playing chess and then in the afternoon my wife watch's the indoor bowls championship from potters. Sunday. Its the usual Sunday politics East on TV and then its off to Bar Hill for the weekly shop. Then home and then in the evening I cook Sunday Roast. I set the alarm for 8am tomorrow morning.
