Just what did Christ accomplish on the cross? In the previous lesson, we considered penal substitutionary atonement as the right biblical account of Jesus' death. In this lesson, we look at various alternatives that have been offered throughout the history of the Church. Some have had helpful things to offer to our understanding of the atonement. Others... not so much.
