This week, I'm joined by DJ, vibes curator, actress, and all around artist Nyla to talk all things from dating friends to navigating adult friendships, to her experience at an HBCU while attending FAMU, curating the vibes while DJing at parties, and so much more.
Nyla talks about what sets her apart as a DJ, her ear for music, and how she is able to pivot and play for all crowds, not limiting herself to one genre or style of DJing. She also opens up about her experience at FAMU, an accredited HBCU and how it has helped influence her confidence, pride, and so much more as an adult. Leaving the Bronx, NY to go to school in Florida, and then leaving college to pursue her acting dreams in LA, Nyla has always been fearless and never afraid to chase what she wants.
It is easier to date a friend or a stranger? We speak about dating someone you've been friends with for years in comparison to dating a stranger. Nyla shares what that was like for her, and if they were able to remain friends after breaking up. We also speak about navigating new friendships as adults, knowing when to cut people off, and so much more!
