Are you tired of the relentless societal pressures to silence your voice? Tired of the fear of being labeled as racist or anti-Semitic for speaking the truth? This episode of our podcast is for you. Join us on a journey through recent events, including the Dublin riots and MMA athlete Conor McGregor's fearless response, embodying a shift in mentality that courageously surfaced during the Trump era. Forget the fear of labels. In this shifting landscape, we challenge Christians to boldly stand up and unapologetically speak the truth.

As we navigate through the pressure of societal censorship, we shed light on the importance of taking a long-term approach towards finding solutions. You'll discover, through the distressing events in Ireland, why violence isn't the answer and can lead to even more restrictions. Instead, we propose a radical strategy - building and possibly running for office to create change. We stand beside those who choose to raise their voice, even when faced with backlash and persecution.

In our ever-evolving discourse, words hold immense power. They have the potential to control, silence, and manipulate. But what if you could reclaim that power? We dig into the roots of words like hate speech, homophobe, and Judeo-Christian, breaking them down to understand their history and etymology. We'll show you how to unshackle yourself from the fear of labels.  So, tune in, join our conversation, and let’s break the spell together.

Speaker 1:

Hello everybody and welcome to the parallel Christian Society podcast. My name is Andrew Torba, I'm the CEO of GABcom and your host, so you'll have to forgive me because I have a little bit of a cold. Maybe you could tell, but it actually makes my voice sound more radio friendly. So we're rolling with it. Bear with me through this episode. A lot's going on. So obviously I took a couple of days off for Thanksgiving. I had a wonderful, wonderful time with my family, had some downtime, and there's a lot going on.

Speaker 1:

So Dublin, the Dublin riots you know the lads over in Ireland are sort of popping off. After a stabbing happened, a five-year-old girl is in emergency care and another girl aged six and another five-year-old boy were all seriously hurt. And so the lads in Dublin just had had enough and they popped off and they started rioting, and this happened over the weekend. And you know there was a very interesting response to this, especially from Connor McGregor, who is the famous MMA athlete, and he said a post that went massively viral, and it goes back to something that I was just talking about a few episodes ago, which is that we sort of no longer care what people call us. You know, we're going to speak the truth and we're going to respond to the things that are happening in our society and in our culture and in our countries, and we don't care anymore what you call us. And we'll dive into that a little bit today, because a lot of these words whether it's racist or anti-Semitic, or homophobic or transphobic, most of these words did not exist prior to the post-war consensus. You know, you're not going to find these words in your Bible, that I can tell you, and you're not going to find them in any books really prior to around 1940 or so in most cases, and we'll get into that in just a little bit. But first I want to read this post from Connor McGregor because it sort of went massively viral.

Speaker 1:

A lot of people were talking about it and it illustrates it's that same sort of mentality that I was trying to get across in one of my previous episodes that we just don't care anymore. We call us whatever you want, the name calling and the spell binding tactics. That's what it is. It's a spell. You know. It's a spell casting in order to try to get you to shut up and to try to get people to not talk about these issues, not talk about what they're seeing with their own eyes, make them afraid to talk about what they're seeing with their own eyes and make them afraid to speak the truth and make them cower in fear over being called a word. Okay, it's really juvenile when you think about it, right? You know, this is one of our biggest fears, sort of as children is being called you know a name, a bad name, by someone on the on the playground right.

Speaker 1:

And now we see this sort of mass infantile psychosis applied across all of society, where you have grown adult men, especially grown adult men, that are afraid of being called a racist or an anti-Semites or a bigot or a homophobe or any of these silly words that are designed to paralyze them and designed to shut them up. And so this spell that has been cast over our culture and over our people is being broken, and this post from Conor McGregor really illustrates that. I think this is sort of his go-off moment right of just being done with the games. Like call me whatever you want, I don't care. Like we got to take our country back, is basically what he's saying here. So let's read this post.

Speaker 1:

So he was quote tweeting this video of this journalist who was being basically run off the street by some of these rioters and he says isn't that something? The absolute picture of weak and feeble the most divisive of all is the weak man. One of the most horrific crimes this nation ever seen has occurred. We do not care anymore what you sad cases have got to say In a war, you are nothing. We are not backing down, we are only warming up. There will be no backing down until real change is implemented for the safety of our nation. We are not losing any more of our women and children to sick and twisted people who should not even be in Ireland in the first place. Call it what you want, we do not care. May God help us all Ireland for victory.

Speaker 1:

And so you know, here's this spirit, this awakening right, this warrior spirit of, finally, men with backbones who are saying I don't care what you call me anymore, you can call me whatever name you want, it doesn't bother me anymore. The spell has lost its effect. You know when you've already been, you know cancelled and you know called names for the past decade for speaking the truth. You know, at some point you get to the realization that it doesn't matter what people call you. You need to speak the truth. You have a biblical obligation to, as a Christian, to speak the truth boldly. It doesn't meant, yes, people are going to call you names, yes, you're going to be persecuted. You know, we're warned about this. Right, jesus tells us that. You know we're going to be persecuted. You know, if they hate you, it's because they hated him first. Right, it's all right there. And so we cannot be afraid to speak the truth about what's going on in our society, in our culture, in our nations anymore, especially if the only thing they have over us is calling us a name, like once we all get over that and we just do not care anymore what they call us.

Speaker 1:

It's sort of game on, with the truth being spread in mass and more and more people standing up and saying enough is enough. I'm going to speak this truth boldly, I don't care what you call me, and we sort of start. You know, we saw this. This mentality and this sort of awakening start to happen with the rise of Trump. But now it's sort of really starting to pick up momentum, because and it will continue to, because, as things continue to get worse and worse and they are going to, you know, we sort of have to go through the storm before things can get better. And that's why I've been encouraging people to build.

Speaker 1:

You know, we have to sort of do two things in tandem. We have to speak the truth boldly, right, we have to call out what's going on, who's doing it, why, and not be afraid of doing so. And in tandem we need to be building. We need to be building solutions. We need to sort of think with a long game in mind, because this is not something that is going to, you know, just solve itself overnight. This is not like just cast one vote in the next four year election and go back to sitting on your couch.

Speaker 1:

Okay, this is going to be a multi-generational effort and it's going to take a lot of work and it's going to take a lot of people standing up and speaking the truth boldly and being persecuted for that, and that's just what needs to happen. And you know, those of us who have sort of gone through that already and have survived and thrived the canceling and the name calling and the persecution we have a duty to be stewards to those who are sort of coming up behind us and who are being bold and being brave and speaking the truth and building things and being persecuted for doing all these things. You know we have to rally around those people and support them and guide them and be, you know, faithful stewards, to help show those people you know how to get through it, how to survive, how to thrive and, most importantly, you know not to bend the knee, because a lot of times what happens is people will come out, you know they'll say something truthful and then you know the marble attack, they'll get called all the names, whatever the pressure will get on and then they'll backtrack. You know they'll bend the knee and they'll, you know, these fake apologies and whatever. And so you know, in order to prevent that from happening, when it does happen, we sort of need to shame those people, right, like you know, get behind them when they're doubling down and shame them when they're bending the knee and caving to the mob, right, and we have to apply pressure sort of both ways in order for this to sort of continue to grow, and Connor is a great example here of this starting to pick up steam.

Speaker 1:

So, on that same note, you know, of course, they're painting the Dublin quote, unquote rioters as far right extremists and all this nonsense, because anytime the right actually does something. You know it's painted horribly, but you look back at, you know, the summer of peace back in 2020 and it was all justified and you had all these corporations sending hundreds of millions of dollars to these organizations that were leading, you know, these mass riots and burning down cities for an entire summer. And that's just the name of the game. Right? You know we're not the ones in power, and so the power structure is going to support people on their side when they do it and when we do it, it's going to end badly. It's going to end up with people in jail. It's going to end up with demonization.

Speaker 1:

And you know we see where this is going now, where now the Irish government is coming out and saying they're going to crack down more on hate speech and all this stuff. So expect to crack down now in Ireland in response to this. This is sort of like, you know, handing handing the Irish leftoid government, you know, an excuse on a silver platter, you know, to enact new censorship laws and throw people in jail and all this stuff. So you know, that's why we want to encourage people to build and not destroy things and not engage in violence of any kind, because this is where it ends up. We're sort of not in a position to be able to do that, because if we do any sort of, you know, rioting or anything like this, which nobody especially not myself, nobody is condoning that stuff right, because this is where it leads to, it's going to lead to more crack and all this stuff from the government panning hate speech now and throwing those people in jail and targeting them for years and years on end, like we saw with January 6th. And so we have to be smart, right, we don't want to.

Speaker 1:

You know I think there is a mass reaction because it's a very, you know, personal thing for the people of Ireland. You know, to have children attacked and stabbed and hurt and harmed in the streets is, you know, it's ridiculous and it's certainly is cause for outrage. But you know we have to be smart with how we're responding to these things. And you know we could see these moments. You know moments like this are going to continue to pop up, you know, in the future, because people have had enough.

Speaker 1:

You know there are so many people that are paying attention but are staying silent, you know, because of the reasons that I highlighted earlier, which is, like, you know, they don't want to lose their job, they don't want to be persecuted, they don't want to be attacked by the mob. You know, they don't want to be called a racist or a bigot or whatever, and so a lot of those people stay silent. But then when something like this happens, you know this is what you see them pop off, they've just. It sends them over the edge, they've had enough. And so, you know, we have to use discernment and we have to respond, you know, with a heart that is mindful of you know, the people that are in power are going to leverage our response, however. However, we respond to further persecute us, right, and so we have to be smart. That's why I've been encouraging people to build. You know, we're builders. We don't destroy things. That's what the enemy does. We build things, and so we have to build our way out of this.

Speaker 1:

And it looks like, you know, connor is sort of leaning into this message, to where he's saying you know he doesn't come on the violence, and now he's sort of, you know, hinting that he's going to be looking into running for office, which is great because I think he'll win. Just, you know, because of his you know popular support, and he's a very well known name, you know, because of his, his athletic legacy, and so you know that that is sort of the type of response that we needs to be productive, needs to be a productive response, not a destructive response, and so we have to keep that in mind. Now there's another thing that's going on right now in Germany which is very interesting, and what I'll note just real quick here, while we're still talking about Ireland, is, you know, the Irish government very well may be reaching out to gab, you know, demanding data and demanding that we unmask certain users, and you know we see this from a lot of foreign governments, for, you know, for hate speech, right, remove this group or that group, ban this person or that person, you know, send us the information of that person because we caught them posting hate speech on your site, and our response to that is is always the same no, you know we and we've done this with so many, you know, foreign nations I probably at this point, can cannot travel to, to Germany, the UK or any of these places, you know, because of, because of how we've handled our relationship with these nation states when they demand that we censor things or that we hand over data on users. And so you know the same. You know our same policy applies to Ireland. You know, if we get a request from the Irish government for gab demanding that we dox a user or that we ban a user, that we we've even had requests like I think the German government sent us a request a few weeks ago I think it was using the Germans or the UK, I forget, but I mean we get so many of them and you know, typically we're not going to be able to handle this stuff. But you know they wanted us to ban an entire gab group and there was like thousands of people in there. And it's like. You know. No, like where do you get off as a foreign nation state making demands of an American company run by American citizens under American laws? You don't, and so, no, we're not going to do that.

Speaker 1:

And so you know the same thing applies to if the Irish government reaches out to us. You know we don't care. You know if people aren't doing something, you know if they're not doing something crazy, like you know, plotting a terrorist plot or something like that, like you know, if they come to us with hate speech, you know we're going to turn that down every time, and we do on a week to week basis. So just wanted to point that out. And you know that leads me into this next story, which is there's nationwide German raids over far right social media plots. German officials raided the apartments nationwide Thursday over alleged plot by far right group to spread conspiracy theories through social media Right, and so you know, this is, this is wild. This is this is absolutely wild, where they're raiding 20 apartments and taking the computers, smartphones, you know all their hardware, seizing it, searching it because there was an alleged plot to spread conspiracy theories through social media. This is happening right now in Germany and it's probably going to be happening in more places. And this is you know. This is why you know, if you're in Germany, if you're in the UK, if you're in Canada, if you're in Ireland, you can get on Gab and not have to worry about Gab handing over your data to you know your government.

Speaker 1:

Because you said a mini word on the internet okay, you know. Now, if you're, if you're posting threats of violence, if you're doing something that is actually, you know, illegal in the United States, you know, then you got to, you got to be reasonable here. Okay, you know, we're not going to allow that, we're not going to tolerate that. You know we're going to ban you from the site in general if you're making, you know, those type of threats of violence or anything like that. You know we have pretty simple lines in the sand. You know pornography is not allowed, threats of violence are not allowed, doxing is not allowed, but otherwise, if you want to talk about politically incorrect things or you know, talk about, you know any other topic that you can think of, you know, go for it. You know if it's protected by the First Amendment and that's that's what a lot of people misunderstand about the First Amendment is that you know it doesn't protect threats of violence. Okay, you know there are some limitations and our terms of service, I think, best reflects those limitations in an internet context, in the context of social networking, better than any other platform on the internet. But you know you're safe on Gab.

Speaker 1:

If you're in Ireland and you want to talk about politics, you want to talk about, you know, the migrant crisis or anything else, any of the other taboo topics you're allowed to talk about those things and your government can't, is not going to be able to come to us and demand that we hand over your data, that we ban you for hate speech, okay, that's, that's just not going to happen. And we have a very, very long track record, very publicly, letting everybody know that this is our stance and letting foreign governments know that this is our stance. You know this. This stuff that's going on in Germany is a big reason, big example of why Because I don't think that people should be rated. I don't think that people should be rated, and we've seen this, we've seen this, you know, in the UK as well, where people, people are rated for for posting hate speech on social media. Like these, these governments, these foreign governments, are losing their minds, and I guarantee the same exact thing would be happening here.

Speaker 1:

And really, you know, if you look at the Ricky Vaughn case, douglas Mackey, it is happening here, right, it's more isolated, it's more targeted, but it's, you know, those type of things are happening here too. And so you know, we have to be mindful of this stuff. And that's why I always tell you guys, you know, I tell everybody on GAB do not fed post, do not post threats of violence on the Internet. Right, you're asking for doorknock? Okay, and so it's not worth it. Do not post stuff like that. We have to be smart, we really have to be smart. We cannot be foolish. And we again, we don't want to be destructive, we don't want to give the enemy a reason to further persecute us. Okay, so we got to be smart, you know, don't be fed posting, don't be posting threats of violence on the Internet. Very, very foolish, don't do it.

Speaker 1:

So I want to get back to you know what I was talking about earlier, which is all of these words that are spells, right, and if you look at something called the Google Ngram viewer, which has terabytes and terabytes of data, now, for those of you who don't know, this is a tool and you could just Google this. It's Google Ngram, like the letter N, g-r-a-m, it's Google's books and Ngram viewer. And so what Google has been doing for quite some time now is scanning books physical books, right, like books going back to the year, I think, 1500, and they've scanned like tens of millions of books, you know, dating back hundreds of years. And what they've done is they've created this tool where you can search for certain words and terms and see how often that word or term has been used across this vast library of books, you know, over a period of hundreds of years, right. And so you look up these words, right, you search racism and what you see is, you know, prior to around 1940, that word just was not used ever in any book, in any literature, in any academic paper, nothing, okay. And then it just skyrockets, you know, starting at about, you know, 1960, 1980, it skyrockets again, right.

Speaker 1:

And this is with pretty much all of these spellcasting words, whether it's hate speech, whether it's homophobe, you know, homophobe, that one didn't really even exist in, you know, any book prior to around 1980, right. So these words, these spells that they have, that they use to control us and to silence us, they didn't exist for pretty much all of human history, up until the past couple hundred years, or even the past couple of decades in some cases. You know, I look at Judeo-Christian. You know that's a term that was, you know, prior to 1940, just was not used, right? And so all of these, these words that are so common in our cultural lexicon now and are used to shame people and to silence people and to push, you know, certain agendas and others, they just didn't exist, okay.

Speaker 1:

And so when you have that understanding, that historical understanding, in mind, you know these words begin to lose their power over you, right? So if you were to go back in time and talk to your great great grandfather and call him a racist, bigot, homophobe, islamophobe you know anti-Semite or a racist, you know he would look at you like you were speaking gibberish. Okay, and so you know, when we understand that these words are a fundamentally modern postwar spell that is used by the enemy to shut us up, you know it starts to break their power, right? And so you really should understand the etymology of words, where they came from, who popularized them. These things are all really important, because words have weight and words matter. And so digging into this and understanding that this sort of post-World War II consensus has created these words in order to shut people up, in order to form a system of control, of cultural control, of societal control, of political control, when you understand that that is what they were created for, they lose their power over you.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I'm no longer operating in a world, in a reality, where those words have any weight or any meaning or any significance. I don't care, you know. And once you get to that point, there's sort of no going back, and it allows you to speak more boldly, to speak more authentically, to speak more freely, and we need a whole heck of a lot, heck of a lot more of that going on. If we're going to, you know, build a parallel Christian society, if we're going to call out what's going on in the current society and fix this mess, okay, okay. So that's a really important thing to understand, and it's something that you have to just get over right.

Speaker 1:

We do not care what people who hate us call us. Why do you care? Why do you care what people who hate you and want you dead call you right? Why are you letting a word control you? Why are you letting fear of being called a name dictate what it is that you talk about? Or you know, even if you're seeing it, you're seeing something with your two eyes right, and you can't say it out loud to anybody because you're afraid of being called a word. Really, think about that.

Speaker 1:

Okay, it's just, it's still laughable to me, but you know, looking back at one point in time, those spells had control over me as well too. You know it was a real fear. Like, I don't want to. I don't want to be seen as a racist, I don't want to be called a name. I don't want people to to think that I'm this or that, right.

Speaker 1:

And then, like, they call you that, and then you figure out like, oh well, I'm still standing and nothing really changed, who cares? And I don't really care what they call me anymore. And so once you get to that point, it's sort of game over, right, it's game over for their game, it's game over for their spells, and you'll be able to live a more authentic life and people will respect you for it, and people will, you know, be inspired by it. And then they'll start to do the same thing. They'll say, hey, wait a minute, they can call this guy that and he survived and he's still standing. And you know I can do it too, right. And so we have to be courageous, we have to be bold, and it's good to see.

Speaker 1:

You know, someone with the notoriety and the celebrity of Conor McGregor, you know, coming to this realization in real time over the weekend, and you know we've seen many, many sort of celebrities come to this realization. You know, uh, yay, uh, you know this is another one in recent memory who sort of came to the same. You know, whatever they're gonna call me anti-semitic, I don't care who cares. You know that needs to be our attitude and in that being our attitude, it, the, the power of their spell, loses, uh, all of its potency. It's gone, it's. You know, if you don't, it only is going to impact and affect you. If you let it right, you're in control of the situation. If you allow it to destroy you and you allow it to, you know pot, you know, allow this buildup of fear and anxiety over being called this word, over being persecuted for daring to, you know, speak out loud what people can see with their own two eyes Um, um, then then it loses its potency and it loses all power. And so you know, that's what that's, that's the, that's the uh, that's the path that we need to take. Stop caring what people call you. It's just a word and it only has power over you if you let it.

Speaker 1:

So I'm going to end today, uh, with a beautiful prayer that I came across over the weekend. So we'll end with a prayer. So I'm going to end with a prayer Jesus Christ in your kingdom forevermore. Amen. And that's by Zacharias, your sinus. Sorry if I butchered that. Thank you, guys for tuning in. Remember to speak freely. Christ is king.
