The Parable of the Prodigal son perfectly highlights the reality of what it means to backslide as a Christian. It also shows the perfect love of our Father and how He forgives us and holds nothing against us.

From the son who blatantly left the house of his father, to the son who stayed home and grew a resentful heart, we can all (at some point in our lives) identify with either son.
