Dr Alan Pitt, CEO of VitalChat, Professor of Neuroradiology at Barrow Neurological Institute and serial entrepreneur joins the show.

With decades of experience in healthcare, Alan is hugely passionate about making a difference.

Having witnessed the transition from film to filmless & an early adopter of PACs, Alan has had a front row seat to how technology has changed healthcare - positively and negatively.

Having made the successful transition from physician to entrepreneur, Alan knows what it takes to add real value in the space.

Founding several successful companies - including a successful exit of Excelsius Robotics - and advising many more, Alan understands the pitfalls (no pun intended) that start-ups have encountered over the years & has seen firsthand how tech can often be more of a hindrance than a help.

His passion for helping front-line workers is infectious, his mission of ‘bringing people together to manage the continuum of care’. 

Realising how overburdened nurses & other front-line workers are, Alan’s now founded VitalChat who are reimagining the traditional hospital room, augmenting equipment on the ward with video & ambient intelligence to ease the burden
