Welcome to the Visibility Boost. My name is Glenneth, and I'm going to be your host today. We're going to talk about paid ads. And the number one mistake that I see people make, especially those running social media ads, but honestly it can be Google ads or social media ads, and that is advertising something with a photo. And not taking people to a page that has the products in that photo on it. Let me give you a perfect example. I am a huge sucker for things that are pink. If you know me, you know, I love pink. You also know Ella gadgets. I was scrolling through Facebook and I found these fabulous covers for apples air pod, max. And I was like, I want to buy these. And so I clicked on their ad. And I was taken to their homepage. And the ad had said their special such and such collection. And I'm like, it's just a home page. But I looked and I looked and I looked and I didn't see it. And so I'm went on. Well, they definitely have their targeting set up because I continued to see that ad throughout the day. Every time I saw that ad, I clicked on it, which of course is costing the money. And I never could find it. I did finally find in the footer where they had separated out all of their collections. And I thought I was in luck. And so I went to the collection tab at the very bottom. Started looking through the collection, looked through a hundred and some items. That item was not pictured anywhere. I went through the navigation looking for. You know, Headphones ear buds, apple, nothing. I put it in the search. Nothing. I was really frustrated, but I really wanted these. So I actually posted it on my social media and time with them. And I'm like, can anybody help me find these. And they just sent me the link. Well, okay, great. But you cost yourself quite a bit of money for me, clicking on your ad. And yes, I did buy them. But see how much easier that would have been for both me, the customer. And your customer service rep. If here you have this special collection of items and it was a collection by print. Send them to a page that just has that print on them. Like when I went to their homepage, that print wasn't even featured. So as you were creating your ads, think about how few clicks you can do to help your client. To help that potential customer. You want them to be able to click on your ad? And see the product or products or collection or type of product that you are selling, or if you're in the service industry, that particular service. They they've read the ad. They've seen the picture now make sure when they go to your website, that it's easy for them. Ultimately, that's the key here. You want to make it as easy as possible on that potential client to do business with you. Like I was ready to give that company money. I was ready at 6:00 AM when I saw the ad. And like it was. 8:00 PM or something by the time. I finally figured out where it was on the end. Thanks to their social media person. But think about that as you're doing it. And I think social media ads are great. Google ads are great. You're going to get your ideal audience. You're going to get in front of new people. But make it easy for them. Don't let, and this was a new to me company. Don't let the first time that they potentially see you and your business. B that frustrating. You want this to be a seamless process? I don't know if you've seen any of Amazon ads, but when you see a picture with a cute sweater in it, and you click on that picture, you were taken directly to that page to order that particular item, not to have to search for it. So if you've got ads up and running, go back and make sure that they're running to the best possible page. You may even need to create a page. You may need to create a search that you use as the URL for the ad, but make sure you've got them set up and running as relevant as possible. And if you're not currently running ads, Then when you start thinking about it, Keep that in mind.
