Hi friends. Today I'm at the local fire station. There are so many cool fire trucks and gadgets. Let's go inside and learn more about what firefighters do. Wow, look at the big fire trucks. They're so red and shiny. And look at all the hoses and ladders. Firefighters must be really strong to carry all that equipment.
TV Host: 1:02
Hi there. I see you're interested in our fire trucks. My name is firefighter Jenny, would you like to learn more about what we do? Hi,
Aawk: 1:10
firefighter Jenny. I'm Aawk. I'd love to learn more about firefighters Great.
TV Host: 1:16
Firefighters are trained to put out fires, rescue people in danger and even provide medical assistance in emergencies. We use a variety of tools and equipment to do
Unknown: 1:25
our job. What kind of tools do you use? Well, we have our fire hoses to spray water on fires, our ladders to reach high places and our access to break down doors if we need to rescue someone. We also have special gear to protect us from the heat and smoke. We have special equipment to help us breath clean air anytime we need. That's amazing. Can I see the inside of a firetruck?
TV Host: 1:48
Of course, hopp-in
Aawk: 1:52
look at all the buttons and dials. It's like a spaceship in here. Yes,
TV Host: 1:57
our fire trucks are equipped with lots of tools to help us fight fires. We have radios to communicate with other firefighters a siren to warn people to get out of the way and even GPS to help us find our way to the fire.
Unknown: 2:10
I see you have a fire pole. How does that work?
TV Host: 2:14
The fire pole helps us get from the second floor to the first floor quickly when there's an emergency. Would you like to try it?
Aawk: 2:20
Wow, really? Yes, please. We that was so much fun.
Unknown: 2:32
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Remember, fire safety is very important. If you ever see a fire, don't try to put it out yourself. Call 911 and let the professionals handle it. Got it. Thank you firefighter Jenny for showing me around the fire station. I had a blast. You're welcome. And remember, if you ever hear a smoke alarm, get out of the house immediately and call 911 Don't go back inside for anything.
Aawk: 2:57
I will remember that. Thanks again.
Scott Edwards: 3:02
And with that Ock waved goodbye to firefighter Jenny, and left the fire station his mind filled with new knowledge about the important work firefighters do. What a blazing adventure that was. Join us next time for another fun journey with awk. Until then, little explorers remember to always be curious and never stop learning about the world around you.
