Testing. Can you hear me? Can you hear me? Good, because what I'm about to say they hope you never do. You're seeing it all over TikTok Project Esther. Some are calling it the next Project 2025. Others are saying it's just a strategy to stop terrorism. But let me break it down for you, like we do here on Sassy Politics, with clarity, compassion and a sledgehammer, if we need to. This one, it touches everyone. I'm Christy Chanel and this is Sassy Politics.

Project Esther is a political plan from the Heritage Foundation Yep the same people behind Project 2025. But instead of targeting just federal agencies, this one goes after protesters, students, educators and nonprofits. It's a playbook to silence pro-Palestinian voices, merge religion and state and criminalize free speech. Let me break it down for you. You've heard of RICO laws, right? They were made to take down the mafia, drug rings, extortionists, organized crime. Now, under Project Esther, they want to use those same laws to go after advocacy organizations. That means if a student group peacefully protests in support of Gaza and someone donates to them, they could be labeled as part of a terrorist network. They are taking tools for organized crime and using them on people organizing for justice.

Project Esther pushes universities to fire professors or shut down departments if they teach anything that challenges US policy, colonization or support for Israel. What's that look like? It means programs like Black Studies, chicano Studies, indigenous Studies or Middle Eastern History could lose funding. Professors who teach about the apartheid Label dangerous. They are attacking truth because the truth challenges power. The truth challenges power. You know that protest we had last month no King's Day. All the signs, the voices, no violence anywhere Under Project Esther. That could be flagged. If you held a microphone, shared a flyer or live-streamed, you could be watched, flagged or even deported if you're on a visa, I know I definitely live streamed. They want to pull the plug on any nonprofit that speaks out. That means civil rights orgs, bail funds, legal aid groups, campus coalitions, palestine Solidarity collectives. They could lose their tax status, their funding, their bank accounts. Which brings me to Activist Chain. This, right here, is exactly why the Activist Chain is people-powered. We're not here for tax exemptions or grant applications. We're not here to play nice with a system that wants to defund us and shut us down. We are not a non-profit and we we never will be, because Project Esther is teaching the government how to target nonprofits. Yeah, and you can't revoke the status of a community held together by people. We are link to link. We are a movement, decentralized and unbreakable.

Let's not gloss over the name Esther, a biblical queen who used her faith to protect her people. Project Esther is deliberately blending religion with policy. It encourages lawmakers to make faith-based laws that align with a single worldview and to punish those who don't fit into that worldview. This means abortion bans justified by scripture, anti-lbgtq, plus laws backed by churches. That means your personal life now falls under their religious rule. And don't think for one second. This only affects Muslims or Palestinians. It affects you, if you're a woman who needs birth control, a queer person who wants to marry, a parent who wants your kids to learn actual history, a journalist trying to report the truth, or a single mom in Texas just trying to raise her kids in peace.
