Sassy Politics™️
Sassy Politics™️ is a weekly political commentary show that’s feminist AF, independent, and unapologetically sassy.
Hosted by Christi Chanelle, this podcast breaks down the news with sharp wit, sarcasm, and a side of are-you-kidding-me energy. No corporate talking points. No both-sides nonsense. Just real talk about the issues that matter.
From book bans and culture wars to reproductive justice, economic inequality, grassroots movements, and clown behavior in Congress—Christi covers it all through the lens of people over profit, equality over ego, and facts over fearmongering.
This is the show for people who are tired of performative politics and polished punditry. It’s for folks who care about justice, value truth, and want to understand the headlines without the BS.
Sassy Politics™️ is smart, sarcastic, and rooted in real people, real impact—because someone had to say it.

How Viral Podcasters Teach Boys To Hate Women

In this Bonus Frustration Drop, Christi Chanelle speaks on something that couldn’t wait until Tuesday.
There is a growing corner of the internet where influential podcasters and streamers are shaping how young boys think about women, power, and relationships—and it’s happening in real time.
This isn’t a deep dive.
This is a reaction, a recognition, and a warning.
What’s being said isn’t subtle. It’s repeated. It’s reinforced. And it’s reaching younger audiences who are still forming their understanding of the world.
This quick drop is about one question:
Who are we giving power to—and what are they doing with it?
This may not be a full episode…
but it’s something that needed to be said.
And it won’t be the last.

SPEAKER_00There's an entire part of the internet that is teaching boys to hate women at a very young age. And then once they hit college, it's the turning point pipeline. It's podcasters that you're giving power to. I'm Christy Chanel, and this is Sassy Politics. After I was scrolling and I saw a few posts about the manosphere on Netflix, I had to go watch it. Um disturbing is an understatement. It's these men with these backwards 1900 view of women and their place in society, which of course, and the underbelly of what's happening in the world. We already knew that, right? We've already known that. This isn't new. What's new is how it's now being a fed to the youth through podcasters. So people with mics are getting millions of followers, and you guys are blowing them up, creating the problem. The opening scene where they're introducing this one influencer. Uh, I'm not even gonna say their names. I'm just, they don't, I cannot bat. I'm not giving them any kind of publicity. Not that they don't have their own, they have millions of followers, and I'm just a lowly person here with an opinion. Um, a better opinion, obviously, but an opinion. Um, the opening scene is they're walking into his his home, and there's a girl sitting in a bikini, and he points to her. I guess her name's Cassie. I'll give her a little publicity. He goes, Yeah, that's my dishwasher and cleaner. Pretty sure I'm malfunctioning right now. Another point of view is that women are born with their value, which is beauty, and men are not. They have to fight for it, they have to prove it because they are the people that invest, create, and shape the world and maintain it. And women do not. And that's okay because that's their role to create the world that we live in. Here's the funny part: the boys that are paying attention to this, they haven't figured out that they've already fucked up the world we're living in. Like, they will because they're gonna probably end up being a part of it. But why? I guess my biggest takeaway is that right now, in order to get views and clicks and listens, you have to be as outrageous as possible. So whether or not you truly believe what you're saying, you're gonna say it because that's the only way to get people to listen. And that's not true power. It's not true power. True power is being able to say what you feel in the moment and actually know it's coming from a good place. They won't be here long. I get that, but they're gonna be here long enough to corrupt the minds of the next generation. Give the mic and the power to the people that earn it and deserve it and are actually caring about humanity. Try that. I was thinking about doing a whole episode on this for my podcast, but I'm like, fuck them. I don't really have anything else to say. I might just throw this into a five-minute episode where I don't do any editing. It doesn't deserve my time. Five minutes keeping it real, I know.
