27. New Year, New Habits: Cleaning, Decluttering & Letting Go
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The episode explores how more space often leads to more clutter and how downsizing, donating, and setting boundaries around “essentials” can bring real relief. We share candid reflections on spending habits—whether on clothes, food, or travel—and explain how identifying your personal weak spot makes limits easier to maintain. Practical, lived-in strategies like quick tidy sprints, kid-powered cleaning routines, and one-in, one-out rules are mixed with humor and honesty about the daily chaos of family life. Throughout, the conversation reframes minimalism as a mental health support rather than a picture-perfect aesthetic, encouraging ones to start small, reduce friction, and create more room for rest, connection, and joy.

Big shoutout to Allison Gray for generously granting us permission to feature her song, "Off My Mind" (from Ep 05).
Quick Catch-Up And Family News
SPEAKER_01I gotta get you out of my system. I gotta get you off of my mind. But how do I move on when no one compares? They only keep me occupied. I gotta break these chains and find me. I try to shake them up so dead, really. Would you pull 'em tighter, string me along. It's sad, but I'm so gone.
SPEAKER_03Hey Tomo and Simi, I guess. How was uh Tomo's visit in the home?
Japan Trip And Meeting The New Nephew
SPEAKER_02Are you asking me or are you asking Simiette how my visit was? Yeah, both of you, perhaps. Because you went there recently. I went there uh with my kids, just the kids and I over Thanksgiving break for a little over a week. I think it was eight days, maybe. No, well, seven in Japan, but including travel time. I think it was eight days. That's really short. Yeah, it's one of the shortest visits I've ever done in Japan. But the reason why I went was because Sumi had a baby, obviously, and I wanted to meet my nephew and also my grandparents. They're getting really old, and Babajan has uh grandma has cancer, and you know, maybe the last time. So it was good. It was very, very short. Nothing touristy. We don't have time for anything touristy.
SPEAKER_03I guess you can do only so much in a week. Yeah. And our grandparents don't even live close to where Simi lived.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so that was you know, one way to go visit them was taking three different transportation, like train, and then plus a Japanese Uber, basically. And it took about four hours one way, and then we drove back with Otosa. He drove us back, so that ended up taking close to six hours, I think. Oh, okay. Yeah, that is long. So how was our new nephew? He is massive, cute, he's massive, he's so big. Yeah, I mean, even in the US, he's he would be a big baby. Yeah, he's only five months old, but he was he's the size of my firstborn at a about a year old. Okay, well, she was tiny, she still is kind of petite, but that sounds great. She's not petite anymore, like she's almost as tall as me, but she's very skinny. Yeah. Yesterday, I think she grew again. Yeah, she's like literally almost my height, but she's very skinny, she's under a hundred pounds. So that is crazy.
SPEAKER_03So Mia, how was the visit for you? Uh, it was nice, it was short, yeah, but I'm sure you got a lot of help, maybe fights over who's gonna take care of the baby.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah, yeah. I had so many babysitters, it was such a great time for me.
SPEAKER_02They were all just fighting over him, yeah. Yeah, so Kiko, Imiko, and Baba. Okay, Baba or Mom. Yeah, I basically had no place. I just let them fight over him, but then I would sneak at times when you know everyone was occupied, and then Okaza would still take him away for me.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, um, okay. Well, I mean, she also doesn't come up often, but I guess often enough. I mean, she's been up there for how many years?
SPEAKER_04Well, she's been here every month, actually. Really? Since he was born. Okay. No, actually, no, I lied. There was this particular month that he she didn't come, but other than that, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So he was born in June. So I guess she's come at least like five, six times, maybe four or five times? Like five, maybe. I feel like five. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Maybe four.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I don't know.
First Day Away From Baby
SPEAKER_02But you know, it's not enough. Yeah, but the week was like really quick. And then Sumia, for the first time, she told me that she left Keto with our mom all day when she and her husband like entertained us at an amusement park. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. So I know she was she was a little bit worried about that's where I found out Simi's athletic level is zero. I did see the video and I was like, what the heck is just balance.
SPEAKER_04It's just that I don't have balance. That's it.
SPEAKER_03Like okay, yeah. So how was it leaving him behind all day for the first time?
SPEAKER_04Well, first it was nice, you know, being away for maybe the first few hours was nice. I was like, I don't have to, you know, hold him and I I don't really have to like worry about him. I just have to worry about me, Midaina. It was just me time. But then after like a couple of hours, I was like, oh my gosh, how is he doing? Yeah. And I would text Gossan. Yeah, and she probably was fine, right? Oh, yeah, she was fine. Yeah, she was like, have fun, like, don't come back yet. It's okay, Mitaina.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's nice. Yeah, we were gone all day basically, from like opening to close of the amusement park. Yeah, I mean, that's what we end up doing. Like, I remember when we went to visit Nudi, we he took us to this amusement park. We basically went from open to close. He ended up leaving midway because he was like, I'm so tired. He's like, I'm not used to this. And I was like, Yeah, I think my kids have still more to go, so you can leave. Oh wow. Yeah. So we met up with him later, I think after.
New Year, Cleaning, And Cultural Traditions
SPEAKER_03Well, that sounds cool. Okay, so I was thinking that maybe for this episode, which is gonna air in January, we're recording actually in December, in between the holidays. I know we've discussed in the past two years where we've done like two separate episodes about New Year's and how we spent last year, especially. Like in Japan, all of us. So we have had discussions, but I thought maybe do you guys ever do deep cleaning, like in Japan? You know, that's something that people do over New Year's Eve to welcome the new year with fresh start, or do you declutter, or do you try to minimize what you have, or what you guys usually do or don't do, or none of the above. Never.
SPEAKER_02When we went to Simi's last year, we all kind of try to collectively clean her place, remember? And then Simi and Matt was like, uh, babe, I don't know why this window's not cleaning, it's foggy. And I was like, let me see what you're using. Looked at the spray, and it said it was like for pets, like a spray for pets. It wasn't like windows. No, no, no, it wasn't for pet. The thing was called my petal, but it's not for pet. Oh, it's not for pets. Well, it it definitely wasn't for windows, and I was like, What do you why are you why is it called my peto if it's not for pet? That's that's I don't know, that's just what it's called. Okay, oh, so it was at least a cleaning product, yeah. It is, it wasn't well, but it's not well, it wasn't for windows, that's for sure.
Decluttering With Kids And Baby Gear
SPEAKER_04And I was like, that's for sure. I knew it wasn't for windows either, but I'll I figured, you know, it's just cleaning supply, so and that's like I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Sumi gave it to me, and I was like, I called her out, and she's like, I didn't know that it wouldn't work for windows, I thought it still would because it's a cleaning product. I'm like, no, wait, do you clean every to know this?
SPEAKER_03But I think we ended up not using anything in the end, right? Yeah, water, I think. Yeah, Christoph did a really good job. Yeah, he did, yeah. That's pretty funny with the yeah, little squeegee thing. Yeah, so I mean you said none of the above, but you know, I guess you don't really have time since you have the baby.
SPEAKER_04Well, right now, currently I'm going the opposite of decluttering because you know I have a five-month old and yeah, you keep accumulating, yeah. There's so many things that we have to get, and yeah. So right now, no. Well makes sense. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03What are some of the things that you bought recently that takes up space? I guess like clothes constantly.
SPEAKER_04Clothes, yeah, because he was born in the summer and we didn't have any winter clothes, so we had to go out and get some winter clothes, and you know, he's so big, he's getting bigger and bigger like each month, like growing out of the old clothes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I remember those days, yeah.
SPEAKER_04And I didn't realize how many diapers a baby goes through. Yes, yes, so we're constantly getting things, oh yeah, and wipes.
SPEAKER_03Have you gotten like new furniture or anything? Yeah, do you have like high chair? I mean, he's gonna be able to sit soon. I'm thinking.
SPEAKER_04We have one that works as a high chair. It was actually a rocking chair, but okay.
SPEAKER_03I guess like the babies, they require a lot of things, maybe, but at the same time, yeah. Now that I think about I'm like, did I need that? Yes, I guess.
SPEAKER_02But I think for your first baby, you don't know. So you end up getting a bunch of stuff, and then when you look back, you're like, Oh, wait, I didn't really need it. Because like with my second, I'm like, I don't care to use that, I don't care to use this. I'm just gonna skip these steps. She can lay on the ground, you know, that diaper stuff, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like anywhere um that they survive, anyhow. Yeah, but I feel like the clothes are usually with kids during any stage, maybe. You know, you go through a lot. I think babies grow so much faster though.
SPEAKER_04Well, speaking of clothes, I wanna say every time I get new clothes, I try to get rid of my old clothes, like either like throw them in the hospital, give them away, or go sell them.
SPEAKER_03But it seems like you also get like a lot of clothes too from your husband's, right? Oh his work sometimes?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but I don't really take much clothes that he brings home.
Bigger House, Bigger Clutter
SPEAKER_03So Thomas, what's your situation?
SPEAKER_02I keep accumulating.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Well, you have a giant house with how many bedrooms?
SPEAKER_02Six bedrooms, but it's so easy to fill every single room. And yes, we have a habit of accumulating and take advantage of Amazon, and uh I don't get rid of things enough, so it's just accumulating a lot, and in all areas, like oh, kitchen stuff, I need this, or clothes, I need more, I need more clothes, and I need more shoes, and same with the kids, but I have girls, so they all have their quote needs that are not actual needs, their wants, yeah. So yeah, we just keep accumulating and we keep getting a bigger house for it. I'm just kidding, but yeah, that's how I feel.
SPEAKER_03Like, do you think you have more stuff now than you had in your old house? Because your house is clearly bigger, obviously. I don't know. You went from how many four bedroom, although we did get rid of a ton of stuff when we moved. Yeah, I feel when there's space, you end up getting more. You know what I mean? Because you're like, oh, I'll find a space for it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, I didn't even I didn't my mind wasn't even working like that. I just keep getting it. I wasn't like, oh, because I have a bigger place. No, it's just keep getting stuff, and now we have a pool too, so we have a bunch of big pool floaties that don't have a place to go. Yeah, and now I feel like I need a shed for it or like little storage to put all the floaties.
SPEAKER_03I think for us, like my boys don't like having things, so it's so nice.
SPEAKER_02They don't care. You mean like they don't care to have things? No, not that they don't like it.
SPEAKER_03For example, my husband, when we moved out of smaller apartment to a house that we bought back in 2010, he had two boxes, and that was all his stuff.
SPEAKER_05What?
SPEAKER_03I was like, Are you joking? This is all the stuff that you have. But he's like, Yeah, because everything's online. And I'm like, Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_04Everything's online, everything's online, yeah.
Downsizing, Yard Sales, And Mindset Shifts
SPEAKER_03Like everything is like all the files and things, music, uh, movies. Oh, you mean for work? He didn't have physical DVDs, he's never had one because he says that he has them on his computer, which I thought was very strange at the time. When we moved into that house, we've lived there for five years. Of course, it was a house, so it was not a big house, but we had three bedrooms, two-story house, and a basement. And most of the stuff of mine, obviously, went into the basement. And over time, mindlessly, I was also buying a lot of things. And then right before we moved to Germany, we had a huge yard sale. And I noticed uh there were so much things that I didn't know that we had, and I kept buying like glass figures, for example. I had like 15 of them, and I thought, oh my gosh, I had no idea I had them all because I never actually went to the basement either. Yeah, you know, so that's when I noticed, like, oh my gosh, we have so much stuff. And then when we moved here, obviously we brought some things, uh, in suitcase, and then we sent boxes, but obviously we definitely downsized a lot. Current apartment that we've been living in for the last 10 years, like it's much smaller. We don't have space. I had to just usually be like, I want this, but we can't have it. We just don't have space. So I've learned over time, especially moving to here and not having space, that okay, you know what? I'm not gonna need this. So when we actually went back, sold the house in Ohio and went back to clear everything out. I pitched a lot away because I thought, you know what, this is just things that obviously I didn't need or wanted. Yeah, you were doing fine without them. Yeah. And uh so we donated a lot and then some things we couldn't, so we just pitched. And now a lot of times I go, Do we need this? Do we really need this? Or do I have space for it? And if I don't, then I just don't buy them.
SPEAKER_02Uh, the only time I think, do I need this is when it comes to food. I do that with my head. If I'm like hungry, I might be craving something because I'm so hungry, but then I think, like, do I want this because it's not really good for me? I do that like almost every single day with food. And I'm like, no, actually, I don't want that. But with things, I don't do that at all. Uh it's like an impulse by I actually convince myself I need them. And then I have a problem of not being able to find things too that I bought. I know it's somewhere in the house. Yeah. You placed it, but you can't remember where you placed it, kind of thing. Then, like months later, when I don't need it, I'm like, oh, this is where it was. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And does it make sense that it was there?
SPEAKER_02I don't know.
SPEAKER_03You know, sometimes you put stuff where it's like, oh my gosh, this makes no sense. Like, why did I put it here? kind of situation.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. We have like a team of people in our house that misplaces things, just that put anything wherever.
SPEAKER_03So I don't know. Interesting. What about your family's habits? Like, I know a little bit about Matt. He likes to buy things when it's on sale.
SPEAKER_02Do you know what he buys that he doesn't need that he has too many of, and but he keeps buying t-shirts. Okay. I don't know how many car t-shirts he needs. Yeah, he keeps buying t-shirts, t-shirt, t-shirt, t-shirt, t-shirt. Yeah, that's his thing. Yeah. I can't blame him because I I buy a lot of clothes. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So meanwhile. I don't know if you guys know this, but I don't like cleaning up. I don't like tidying up. I don't like organizing. So I do my best not to get things that I don't need. Yeah. I think I'm doing an okay job with it. Not buying things that I don't need. Yeah, so there's like no impulse by. No. Is your husband the same way? No. Oh. Well, he he usually doesn't buy things. Yeah. But he does um do impulse by like purchases. Like if he wants something, he'll get it. Yeah. But he has a lot of shoes, like sneakers. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's his thing. Everyone has a thing. Like that's what I think. What do you guys spend on? Like if you were to spend what is your hobby or what do you like to get? Food. Same.
unknownFood.
SPEAKER_04I'm the opposite of you. Like you said, like you think whether you would need the food or not, but you don't think about things if you need it or not. Yeah. I'm the opposite. If I'm craving something, I'll just get it. Yeah. But things, no.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Traveling and food. What's traveling? What do you mean? Like traveling a few times a year, like in the summer, you know, that kind of thing. Like we went to Sardinia. We were almost there for two weeks. Yeah. Um, yeah, or skiing that could get also expensive, you know, like travels.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we spend money on traveling too. I feel like we just spend a lot in general. I don't know. Yeah. But my thing is clothes and shoes, and yeah. It's always been.
SPEAKER_03I don't really buy clothes or shoes. But sometimes I go, I definitely need something new. And when those times, then I buy. But not frequent. Yeah. The stuff I will never spend money on. Do you guys have anything? Hmm. Like, you know, some people say, Oh, I don't want to spend money on food. You know, like if you can buy whatever. But I personally like to buy good quality food. We end up spending more money. Probably. We can be a little bit more conscious. Well, I can be a little bit more conscious, but usually not.
SPEAKER_02Like for me, desserts and things I don't want to spend money on unless I'm in Japan. I did buy desserts. But I don't like ice cream and things. Like if I the kids always want it every once in a while, I will go with them. I don't want it for me ever. Sweets. Yeah. Same for me. That's for sure. Missing out. I f starts to feel sick. Like if I eat. Yes, and that's what I think about. Like even greasy food. That's why I think about it. Like, I'm like, am I just thinking I want this because I'm so hungry? Then I think about the aftermath. Like, how do I feel? And I'm like, oh, I don't want that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I don't have any reaction like that except like sweet. Like, especially like something that's very concentrated and super sweet. Yeah. Yeah. Then I can probably only have a bite and then I'm done.
SPEAKER_04And then if I eat too much, I have a new zit thanks to your three musketeers that you requested.
SPEAKER_03I used to love three musketeers.
SPEAKER_04I know they're so good.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I used to have a lot of like chocolate cravings when I was a teenager, but I have none now.
SPEAKER_04Why? Where'd it go?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. It disappeared. I hardly snack and I don't eat sweets really. Yeah. Maybe once in a while I'll take a bite or something, but usually not. Both of my boys love chocolate, love sweets. Sometimes I feel bad because I can't bake. I can bake, but I fail.
Spending Habits: Clothes, Food, Travel
SPEAKER_02Well, out of the three of us, Cody, I'd say that you are really into decluttered minimalism ways of living. Do you have any tip on how to live that way? Everything starts mentally, right? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Now I think I probably because I'm much older. Um, that when if things are cluttered, when you come home when you're out, it immediately puts me in a funk mood. But when you have a clean house, when you're come home to an organized house, even if you're not living like this minimal life, you feel better, you know. And I think it doesn't add any stress if you're already going through some stress. So in that aspect, I like that. And I think we've gotten so used to just cleaning up when we have, you know, like gatherings here. I cook a lot, as you know. While some people are here, it's probably not the best time to do it. But I Christopher and I will take turns like cleaning up as we spend the evening. So then by the time everyone leaves at night, there's minimal things that we need to clean. Because in the morning, waking up to a huge mess versus pretty organized, minimal clutter makes a huge difference.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, I know what you mean about coming home to a clean house. I like that too. But it's like if you open our closet, it's not organized, you know? Yeah. Like our garage is not organized. It's just yeah. But do you care? Garage, yes. My closet, no, it's not that bad.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. If it's annoying you or whatever, then yeah, you should take action for sure. But if it's not, if you can live with it, I think it's hard to have that mindset of okay, let me just, you know, organize it or clean it or declutter it or whatever. Me. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But the thing is, not everybody at my house is on the same page. Yeah. So I've tried so many times to organize, label everything, and it doesn't stay like that at all. Yeah. So then I lose my drive because it's like, what's the point of stressing by myself when no one else cares?
SPEAKER_03Or they undo things for you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I think my son is pretty aware of that also. Like he always makes his bed and he folds his PJs, which he's been doing since he was younger, but you know, it's habit that we instilled in him. So like he does it automatically in the morning. You know what else he could do? Brush his hair. But that's another topic. He's pretty adamant about doing that every morning, no matter what, before he leaves for school. Yeah. So if you build a habit, then you just do it automatically. And there are a lot of things that you could also find, like gems sometimes. It's like, oh my god, I totally forgot I had this. But I'm glad that I found it. Now I know where to put it. And you know, our house is not always clean or anything. It's not always pristine. But we have place for things. Then if I need something, I can find it.
SPEAKER_02We also have kids' friends over all the time. And they love to even play in the closet.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Our like storage closet. They love to pull things out. So I think I've just completely shifted my mindset. Yeah. I don't stress about it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Even within like 10 minutes, if you can get everybody to just take that 10 minutes, like help clear things up and make it a habit, I think it'll stick.
SPEAKER_02You know what we do is every Sunday we have cleaning day. We clean every single Sunday. Yeah. Like all of us. And you know what Keiko does is she puts on a tutu and sunglasses when she cleans. And I said, Why do you always do that when you clean? And she goes, Because it's really uncomfortable and I look ridiculous. And I'm motivated to just take this off. So while I clean, I want to wear this so that I can get rid of it.
SPEAKER_03Wow.
SPEAKER_02She does it every Sunday. It's funny. I actually took a picture last weekend because Emiko also joined in on it. So they both had tutus and sunglasses for cleaning with cleaning gloves.
unknownThat's funny.
SPEAKER_03Maybe you can like do a decoloring session one day. You know, you give them boxes and then ask them to put stuff in that they don't want or need anymore. And you can donate stuff.
Minimalism Tips And Habit Building
SPEAKER_04Yeah. You know what I do is I make a list of places I want cleaned. Yeah. And I ask um Okasan to do it. You have somebody else do it for you. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But she's not the greatest at organizing. She's not.
SPEAKER_04But when it's not her house, like if it's someone else's house, she's more motivated.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So in a way, I feel like I'm doing her a favor.
SPEAKER_03Uh-huh. Well, yeah. She's moving her body. So it's exercise.
SPEAKER_04So last time she was here, she cleaned out the pantry.
SPEAKER_03That's awesome. I guess you can ask somebody else to do it for you. That's also a thing. Yeah. I feel like it's easier to do somebody else's than doing yours. Because sometimes it's like, okay, where do I start? Because there are too many people, you know? Yeah. But maybe we can set a goal for next year since in years coming up that we at least like declutter some things.
SPEAKER_04So I have a question. Okay.
SPEAKER_02How often do you guys vacuum? I vacuum at least once a week and mop the entire house, like a thorough one. But every other day I spot vacuum slash sweep because it drives me nuts when I see anything on the ground. And oh my gosh, the kids, I don't know. I have like dogs or something. When they eat, I always tell them to eat over the plate, but they make such a huge mess. I make them clean if I see it, you know. But a lot of times when I see it is when they're not around. And so I just I don't want to wait around for them to vacuum. So I just end up doing it. But if I see it, that they make a huge mess, then I just tell them like go get a vacuum cleaner and vacuum. Yeah. Uh also the entryway gets really messy quickly because you know, Emico has soccer. We have people come in and out all the time by the entryway. So that area I always vacuum.
SPEAKER_03Same with us. That area, I feel like it's like every other day, pretty much.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It must take a really long time for you because your house is so big.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh. That's why we do Sundays together. Like the kids' bedrooms are all in the loft upstairs, right? So they are in charge of vacuuming on Sundays upstairs, like completely in their room as well. I have a list, you know. They do their own room, say that their bathroom and everything, and they have to check, like even the bathtub, they have to scrub, the mirrors. We all do it, and they're in charge of upstairs where they live. Matt and I will do downstairs. So, in a way, like we have the downstairs space. But like I said, every other day I try to keep up with as far as floor, but we do do thorough vacuum and then mop like once a week. Like last weekend, last Sunday, this past Sunday, Matt vacuumed and I followed him with a mop.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I should be mopping more, but I mop our bathroom more frequently once a week. And then vacuuming. Our place is not very big, so it doesn't take very long, but I can do more, I would say. At least once a week. But at the entrance, it's always like every other day. Oh.
unknownOkay.
Family Cleaning Systems And Sunday Routines
SPEAKER_02But Tomo, you also have um a roomba. Yeah, that acts like an old man, like an elderly, I always say, with dementia, because it needs to be helped, it needs assistance all the time.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So it's kind of useless lately. It'll I hear it say it's going home and then it doesn't come home, or I'm like, where did it go? You know, or it'll say, like, please help it. It's like stuck all the time. So I use it for more spot cleaning. Right now, this month, ever since we stu uh set up Christmas stuff, I haven't used it because I don't want it to like tell me constantly, oh, we got stuck, because you know, we have like Christmas stuff, you know. Oh, and also another that just reminded me, speaking of like the kids always making a mess. For whatever reason, they love, you know, we have Christmas decorations every single year. The gnomes go missing, the Christmas gnomes that are like I actually spent you know good money on. They're like nice gnomes. And there's three of them, three gnomes, two of them go missing all the time, and I find them in random places. I'm like, why are they always like moved? And the kids are like obsessed with like playing with them. Yeah. You know, I have to change my mindset.
SPEAKER_03I see like a lot of my hair on the ground when I do like yoga and stuff. Yeah, yeah. Especially mine. Like, I feel like I never see the boys' hair. They have, you know, I think Lucas probably hardly ever sheds, but Christoph's hair is also very thin. So I feel like maybe it just kind of blends in on the floor, and his hair is also lighter, but it doesn't matter which floor. We have wood floor, and then we also have tiles, dark tiles, and you'll find my gray hair on the in the dark tile. Your gray sheds? Of course. Really? Yep.
SPEAKER_02I don't think I've found a gray hair yet.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because we have nothing. I have no gray.
SPEAKER_02No, I do. I have gray hair. I mean, I guess I hide it, but yeah, but I have a lot. So I mean they shed. I don't know why I thought that they don't shed as easily as no. Oh, really? Simea, what about you? How often do you vacuum?
SPEAKER_04Well, we have a roomba thing too. It's not roomba, but oh yeah, I remember seeing it. It sweeps and mops. So that I use once a week, but when I vacuum, I don't know. Yeah. Um, because I gave birth. My hair, I'm losing a lot of hair. Yeah, yeah. So I quick could wipe up, like mopping.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04That's more effective. That once a m once a week.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Does uh your dog shed at all? Not really. She's the one that doesn't really shed in our house right now.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Because we're all losing the other ones, we're all losing our hair.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02By the way, she was uh very jealous. I could tell. Uh you have a baby. She was dying for attention when we were all there. Yeah, she kept like jumping on my lap a lot. Uh she's like, Look, I'm here. I thought it was very interesting. I dogs didn't really show jealousy, but I had two. They had each other, and they were really close to me before the kids could tell with Oreo, like he was she, she. I always think it's a boy. She was wanting attention a lot.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, she's super jealous. Yeah. Whenever I put Hiro down, then she comes over to my lap. Yeah, she's like, now it's my turn. Yeah, see, she's right now, she's on my lap. Because she's asleep, don't feel like.
