Product Review Historical Edition: Folding Cabinet Bed
Sarah E. Goode, in an effort to assist lower income families in small apartments, invented a desk that converts into a bed. The space saving piece was a precursor for the murphy bed. Mrs. Goode received her patent in 1885, one of the first black American women to receive a US patent.
