Episode 9: April Daly – Prima Ballerina
This episode hits on so many potent topics for the modern day woman. Nell and Laine talk with April Daly, an ex-prima ballerina from the Jeoffrey Ballet. They delve into the struggles and choices that women face everyday, balancing a career and the pressures of family. To be or not to be. April shares her experience of being at the height of her career while simultaneously having to think about fertility and family planning. She also gives insight into how she indirectly prepped for her second life--a career after ballet! As icing on the cake, April tells us about her romantic and adventurous love story and eventual marriage to a fellow dancer that defected from Cuba. Good stuff mi gente!!!
