The agreement between lawmakers and Governor Hochul was finalized in late April, several weeks after it was due. However, the final budget included a comprehensive deal on housing for New York State.
This episode takes a deep dive into those issues, along with an analysis of how it all came together.
The housing package was approved one year after a similar deal fell apart in Albany after Democrats failed to agree on final terms.
