7.5 Ties to MS: Samuel Haskell, IV
On November 7, 2023, day laborers hired by Samuel Haskell, IV, to move trash bags from his Tarzana home discovered what appeared to be part of a human body inside. Does the name sound familiar? That's because he's the son of renowned Hollywood executive Sam Haskell, III, former head of the Williams Morris Agency and CEO of Miss America, whose roots stretch back to Mississippi. His wife, a former Miss Mississippi whom he met while attending Ole Miss, has quite an impressive career in movies and television. Mrs. Haskell has remained active in Mississippi, having served on the Ole Miss Women's Council and was recently inducted into the Ole Miss Hall of Fame in 2023.
Their only son, Samuel IV, is now being accused of murdering and dismembering his wife and possibly her parents, as their bodies have yet to be found.
Listen now for another of our new series of mini-episodes, where we'll break down cases that lead to a quick conclusion.
