Can a college student create an effective mentoring program? Emphatically, yes! Just ask MJ Biener, a senior in the business school at the College of Charleston. He knew he had benefitted from the mentorship of other students, and he wanted to give back. Last year he created Palmetto Mentors, a peer mentorship program that matches incoming freshmen and transfer students at the College of Charleston with upperclassmen to help make their transition smoother and more productive.
