DPC Launchpad Debrief 2026
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
We just watched a room full of nurse practitioners and physician assistants realize they don’t have to practice medicine the way they’ve been told and that shift is the heart of what we’re talking about today. Coming off our second annual DPC Launchpad conference, we’re processing what we learned, what surprised us, and what we think is changing inside the direct primary care movement for advanced practice providers.
We break down the real-world wins and limitations of hosting a DPC conference on a cruise ship, then get into the most useful “steal this” ideas we’re bringing back to our own membership-based primary care clinics. That includes simple visibility changes like posting a menu of services, a memorable clinical tool that lit up the room (the sphenocath for migraines), and the operational relief that can come from delegating smarter, like hiring a virtual assistant for marketing and organization.
We also talk about why the content matured this year: bringing in experts who live in the business trenches, not just clinicians. Website design, bookkeeping, malpractice and business insurance, AI, and marketing show up as make-or-break skills for DPC sustainability. Then we look ahead to Austin, Texas and what we want to build next: hands-on skills workshops, cybersecurity, tax strategy, retirement planning, exit planning, HR and hiring, plus a bigger push into B2B direct primary care for employers.
If you’re curious about starting a direct primary care practice, already running one, or trying to grow beyond word-of-mouth, you’ll leave with concrete next steps and a clearer picture of what “better” can look like. Season Three And Big Purpose
SPEAKER_00Welcome to season three of the DPCNP podcast. I'm your host, Amanda Price, nurse practitioner, clinic owner, and someone who believes there's a better way to care for patients. This season we're diving deeper into the real stories, challenges, and breakthroughs behind direct primary care. Whether you're just curious or ready to take that leap, you're in the right place. Let's get started. All right, everybody, we're starting up with season three of the DPC NP. There is something powerful about watching a room full of nurse practitioners and physician assistants realize they don't have to practice medicine the way they've been told they have to. We just finished our second annual DPC Launchpad conference, and I left feeling encouraged, challenged, and honestly hopeful. So today, Penny, Monica, and I are rehashing the weekend. What we learned, what surprised us, and what we believe is shifting in the DPC world for nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Welcome, Penny and Monica.
SPEAKER_02Well, thanks for having us, Amanda. It's good to see you ladies. It's been a week.
SPEAKER_00I know I've really missed you girls. I know.
SPEAKER_02Last week we were all hanging out a cabana at this hour.
SPEAKER_01I exactly thought that when I got up this morning. I said, Oh, no, I like last Friday better. Uh-huh. It was so great.
SPEAKER_02It was exactly what I needed after that conference. It was really, really great. So thank you. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_00Honestly, soaking up some of that sunshine and then coming home to 45 degree weather. I wanted to be right back there. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's 83 D in Austin, Texas.
Why Launchpad Exists For NPs
SPEAKER_00Let's talk about it. So if you do not know what DPC LaunchPad is, we have finally got our own space to talk about all things DPC, where only nurse practitioners and physician assistants are invited. So since this was our second year and we decided we would do it on a cruise ship, why don't we start off with how overall we felt that went?
SPEAKER_02I think from a logistics standpoint and what we didn't have to plan, it was awesome, right? Like we didn't have to worry about people's food preferences, gluten-free. We didn't have to do any of that because the ship took care of all of that for us. So from a conference organization standpoint, it was amazing. I think from an attendance standpoint, I was not as excited. And I get it. Some people don't like ships. And I will say it was a little rocky. I definitely had to put on my scopolamine patch because some people were a little green. So I understand it. I think it was great. I'm glad we did it, but I don't think we're gonna do it again because we need all the people to be.
SPEAKER_01I concur. Yeah. We had so much more awareness and attendance last year when we did it because it was in person or land-based, I should say, right? And we had the virtual option too. This year we didn't have that option because we didn't know what the Wi-Fi on the ship was gonna be. And so I think we missed a big group of people that could have benefited from our conference and now they'll have to catch us in Austin 2027.
SPEAKER_02That's right. I also think it was, you know, we've done them both on the East Coast, and so I think we've left out our West Coast friends a little bit. So we're gonna bring it to the middle of the country next year. Come to hopefully warm in February, Austin, Texas. It could be warm or we could have an ice storm. So I'm gonna I'm gonna talk to my Austin weather gods and uh tell them it needs to be nice. It's 85 degrees here today, so we're gonna keep our fingers crossed. But you know, I just think it was great, but I understand as a person who loves to travel, I'm all about when you can combine business and pleasure, right? Like I gotta bring my husband. It was it was great. But I also see where people were a little hesitant to maybe shut down their practice for a week, which is what we can teach you how to do at the DPC Launchpad. But you know, next year we'll uh condense it a little bit and have some fun at Austin.
Cruise Conference Wins And Limits
SPEAKER_01And still make it a work, you know, a work trip with some fun, right? You know, typically, I don't know about you gals, but when I go to conferences, I'd say probably 80% of the time my hubby comes with me and we make it into a trip. You know, we spend a couple extra days and we do us.
SPEAKER_00So yeah. Yeah, that's probably one of the main things that I love about this conference is it's conducive to bring our spouses and to make it into a mini vacation at the expense of our business. That's what I love the most. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'll tell you, my husband had a great time. He really, I think it was great for him to be able to connect with other spouses of DPC providers because I think our spouses are very important to our lives, right? They are our sounding boards, we complain to them, we celebrate with them, we do all the things with them. And I think it was really great for my husband to be able to connect with other people who are also in that role to realize that you know what, he's not alone either. And sometimes it sucks to be our spouse because life gets hard sometimes. Um I think it was great.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Mark said, Kevin and Clay are my favorite. I'm like, oh, you have best friends all over the country.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_00Well, how do you think that the conference matured from our first year? You know, our first year we were kind of, I don't know, I feel like we were just trying to wing it because it was brand new to even us as a concept. So we were trying to make it comparable to just our experiences and going to other conferences. But how do you think the second year compared as far as coming behind that initial inaugural conference?
SPEAKER_01I think, you know, from being the MC of both, right, I had a unique vantage point. You know, what I loved that I saw this time is lots of note-taking, lots of people talking. And I think, you know, being on a ship really helped us because we had so much more time to be able to spend with these attendees outside of the conference. So the relationships, right? And they got to ask questions, not just of the three of us, but other established DPC owners as well. So I think that was very unique that we had this year compared to last year. I think content-wise, we stepped it up from last year, but we're gonna level it up again next year.
SPEAKER_02So I think last year we had a little bit of repetition in some of our speakers and some of our presentations. And I think this year we limited that much more. There was still a little bit of repetition, but you know, we're we're all talking about the same subject. And so I think there were more tangible takeaways this year as opposed to last year, which I think is really helpful. I mean, even I, as a person who has has been in DPC for seven years and has a mature practice, like even I still got nuggets of like, oh, like one of the things that I loved was Penny talked about having a menu of services on the wall. And I was like, that is genius. Do you know how many people don't know that my practice offers a triimmune shot? Because it's in the fridge. They don't, they don't see it there. And so, unless they follow us on social media or go on our website, they're never gonna know it's there. And so that was even as a person who's been doing this for a long time, it was really great to get those nuggets of information to bring back and actually apply. So I think that that was really great.
SPEAKER_01And the sphenocath, right? I think the spheno cat was across the board the number one thing that I heard the whole week. Oh my God, I didn't know.
SPEAKER_02Because nobody knew what that was. And now you're like, wait, you guys can fix migraines in like four minutes. And my husband is sitting in there, like, you need to do that tomorrow. So, did you order the spheno cat kits? Not yet, because I kind of forgot about it until right now. It's been a I'll tell you, it was a process to get back into life, ladies. Like, I don't know about you, but I was exhausted after last week. I just came home and crashed, and I still think I'm recovering just because there was so much amazing interaction. Like, I'm an extrovert, but that was a lot of extroverting. And I was just like ready to not talk to people for a few days. So, no, my sphenocasts have not been ordered yet, but it's on my to-do list right here on my desk.
SPEAKER_01So we gotta we gotta tell everybody, right? Yeah. So for those of you that are listening, go to sphenocath.com, S-P-H-E-N-O-C-A-T-H. Look it up. You can thank me later. I've been doing this for nearly a decade in my practice, and it is a game changer in your migraine population. Not medical advice, by the way, just friendly business advice.
SPEAKER_00But you're gonna have to watch the YouTube video of putting that thing up somebody's nose. It's kind of disgusting, but there is a positive at the end of it.
SPEAKER_01It's worth it. I promise it's worth it.
SPEAKER_00Well, I will say, since we're talking about little nuggets that we took away from the conference, I would say the most helpful thing for me was recognizing how helpful a virtual assistant could be in just my daily organization and marketing. I can think of so many things now that I could assign to a virtual assistant in the Philippines for$5 an hour that would make my life so much easier. And I knew that that was an option out there, but I guess it just doesn't register how easy it is to find one until you are amongst all these other more experienced providers that already have one and you're like, oh, how do you do that? How do you do that? So thanks to the both of you, y'all have walked me through and now I've applied for one. So I'm just waiting for all of my res thousands of resumes to come in. And they better put Faith Family in the comment section.
SPEAKER_01I think my big takeaway, you know, my practice is so different than uh, yeah, I just ventured a guess to say probably 98% of the practices out there, right? In that my own personal specialty is that very medically complex. But what last week showed me is because that's my specialty does not mean that it is my DPC's practice specialty. And so I've really spent this last week hunkered down figuring out how do I divvy up the primary care component for the three nurse practitioners that work for me, who Lyme is not their passion, separate from Lyme is is mine. And so this, you know, last week really kind of got me in my head about that. So I've I've kind of figured it out and I've got an admin meeting Monday to kind of start to put the process into place to really just divide them. And eventually I'll make a separate business that'll just be my Lyme group. But for now, I've got to put a little bit more separation so that my FMPs can focus on primary care and let me take care of that medically complex stuff.
SPEAKER_02I love that we have these like amazing breakthroughs and revelations from these amazing situations. Like that's sometimes you get in business and you just like keep going through the motions. And so to be able to be around all these amazing humans and just come up with new ideas, it's it's great. I love it.
SPEAKER_00And spinning off of that, I would like to mention that I loved the speaker lists or the speaker subjects that we had this year because we brought in a lot more speakers that were talking about specific entities of business rather than just all nurse practitioners. Last year we had all nurse practitioners or PAs, and then we had the attorney. But this year we had someone speaking about AI, we had someone speaking about website design, we had someone speaking about bookkeeping, we had someone speaking about insurance, and these were not nurse practitioners, these were people skilled in that area. So, how do you feel like our attendees responded to that this year versus what we did last year?
SPEAKER_01I think the feedback on the ship was great, but the proof will be in the survey and we'll see what that shows. But the feedback that I heard initially was everybody loved and appreciated the fact that we had the insurance guy and we had the marketing gal, and you know, we had the money people and stuff, right? Because we're all business owners, but that's not our jam, right? We weren't taught that stuff. We didn't go to school for that. So this is where advanced practice professionals excel, right? We excel at delegation. So let's delegate the stuff to the people that that's their jam so that we can focus on keeping people alive.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I thought it was really helpful because we are all nurse practitioners and PAs. Like we know how to take care of patients. That's not what this conference is about. It's not about your skills and you know, we might bring a skills part two next year in terms of like procedure hands-on stuff. But that's not the focus of this. The focus of this is about how to run a business. And I have three degrees in nursing, not one in business. So I can explain to you what I've done and the mistakes I've made and how to make it better and how to avoid that. But having the experts in the room to tell me about malpractice, like I've always gotten malpractice and business insurance, but do I understand it? No. I go on there and I type in my information and they tell me what to do. And I just go with it, right? And so now I feel like I have the actual education to ask the right questions to make sure that I really am getting what I need. Um, and the marketing, I mean marketing is by far DPC's biggest struggle. And so I feel like we could talk about marketing till we're blue in the face. And I really hope that next year we could maybe even do some like, let's create this right now. Like, let's all make we talked, I talked so much about putting your face on a video. Next year, we're all gonna make a video. Every one of us is gonna make a video while in that room and post it, right? Because you just have to do it and we can talk about it. But I do think it was it was helpful to have those experts in the room.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I think next year we do a little bit more awareness, not just awareness, but the skill of B2B, right? Like business to business for DPC is huge. And you know, I think I can vouch for the three of us, we've pretty much built our practices by the individual, whether it was the individual family or the individual patient. But you know, now that I'm can take a step back and look at it, I go, now 2026 is about businesses. I spent the last seven years building it by the one-offs, and now it's time to pull in the businesses.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. We have about a 30-70 split of 30% businesses, 70% individuals and families. But I really think like sitting down and doing some role-playing, like we can talk about how to have those conversations all day long. But I need you to put Brian Fretwell up there and I will pretend to be the business owner. And he just needs to explain to everyone like how do you start these conversations? How do you have these conversations? And I've actually taken some of the things Brian talked about and even applied them this week when I was talking to new business owners. But I think that, you know, how to network and like just what should your pitch be? How do you explain to people what we do? And I think that's that's very powerful information.
SPEAKER_01So I'm gonna add to that. I think you both know that I am in the Chamber of Commerce. Um, there's a business accelerator program and it was an application program, and I was one of six chosen for this year. And so we had our meeting this morning, and I was talking about my ideal business client for the year, and he challenged back to me and he said, I think you're thinking of the wrong client. He said, Where DPC is going to excel is in that we call the what he called the top-tier manufacturer. So we've got big things here in Charleston like Boeing. We've got a Mercedes-Benz plant and things like that. And what he said totally made sense was your clientele is that the supplier to Boeing and the supplier to Mercedes, right? That has at least 50 employees, but maybe has 200 employees, where they're running an assembly line in time away from their assembly line. It's time they're not getting paid by Boeing and Mercedes because they're paid by time. And so he said, you know, your cell is to that business to say, hey, listen, I can help with your workers' costs. I can help with your overhead in terms of, you know, what your insurance premiums are by being able to get you to a high deductible plan paired with a DPC membership, paired with an HSA, you're now maximizing your tax benefits. But more importantly, maybe if there's enough, I come to your clinic or to your um job site, you know, once a once a month or a couple of times a month so that we minimize the disruption to your assembly line. And I never even thought of that. You know, here I'm over here going, yeah, I'm gonna target the electrical people and the HVAC people and the the trade people. And he's like, No, don't do that. Absolutely don't waste your time on that. This is where you go. And I was like, genius.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, love it, love it.
SPEAKER_00That's good. So circling back to our conference, was there a favorite moment, a favorite talk or inspiration that y'all can think of that you really enjoyed that you thought really resonated with the attendees?
SPEAKER_02I'll tell you, I think my favorite was um Lisa. So Lisa finished day one.
SPEAKER_00Shout out to Lisa McGarry, by the way.
SPEAKER_02She's like the OG that's just very quiet in the corner and doesn't tell everybody how awesome she is. And you know, I was a little concerned when I was like looking through the the handouts that we had. So thank you, Penny, for getting amazing binders for everyone. I thought it was just gonna be a completely repetitive conversation. And she, first of all, pulled it all of our heartstrings with her like terrible situation that she fought through. I mean, she's just an inspiration to anybody, but also like her take on DPC and how just how phenomenal of a human she is and that everybody can do it. I thought it was a really great way to end day one because I don't know if you remember how we ended day one last year, but I'm pretty sure it was lawyer lady. And at the end of that, I felt like everybody was like, shit, I can't do this. I can't, this lady is telling me everything I'm doing is illegal. I gotta go. I'm out. And so I thought that Lisa was a really great way to end the day with on a high note to keep people who had heard so much information that day that may have been like, oh my God, what is going on? It was a really great, like, you know what, you can do this. If she can do this, she can build it once and get it completely ripped out from under her and then start again. You can do this too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It humified it, right? It it made it, you know, it made it that human story. It's not just the, oh my gosh, you know, it's it's this ideal thing, right? I can I can be a business owner and I can have freedom and I can have work-life balance and I can actually love my job again. That seems unachievable when you're coming from fee for service. But when you hear Lisa talk and you're like, oh, I can do that, man. Look at what this lady went through. I got nothing to complain about, right? Like I can easily do this. I just got to get out of my own way to get there.
SPEAKER_00Yes, and I completely agree. That was my favorite moment in the DPC launch pad for year two as well, is just listening to her inspirational story. But I love listening to people's uh inspirational stories anyway. I love hearing the backstory, even in my when I'm doing patient care. I love to hear where they came from. Like it's just I I I guess it's just me being a people person. But when I first interviewed Lisa and heard just a, I didn't realize I was only hearing a fraction of her story. So if any of you want to hear the fraction of her story, you can go back and listen to the podcast interview that I did with her. But she's just so amazing, like y'all said. I mean, I cannot ever complain about anything ever again because I will always be thinking of her and being like, Amanda, you there whatever you think you're di going through does not compare. And she still rose above every challenge that she was dealt and has yet again another successful DPC clinic about to open up her second office. I mean, she is the GOAT for sure.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. She's pretty impressive.
Did Attendees Feel Empowered
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Okay. So do you feel like the attendees walked away from this conference, empowered, more confident? Do you feel like we successfully answered questions or met the needs that everybody that showed up was looking for?
SPEAKER_01I would say yes in talking to everybody. The answer was yes, you know, from everybody. It was so much appreciation. You know, thank you for doing this. Thank you for putting this on. Thank you for going out of the way, right? The three of us who have our own practices in our own lives and still did this, you know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I think the QA at the end that wrapped up the whole conference was really great. I think really great questions were asked. And then, you know, there were so many people that came out to happy hour, and I think the conversation has just continued from there. And so, yeah, I've I feel like if you were an attendee and you did not get your questions asked, you have no one to blame but yourself. We were readily available for all of your questions.
SPEAKER_00I didn't make it to happy hour. I already don't remember why.
SPEAKER_02You went to the sweet lounge and got those free drinks.
Austin 2027 Plans And Topics
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, I was promoting DPC to strangers over in Hilton Head, South Carolina. That's what I was doing. There you go. See let's move forward to what DPC Launchpad Year Three looks like. And bigger and better. Yeah, bigger how. Better how.
SPEAKER_01Let's get into the details. So we talked about, I think one of the things I really want to bring to Austin, and Monica and I talked about this a little bit more, is a skills workshop, right? I think as practitioners, we're not utilizing, you know, all of the things that we have as a skill set, you know, the sphenocath was the perfect example of that, right? That's an easy thing that we can bring to primary care. I think also in the DPC world, you know, a lot of us have have been out of school for a hot minute and maybe we just need to refresh our own suturing or um, you know, removing a fish hook or whatever it is, right? So I think bringing a skills day or skills afternoon or whatever, I think is gonna be a big one. But then I think bringing in some other hot topics, like we talked about, you know, bringing in the awareness of cybersecurity next year, right? I think that's huge.
SPEAKER_02I think another great topic to add on is gonna be tax strategy, right? So as you start to make money, how can you best utilize the tax laws? I'm not saying we're breaking any laws here, but we can step to that gray line. I'm not gonna step over it, but I will step to the gray line. Um and so I've learned a lot of those tax laws from you know employing your child to using different tax rules to save you money. And so I think bringing in a tax expert to help with those that are getting to that point where. We need to start being smart about this and not giving all of our money to Uncle Sam is a really good idea.
SPEAKER_01Well, and I think too as business owners, you know, setting us up for retirement is huge. And, you know, I think when we opened our practices, the majority of us weren't thinking long term like that, you know. So we weren't setting up our our 401ks and max funding our Roths and stuff like that. So Yeah.
Money Systems And Owner Perks
SPEAKER_02I've been working with an exit strategist for like two years. And I don't plan to exit for another seven. But and you know, maybe that's something else we bring in as somebody who talks about the exit and what does that look like? Which is really crazy because we're mainly talking about building, like starting even. But it's never too early to talk about the exit. And the more that you plan for the exit from the beginning, the easier it's going to be at the end. Anything else you want to see, Amanda?
SPEAKER_00Everything y'all said sounds good.
SPEAKER_01I love it.
SPEAKER_00I do want to I do want to add that if we if you had not invited your bookkeeper to come and talk, which encouraged me to think about what kind of bookkeeping I had going on with my own clinic, then I would have never known that my bookkeeper was not doing me any favors. Okay. Well, I think that's very common.
SPEAKER_02You hired them because you don't know bookkeeping. But I think what we find in the DPC space is it's hard to find professionals that understand DPC because so many people don't know what DPC is. And so when I found Daniel and he was like, Oh yeah, I know DPC. This is what I do, I was like, wait, I don't have to explain to you everything about this. And that was really eye-opening to me. Um, my CPA also had a clue about DPC. He wasn't an expert, but he was a patient of a DPC, not mine, and still not mine, but that's another story anyway. But now I think we're finding that there are more professionals, there's more marketing agencies, there's more bookkeepers, there's more CPAs that are aware of DPC. And so we shouldn't have to find the one that doesn't know what we do. And Amanda, I'm gonna tell you that's no fault of your own, right? You shouldn't have to know the questions to ask. This is why we hire those experts. And so this is the whole purpose of being in a room with other people who are doing what you do is learning things about it.
SPEAKER_00That's exactly where I was going with that. Was had we not had this opportunity to host this conference, and even as the host, sitting there listening to the talks was in my mind all the time. How can I better my own practice? Like I'm not over here just because I'm part of a team that's putting this thing together does not mean that I've got all my crap together. I don't have anything together. I wasn't even earning frequent flyer miles. I was paying until today. Okay. Thank you, Monica. I'm gonna start flying for cheaper, and maybe I don't have to always fly an economy now on the back row of the plane. Penny, I was Mark and I flew home on the very last row of the plane. Mark had a window seat, but there is no window on the back row. Did you know that? There no, there is no window. So we are because Penny's never sat in the back seat. I don't know where we're yeah, just so you know. Yeah, yeah. So no, well, thank you for that info. I am going to be earning.
SPEAKER_02My point is this is the beauty of being in a room with other people, right? I didn't know that I could use my business and get a credit card that could get me points to be able to travel with my family for free, basically. Like, but as the business owner, you have so much risk in things. You've got to take everything out of it that you can. Can you turn those points into cash back? Sure. But I'm gonna tell you I can get you an airplane flight worth thousands of dollars for those hundreds of dollars they would give you. So, but I learned it from TikTok, right? And now I'm gonna show you how to change the world and go to the lounge so you don't have to listen to terrible Disney movies for two hours while you're waiting for your flight.
Hiring HR And Clinic Walkthroughs
SPEAKER_01Yes, thank you. Well, and I think the other thing that we're gonna bring to 2027 is HR, right? Not just adding staff, really the the HR component of it, why it's time to add staff, how you go about adding staff, making sure that you're doing it the right way.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. Hiring is so huge for all of us, and so I think that needs to be a huge discussion. And then also like the compliance side of HR, like you know, you got to do OSHA training, right? Yep, we do because I med trainer. I sure did ask for forgiveness for on that one for about four years. Cause like, oh, it's fine. It'll be fine. And I was like, oh crap. Oh, I do have to do that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. Med trainer, that's my savior. It gives CEUs and it keeps us all compliant. Right.
SPEAKER_00Well, I'm looking forward to fresh spaces for next year, just reaching out to the western side of the states and those DPC clinics, hoping maybe we can pull some people from the northwest as well down to Austin. That'd be great.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I mean, those people in the northeast and northwest, they're gonna want to come down, they just want to see some sunshine in February. Well, it better not snow in Austin that week then. You know, it's usually like a a late January, early February. And since we're looking at this February 19th-ish through the 21st, write that in your calendar for all those listening. I think I'm gonna hope we're in the clear. So we should be good.
SPEAKER_01Well, and I think the other good thing about coming to our hometowns is that, you know, I opened up my doors last year and let whoever wanted to come come, right? John Rothwell opened up his doors for us this year down in Merritt Island so that if you wanted to go and see what his clinic looks like, great. And I'm sure Monica is gonna be happy to open her doors next year and let us see what her clinic is like. And so, you know, going into each other's clinics gives you a little bit more idea of like, oh gosh, I love how they're doing that. Oh, you know what? We should probably implement that. Or I'm so glad we do it our way and not that way, you know? It just gives you that extra, that vision that we all have that tunnel vision of this is how I do it, this is my clinic space, this is my vision, but it gives us that for that broader view of it. So I love that. And we didn't have that chance on a cruise ship. So thanks, John, for hosting us in your clinic beforehand.
Swag Vision And Final Thanks
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was great. Yeah, there's always room for improvement with everybody's clinic, and we're all going to be able to take pieces of every conference every year and make our own clinics better. So I'm just I'm excited to be a part of just the journey of it all and meeting new people because I mean, eventually we're gonna meet somebody that's gonna be so amazing, like uh Lisa McGarry, that's gonna also have a story to tell that will be a keynote speaker for another time and will encourage other people.
SPEAKER_02So I will say though, we're gonna struggle with the swag because those coffee mugs were epic. I love it so much. It's the right size, it's cute. It's like the pop-on one, so it doesn't have to screw in and don't get you know, carpal tunnel trying to take the lid off. So props to Penny on getting these amazing DPC launch pad coffee mugs, um which are gonna be for sale on the website soon. Oh, I'm I'm buying another one. Just send it to me now.
SPEAKER_01What do you need with two of them? Oh, you can need one for home and one for the office.
SPEAKER_02Silly. Never have enough. It's I really love the size of it because like I have a ton of yetis, perfect, but they're too big, right? I don't need 20 ounces of coffee as much as I do love coffee. But uh yeah, it's just the right size. It is perfect.
SPEAKER_00My one coffee mug pours perfectly into this nail container and it's good, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Nailed it, Penny.
SPEAKER_00Now, my son did steal the highlighter. So well, I've got a case of them.
SPEAKER_01So if you need more, you just let me know. But all the swag is gonna be available on the website, dpclaunchpad.com. So we're getting all of that built up right now. Um, hopefully it should be up within the next week. Love it. Okay. Any closing remarks, Monica?
SPEAKER_00Give me your closing remarks.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I appreciate you two ladies more than you know. Um, I feel very blessed that I am able to help be a part of this amazing movement that is DPC. And I think next year's just gonna be even better. And so I expect everybody, all the NPs, only the badass ones, though. We don't want mediocre people here. You have to be a badass to come.
SPEAKER_00Then I'm thankful that I'm still a part of the team.
SPEAKER_02Except we're not letting you do anything tech related next year.
SPEAKER_00Hey, hey, that this is a journey to you. Your new, your new virtual assistant can do it for you. You know, one day I'm gonna kill it in the IT department, and you're gonna be like, Who is this new Amanda?
SPEAKER_02And you're gonna be like, next year when you're like, I got this, and then you're gonna text your VA and be like, I need speaker applications made on a Google form. Send it to me, and then you're gonna send it to us, and we're like, Amanda, look what you did, and you're gonna be like, Yes, I did.
SPEAKER_00I know we'll take credit for it too.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. I love it, love, love, love it.
SPEAKER_00Who do you think is going to be editing all my podcasts? I mean, the podcast is going to a whole new level because I'm gonna have someone else editing the podcast.
SPEAKER_02Good, amazing.
SPEAKER_00I love it, and he will be Filipino. Or she. Or she, maybe Queenie, not Queenie, but maybe a different person like Queenie. Yeah, Queenie's sister.
SPEAKER_02Or boyfriend, or keeping the family around here.
SPEAKER_01Closing remarks, Penny. Uh, yeah, I think I think our goal truly is to make the DPC launch pad as recognizable in this space as the AA and P annual conference is. We want this to be the premier space for NPs and PAs. We want it to feel inclusive and welcoming, but educational and informative. And we want people to leave ready to hit the ground running and grow this movement so that we can change healthcare in America.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's good. That is our goal. We're here to help other people thrive in this business because by helping others, we will also be thriving because the movement will move across the whole United States. And then before you know it, everybody is gonna say they've heard of a DPC and then we've gotten our job. Then marketing will be a thing of the past because people will just be looking for their DPC clinic.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I look forward to the day when the DPC launch pad doesn't have to show up anymore because opening a DPC is just so easy. You just open your doors, prove to the world how great you are because everybody knows it's gonna be like Target. Everyone's like, Oh yeah, of course I go to Target. Don't you go to Target? Yeah, I go to a DPC. Everybody goes to a DPC. I'm ready for I'm ready for the DPC launch pad to be null and void.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I love that. Which won't happen by next year, but probably not.
SPEAKER_02I don't know how many people are gonna listen to this podcast.
