Dear Black Man, You Good?
Dear Black Man,
You good? Just checking because we know how it is out here!! We got bills to pay, relationships to maintain, and a hell of a lot more on our plates. And all while living in a country that doesn’t even want us here. We all could use a break, some grace, and true community.
Speaking of, we’re a diverse group of Black men who get together to connect, support each other, and have candid conversations about being a Black man (in America). We talk about the good, the bad and the ugly but it’s always love.
Check out an episode, because we all could use some real talk, and it’s definitely a vibe. This is our love letter to Black men. We see you. We hear you. We love you. We are you.
Dear Black Man, You Good?
"Holidaze"... You Good?
On this episode, the group reflects on their feelings of grief, loss and joy during the holiday season. They discuss the different ways they navigate family, the pressure of gift giving and how as adults they began to make their own holiday traditions.
Marvin also gives tips on how to establish healthy boundaries with difficult loved ones.
Remember that the holidays are the time of the year where people are potentially experiencing various emotions, take time for yourself to validate these feelings and give yourself compassion. Black man we see you, we hear you, we love you, we are you.
