Dear Black Man, You Good?
Dear Black Man,
You good? Just checking because we know how it is out here!! We got bills to pay, relationships to maintain, and a hell of a lot more on our plates. And all while living in a country that doesn’t even want us here. We all could use a break, some grace, and true community.
Speaking of, we’re a diverse group of Black men who get together to connect, support each other, and have candid conversations about being a Black man (in America). We talk about the good, the bad and the ugly but it’s always love.
Check out an episode, because we all could use some real talk, and it’s definitely a vibe. This is our love letter to Black men. We see you. We hear you. We love you. We are you.
Dear Black Man, You Good?
Bro, Are You Really Good Though?
On this episode of the podcast, the guys start off talking about the rap beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. They discuss the entertainment aspect of it, but also the potential harm that sometimes follows.
They then move to talking about their own current mental health struggles, the harm of holding in emotions, and how they deal with negative emotions. Black men typically have many obligations and responsibilities, but are also comfortable saying "I'm good" when we're truly not and we unpack it!
Tune in and also feel free to reflect on your own mental health, because we can all be doing more to take care of ourselves. Also, remember to 'like,' share, subscribe, and follow us on Instagram!
