Ringing In 2025 With Film Producer and Music Lover, John “Johnny Gowanus” Hennegan
Kicking off Season 4 and ringing in 2025 with a cool cat that has widened my musical lens TENFOLD, Mr. John “Johnny Gowanus” Hennegan.
Although I’ve known John since the early 80’s and we’ve run with the same group of guys over the years, I had zero clue just how broad his taste in music is, so a big shoutout to Erik “Swede” Larson for suggesting I invite John to be a guest on GD&F in the first place! You were 100% right, Swede!
John reminded me just how much Run DMC and The Beastie Boys can rock the house, and he introduced me to names like Fugazi, and LCD Soundsystem, neither of which I had ever even heard of but glad I know now.
John also happens to be one of the only people that I know who grew up in and around the horseracing industry. Learn how John and his wingman, his brother Brad, have created epic films covering topics including the world’s toughest footrace, Badwater 135, and Masters of Mini Golf, and The World Beard and Mustache Championship to name a few.
