It's Sunday night and Froggy Valley 100.1 is spotlighting the best local, regional, and national up-and-coming recording artists. This is Soundcheck with Chase and Minnie Hopper on WFBY 11 in Hershey, Harrisburg. Froggy Valley 100.1.
SPEAKER_05We're about to kick off a wonderful Sunday night here on Froggy Valley 100.1 in the My Froggy Valley app, powered by Radio Novo. Welcome to Soundcheck. I am Chase.
SPEAKER_08Hey y'all, I'm Minnie. Thanks for coming into our home as we introduce you to our local, regional, and national up and coming country musicians.
SPEAKER_05Tonight we have a national country musician that was born, raised north of the border in Canada, now resides in New York, and she has given her music career a new jump start.
SPEAKER_08We are going to introduce you to Robbie Hart coming up. But make yourself at home, grab a drink of your choice, get a snack, and we are kicking off Soundcheck with Chase and Minnie on her latest single, Out of Time, on Froggy Valley 100.1 and the My Froggy Valley app, powered by Radio Novo.
SPEAKER_13All the plans you had in the back of your mind. And there's a long dream list of all the chances lost and the things you missed while you were barely getting by. So you stop trying. The strength you found, you throw the hunter stone. Everything you need is keep inside. Just wait to come alive.
SPEAKER_08That was Robbie Hart with Out of Time on Soundcheck with Chase and Minnie on Froggy Valley 100.1 and the My Froggy Valley app, powered by Radio Novo.
SPEAKER_05And we are so excited to have Robbie Hart here on this Sunday night. Robbie, thank you so much for being a part of the Soundcheck family.
SPEAKER_09Thank you so much for having me. It's great to be here.
SPEAKER_05It's great to have you aboard here on a Sunday night. First thing we gotta ask you, I know, with you being up in New York, being a New Yorker, New York folks, you know how it is. They kind of stand out in the crowd with that accent that they have. Is there any one word that you say that you have developed that New York accent at all?
SPEAKER_09Coffee.
SPEAKER_05Oh, that's a good one.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, I think that's it. But I don't quite fit in just as Long Is you know, my typical Long Island accent, but I kind of made a hybrid accent myself.
SPEAKER_05So Yeah, that was pretty good, many coffee. That was that was pretty good. That was really good. All right, Robbie, give us a little background on how you got started here in your music career and also how you've really been reinventing yourself here musically again.
SPEAKER_09Thank you. So it was always my dream to be a singer ever since I was a little girl. I always expressed myself through music and song. Music was my best friend, my confidant growing up, and it was always how I told my stories and how I expressed whatever I was going through. I always planned to pursue a career in music later on when I was gonna be settled ultimately one day. Uh unfortunately, uh that didn't happen quite that way. Uh several years ago, I moved to New York to get married, and about a year later I had a severe injury, and between my injury and my pain, I was not able to sing anymore. So it was the first time in my life that I lost my ability to sing and my dream to sing was taken off the table. And this persisted for several years. And during this process, I completely lost sight of who I was as a person, and I was really just becoming a shadow of who I used to be. And I felt like I was never gonna realize my dream, and it was really, really difficult. And then at the same time, I had been training when I was injured. So my daughter was growing up alongside of me during these years I was injured, and I realized that my daughter never knew the person I was before I was injured, she only knew me in this current state. And I couldn't bear to think that she would only know me like this. I had so much life before, I was such a go-getter, and so much energy and presence, and the idea of just being crumpled up on the couch and letting life defeat me wasn't how I wanted my daughter to see me. And at that moment, I just decided that I was gonna pursue my dream to sing no matter how difficult. Because I wanted to teach her as she was growing up that when you fall down or when you have bad luck, you just dust yourself up and you get back up and you keep on going. So, as unlikely a time as it was, I decided to pursue my dream to sing. Even though I had a disability, I could barely walk. I was in like excruciating pain for several years. I just made this my mission, and as soon as I declared it to the world, it's like the world completely opened up to me. And it was amazing. It was such a good experience for me because not only did it teach me so much about myself, and I gained my voice back, and it was better and stronger than it ever was before. And ironically, when I was young and healthy, I didn't pursue my dream because I always thought there was gonna be time and I always doubted my abilities, and then I had to wait until something, you know, terrible happened and said, you know, this is my now or never, and if I don't take this chance, I'm never gonna have a chance.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, the perseverance that you have and your story alone is something magical, and that's one reason why we have you here on the show, just to introduce not only your story, but the amazing music that you have overcome to uh get to the point in the career where you're at uh musically right now.
SPEAKER_09Thank you. You know, it's a really incredible thing. Resilience is something that isn't a recurring theme in my music and in my journey because there's setbacks, there's difficult times, but we all face those at different levels and at different times in our lives. We all experience setbacks and and obstacles to overcome. But you realize that once you do that, you feel like you're invincible and you can do anything.
SPEAKER_08Who would you say are some of the folks that you looked up to and really got you into your music career?
SPEAKER_09Oh, there's so many, but um my mom introduced me to music when I was a young girl. That was definitely somebody that had a big impact on me musically. But if we're looking at somebody who's like an artist, it would definitely be Roy Orbison. Not only is he my favorite voice, you know, you talk about perseverance and going through adversity after adversity and still reinventing himself. I mean, he went through adversities and and his family members passing away, his child passing away, his house burning down, and then he went back out, reinvented himself. He was still so humble, and then at the very end, you know, reinventing himself once more with the traveling Wilbur. And to me, that was such an incredible and powerful example of the type of artist I would strive to be because amazingly talented individual, but the perseverance and the humility really to me are the most appealing parts of his persona.
SPEAKER_05And the the ability to basically get back on that saddle again for both of you is really, really encouraging to other musicians that are out there that may be going through the same thing, maybe challenging uh them, maybe in some different ways, but the stories that you both have with not only Roy Orbison and also yourself pretty incredible stuff.
SPEAKER_09Thank you. You know, I I have to say I'm very fortunate that I've always been a relatively optimistic person. I've always been a glass half full kind of person. I've always looked at the bright side. I don't tend to wallow in self-pity. I mean, like I'm human, so sometimes I'll I'll lament for about a minute and then I'll be like, okay, that's enough. Let's move on. You know, I need a good cry or a good scream or a good power ballad, and then it's time to move on. But I'm very, very fortunate that I always have that keep going mindset.
SPEAKER_13You don't know where I'm from. I forwards no bound. But virtue and grace keep my feet on the ground. It's the glab from darkness and the day makes me come along. All this bad thing's got feelings, but dust on the floor. Dust the air, but the bird that gave me the floor. You see me clearly not the same about the fall If you feel like you can't get through Come on over child Walk with some swagger, dance to your blues A fancy feeling kind of This and it's level, this and the blame Bates we gonna lie, this the boat means Oh this on the floor Dust the flood to the fall To the store You'll see the clean leaf of the table but the fall Little speaking that I face with the front What's down me I don't feel at the fire The level from the darkness and the pain fixed the color to it the foot the big full All this bad next to the floor Just the axe off the floor that gave the floor Through the stove You'll see the cling the foot to it the foot the dick All this bad next year Liddy still just on the floor Just the top the axe off the fleet I came the floor Through the stove you'll see the cling Not the same I was before I'm not the same I was before This is Soundcheck with Chase and Minnie Hopper on Froggy Valley 100.1 and on the My Froggy Valley app powered by Radio Novo Rushing as we boost full of sight Somebody's whisper can see My imperfections for all this thing all else can see the boom stuff when you start the day of face She told me scan told the running your name Get up when you fall down eating Don't need a movie that's not what I'm done with the window on the face Bummy have my father's danger with the bed of the free to all these keys Everything's different now I love the beauty and no dispatch beauty that's long that I can bring the mansion on with the when you start Did you get on the buddy to be a bird I have my father's eyes Yeah, my mama's daughter to love these eyes Yeah mama started a standard If you are just joining us we are joined by New York-based musician Robbie Hart here on SoundTech with Chase and Minnie on Froggy Valley 100.1 and the My Froggy Valley app.
SPEAKER_05Now you're currently residing up in New York, originally from Canada, Robbie. You do go back and play some shows, some festivals in Canada. Just talk about the country music scene alone up there in Canada versus what you're dealing with here in the States.
SPEAKER_09It's gotta be completely different. It's completely different, but it's hopping, it's growing. I mean, country music everywhere is on the rise. It's on the rise everywhere in the UK, in the US, in Canada, all over. Everybody's loving the country music, it's having such a good moment right now, which I'm so happy about. Um but even in Canada, the country music is amazing, it's a little bit different, but I love it. I go I go back home to different parts of Canada and I get to experience country music, and it's like it's storytelling, it's it's amazing. I I love the Canadiana like we have American and we have Canadian. Canadiana It's a real thing, it's a real thing. I'm not making it up. It's amazing, you know. It's it's really amazing. I think it really speaks into the country way of life. It's amazing, and like I said, there's such a period of growth right now. Every time I go back home, there's country music everywhere. So I love it.
SPEAKER_08When you overcame your injury and you were ready to pursue your music career again, you had a lot of doubt, but a ton of confidence that you could do it again. How did you convince yourself that you could really do this again?
SPEAKER_09Um that's a great question. But let me just clarify I knew I wanted to do it, I had zero confidence. But I knew that I had no choice. I knew it was now or never. I knew I knew that the alternative was living with regret, and I wasn't gonna do that. There was no way I was gonna do that. So I had zero confidence. In fact, I was absolutely certain I was gonna get left off the stage, holding onto curtains, walking with the cage, literally hobbling up the stage. I was certain people were gonna tell me to go home. Like, you know, what are you doing here? And that wasn't my experience at all. So the confidence really came with putting myself out there and making a declaration and saying, I'm doing this, I'm doing this for me, I'm doing this, I'm doing this so I can be a good role model for my daughter, because that was really important for me. And because I knew why I was doing it, it didn't matter to me if other people didn't like what I was doing, it mattered to me if I went out there and did my best so I can say, this is what it looks like when mom does her best, because I wanted her to know that sometimes she's gonna do things that are gonna be very hard, and other people might not like or appreciate them, but I wanted her to know that we go out there and we do our best and we do it for ourselves, and I wanted her to be proud, and that was the most incredible motivator. And every single time I got back up on stage, and every single time I got to connect with people and thinking for people, my confidence grew because I knew that this wasn't something I was doing, this is who I am, and the difference was this isn't me, this is who it's always who I've always been. I'm just finally stepping into that person.
SPEAKER_08We are going to take our first break, and we will be right back with more from Robbie Hart and the amazing music she is making right here on Soundcheck with Jace and Minnie on Froggy Valley 100.1 and the My Froggy Valley app powered by Radio Novo.

SPEAKER_05It's all powered by Radio Novo. We are joined by Canada born New York-based musician Robbie Hart here this week. Was was that country music genre always your go-to, Robbie?
SPEAKER_09No. I mean I always loved country music. I always did, I mean, ever since I was young. But I experimented with pop, not so much pop, more like RB pop, Celindon pop, I'm not gonna lie. Celindion girl here from Montreal. There you go, yeah, of course. It's hard, you know. I grew up listening to her so much, and there's so many amazing talented Canadian artists that I grew up listening to that weren't in the country genre, and and uh 50s music, 60s music, 90s rock, and pop rock. So I really do love music as a whole, but country music is really what's in my heart and what speaks to me.
SPEAKER_05Your new single, Out of Time, it is kind of propelling you into the summer and the busy summer that you have ahead. Talk about some of those festivals, the shows you're gonna be playing this summer. You just played a huge one up there in New York this past weekend. Uh just talk about some of the shows you got coming up and also the Montauk music festival that had about a hundred artists on hand this past weekend, too.
SPEAKER_09Oh, thank you so much. It's been amazing. Um, so as far as the upcoming shows, I there's nothing that I can actually share just yet, but I'm hoping to be able to share very soon. So when once the ink dries, I will be happy to share with you guys. And I will share it on my socials and on my website, so do keep an eye out for that. Um, that as far as last weekend, it was absolutely incredible at the Montauk Music Festival. It was just surreal. You know, we talked about earlier how I didn't think I'd ever be able to sing again and you know, wondered how I was gonna get up on stage. I got to play at seven different shows in three days, which is absolutely mind-blowing. Different venues from small venues, restaurant venues to incredible yacht club venues on the water, like absolutely mind-blowing. And then the main stage, which was just such a thrill to be up there and play. But for me, either stage is just as special because it's an opportunity for me to hear my music and to connect with the fans. Obviously, the bigger stage is a fun experience because it's a huge stage and there's lots of people. But the smaller venues are amazing because I get to talk to the fans after the show and I get to hear their stories, I get to hear where they're from, and we get to talk about what songs that they connected over. And that is so much fun for me. So it was absolutely incredible. I got to meet so many amazing artists, fans. I got to see artists that I've known for years that hadn't seen in a while. It was just amazing. And the best part was um lately I've been touring quite a bit, and my family hasn't been able to join me because of their commitments, but my husband and daughter were able to be there with me for this uh festival, and they were in the audience, and they were there. We got to spend the downtime together, which was absolutely incredible because my family's everything for me. So it's really important that I get to spend time with them, and I actually get to have the best of both worlds. You know, I get to do the music thing, which is my passion, and I get to spend time with my family, which is absolutely amazing. So it was an incredible time.
SPEAKER_06Frog T Valley 100.1 is bringing you the best local, regional, and national up and comers right to your radio every week. This is Soundcheck with Chase and Minnie Hopper.
SPEAKER_13Walking through the front door like I'm never winning away.
SPEAKER_11Get ready for it! Sound check with Chase and Minnie. It's Minnie's hopping good time.
SPEAKER_07We're asking your favorite stars three questions totally random every time.
SPEAKER_12So get ready to jump on in for Minnie's Hopping Good Time on Froggy Valley 100.1.
SPEAKER_05Alright, Robbie. Hopefully you're ready.
SPEAKER_09Oh my gosh. I'm ready. What do you got, Minnie?
SPEAKER_08Alright, our first question of Minnie's Hoppin' Good Time is with you being in New York, what was the last Broadway show you saw?
SPEAKER_09Ooh, okay, that's a great question. And I think that was Hamilton. Yes. That should have been the last one that I saw. It was amazing, by the way.
SPEAKER_05I think you're lucky that she uh actually likes Broadway.
SPEAKER_09Oh my gosh, yes, and my daughter loves Broadway too. It's something we love to do.
SPEAKER_05That question would have been a bust if she did it. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_08Alright, question two. Tell me about the Canadian maple syrup. Is that a real thing? And if it is, is it really what it is drummed up to be?
SPEAKER_09Oh, it's a real thing. It's a real thing, and you need to experience it. You know, if you get the opportunity to go to a sugar shock or like an NSU, like in I think it's like March when they start to have like a little bit of thaw. They take the syrup right out of the tree and they put it on snow, and you eat it with a popsicle stick right out of the tree. It's absolutely incredible. You need to try it. It is absolutely everything they say it is, and it's delicious.
SPEAKER_05So it's the real deal, huh? It's the real deal.
SPEAKER_09Yes.
SPEAKER_08Delicious. Yes. Our third and final question. What is your favorite Canadian food item that you can't find here in the United States? Ooh, that's easy. French fries from Quebec.
SPEAKER_05No, no, are they better than like Chick-fil-A french fries?
SPEAKER_09Sorry, Chick-fil-A. I'm sorry, Chick-fil-A. I'm a few.
SPEAKER_05Robbie Hart's not coming your way.
SPEAKER_09No, you know what? I have to tell you, our family does love Chick-fil-A, so I'm not gonna say anything bad about them because I do really love them and I I applaud them and their food and their family friendliness, and I love their menu because we we are gluten-free and we could always find something to eat there. So I'm very grateful for that. Um but there's these two French fries in Quebec. I don't know if I can use the the store name because I don't know if you're allowed to do that, but they're so amazing. The potatoes, they I think they fry them like three times. They boil them and fry them. They're so amazing. Every single time that they go back home, I have to go to this restaurant at least three times. Wow. Yes. And my parents don't even ask me, they're like, You're gonna go there today for lunch and I do. I'm like, Yes, I am. They're amazing. I got my husband hooked, my daughter hooked. We love it.
SPEAKER_05So they're they're three times unhealthy as regular French fries, is what you're saying.
SPEAKER_09They're so good. I don't know if they're three times or two times. My dad told me that the reason they're so good is because they fry them like I think twice or something like that. But they're so delicious. They're like almost brown color when you get them. They're like a brownish color. They're not like I can't even explain it. I don't even know how. Now, most people that go to Quebec and eat fries, eat pizza, which is like fries with barbecue sauce, hot barbecue sauce, and melted cheese on top. But I don't do the sauce or the cheese, I just want the fries. Do these fries need ketchup with them? Or no ketchup? Oh no, no ketchup needed. I mean, my daughter likes them with ketchup, I won't judge her for that, you know.
SPEAKER_05But it's turning into like her own little cooking show now. Forget about the sound check with Jason Minipart. We're just we're just diving into the food part.
SPEAKER_09You didn't ask me my favorite hobby, because my other favorite hobby other than music is food. So, you know, you're talking to the right person right here. Let's talk food all day. I'm good.
SPEAKER_05Bobby, when you think of the folks that really inspired you to get back to your music career, who would you say had the biggest impact on you?
SPEAKER_09It's definitely my daughter. A hundred percent was my daughter, you know. I wanted to be a good role model for her. I wanted her to look up to me and be like, that's my mom. You know, and it was really hard for me because during this time that I was talking about earlier, I was crumpled up on the couch. Her and her dad would go out on bike rides, they go to see the movies, they go to the park. And I often couldn't join them and do any of those things. And I was literally just existing. And I was always such a vibrant person before. I was always so outgoing and I loved to do things, and this wasn't me, you know, just taking a backseat and watching them live life. I really wanted to be part of that life. I wanted to be contributing to the experiences with the with my daughter and my husband and really be part of it. And it was really hard. And you know, when you're in severe pain and you have limitations, it's really hard to do things that make you physically uncomfortable. But I so badly wanted to be there with them and to do things with them and for them to see me other than just on the couch. So that was absolutely the biggest motivation. You know, my daughter was the biggest motivation for me. She was growing up, and I was growing into who I am at the same time. So it was kind of interesting that the timing with that, you know, my journey started, she was about seven or eight years old, and we were like growing up together, you know, because I was coming into my own, and she was just growing up. So it was just really amazing. We were encouraging one another, and it was just a beautiful experience.
SPEAKER_05When you're sitting down and writing that original music, we were always intrigued by musicians that write their songs from beginning to end because it really is an art form. We say it all the time here on the show. Just talk about that aspect for you when you do sit down and write that original music for you.
SPEAKER_09Thank you. I have to agree, it's an incredible process. When you think about how it starts off with a word or a line or a hum or a teeny bit of a melody, and it comes out to be this powerful anthem, right, that people are chanting all over. It is an incredible experience. Uh for me, my music usually starts off with like lyrics and melody together. It's rare that I just come out with a lyric and then I have to kind of come up with a melody. They usually come in together and I'm usually singing words with a melody, and then I build off of that. Um, and in the event where I'm co-writing, let's say with my producer Matt, we will I will present him what I'm working on, and I'll say, This is what I have in mind, and we'll build off of that together, uh, or we'll just throw out an idea together and start co-writing it together. But usually um for me myself, it comes out as a mus as a lyric with a melody. Sometimes when we're co-writing, we'll come out with just a lyric and we'll toss around some melodies or we'll, you know, modify it a little bit to fit the song. But I personally love to come out with it with this lyric and melody together. It just I don't know how I do it, it just does. Uh it just comes out that way sometimes and most of the time, and I love it. Um, I'm trying to think of a better way to describe it because sometimes it's like a song that I've heard a hundred times and I'm just singing along to, but it's really just something that I thought of. And especially like this last song that I released, which is Out of Time, really came out that way and I was writing it in my head, and I'm going around singing it. I'm like, Am I sure I haven't heard this song before? Like, I feel like I've heard this song. But it really at this point, it really wasn't that I heard the song, is I really knew the story, right? I knew the story and heard the story before. Um I'm very fortunate that I am blessed to hear the melody and the lyrics together, but a lot of the composition takes place with my producer, he does the arrangement, so I'll, you know, provide him with the melody and he'll bring the song to actual life, which is absolutely incredible. Because where I have uh limitations in expressing exactly how I want the music to sound, I'll explain it to him and it's like almost he's he's in my head and he'll actually bring it to life, which is really, really amazing.
SPEAKER_05It's almost like when you're on your phone and you're thinking about something and it sort of pops up on your Facebook page and you're like, How did I know that? How did I know that?
SPEAKER_08That was exactly what he was doing because he was before this, he was like, Oh, I'm gonna quick look at Robbie Hart. And the first thing that pops up on Facebook is Robbie Hart.
SPEAKER_05Before we came on the show here on a Sunday night, I always like to do my research and just make sure I didn't miss anything. Uh, you know, pregaming and getting warmed up for the show. I said, I'm gonna go to Robbie Hart's Facebook page, and as soon as I went up there, there was a post right there from you. So it's kind of crazy. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_09It is crazy how that happens, right? But it's funny you say that because I noticed that so many times. I'll be thinking, like, I could really go for a cheeseburger right now, and then all of a sudden there's an ad for cheeseburger with fries. I'm like, how do you know?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that makes you hungry for more things.
SPEAKER_09Exactly. 100%. And then you need to get the the milkshake and the coffee ads as well.
SPEAKER_10We will be back with Sound Check with Chase and Minnie. On Froggy Valley 100.1. And the My Froggy Valley.

SPEAKER_08How cool was that?
SPEAKER_09Absolutely incredible. I feel so honored and so blessed to have received that award. Uh unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to physically attend the show that day. And so that was a little bit of a heartbreak that I wasn't able to, you know, go up in the winner's circle and claim the award. But what was really, really special was that in the audience there were so many artists who were at the event who were texting me and messaging me because they could see that I wasn't there to let me know that I won. So even though I wasn't there, there were people there cheering for me, which was absolutely amazing. And it really made me feel so special because I couldn't be there. And I was a little bit sad that I couldn't be there, but it felt so nice knowing that there were people there cheering for me at the venue and uh letting me know about that and sending me little videos of them announcing my name. So it was really special.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, even though you weren't there, it was almost like you were there because you were certainly getting texts all the time from other folks.
SPEAKER_09I have to tell you, it was like a Sunday night. I'm at home and I'm doing something and my phone's dinging like crazy. And I'm like, Am I in a group text here? Is there something going on? And then I'm getting all these random messages, some on Facebook Messenger, some on like actual text messages, and it's like, what's going on? And I'm like, oh my god, I want a Josie. And I started shrieking out loud, and I'm like, Are you sure? Can you show me a picture? Like proof of life? I don't know. I don't want proof, but it was amazing. It was just a wonderful feeling. And like I said, you know, as an artist, the artist community is amazing.
SPEAKER_06Before they were superstars, they were hometown stars.
SPEAKER_13It's soundcheck with Chase and Minnie on Froggy Valley 100.10 on the tea in a little cafe, a million months away. I was in the east. When we're looking like that, when it's story when it's not a fee. Could it switch each other? That was the way I was supposed to be. Oh, don't day, let's do it. There was love on the sun, that it's treat. It was dead to me. Let's do it.1 and the My Froggy Valley at Powered by Radio Novo.
SPEAKER_08What else is coming up for you this year? More music, maybe a new album?
SPEAKER_09Oh wow. There are so many things I'd love to do for the rest of this year. One of the things that I'm really, really interested to do more of is the touring and traveling and connecting with more people, listeners, and just sharing the positive message as much as I can and go as many places as I can to the communities who have been supporting me from the very beginning, and even the communities who've just joined and started to support my music as well. To me, that's extremely important because the people is my favorite part of doing the music journey, meeting people, getting to hear their stories, getting to connect. That is my absolute favorite part of being a musician. So I hope to be able to do that more, whether it's at small venues, big venues, festivals, big stage opening for huge artists, who knows, whatever the future holds. But I would hope to be able to connect with more people and do more performing live and and more touring. But I would love to do an album. One of the challenges isn't the desire. It's like I mentioned earlier, you know, being an independent artist and not having the benefit of the budget of a labeled artist. I have to be more mindful about how I choose my priorities and where I place the emphasis, you know, because I if I only have one budget, I can choose to go meet the people and connect with the people, which for me is really important. Or record more music or do an album, you know, which is also something I really, really want to do. I have so many stories that I think would make an incredible body of work and I think that it would really help a lot of people, and it would just be something fun to put out. But again, looking at the priorities and saying if I tour or if I write an album, you know, you can't always do all of them at the same time. So you have to try to figure out like the way um what at the moment is gonna bring me the most joy and really to connect with the most people because for me it's all about the connection.
SPEAKER_08We have been having a blast here getting to know New York-based musician Robbie Hart. Robbie, this is the part of the video where you get to be the radio DJ and you get to tell us your top three mainstream country songs and why you selected those. Let's start off with number three.
SPEAKER_09Ooh, number three. Okay, I have to remember which one that was. Okay. Number three would be Tell You Can't by Cody Johnson.
SPEAKER_05Good one.
SPEAKER_09Entertainer of the year, I think. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Entertainer of the year and male country artists of the year.
SPEAKER_09You know, and you would talk about overcoming and and and going through stuff and change and evolution. I mean, his story is absolutely amazing. Um this song really resonates with me at my core. You know, my message, it's so aligned with me and my message and the positivity and the and the take take the chance because you don't know, right? And I feel like that's such an important message. But I just turn on the song in my car and listening to it in my room. It just takes me to another place and it just makes me feel absolutely amazing. It's just it takes me at my core because it reminds me how precious life is, and not to put off those amazing moments that we want to do in our life because we don't know, right? We don't know what tomorrow brings. So you can.
SPEAKER_08And what is song number two?
SPEAKER_09Okay, well, that will be Love and On You by Lou Combs.
SPEAKER_05Another good song.
SPEAKER_09I have to apologize to the ladies of country music because I only chose male songs, and it has nothing to do with the fact that there's some incredible female country artists who I absolutely adore. But these three songs are on my playlist for a reason because every time I turn on my playlist, they just elevate my mood instantly. These songs just put a spring in my step like I can't even explain. You know, they touch me at my soul level, and I think that there's something so special about that.
SPEAKER_05All right, Robbie, we are up to number one. We're gonna do a little drum roll here for you. And song number one is done, Red Jurt Road. Oh, yeah, that's a good one. Classic.
SPEAKER_09Yeah, that mandolin just takes me every time. It just takes me out. Um just such a great nostalgic song. It's just such a fun song, great nostalgia, and the vocals. I mean, you can't go wrong with that song.
SPEAKER_05Perfect top three songs, Robbie. Well done.
SPEAKER_09Thank you. Thank you so much. I hope you all enjoy those three songs. And like I said, they all take me somewhere special, and I hope that you enjoy it.
SPEAKER_08Robbie, thank you so much for being a part of the Sound Check with Kids and Mini Pam. You are such an inspiration and making some amazing country music. Best of luck the rest of the way.
SPEAKER_09Thank you so much for having me. It's been an absolute pleasure to be here with you guys, and it's so great to see you. Thank you so much for your support.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, and a big thank you out to Wertz Candies for supplying that amazing caramel corn uh to our guests here in studio.
