SPEAKER_18

Jenny said her boyfriend's friends are all on booking, but he's always spending more time with them. And when it comes to loving, Tina said her husband's never in the mood except when she isn't. And Heaven said she thinks that her man is a real catch. When they're not here, let it argue when I just laugh and take a look around. Another eye opening, girl's not out. When my girl's a late, them in a drive and them insane. Just wanna bitch about them all damn days. I can't relate. They can't keep the romance alive. They no longer feel the butterflies. All I can think is how lucky am I? I can't relate My man has his moments, but he's devoted, doing everything he can to treat me right. Won't take it for granted. So I'm a land in a diamond and the rock, the last good guy. What I've got I'm blessed, I know It's times like these, it really shows. I can't relate. They can keep the promise alive. They no longer feel the butterflies. All I can think is how lucky am I? I can't relate. All I can think is how lucky am I? I can't relate. All I can think is how lucky am I, I can't relay. When my girls can play, then I drop a device. I can't relay. They can't keep the promise alive. Then I'll do the other life. All I can think is that the kid I can't relay. We're my girlfriend.

unknown

I can't relay.

SPEAKER_11

That was Stephanie Grace with Can't Relate on Soundcheck with Chase and Minnie here on Froggy Valley 100.1.

SPEAKER_07

Let's welcome to the show this Sunday night. A musician that needs absolutely zero introduction, one of our favorite people here in Central PA. Stephanie Grace, thanks for joining us here in studio. Last time we talked was right before the CPMA Awards, if you do remember in March, where you were up for best female country artists. We got a lot to catch up on since then. How have you been? You ready for the summer?

SPEAKER_16

So, so good. Everything's been great. Thanks for having me, by the way. It's great to catch up with you guys again. A lot has happened since the CPMA. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Now you are you ready for the holiday weekend next weekend, too?

SPEAKER_16

I think so. Yes. My band and I were hopping in my drummer's truck, and we are driving four hours to Punk Sitawney for a big Fourth of July celebration. So we'll be playing their festival in the park and um you know ringing in the 4th of July. So it's gonna be a fun show.

SPEAKER_07

I'm hoping the truck has air conditioning, not like our studios here, that the air conditioning went out yesterday.

SPEAKER_16

So yeah, it's a little toasty. It's a little toasty. I'm used to being hot in front of a microphone, though, you know. Like we play those 90 degree shows in the middle of July. I'm I'm used to it.

SPEAKER_07

That's a good way to put it, Steph. It's about 150 degrees here in the studio. We got one fan running. We're gonna get through this show here tonight on this Sunday. Let's kick off the show, though, Steph, with telling folks the backstory of your amazing career that just basically has come to fruition here in Central PA for you.

SPEAKER_16

Thank you. Yeah, so I have been singing a very long time. I grew up in Douglasville, and which is a small town between Pottstown and Reading, and my parents really embraced the fact that I wanted to sing, even though we have zero musical background in my family, so they definitely had to research and um just do their best to be the supportive parents they have been, and it's really paid off because uh my dad took me down to Nashville by the age of 14, I was recording my own music by the age of 15, um, we found uh songwriters I could work with, we found bandmates to call my band, and it's all just kind of expanded over the last 15 years. So uh yeah, it's great. I I enjoyed um just getting to play my music for people, it's a blessing. So it's it's been an amazing journey, and everyone in PA has truly embraced what I've been what I've been doing.

SPEAKER_11

Talk about some of the moments from your career early on that really stand out to you and have had the most impact on your musical career.

SPEAKER_16

Well, I feel like I'm kind of famous for this moment. I know we talked about it. You know what moment I'm gonna talk about. Let's just get it out of the way, you know, because I am known as that little girl in the picture with Taylor Smith back uh in 2007, I think it was. Uh Taylor Smith came to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She was just getting her start, and so therefore she was quite approachable at that time. So um I got to meet her, and getting to perform one in front of such a huge crowd. I think there were 40,000 people there. I was nine years old, and I remember crying backstage because I was really scared. I didn't think I could do it. Uh but I got up there and I did it. Um and Taylor sort of saw me and was like, who is that little girl up there? So I got to meet her, and that definitely shaped the kind of artist I wanted to be very early on because I was inspired by how she treated her fans. She treated them like they were her best friend, and I watched that, and that has inspired me to just want to make anyone who wanted to support my music my best friend because that means so much to me. And her approach to just how real her songwriting is, that was something that definitely inspired me early on. And she directly told me to start writing your own songs when I was nine. I had no clue how to write a song, but I took my little diary entries from uh from after school, all the drama I'd write about in the third and fourth grade.

SPEAKER_07

Which there were probably a lot of them back then.

SPEAKER_16

Oh goodness, like it's the end of the world, you know, and your best friends mean to you, or the boy you like doesn't talk, whatever, you know. Um so I was writing about all that stuff and turned them into songs, and to this day that's what I do. So that was definitely a moment early on in my career that's uh shaped who I am even today.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, a pretty memorable moment for you alone, but now I mean you have come full circle pretty much since that moment. And for folks that are just joining us too, Taylor Swift's gonna get inducted into the CPMA Hall of Fame here coming up next year. So CPMA has just put out your picture hanging with Taylor Swift when you were at the ripe age of nine years old over on social media. So it is a memorable moment, but you have now come to fruition with your own sound, your own music here in Central PA now.

SPEAKER_16

Thank you. Yeah, I mean that picture was taken twenty years ago, and in the last 20 years I've put out quite a few of my own songs. I've developed kind of my own country pop style, kind of like she did early on, and and my lyrics I just like she did early on. I I try to make them very relatable to everybody. And um, it's just been neat to see the way people have embraced what I'm singing about.

SPEAKER_07

And it's pretty amazing the way your career has now formed since that day, you know, hanging out with Taylor Swift to now. I mean, you have been back and forth to Nashville numerous times, recording down in Nashville. How is that experience recording down there in Music City for you?

SPEAKER_16

Music City is incredible. Every person you talk to, whether it is your producer or the person um, you know, serving your drinks where you go to lunch, break, you know, um, everyone's talented. Every single person. And to be surrounded by that is quite a blessing. Um Ken Royster is the producer I worked with, um, can't relate, which you just heard, and um not to my current single, and then I have a new single I'll release that I'll be releasing in a couple weeks uh that he also produced, and he also produced Luke Combs, and I think 20 other number one hits. So you hear that, and it's like these are the people I am working with, and it's nerve-wracking and exciting. Um but also you just you learn so much, you kind of become a sponge, and you just want to ask all the questions and observe and take it all in, and that's kind of the coolest part about being a national is how much you can learn and then bring back to Pennsylvania.

SPEAKER_11

One thing we love about you is your high energy. Watching you perform makes me tired. Talk about that high energy you bring to every performance.

SPEAKER_16

Thank you so much. I thoroughly enjoy the moments I get on stage. Um, I kind of become a different person. And I just like to have a blast. I I enjoy jumping and dancing, and I'm not a very good dancer. If you ask anybody close to me, uh but the second I'm on stage, I'm dancing. And uh it's just it's important to me that people watch me and are like they just think she's having the best time. You know, that's that's what I want people to take away from the show because if we're having fun up on stage, most likely watching, they're gonna have fun too.

SPEAKER_06

So Fronti Valley 100.1 is bringing you the best local, regional, and national up-and-comers right to your radio every week. This is Soundcheck with Chase and Minnie Hopper.

SPEAKER_18

Do you ever have one of those days when you just feel ugly? Look in the mirror and wanna run away. My hair, my skin, my weight, my face. I could pick myself apart all day, all day Afraid of what they'd say. I can't find myself home and my wallet's empty. My boyfriend ticked at me, and I don't know why. Can eat, can think, can slip, can't breathe. Cause time keeps slipping and died. I don't wanna get out of bed on Monday. Monday, boy, I know it's Friday, Friday. The weekend just fly by Then I do it all again. I'm still alive.

SPEAKER_17

At the end of the day, I can't complain today.

SPEAKER_18

Life's okay that's fun coming up out on the horizon And it's okay Helping me, it's great, heart, heart, it's a laugh I've never tried, never train, never tread Even though I don't wanna get on Monday, Monday quiet Can I do it? Ever have one of those days when you just feel ugly Look in the way I don't wanna get out of bed on a Monday, Monday, but I know it's Friday, Friday, we can just last Friday Can I do it on the cannon I can the best up-and-coming artist every Sunday night with Soundcheck with Chase and Minnie Hopper on Froggy Valley 100.1 Wasn't long ago I was on my own, seeing couples like us, being all cute and stuck. Never thought I could be that lucky. Find someone who'd really love me, but I did. I'm still shocked. Hey look what I got, look like waking up on Christmas morning, finding what I always wanted waiting for me Under the tree, look like finding money in my pocket, never even knew I said I'm like, oh my gosh, look what I got I can have the worst day, but it all goes away when I see a truck, coming to pick me up. Now you're playing kisses on my forehead. Every time I stop that time, flood. The other cards did just watch, looking at what I got. Findin' what I always wanted Under the tree, but I find money in my pocket, never even knew I said. I'm like, oh my god, what I got, waiting so long, but I want to come along I can hear me like waking up on Christmas morning, findin' what I always wanted waiting for me for me Under the tree, finding money in my packet, everything, do I like it? I'm like, oh my gosh, look what I got Wake up on Christmas morning, findin' what I always wanted waiting for me Under the tree, look I find it money in my packet, everything, do I like it? I'm like, oh my gosh, look what I got Oh my gosh, look what I look what I got.

SPEAKER_07

That was Boyertown graduate Nashville recording artist Stephanie Grace with Look What I Got here on Soundcheck with Chase and Minnie on Froggy Valley 100.1 and one that my Froggy Valley app you can stream anywhere here in the world. It always takes an army behind you, whatever you're doing, whether it's an independent artist, whether it's a mainstream artist, whether you're a solo artist, whether you're a band. Talk about some of those folks that have been with you since day number one.

SPEAKER_16

Absolutely. Yeah, I mean, I feel like it starts with your family. Um, my mom and dad were my original managers, chauffeurs, um, booking agents, makeup artists, promoters, makeup artists. Oh gosh, yeah, the costumes, good lord. Um, yeah, you could tell when I started dressing myself. There was definitely a difference. Um then, you know, you start working with uh bandmates because I used to sing to karaoke tracks. Uh I would set up my little karaoke machine and play gigs. But then people saw me and they're like, you need real musicians up there on stage with you. So by the age of 15, I was working with musicians and um I worked with many different ones over the years, but um, you know, currently I work with some amazing guys. I mean, the way my drummer, my bass player, my guitar player, they all have stepped up to doing so many things outside of just playing their instruments, you know, like all the marketing stuff, the tech stuff, so many things that go over my head. Um and I'm now working with uh Steve Hill from Media Force Management. So uh having a manager has been great, managing all the day-to-day things, and it definitely takes a village. And I think the biggest thing is having supporters who actually share and like and comment and tell everybody what you're doing. So that's the big part of the village that um you know encourages us independent artists to keep going.

SPEAKER_18

We will be back with sound check with Chase and Minnie on Froggy Valley 100.1 and the my Froggy Valley.

SPEAKER_06

There's only one place where you can hear this.

SPEAKER_09

Somehow you can make a heart of gold from this heart of stone, and this the only dance is the camel tones, those that belong to the moment.

SPEAKER_08

And this. But don't they just take it from me? The world is hard on beautiful things.

SPEAKER_06

On one radio station, Froggy Valley 100.1, and the brand new My Froggy Valley app powered by Radio Novo.

SPEAKER_19

Sound check with Chase and Minnie on Froggy Valley 100.1 And the my Froggy Valley Found check with Chase and Minnie on Froggy Valley I've been single way too long, that's what all my friends say.

SPEAKER_18

They're all in relationships. I like my couch, my cats, my space. Little do they know I've got somebody They've never met him. His name's nobody. Nobody's badly in love with me. Hold my heart and treats me right. Nobody likes my upper dance. All the cheesy pubs are right. Nobody, nobody, nobody's within me. Nobody, nobody, nobody's like Nobody, nobody, nobody's within me. Nobody, nobody, nobody's I never catch him checking out another girl behind my back. Shopping chick-flicks, family dinner, yeah, he's always down for that. I can't believe I found somebody my daddy up too. So he likes nobody. Nobody's badly in love with me. Wants my heart and treats me right. Nobody likes my off the bed. All the cheesy up and nobody, nobody's within me. Nobody, nobody, nobody's my day, nobody, nobody's with me. Nobody, nobody, nobody's up, nobody If you wanna take me, nobody's standing in your way. Nobody's badly in love with me. Owns my heart and treats me right. Nobody likes my off the bed. All the cheesy puffs are right. Nobody, nobody, nobody's with me. Nobody, nobody, nobody's my gut. Nobody, nobody, nobody's with me.

unknown

Nobody, nobody, nobody's all.

SPEAKER_11

That was Stephanie Grace with Nobody on Soundcheck with Chase and Minnie here on Froggy Valley 100.1 and the My Froggy Valley at Power by Radio Novo. This week we are joined by Stephanie Grace in studio on this Sunday night. You have been teasing new music. You have been in the studio. What is upcoming for you here this year?

SPEAKER_16

Oh yes. So in a couple weeks, I'm gonna be putting out a brand new single. And this one's pretty special. The name of the song is Called To Serve. And I wrote this for our military folks and um their loved ones and kind of the struggles they go through while they're away. And for me personally, I wrote it about my husband. He went on his very first deployment, and that was really hard. You know, um, I'm not one of those like strong, independent girlies, and I missed them a lot. And also, you know, when you have a loved one that uh chooses that path, you get people sometimes who question it. Like, why would you want to do that? You know, and I basically wrote this song in response to those people. It's a it's a pretty special one.

SPEAKER_07

And the and the hubby is joining us in studio tonight as well, Ryan. Come on over to the microphone. You can go up to the microphone. He's like, I it ain't happening. But thank you for your thank you for your service, Ryan. Yes, thank you. Thank you for all that you do.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, it's funny, we're so opposite. Um, I am very much in front of the microphone, in front of the camera. Not his thing. Very shy. But you know, opposites attract, right? I feel like that's that's why we work very well, right? Yeah, and I mean this October we'll be married, what, five years? We've been together eight years. And um it it it kind of works. He's so supportive in his own quiet way.

unknown

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And sometimes those are the best. Right? Exactly. True.

SPEAKER_16

I think if you were a lot like me, I'd probably I'd probably be very annoyed.

SPEAKER_07

Might clash. Might clash a little bit, yeah.

SPEAKER_16

Exactly.

SPEAKER_07

Now now when you sit down, write that original music that you're writing, whether it be for a new song or a song that you already have in the works that you wrote down, what does that process look like for you?

SPEAKER_16

Sure. So for me, I am very lyrics uh driven. Um I don't play an instrument, so it's very much on me to focus on the words and what I want to say. And it normally starts with um something someone says or something that pops into my head in response to what someone says. And um, like, I don't know, for example, like look what I got. Um I remember like I don't know, I had like found some candy that I hadn't had in forever, and I was like, Look what I got. It's like a great song title. Maybe not about candy, but you know, about a new relationship and about all these other things that would make you say, Look what I got. So it's very much just real life moments that uh inspire a song. And it's interesting how um certain songs can be written within 20 minutes, and then others you just kind of have it on like a little shelf in your brain for months and months and months, sometimes years. Yeah, exactly. So every song is different. I think some people start to get an approach or a process for them that's like their go-to for writing a song, but for me personally, um, each song is different, it has its own little timeline, um, its own approach for the order, you know, um the the everything. And I have um an amazing crew of songwriters I can reach out to as well if I'm like, all right, I'm not really getting this on my own. I might need to get some help here. And and having songwriters and most of them are in Nashville, that I can just and that's where the technology is great now. Like you can hop on Zoom and uh or FaceTime or whatever, and we can bring a song to life where they're in Nashville and I'm here in Pennsylvania, and it's neat. I definitely work with some talented songwriters. Um, I've worked with like a handful of them over the years, and they're my go-to's and um can always count on them to to bring the idea to life.

SPEAKER_18

Yeehaw! Get ready for it! Sound check with Chase and Minnie. It's Minnie's hopping good time.

SPEAKER_10

We're asking your favorite stars three questions totally random every time.

SPEAKER_18

So get ready to jump on in for Minnie's Hoppin' Good Time on Froggy Valley 100.1. Froggy Valley. Woo!

SPEAKER_11

It is time for my favorite part of the show, Minnie's Hoppin' Good Time, where we ask our musicians three random questions and we'll see how they handle them. Are you ready for our question? I don't know.

SPEAKER_16

I'm sweating. Woo boy, what kind of ooh. Okay, I think so. I think so. Let's do it. I'm ready.

SPEAKER_11

Alright, question number one. I love playing yard games. If you were at a picnic or at a party, do you have a favorite yard game that you like to play?

SPEAKER_16

Cornhole! I like the bean bag. I'm terrible at it, but that's the only one I can handle. If you give me a frisbee, I might injure someone. Yeah, there's a lot of room for disaster. I'm not very athletic, but cornhole for sure. Cornhole is fun.

SPEAKER_11

Question two. So let's talk girly things for a minute. Messy buns, braids, ponytails, or just letting it down. What is your go-to hairstyle?

SPEAKER_16

I love this. You know, it it depends. So if I am at the gym or if I have a show where it's gonna be really hot, my go-to is either braids or pigtails. And it's crazy because like I'm gonna be 30 and people are like, oh, she's wearing pigtails, she must be so young. But what it does, my hair's really thick, so it keeps, you know, keeps me cool. Because it's too thick to put in a ponytail or a messy bun, then I get a headache. Anyway, Chase is like, I don't need to know all these details. You lost me. Yes. Uh but otherwise I let it down. I love letting my hair down. That's a great question. Thank you.

SPEAKER_11

And our third and final question with the 4th of July next weekend, what is your favorite hot dog topping?

SPEAKER_16

Wow. Um I never thought this would be the question. This dump me. Because I'm normally like a plain hot dog kind of gal. I mean, I guess if I'm gonna put anything, it would be like ketchup. Is that weird? Do people put ketchup? Oh no, I love ketchup, right? I feel like mustard's normally the go to, but I'm not a big mustard gal. So yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I gotta tell you. At our household, we have put what are some of the things we put on our hot dogs?

SPEAKER_11

Chili.

SPEAKER_07

Chili steaks, seltzer's love, and bologna. We have put on little bits of seltzer's lemon and bologna on our hot dogs. You can put cheese whiz on it too.

SPEAKER_16

Oh, cheese whiz.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, and there's a whole game of things. You could decorate that thing and dress it up a little bit.

SPEAKER_16

I have not been living on the edge as far as my hot dog condom is go.

SPEAKER_07

I think we're gonna have to have Stephanie and Ryan over for, you know, a cookout or something. Pick out some hot dogs and your ways. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_16

Yes, that sounds fantastic.

SPEAKER_07

We got plenty of drinks, so you don't have to worry about that.

SPEAKER_06

This is Soundcheck with Chase and Minnie Hopper on Froggy Valley 100.1 and on the My Froggy Valley app, powered by Radio Novo.

SPEAKER_18

Ever wanted to walk up to a stranger? Say hey, you're kinda hot. Ever think about changing up your hair? Dag it blonde and chop it off. Eat the cake, buy the shoes, take the trip, make a move, work real hard, play hot to, dance like no one's judging you. Life's too short, not to, not to. Put yourself out there. You got to, got to do all the crazy things you want to, want to, because life's too short, not to, not to Do you ever pull your loved ones close? Tell them what they mean to you. Do you take the blame when it's your fault? Like you know you want to be bold, be kind, be true, speak your mind, do your best, do what's right while you can, while there's time. Not too short, not to, not to let yourself out that you got to, got to, do all the crazy things you want to, want to short, not to, not to choose, take the trip, make a move, work real hard, play hard to dance like no one's judging you. Be bold, be kind, be true, speak your mind, do your best, do what's right while you can all the time. Not to show, not to put yourself out there, got to, got to, do all the crazy things you want to, want to show, not to, not to not do, not to Got to, got to do something crazy. One, two, one, two, last two short, not two.

SPEAKER_11

That was Stephanie Grace with Not Two on Froggy Valley 100.1 and the My Froggy Valley at Power by Radio Novo. Great to have Stephanie Grace in studio tonight. We loved seeing you over at the CPMA Awards back in March. This was the third time you were nominated for a CPMA. First time you attended, you were up for Best Female Country Artist. Talk about that experience for you.

SPEAKER_16

Oh wow. Yeah. So that was pretty early on. I think that was like the early years of the CPMAs. So it was this new exciting thing. And um I had no idea what to expect going to the award show. I think I remember being very nervous. Um, you you just kind of get that what's that called, like imposter syndrome, you know. And even to this day, because then yes, I did see you back in March um at this past year's CPMAs. I was nervous then too. You know, you walk in the room, everyone's all dressed up, you see all these talented people that you know you you know their name, or you see them on social media, and um, it's overwhelming, but in the best way, because again, we're all trying to get our music out there, and we we all have similar goals, and it's neat to have everybody under the same roof. Um, so incredible experience, uh nerve-wracking for me, who sometimes gets a little shy in those moments, um, but also just such an honor to even be recognized. So, yeah, super cool what the CPMAs does.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, among like all of the artists that are there, it's just cool to see everybody in one place. It's like everybody references you can't do that anywhere because everybody's playing on a weekend or something or they're playing somewhere else, so you don't get to see those people out and about. So that's gotta be pretty cool to see everybody there.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, and everybody's so dressed up, you know. Like I definitely would have preferred to be in like ripped jeans. Oh, yeah. You and me both maybe a sparkly tank top. You you too, Chase.

SPEAKER_07

A sparkly tank top? Is that what you're saying?

SPEAKER_16

Oh yeah. You gotta dress up the ripped jeans. That'd be great.

SPEAKER_07

Only way I'm wearing a sparkly tank top is if you're making it.

SPEAKER_15

Or for a yes day. Just for it.

SPEAKER_07

I could do that.

SPEAKER_15

You have to wear a sparkly tank top.

SPEAKER_07

I could make that happen.

SPEAKER_15

I'm giving Minnie all kinds of audio. You're welcome.

SPEAKER_07

I could make that happen maybe for next year's CPMA.

SPEAKER_15

Seriously.

SPEAKER_07

Uh now talk about your band too. You referenced them a little bit. Um talk about the guys that are in your band. They have that high energy too um as well. So just talk a little bit about them.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, so we've got Michael Marks on bass, but he is known as Cowboy Mike. And he has taken on this persona. He puts the cowboy hat on and he is a totally different person. He's he's no longer dad Mike or you know, like IT Mike. He is cowboy Mike, rock star Mike, and uh he is fantastic. He definitely brings the energy. There are times, like if it's towards the end of the night, and I am exhausted and sweaty and just ready to be done. I look over and he's jumping up and down. I'm like, well, if he's jumping up, I better be jumping up and down. You know, so we feed off of each other's energy. Um, same with Bill Weissel, my guitar player. He's uh based in Delaware, so he travels quite a bit for the shows, and uh he's just such a good guy. He's so goofy and fun and just keeps the good vibes. And then my drummer, Steve Larrow, he's in Jersey, so once again, he's traveling a lot for rehearsals and uh for most of our shows. Um, but he's incredible. Most of my guys came from like a very rock metal background. So I give them a lot of credit that they've adapted very well to playing country music and and again have taken on all these extra roles in addition to just showing up and playing their instruments. Like we truly are a team and we truly are a family. In fact, Steve and Mike are actually broth brothers-in-laws, if that makes sense. Mike married Steve's sister, so yeah, okay, yeah, okay. So it is in the family, right? Exactly. So, and we're all about family, you know, and that I think makes such a difference, you know, when people truly like each other. Uh the chemistry on stage is just so natural because like it's not like we're secretly hating each other and it's a miserable experience. Yeah, exactly. We had to drive in separate cars. Like, who's that? Who was that? The Eagles? I don't remember. I just remember hearing there was like Van Halen. I guess there's a bunch of them they like actually hated each other, and that's just not the case with my band. And um, that's definitely part of what brings the the good vibes, is how much we all like each other.

SPEAKER_07

And and and the mix too, it's gotta be special with your band. Like it's gotta mix with what you do on stage versus what they're gonna do too. Yeah. Behind you.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, exactly. And they are so um respectful and aware of the fact that you know, they got this like five foot two band leader, like boss lady.

SPEAKER_07

Like See now, we didn't even mention that you were short either.

SPEAKER_16

We don't discriminate, but but it is funny because we walk on stage and they're all like a foot taller than me, actually. It's great. There's there's a good dynamic there, and again, we feed off of each other's energy, and um yeah, it's just a lot of a lot of good vibes on stage.

SPEAKER_11

Talk about one of your latest singles, Not Two, a really good upbeat song about living life to its fullest.

SPEAKER_16

Oh, thank you. Not to is probably one of my favorite songs I've ever released, and I feel like artists always say that, right? But this one, I feel like if you've never heard of me, and this was the only song you ever heard of mine, I would be okay with that. You know, like it's one of those songs that I'm like, I feel like this checks so many boxes. For me, like it has a good message, it's fun. It kind of gets stuck in your head. I mean, I say that about my own song, but it does. Even the guitar, like, I mean, everything about it. Um, and it's just a feel-good song, and that's kind of my whole vibe, you know. Like, I I really truly am like a bubbly, happy, positive person, and I love when I can put out a song that actually my personality is just 100% at the forefront. So, yeah, that's not too.

SPEAKER_19

We will be back with Sound Check with Chase and Minnie on Froggy Valley 100.1 and the My Froggy Valley.

SPEAKER_13

The quality of meat in the grocery store just keeps getting worse. Yes, I read that 85% of the grass-fed meat in the U.S. is imported from overseas. They just package it here and label it product of the U.S. I don't trust any of it. That's why I switched to Good Ranchers. Good Ranchers? It's a meat delivery service, but everything is ultra high quality. They only source from local U.S. farms. Everything's pasture-raised with no antibiotics, hormones, or harmful additives. I actually feel good about what I'm feeding my family. Wow. And it gets delivered right to your house? Yep. American born and raised beef, pork, chicken, and wild-caught seafood right to my door. No more running to the grocery store every day. They're even offering $40 off your first order. I'm ordering right now.

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_06

Come on. Hey, never pay a cover to hear the best up in covers. It's Froggy Valley. Valley 100.1 sound check with Chase and Minnie Hopper.

SPEAKER_18

Let's go on Froggy Valley 100.1, fat, fresh, red tomato stay, and I'm a lost undress and I just can't get it out. Oh well. Spent my last four months on the life Total Ree and that dream just went south. Oh well. And you've been on a live for like five whole days.

SPEAKER_17

And you just called me up to say it's over.

SPEAKER_07

Any songs that is your favorite one and just really hits home for you?

SPEAKER_16

It's it's a tie. Is it can I give two?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_16

It is a tie between um my single I'm putting out in a couple weeks, Called to Serve, because it's definitely like the most special, the most vulnerable song. Um and not to. Again, not to kind of sums up my entire mantra and my my good vibes I hope people take away. So not to, called to serve, definitely my two favorites that I've written. And uh keep an eye out for Call to Serve, it's coming out soon.

SPEAKER_07

Uh talk about the amazing duet that you did with blues rock guitarist Jeremy Edge. A lot of folks know him, of course, from Candlelight Red. Just talk about the acoustic cover you both put together. Absolutely amazing.

SPEAKER_16

I got Jeremy Edge to sing a country song, y'all. Can you believe it?

SPEAKER_07

I can't.

SPEAKER_16

He couldn't either. Yeah, so uh we have the same manager, and right away our manager was like, You guys need to collab. I don't know. Like, there's just something that would be really cool if you two came together. And Jeremy reached out and was like, Do you have any suggestions? And immediately I'm like, Well, we have to do a country cover. We're like, you know, of course. And um Laney Wilson and Hardy, wait in the truck. What an intense, heavy country song. And I remember texting him, what do you think? Should we do this? Is it too heavy? He replied, and he's like, let's do it. And we'll do a music video, and his like recording studio, temple of sound. He basically, it's like an abandoned church, and uh, it was the perfect spot to record the song, film the music video with like the stained glass windows. It was such a neat vibe, and Jeremy like directed and and uh did the whole video himself, and really, really neat. Uh go check it out, it's on YouTube, and check out Jeremy's music, and yeah, our cover, wait in the truck, Jeremy Edge, Stephanie Grace, check it out on YouTube. It's a pretty uh it's pretty cool.

SPEAKER_11

You have a pretty busy summer coming up here for you on the road. Talk about some of the festivals and shows you have this summer.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, this is my favorite time of year. So 4th of July, we're gonna be in Punk Sitawny, you know, or the Groundhog, you know, Phil.

SPEAKER_07

Is the Groundhog gonna be there?

SPEAKER_16

That's a good question. I I put that in my contract that he has to be there, or else we're not coming. Uh so we'll be uh celebrating 4th of July in Punk Sitawney, but then July 11th, we're gonna be in Philadelphia. We're gonna be at Stateside Live. We're gonna we're gonna be like the pre-party for the Meghan Moroni concert.

SPEAKER_07

So that's also your birthday. It is my biggest. Yeah. July 11th.

SPEAKER_16

July 11th. Oh my gosh. Well, I'd say come out to Philly and celebrate, but I'll be in South Carolina.

SPEAKER_07

She never goes to any Eagles games. We only take her to Philly's games. There's a reason why, Steph, we do that.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, I was gonna say it's a little wild, you know.

SPEAKER_06

Country music from local, regional, and national up and comers. If it's Sunday night, it's soundcheck with Chase and Minnie on Froggy Valley 100.1.

SPEAKER_18

When you look at me, do you still see a Kool-Aid smile and curls? Cause this brand new bride, all dressed in white, is still daddy's little pearl. It might be hard to let me go, but dad, I just want you to know. You taught me long ago to never settle for less. And you always told me I deserve the best. I finally found the right one. He's as perfect as it gets. Treats me like a princess, even when I'm a mess. And just like you, he loves me regardless. Just like you, he loves me regardless. You believed in me, encouraged me, told me to chase my dreams. You've given me everything I could ever need. Good advice, advice, unconditionally. What a good man should be. You taught me long ago to never settle for less. And you always told me I deserve the best. She treats me like a princess. Even when I'm just like you, he loves miracles. Just like you, he loves miracles of those moments when I'm going crazy over city things. Regardless of my flocks, but down folks. He'll be there through everything. Just like you've always been Now I've finally found the right one. He's as perfect as it gets. Treats me like a princess. Even when I'm a mess. Just like you, he loves miracle. Just like you, he loves miracle.

SPEAKER_11

Stephanie Grace in studio here on Froggy Valley 100.1 and the My Froggy Valley app powered by Radio Novo. You have performed on stage with a lot of talented musicians. What were some of the ones that stand out to you? And I'm pretty sure that Tay Tay Swift might be on this list.

SPEAKER_16

Yes. So, yes, Tay Tay, that is obviously a high. Is that what we're going by here? That's what we're gonna call her. Tay Tay, come on now. So Taylor Swift, absolutely incredible uh experience getting to open for her. Um, but after that, I got to open for Charlie Daniels before he passed. That was in 2015. I think it was my senior year of high school. So I remember I opened for Charlie Daniels and then I went to prom like the next weekend. That was a crazy time in my life, too. But uh what a legend and what a nice man, too. He was so so good to all of us. And he specifically said he wanted a local person to open the show, but not many legendary acts do that. So super cool that we we got to do that. Um I've also opened for Scotty McCreary. What a sweetheart. I just remember he came over to me and like introduced himself, like as if, you know, I shouldn't know who he is. He was just so humble, so humble. Like he made it a point to introduce himself to the opening act. Again, something not many big acts do. Um, I opened for Hunter Hayes, uh, I think a couple times, and Brothers Osborne and John Michael Montgomery. That was fun. It's cool just getting that behind the scenes look at the show. And um, I remember I think it was it had to be Brothers Osborne. One of them was complaining like how difficult it was to get in their really tight jeans. Because it was like a phase when like tight jeans were like a thing in country music, like Luke Bryant, and he just like stumbled out of the dressing room and was like complaining about it, and I'm like, oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_07

Hey Johnny, I need some help with my jeans. Can you come over here and help me out?

SPEAKER_16

Didn't expect that, you know, just didn't see that one coming. But yeah, getting that inside looks pretty neat too.

SPEAKER_07

Now, now last time we discussed you you took on a couple of varieties of genres of music. I'm not sure if you remember this conversation that we had before, but did you ever take up that uh career in rap at all? You know, with the video that you posted over on social media, you ever take up that rap career?

SPEAKER_16

Everyone really strongly told me not not to.

SPEAKER_07

Not a good idea. I think you should have.

SPEAKER_16

Yeah, yeah. I thought Steffi G had a nice ring to it. You know. Yeah, nope, nope, the rap career. It's I don't think it's gonna happen. To the folks who encouraged me, thank you. But everyone who really knows me was like, please don't do this.

SPEAKER_07

No big change or anything, I think.

SPEAKER_16

No, and like the house and the whole I thought so too. Just one rehearsal. We had a rap beat, and it just turned into me spitting some what do they even say? Spitting some bars? I don't even know what rappers.

SPEAKER_07

Spitting some game, maybe? I don't know. Yeah, that, you know.

SPEAKER_16

Um Steffi G in the house.

SPEAKER_07

Is that still up on your social media page? Because folks, I think, need to I need they need to see that.

SPEAKER_16

We didn't take it out. It's still up there. I think I had a couple people tell me to delete it. I did not, it is still up there. Follow me on Facebook, Facebook.com slash Stephanie GraceOfficial. You can find all the crazy stuff I post.

SPEAKER_11

All right, Stephanie, this is the part where we turn you from being a musician to being a radio DJ. We are going to let everybody know your top three mainstream country songs. We always like to start off at number three. Tell us what song number three is and why did you pick that song?

SPEAKER_16

Alright, well, I chose Sounds Like the Radio by Zach Todd. That's a good one. He is just, I don't know, there's something about him that just makes me happy. Like he's like just a happy-go-lucky kind of guy, and I love that he has kind of like the 90s country vibe.

SPEAKER_07

About song number two.

SPEAKER_16

Alright, song number two, I had to, I had to choose Ella Langley, choose in Texas.

SPEAKER_00

I haven't ever heard of her. Yeah. Never heard the song, right?

SPEAKER_16

What song is this? Um, to see a female in country, absolutely killing it right now, it warms my heart. And she just seems like a cool girl.

SPEAKER_07

Alright, Minnie. Let's do it. Drum roll for song number one.

SPEAKER_16

This might shock people, but Lou Combs and Billy Zimmerman came together for a song. Backup plan. I think the song is underrated. I really do. First, I love both of them as artists, but then just have them come together. And this song, as someone who's been pursuing a music career for so long, the number of times I've had people say, What's your backup plan? This song really spoke to me.

SPEAKER_11

Stephanie Grace, thank you so much for being on Sound Check with Chase and Minnie. You are welcome back anytime.

SPEAKER_16

Oh yay, thank you so much for having me. You are fantastic. Chase, you're okay too. But Minnie, amazing. I beg you to, but no, thank you both. It's been amazing.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, Stephanie Grace, now an official member of the Soundcheck with Chase and Mini Fam. Next Sunday, we get you into the month of July already with a musician from Glen Rock PA. Also, Navy Vinny is also fresh off his best male country artist win at the CPMA's this past year. We will have Jake Maish in studio next Sunday night. Also, a big thank you out to Wortz Candies here in Lebanon, part of the Lebanon Valley in Central PA for 95 years. Serving up that awesome caramel corn to give to our guests. I'm not sure it's gonna make it home with Steph and also Ryan here.

SPEAKER_16

We're eating it on the way home.

SPEAKER_07

Yes, that might be inhaled on the way home. But uh thanks to Wertz Candies, Jazzy, the rest of the crew down there, all the ladies, check them out at WirtsCandies.com. With that said, Minnie, let's wrap up the show. And it also uh is getting past my bedtime, so we need to get home here.

SPEAKER_11

We need to get home to mom.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. It ain't country music.

SPEAKER_11

Unless it's homegrown country music. Thanks for joining us tonight, y'all. And we'll see you next Sunday at 8 o'clock on Soundcheck with Chase and Minnie here on Froggy Valley 100.1 and the My Froggy Valley app powered by Radio Novo. Have a great week, y'all.

SPEAKER_06

Are you an up and coming artist trying to make it big? If so, we want to hear from you. Submit your demo to Chase at sevenmountainsmedia.com. That's Chase, the number seven mountainsmedia.com. Thanks for spending your night with Froggy Valley 100.1's sound check with Chase and Minnie Hopper.
