Okay, so I've got news. The podcast is changing. And before you panic and think, does this mean you're quitting? Nope. It actually means you're about to get way more of the good stuff and way more of me. I'm Alessandra from Dom Sub Living, and today I'll tell you what's shifting and why it matters for you. Welcome to the Dom Sub Living podcast. So this is episode 101, which means I just did my hundredth episode last week. So if you haven't heard it yet, I shared one of the rawest, most personal stories of my life there. And I actually cried at the end. My my Dom Jay, who edits all of my episodes, he said it was actually kind of hard for him to watch me try to muster through that episode. It took a lot of cuts and a lot of redo's and edits. Um, but I can't believe we've hit 100 episodes. It's been such a thrill ride. It's become way more popular than I could have dreamed. I actually have a funny story. So when we had first moved here for LA, we had actually been living here for about a year, but we attended one of the local munches. So these are like small in-person groups for people in the BDSM community. So we were introducing ourselves to the coordinator and saying what we did for work. And we said that on the side we run a podcast called the Dom Sub Living Podcast. And his eyes just lit up. And he pulled out his phone and he showed on his Apple Podcasts our podcast. And he said, Oh my gosh, I can't believe that this is you. He said he had heard me on the podcast say how we lived in LA. And he said he was going to eventually reach out to me and invite me to the munch because we were locals, and it was just so funny that we found him and were able to go to this munch. And he was a diehard listener of the show. So it was just kind of a neat, fun story to meet an actual listener. But today I want to tell you about what's changing here at Dom Subliving and why it matters for you. And I want to give you a glimpse at something much bigger that's coming down the road that I'm really excited about. So first, let's talk about why the format of the show is changing. Now you might be thinking, like, wait, does this mean less content, less dumb subliving? But stick with me because the answer is actually the opposite. You're actually going to get more kinky content and more of me. But I've been sharing the video version of this podcast over on YouTube every week. And Daddy algorithm over there really rewards long evergreen content. Evergreen means like topics that are popular not only today, but three years from now too. But that type of editorial content and pacing just really isn't sustainable. I've shared a lot on this show about my personal struggles with chronic illnesses and different mental health things and dealing with kids and their illnesses. So some weeks I'd find myself recording with a sore, raspy throat and trying to muscle through it. And sometimes I'd just have to force myself to churn out a 30-minute video when what I really wanted to share was just a 10-minute thought with you about something that happened in my own DS dynamic. So here's what the new rhythm is gonna be. So you I'm still gonna do YouTube, but it's going to be every other week. And it's gonna be more of those evergreen episodes where we do deep dives, we're gonna have more visual content. You'll get the audio version over here, just like you've always been getting. But on the off weeks where we do audio only, that's going to be more personal updates. Um, they're gonna be topics that you know usually get censored on YouTube and they don't allow over there. Um, also on the alternate weeks, we're also going to be, you know, doing behind the scenes things of my own life and my own dynamic. It will definitely be more vulnerable, more real-time episodes. If I go to a dungeon one weekend, I can tell you about it. Or I can tell you all about an amazing scene I had. Because would you rather have one perfectly polished evergreen lesson from me every week? Or a mix, where some weeks you're also hearing the messy, unfiltered side of me that doesn't make it to YouTube. I know what I would want to hear. So that's why the format is changing, but what does this mean for you? Well, here's where it gets exciting because these changes mean you're going to get access to things I've never shared publicly before. So here's some example topics that are going to be happening now on the audio version. So you'll get more of my personal reflections on parenting teens while living kinky. You'll get raw stories about my DOM and the challenges of a 24-7 dynamic. And you'll get things that really disrisk censorship on YouTube. So these are topics like consensual non-consent, humiliation, darker kinks, even. Because one thing that really makes me angry about YouTube is I have to be creative about how I say certain terms, and and that just kind of downplays it. So, for example, I couldn't say the word rape on YouTube without getting restricted. So I had to say instead forced physical intimacy. And that just disgusted me because rape is rape. It's not forced physical intimacy. And that was really the moment I knew I couldn't keep all my, you know, eggs in the YouTube basket. So over here on the audio version, whether you're on Apple or Spotify or iHeartRadio, wherever you are, here I can do real talk and use real language. And with the format changing, it also means I can be less polished and have it be more like we're having a one-on-one conversation. Because how many times have you listened to a podcast and thought, I wish I could just hear what's really going on in their life? Well, that's exactly what these off-week episodes will be. Now, after 100 episodes, we have covered a lot of kinky content. And if you've ever wondered what you missed back in those early days, you're about to find out because I'm bringing some of the best episodes back to life. And let me tell you, my style has changed so much since episode one. I went back and listened to my first 10 episodes. Totally cringe, but they were also so full of gems that people still email me about. Like seriously, in episode three, it's only my third episode. And in that episode, I asked people to tell me your why. Why are you wanting to live the BDSM lifestyle? Why do you want to be a DOM or a sub or a switch? And about once a week, I get a message from someone who says how much they love that episode. And they tell me how this was the first time they really had to sit and think about what their why is, and they tell me what their why is. And it is just so beautiful to see that transformation. And then they have that motivation to keep them going on their journey to becoming the best Dom or Sad they can be. So go back and check out that episode. It's episode number three. It's called Why I Quit My Vanilla Relationship to Become a Full Time Submissive. So I'm going to be curating and re-airing some of my best episodes, but it's not just going to be filler content. It's a chance for new listeners to catch up and for all the rest of us, including me, to be reminded of these truths. Um, I often say that in this lifestyle, we don't really learn anything new, but we get new reminders. So I promise I'll also be adding fresh commentary. So even if you did hear it the first time, you'll be getting something new out of it. Now, the fun part. Let's talk about what's coming beyond the podcast. This is the part I've been kind of holding back because what's next for Dom Subliving isn't just about the podcast, it's about everything we're building together. So the first thing is the famous kink bundle. We'll be bringing that back actually this month in September. If you don't know what the kink bundle is, it's a bundle that we get to coordinate every year with dozens of other top educators in the kink and DS and BDSM space. They each contribute one of their premium products. And then when you join the bundle, you get their product for free. And we're talking like thousands of dollars in premium products from the top educators. So it is such a steal and it is such an amazing opportunity for people who are new, for people who are advanced. I enjoy the kink bundle every year and learn so much from it. And organizing it just really feels like I'm hosting the Kink Olympics because it's just these dozens of educators all under one umbrella. I can't share all the names yet, but I've got some new contributors that might just blow your mind. I was just so excited when they said yes. They were excited to be in the bundle too. So definitely get on my email list for that. You can go to domsubliving.com/slash sign up because we only offer it for one week and it's like a blink and you miss it type of thing. And then something else I've been busy with behind the scenes is our all access pass. So if you don't know what our all access pass is, it is all of our courses and templates and trainings and workshops. So when you're a member of the All Access Pass, you get all of that included and you get anything new that we create while you're a member. But you also get access to a private community of other DOMs and subs and switches who are living this lifestyle just like you. And we also do um monthly private one-to-one coaching with me and also my Dom Jay. Um, because sometimes people want to, you know, pick a Dom's brain too and ask him questions. So it does include private coaching in that too. And the All Access Pass has just really been my priority lately. Um, our our members are growing and we just love them so much. They ask just the most amazing questions. So we've been doing more to support our members, like doing monthly themes based on their, you know, monthly reviews and accountability reports that they do. Um, and we're thinking about adding monthly virtual munches too. So we have a lot going on in the works. We're going to be adding new trainings also. So the price will be going up next year. So if you want to grab it at the lowest price it is right now and lock it in, just go to domsubliving.com/slash all access. Now, something big and huge that I'm working on, and honestly, something really scary and exciting too, is I'm writing a book. So I've been slowly working on the manuscript. Um, I have the opportunity to work with a publisher, and that has been amazing. And this just feels so aligned for me because I have a degree in journalism, and the main reason I got into journalism is because my favorite author, Kurt Vonnegut, started off as a journalist and then he became an author. Some other notable people started out that way, like Mark Twain started that way. So when I got out of high school, I knew I was going to get a degree in journalism with the long-term goal of being an author and writing a book. So I kind of got derailed from that dream a little bit. Um, went off to get married, um, had kids, um, homeschooled, and then I started a beauty blog for some reason. Um, and then I started Dom Subliving, and that has been just been amazing. And now I just feel really called to write a book. And like I said, I've, you know, been in touch with a publisher. So it just really feels like my journey has come full circle. And this is something I've wanted to do for Dom Subliving for a long time, but it just really felt like the right time now. The kids are getting older, so I have more freedom. My my voice and my my vision for BDSM and Dom sub dynamics is just so much more clearer now. I know what I want to write about, I know what I want to say, but can you imagine just walking into a mainstream bookstore and seeing a book about the BDSM lifestyle, like right there on the shelf? That's what I'm fighting for. I want to be taken seriously, and I want this lifestyle to be taken seriously. So obviously, I'm going to be taking you on the journey of all of that. So follow me on social media too, because I'll be, you know, sharing behind the scenes of the journey of writing a book. And then just another personal update on me is my dom and I have more freedom with our kids growing up now. Just the other day, we were able to go to a late-night munch and not worry about being home too late. Our youngest actually has his driver's license now, and so he can go and get himself dinner if he needs. He can, you know, feed himself. And so going to a late-night anything really without a babysitter lined up would have felt impossible when they were younger. So we want to do more dungeon trips, more conventions and BDSM events. So if you have any recommendations of great BDSM events that you think I should go to, message me and let me know. And maybe we can meet up too. That would be totally a lot of fun. But my point is, if you're a parent, you know what a game changer it is for your own personal identity when you get to go out and have a life outside of your kids. And with them getting older too, we both just kind of plan on exploring our polyamorous side a little more. So I'm sure you'll get to hear all about that too. But let me just recap some of the changes that are coming down the pipeline. So bi-weekly YouTube episodes, more personal audio episodes, and re-airing some of the classics. We have the kink bundle, our All Access Pass is growing, the book, and um, I also shared with you about how my family dynamics are kind of shifting. So, why do all of these changes matter? Well, this isn't me pulling back, it's actually me doubling down in the ways that matter most. So, I want to ask you, what do you want to hear more of in these more personal audio episodes? You can DM me, email me, or post in our community. If you're a member of that, you can go to dominsubliving.com slash community. And again, if you want to hear me at my most unfiltered, go back to last week's episode. That's episode 100. I opened up about something just so freaking raw that I cried at the end of it. But I'm really excited to do another 100 episodes with you, and I'm excited for all the changes coming up. Change feels scary sometimes, but it's growth. But let me reassure you, Domps of Living isn't going anywhere. If anything, it's about to get even more real, more intimate, and more aligned with you. Subscribe to the show so you don't miss a single episode. And do me a big favor, please share the podcast with just one person. That would mean so much to me. And until next time, keep embracing your power and pleasure through DOM Sub Living.
