Is Spirituality/Spiritualism An Abomination? - Part 1

Heather Darnall Season 1 Episode 2

Today's society and culture centers around "spirituality" and/or "spiritualism," however, many are deceived that either is a good practice, or something needed for peaceful living among other things.  While living peaceful and acquiring knowledge in various areas sounds like common sense and the right thing to do for a number of reasons, we often misunderstand the playing fields, thus fall into a deadly snare of various activities we think are fine, fun, safe, even helpful.

These typically include common practices such as horoscope readings, astrology, crystals, etc. leaving the urgency for us to stop and ask ourselves if spirituality and/or spiritualism is an abomination.  In this episode, I'll heavily discuss scripture from as far back as the book of Deuteronomy as our main focus in chapter 4:15-19 and then in 18:9-14, as well as going into depth talking about both idolatry and the differences between the Old and New Testament to give us a better perspective if we're safe or sorry practicing such things.

Please note that this is my personal interpretation of the scripture to the best of my current knowledge and understanding.  I encourage anyone to please check and verify as the scripture encourages all believers to do so.  There may be times where I have overlooked and/or misunderstood information by mistake which is why verifying is important if you feel lead by the Holy Spirit to do so.
