Speaker 1:

Hey, hey, hey, welcome back to the Kings perspective. I am King Chill and this is episode 12. Yes, that is right, episode 12. I can imagine myself as well 12 episodes down, 12 weeks. I really thought this was probably gonna end really by episode 3, week 3, because it's just trying to stay fresh with information and the energy, the know-how to get up here with the nerves and speak in front of a invisible audience. It's never easy, but somehow some way each week re-invigorated, rejuvenated with the energy and know-how to come forward and give you another episode. So I appreciate everybody coming out here listening or listening right now, at this moment, and, as I always do, it's a weekly episode where I'm talking about film, music, sports, television and the rounded out video games for all my gamers out there. So, without further ado, let's get the show started here with film. So here are some of the top movies across theaters, streaming and on demand, according to Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB users.

Speaker 1:

Drive Away Dolls, a comedy about two women who embark on a cross-country road trip with stolen car full of dolls. Zone of Interest, a drama based on the novel by Martin Amis, set in Auschwitz during the World War II, that follows the lives and relationships of Nazi officers and their families. It's a powerful, provocative film that provides us to take a cold look at the mundane behind unforgivable brutality. It's a hard pass for me. I just don't know how I feel about watching a film from the viewpoint of the abusers or the ones in power enslaving Jewish families. At that point in time it's just something I just not really interested to see. It's the equivalent of seeing what was talked about a few years ago, with segregation film periods and slavery films when they were crazy. So it's just kind of like yeah, I'm good on that, it's a hard pass, and then to kind of relive all that, but from the viewpoint of not the slave but those who were in power, is a hard pass for me. So nothing it well, I wouldn't say it's not so much nothing against the film, but it's just it's not my cup of tea.

Speaker 1:

Mia Copa tells the story of Mia Harper, a lawyer who takes on the case of Zaire Malloy, an artist accused of killing his girlfriend. As Mia gets involved with Zaire, she uncovers a web-alised portrayal and murder that puts her life in danger. This stars Kelly Rowland and I believe is directed and written by Tyler Perry. Snaps is on that film when I snaps this. But from the goings about the film it leaves a lot of questions unanswered and plot holes. That just didn't make sense on the film. But again, if you're a big fan of Tyler Perry, you know, hey, check this out. It's on Netflix.

Speaker 1:

Land of Bad follows the story of a rookie Air Force officer who is sole survivor of a hostage rescue mission gone wrong in the Philippines and has a rely on the remote assistance of a drone pilot to escape from the ruthless terrorist group. So yeah, it's. It's almost like the Owen Wilson film behind enemy lines, but I don't know if they were dealing with drones back then on that film, but essentially it's giving me that vibe, but in this one here, I believe it has Russell Crowe and it also has Luke Hemsley, I believe. So look for those two to star up and in this film here it's gonna be filled with a lot of action and adventure, but overall the film looks to be very interesting. New release films coming out this week we have Little Wayne.

Speaker 1:

The synopsis here that I have is of. Caitlin is dealing with her parents divorce and the impending loss of her home. In an attempt to solve her mother's financial problems, she and her best friend plant is still a valuable bird, a prized pigeon. Now, this title here it's gonna sound funny, but it seems to be very interesting. I won't say original, because here's why. Let me get into the film synopsis and I'll give you some details. Some other films that I felt are very similar. Okay, all right.

Speaker 1:

So the movie is called American Society of American of magical Negroes. A young man gets recruited into a secret society of magical black people who dedicate their lives to making White people's lives easier. Although initially enamored with his new powers, he begins to question the value of using Supernatural means to do the very thing that he's felt obligated to do his whole life. So From the trailer we have an individual who's basically accepted into the society of magical Negroes and there's strict rules and conduct, that he has a bye-bye, but he's been basically Partnered with an individual who's white to help him in life be successful, and they Form a friendship. Well, while they're becoming friends, he's also supposed to help him in his love life. But when he meets the girl that he's supposed to help his friend, he starts to fall for her as well. And then that's where trouble ensues because it's like okay, well, I have a strict rule of conduct that I have to buy by so I can't go off the unbeamed path. I have to Stay right here to what I need to do on my mission. But he seems to be the one particular that's in this long lineage of magical Negroes that it seems to be the Rare, unique in the person that does not adhere to any of this and Essentially is a, I guess, supposed to bring change To the society.

Speaker 1:

Now, for me this film Is funny because of the title. But there's been many other films quite like this but they just didn't go by that title. Legend of bagger Vance with Will Smith kind of had that same time, same feel where you have this magical Negro come out of nowhere and just basically help someone be a better version of themselves. And then the preacher's wife. The most recent version with Denzel Washington and Whitney Houston basically was kind of the same, but they played him like he was a guardian angel sent from heaven to help her and her husband in church and in their relationship. So this type of thing isn't new. If you're a big film buff, you've kind of seen it. They even have it probably in TV shows, if I were to keep it a buck with you. But this film it'll be different, but it's no different than the other ones I've seen.

Speaker 1:

Arthur the King, based on the true story of a stray dog who joined an adventure racing team in the Dominican Republic, stars Mark Wahlberg and the dog, essentially based on a true story. So from my dog lovers out there and those who like Mark Wahlberg, this is your jam, check it out. And then, lastly, here One Life is a biographical drama film that tells the true story of Sir Nicholas Minton, a British humanitarian who survived hundred, who saved hundreds of Jewish children from the Nazi occupied Czechoslovakia in 1938 and 1939. The film stars Anthony Hopkins and Johnny Flynn as the older and younger Winton, respectively, explorers his past and present as he struggles with guilt and grief over the children he could not rescue. So it's interesting. You have one film that I talked about earlier from the viewpoint of the Nazis and wanting you to be sympathizers for them, versus this film here. That is another viewpoint of someone who's trying to save the Jewish children, almost again like a Schindler's List, but this won't be a different viewpoint from another person that was doing the same thing. So very interesting and Anthony Hopkins is a very great actor. I think they go on a star since he's been knighted. I think he's like Sir Anthony yeah, sir Anthony Hopkins now, since he's been knighted, so don't quote me on that, but I believe. I believe that's the case.

Speaker 1:

Now on to films with replay value. We have Anchorman legend of Ron Burgundy. My synopsis here for you is Ron Burgundy is the most popular news anchor in San Diego. Along with his team of friends, brian Champ Brick, enjoy their famous success until a female journalist, veronica Corningstone, arrives at the station. So anything generally Will Ferrell does is grade A comedy. So this film did so well.

Speaker 1:

It spawned a sequel which was just as good, but I believe the first one was the better of the two because it was the introduction of everything, and I feel like all those involved in this film here really had to step their game up, because anytime you have to act with Will Ferrell, especially on anything that's comedic, you really have to bring your A game and bring something to the table, because you don't want to be that person that was in there as a cameo. This was like oh hey, did you see someone so in the film? Yeah, he was a cameo, but it was like he didn't add anything to the film. So a lot of those cameos that were in this film did add something to it, because I want to make sure I'm getting this correct. So Jack Black, I believe, was in the first one, and it's not that it's funny that he kicked the dog off the bridge pass, but that's what I'm saying, like that's. There's certain things that are memorable in that film and Jack Black showing up was kind of one of those things that was unexpected and he was able to get in act a little bit, punt the dog off the bridge and keep it moving and had a Wolf-Harrows character crying in the phone booth over. But yeah, it's things like that. You want to be able to come in and act your lines and be able to bring something to it. So, yeah, shawshank Redemption.

Speaker 1:

It tells the story of Andy Dufresne, a banker who was wrongly convicted of murdering his wife and her lover and sentenced to life in prison at Shawshank. Now, when I started this genre here or no, I wouldn't say genre when I started this topic films of replay value this was probably a few episodes back. This was one film that should have been on there. That I was talking about, films I could watch over and over. Every time I watch it I get a new wrinkle of knowledge or something that I missed, that I didn't understand years previous. So I think it takes growth a lot of times when watching films to understand what's going on or what's being said. You just have to be at a point in time in your life to really grasp that experience. Essentially it's got to be relatable to you. So sometimes not all the times, but sometimes, if you're going through something and then you get past that point and then now you watch or read something or hear something, it's like aha, I get it, I relate to it. So a lot of these points in this film, with certain things it's understandable, but great film to watch overall and sit down.

Speaker 1:

Fifth element it's set in the 23rd century where a mysterious being named Lilo is the key to saving the earth from a powerful evil force. She teams up with a cab driver and a priest to find the elemental stones that can activate a weapon. So this film stars Bruce Willis, mila Jolovich remember pronouncing her last name correctly Chris Tucker and then Gary Oldman. But I think the takeaway for me in this film was we already knew Bruce Willis was gonna bring his AN because action at that point in time was his claim to fame. Gary Oldman was like the second number two bad guys. So I've seen him do certain things in films and I wanna say Leon, where he played a bad guy. So it's just a few years after that, leon the assassin, with Gary Oldman, where it was like okay, we know what to expect with Gary Oldman. Mila at that point in time I'd seen her and stuff, but I think what I remember Mila most for is her early 90s ads as a model, either for Tommy Hilfiger, sorry, or Calvin Klein, one of those. So she was one of those models and then, and he'd finally seen her branch into acting.

Speaker 1:

But my biggest takeaway during that whole film, one actor that I did not anticipate really show me range was Chris Tucker. Now, at this point in time Chris Tucker had just came off Friday. He might have just came off of rush hour or was getting ready to do rush hour after this, but Chris Tucker at this point in time was a relative unknown. So then him doing Friday and then jumping into this film here or I would say rush hour actually. Yeah, friday, then rush hour, and then this one really showed his range because he was definitely portraying a different character that wasn't stereotypical, that he would roll into. So it was definitely different. But he pulled it off and it worked for him.

Speaker 1:

And then, lastly, happy Gilmore, a failed hockey player who's discovered his talents of golf and joins the PGA Tour to save his grandmother's house from foreclosure. Along the way he faces off against Shooter of MacGavin Sorry, I'll get into that, but a snobbish and arrogant golf pro who tries to sabotage Happy's career. Now the reason why I'm laughing because the banter between Happy and Shooter is what made the film, especially at that point when he got into the PGA Tour, shooter MacGavin not really accepting him as or taking him serious as a golfer because his previous sport was hockey. And then Happy realizing that he's not really your friend, he's really doing things to sabotage you because he feels threatened by you, because you're this relative unknown who's coming in and you're actually good. So you have that dynamic between the two and then him, like I said, trying to save his grandmother's house from going into foreclosure.

Speaker 1:

The little bits though that were there in the nursing home were gold. Between Happy, or Adam Sandler and the supervisor, which was Ben Stiller. Between the two, ben Stiller's character working in like a sweatshop in the nursing home, making all the elderly people do things and then giving them the death stare or symbol. It was crazy, it was really crazy, but Ben Stiller was the only person I know who could have played that character. I don't know if anybody else could have, but it was perfect.

Speaker 1:

So that closes out film and we're going to move over here to music and we're going to branch into a new topic here well, not a new topic, but a topic I've done for the last few here which is famous musicians from said state. So this state now for this week is going to be Wyoming. So we have Chris DeLupe, a crunchy country rock singer and songwriter who is also a champion rodeo cowboy. Collaborated with Garth Brooks on his hit song what You're Gonna Do with a Cowboy, but he has passed away in 2005 from cancer. So shout us out to I want to give a major shout out to this musician here from the great state of Wyoming Clancy Williams, a country singer and songwriter who leads the Young Brothers Band. He has won several wars, including the Rocky Mountain Country Music Awards for Mel Vocalists of the Year and Entertainer of the Year. And then, lastly, teenage Bottle Rocket, a punk rock band that formed in Larmy in 2000. They have released eight studio albums and toured extensively in the US and abroad. They're known for their catchy melodies, fast temples and humorous lyrics.

Speaker 1:

Now here are some of the most exciting rising artists to watch in 2024. I'm pronouncing this individual's name correctly, but I have it here as Jev J E V, a 19 year old singer songwriter from London who blends R&B, pop and soul with his smooth vocals and catchy melodies. Veda, a 22 year old rapper from Atlanta who mixes trap, drill and email influences with her witty and confident bars. She's collaborated with artists like Lucy Vert, rico Nasty Lil Yachty and her latest single, no Cap. As a banger Nourished by Time, a four-piece indie rock band from Sydney who create atmospheric and a themic songs with a touch of psychedelia. And then a Mindy I'm pronouncing that name correctly as well A 20 year old singer songwriter from Jamaica who fuses dancehall, reggae and pop with her vibrant, versatile voice. Her debut album, minty Fresh, was released in April and features a smash hit pine and ginger. So it wouldn't be April of this year, but it would have been April of last year, so 2023. So she's still making waves based off of that and then some of the just rundown here within music we have here the latest, tiktok faces potential loss of music content from Universal Music Group, the world's largest music group company, as their licensing deal is in, which is going to be pretty interesting because, you know, for those who like to use TikTok, and then you have that pre-set music that you can use to set the mood, ambiance or background for whatever it is that you're performing. Well, some of your favorite artists are going to be gone that you're going to be looking to use on your list, so that it's not like it's for me. I don't have TikTok, so it's not that big of a deal, but for those that do use it, it probably will be a big deal breaker once they get into seeing who they have left to use.

Speaker 1:

Taylor Swift releases her 11th album, the tortured poets department, with four bonus tracks that are only available on four different versions of the album, sparking mixed reactions from fans. Um man, I never thought I'd see the day where now you've got microtransactions when it comes to buying music, but now you do. So it's like, all right, you buy the bass album, right, but now it's like, oh, you want these other songs that she has over here that are exclusive. Well, you gotta buy the red album cover version of the album over here, where it's got the same bass songs. But now it's got four other songs that you can't find on the clear album. Oh, but guess what, on this other album that's, uh, got a hint of purple on it, there's four exclusive songs over here, so you gotta buy that album too. Then it's like, okay, but we're not done yet. This yellow album, it's got four other exclusive songs as well, so now you gotta buy this album. So in order to get, let's see four, eight, twelve exclusive songs like a whole another album, you gotta buy three additional other albums. Yeah, but you know what the Swifties will do it as and support and I mean it's genius marketing from her, because it's like, okay, you buy my bass album and then I've got four other songs just out there, but you're gonna have to buy those albums as well. So you know, to get her album sells up, somebody's gonna have to buy all four of those albums, which is crazy. Let's see like what? By Cardi B, a catchy and confident rap song that top the Spotify today's top hits. So for all you Cardi B fans that like her music, just know that this song is trending in the right direction, overcompensate by 21 pilots, a rock anthem and catchy chorus and a message about self doubt and anxiety. So they're coming out with a song. I think I saw on iTunes as well that they have it set up that you can pre-order their album, so the album will be coming shortly.

Speaker 1:

Usually when a single drops in an album is soon to follow Broken man by St Vincent, a synth pop track with retro vibes and a powerful vocal performance by a Grammy award-winning artist. Now this one escaped me, because usually I'm all up on all things NERD Neptune's Pharrell, but it shows me here that Dr by Pharrell and Miley Cyrus a funky and upbeat collaboration and features a catchy hook and rap verse by Pharrell. I didn't know about it, so I will be checking that out shortly. But with this one here, I'm not sure and I have to do some research on it if this is just going to be a one-off single for Pharrell Williams or if this is hey, I'm dropping a single here. Kind of see what people think about it if they like it. I've already got a backlog of songs that kind of sonically go with this song that I just released so that I can make preparation for an album. So we'll see.

Speaker 1:

And then Hymethy by Quavo. Quavo of the Migos, a trap song with a catchy beat and clever wordplay on the name Timothy and the slang term Hymbo. So Quavo probably as well gearing up to drop some heat with an album, probably late spring, early summer. These guys are trying to catch a vibe, trying to catch a wave, to get the most sales during a certain period of time where the music is going to be used the most or played the most. But I wonder how that's going to affect TikTok with the likes of especially Quavo and Pharrell, because if they're under a Universal Music Group, the way nowadays to get your music to just break through, from what I'm seeing, is you want it played on TikTok, you want it to be trending, for people to be using them, for whatever reason that they're using your song, because if it gets promoted or played like hell on TikTok, people are going to go buy the song on iTunes or wherever you can buy it, or they're going to stream it like crazy. So we'll see how that plays out for him. If he's hoping for this to be a hit smash, alright.

Speaker 1:

Now moving on to sports, mlb to be exact. The Giants are interested in signing two times I Young Award winner, jacob DeGroome, who remains a free agent after opting out of his contract with the Mets. An MRI revealed that Ronald Acuna Jr has some irritation in his right meniscus. The Braves star outfielder and reigning National League MVP is expected to be ready for opening day but will travel to California to be re-evaluated. So second opinion, but I mean, there's nothing wrong with that If you want to get a second opinion to make sure what the case may be, so that you don't have to go for surgery. And maybe it's just one of those things where it's just like a couple shots here and there, rest ice and let it heal. Naturally, probably the best thing to do, just to make sure, because a lot of times sports athletes will get surgery and then they're never the same and then probably didn't need a surgery.

Speaker 1:

So as here, it took the Texas Rangers 63 years to claim their first World Series title in 2023. That leaves five current teams who have yet to win the fall classic the Brewers, the Mariners, the Padres, the Rays and the Rockies With fans eagerly awaiting to know which team has the best chance to win and end their drought in 2024. By looking at this list oh man, it's tough, it's tough, it's tough, it's tough. If I were just to look at the list, I would probably say that the best chance man would probably be maybe the Rays Just getting vibe of the Rays. I don't know why, but the Rays just speak to me right now. So we'll keep a close eye as this podcast goes on.

Speaker 1:

When we talk about sports and then see what the Rays are doing at this point, it's not often that a 22 year old prospect is the talk of the town on a team that just won his world. Oh, my goodness, it's worlds. Oh goodness, I can't get it out that they just won the first World Series, or he just won his first World Series. But Wyatt Langford is in, your normal 22 year old prospect, the Blue Jays third baseman who is the MVP of the 2023 fall class that continued to tour this spring by hitting two more home runs and a 10 to 4 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday. Langford now has six homers in seven games this spring, so that's good for him, especially a 22 year old prospect coming out. If you're showing this dominance now, early on, it's scary to think, when you actually hit your prime, what you'll be like, because if you're doing this now, when you hit your prime, the numbers are going to be out of this world, barring injury or anything like that. So it's got a bright future.

Speaker 1:

Nba Abraha James scores his 40th 40th thousand sorry point and becomes the first player in history to reach milestone. I reported on that last week at that point in time when it was reached. So at this point it's not only the 40th thousand that he's hit, but it's in counting. So he's continuing on and, as I mentioned before, if he's got at least maybe three more years, we could see him reach a milestone of maybe 45,000. So keep an eye on that.

Speaker 1:

Victor Wimbanyama and Chet Holmgren continue to dazzle in their rookie seasons, leading the rookie of the year race. They're probably going to mess around and be co-rookies of the year. I could easily see that happening with the trajectory that both of them are on. Again, joellen B hopes to return to the floor this season after suffering a left knee injury in late July not July January, sorry. They're probably just going to give him the most rest he can get so that he doesn't re-aggravate it, which would be smart because they're going to need him as they continue on this season and then the NBA foundation surpasses 100 million in grants to create economic empowerment in black communities. And then NFL Minnesota Vikings have decided to part ways with their backup running back, who was due to make 2.1 million in 2024. Matt's in rush for 1,024 yards and seven touchdowns in three seasons with the Vikings.

Speaker 1:

Texas A&M wide receivers stunned the scouts in the NFL combine, which is what you go to before the draft to really show your talents, to really up your prospect level in your draft stock. So back to what I was saying here. I got a little sidetracked talking about what the combine was, but with clocking a blazing 4.19 speed and seconds in speed for the 40 yard dash, breaking the previous record of 4.22 seconds set by John Ross in 2017. And then the NFL is experimenting with new technology that uses cameras and sensors to determine the exact spot of the ball and whether the first down was achieved. The league hopes that this implementation of the system in the near future will improve accuracy and efficiency. And officiating yeah, I'm for it, because there's been times where they call the first down that I felt like it wasn't the case and then they call the first down. There's been a time where there wasn't a first down and it looked clearly at the tape and I was like, yeah, it's the first down, why is that not? And it's cost some teams a game. So definitely, definitely something I'd be interested in implementing here. And then, lastly, the NHL Winnipeg Jets scored five goals in the third period to rally past the Carolina Hurricanes, with Sean Moynihan breaking the tie. With just 3.13 left on the clock, the Washington Capitals have waved forward a Jim Lee Christou Stoff from announcing his first and last name correctly, and they're exploring options ahead of the trade deadline. Christou Stoff was cleared to practice after entering the player assistance program last month, and then the Vancouver Canucks have shifted their focus after signing Elias Patterson Peterson sorry to an extension as a trade deadline approaches.

Speaker 1:

Okay, now on to television. Here are some of the top rated television series Kirby Enthusiasm, season 12, entitled Fish Stuck, features Larry dealing with the aftermath of an incident at the temple. He seeks character reference from his friends, gets involved in naming a baby and is concerned about a fish stuck in an aquarium filter. Got it up, so it was wild. Biggest takeaway was Larry's character called into question, which is always called into question, and him and Vince Vaughn breaking up with their girlfriends by making up a fake disease which was wild in itself, but overall that episode definitely was was really great.

Speaker 1:

American Nightmare, season one, a gripping series that delves into institutional bias and crime. Criminal record season one, a mysterious drama starring Kush, jimbo and Peter Capulti. Then we have Mr and Mrs Smith season one, a spy drama with a mix of action and relationship dynamics starring Donald Over and Maya Erskine. And then Vanderpump Rules, season 11, episode one titled Saw it on the Gram this is a play on words to meaning Instagram. And then James Kennedy. One of the characters on the show has a dog who was once called Graham but has been changed to hippie because of wanting to escape the past drama that he was involved in. Meaning James Kennedy, we decided to also rename the dog to hippie. But in this episode here we just see basically Tom Sandoval, still reeling from season 10's drama, coming into season 11 and slowly trying to make his way back into the fold of the friends. So they decided to go into a retreat in Lake Tahoe and just kind of doing some some building through yoga and therapy, and it seems to be helping. You know, you can't hate people forever, so I think that's what they're learning here the group of friends.

Speaker 1:

And then let's see new releases. We're looking at a show called perimeter coming of age stories set against drug culture and hip hop. Bra follows for longtime friends navigating life relationships. Season four premier soon. Wellsbeth I just seen this on CBS features an unconventional attorney solving crimes with the NYPD. Looks very promising. Kind of quirky unconventional reminds me not that it's the same, but it just gives me vibes of Monk with Tony Shalhoub. And then Royal Crackers two brothers run their family businesses amid their father's coma. Season two premieres here shortly. So if you're looking for that show or familiar with that show, be coming back here.

Speaker 1:

Television shows with great replay value. Superstore follows the lives of employees working at cloud nine, a fictional big box store in St Louis, missouri, and humorously depicts the day to day operations of employees and dynamics of retail environment. Quantum leap the show follows Dr Sam Beckett, a physicist who becomes trapped in the past due to his experiment gone awry. He leaps into the lives of different people, sorting out their problems and changing history and hopes of returning to his own timeline On our own. Now, this is a deep cut.

Speaker 1:

If you've ever watched TGIF on ABC's back in the 90s, you may be familiar with the show, but it was short lived. It was actually kind of a spin off because Journey Smollett played Michelle Tanner's best friend on Full House. So I believe her character basically no longer lived in San Francisco and then moved to St Louis and that's where the show kind of picks up. But the synopsis, though, that I have here says the show centers around the Jericho family consisting of seven siblings of St Louis, missouri, who are left orphaned after a tragic incident. So their oldest brother, josh, takes charge to prevent the family from being split up and put into foster care. The series stars Ralph Lewis, harris and the real life Smollett siblings. So we have Jazz, jacque, jake, jojo, journey and Jesse. It's known for its unique element where Josh disguises himself as Aunt Jacinda to keep the family together. So again, if you're familiar with on our own from TGIF and the early to mid 90s, you would know what I'm talking about. You can actually find it on YouTube, where I think there's probably at least five episodes you can find on YouTube. It's called On Our Own, my brother and me, which is another favorite of mine about two brothers from Charlotte, north Carolina.

Speaker 1:

Show follows the Parker family living in Charlotte, north Carolina, and focuses on the experiences of two brothers, alfie and Edie. Alfie is the oldest brother, often hanging with his best friend, goo. Ooh, goo, man, that kid man. It's one of those things where it's like I don't know who was worse, him or Erkel from Family Matters, because Goo was always doing something. Who has a crush on Alfie's sister, melanie? Yeah, he had it bad for her. He was thirsty and did eat his younger brother navigating his childhood with his friends Darnell and Harry. Darnell always had a tagline or catchphrase that he would, whenever somebody would ask him something or something just seemed too good to be true. Darnell would always chime in and say don't hold your breath. But he would say it very, very bombast and annoyed when saying it as well, but it was a good show, it was a really good show.

Speaker 1:

And then, lastly, video games. So I've got a list here and anybody who's familiar with my podcast, my Twitter that's on there, my handle on the podcast, can correct me if I'm wrong with my list here that I have, but the 25 best video game villains ever Lionel Starkweather, manhunt, magus from Chrono Trigger, the player, tyrone, general Shepherd from Call of Duty, modern Warfare 2. Yeah, I remember, just quick short. I can't even get out. Quick story short. Playstation 3, I played Call of Duty, modern Warfare 2, and that twist at the end with General Shepherd, it was crazy. I didn't expect it coming. You're fighting this massive battle, you're finally getting through, you're born to ship and then all of a sudden the twist hits you with a general. You didn't see it coming. Didn't see it coming.

Speaker 1:

Ridley from Metroid series. Elusive man from Massive Effect Series 2, oh, not Massive Effect series 2, but just Massive Effect series in general. Baldor from I Gotta Wear war sorry, I'm getting bad here. Steven Armstrong from Metal Gear Solid, metal Gear Rising Revenge. Andrew Ryan, bioshock the Master from Fallout. Shang Tsu from Mortal Kombat series. Micah Bell from Red Redemption 2, yeah Ugh, micah was a piece of work, did not care for that guy. Tim from Brad Frang Ngio from Wolfenstein series. Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2, handsome Jack from Borderlands. Strakhla from Castlevania. Albert Wesker from Resident Evil series. Voss Montenegro from Far Cry 3, shodan from System Shock series. Artham's Mendenhall from Warcraft. Bowser from Super Mario. Gladys from Portal. Kefklup Palaza from Final Fantasy 6, ganon Slash Ganondorf from the Legend of Zelda series.

Speaker 1:

And then the new trailer for the Fallout video game adaptation has been released, promising to take a series to the next level. So it's essentially like seeing Fallout 5, but this time it's the live version, so you don't get to interact or play with it, but it's taking Fallout 5 and turning it into a TV show. Ea Sports has reportedly offered players $600 and a free video game copy of College Football 25 when it releases, if they opt in. And then there's significant discussion happening around the use of AI and video game production. This has become a major point of contention in the ongoing negotiations between SAG, aftra and some of the largest video game companies. So I had to keep an eye on that because that was one of the biggest issues during that whole holdout and the use of AI as well. So that will be a very point of contention, as it was mentioned, to look at.

Speaker 1:

All right, besides me getting tongue tied here a few times as I was entering the final stretch, I hope you enjoyed the show this far and the information that I shared from the film what's upcoming from music, from sports, from television and video games. Again, as I say, I do this weekly here, very episodic. If you find the show enjoyable, share it like it, retweet it, introduce a friend, family member, coworker, whoever let's just get it out there and get it big. All right, that's been my time. I am King Chill and this is the King's Perspective. Episode 12, peace.
