Speaker 1:

Hey, hey, hey. Welcome back to the King's Perspective with King Chill, episode 21,. Coming to an end of season one 21 episodes straight, consecutive, consistent that's my new catchphrase there. I'm probably going to get it on a t-shirt. But yeah, man, it's crazy. Who would have thought back on December 25th of 2023, starting the podcast here would have got me to this point here five months later. But we're here five months later. But we're here. And again I want to thank my loyal listeners out there, whoever you are, that tune in each and every week to listen, because it really means a lot. It means that I'm doing something correct at this point with the podcast episodes. It's just a weekly rundown here of your favorite films, music, sports, television, and then a light dust off with video games, whatever's going on with that. But yeah, man, I mean that's it as mundane and boring. The monotony of it all each and every week to record the same melodic or formulatic things seem to be still interested coming out and listening. Again, I'm King Chill. This is a King's Perspective where I just run down here the weekly pop culture things happening. So, with that being said, why don't we go ahead and get started with film?

Speaker 1:

Here are some of the most popular movies available right now Fall Guy. This action comedy film stars Ryan Gosling, emily Blunt, aaron Taylor-Johnson and Stephanie Hughes. It follows a stuntman who faces various challenges in the stunt community With a mix of action comedy romance. It's a movie that aims to entertain everyone with a mix of action comedy romance. It's a movie that aims to entertain everyone. Again, people ask for something different with this in general in movies, and this one is different. It's got an element of everything that you would kind of want for a film. I was just reading on it. It said that the film budget was like I think 140 million. Film budget was like I think 140 million and I think it made back like 180, 190 million. So it made its money back in just a little, but it didn't do quite what people thought it should or would do. But you know, sometimes you can't let numbers persuade you into thinking that this film was a dead. It actually seems like it was legit unique film. So you know, just try to minimize the budget, but you'll make it back in return eventually. With any small time filmmakers, I feel like that's the case here. So don't let the numbers dissuade you that it's a bad film here. So don't let the numbers dissuade you that it's a bad film.

Speaker 1:

The Idea of you, based on the acclaimed contemporary love story, anne Hathaway plays Solene, a woman navigating love and life Unfrosted. A sweet, colorful film set in 1963, michigan, where Kellogg's and Post engage in a pastry rivalry. The movie features Jerry Seinfeld, melissa McCarthy, jim Gaffigan and Amy Schumer. All right, now we've got some new releases here for this Friday for you to check out Strangers, chapter 1. In this movie, a young couple's car breaks down in an eerie small town, forcing them to spend a night in a remote cabin. They are terrorized by three masked strangers, seemingly no motive.

Speaker 1:

Back to Black, which I talked about, I think, on the last episode or the episode before that about Amy Winehouse, while it's making its official debut this Friday here in the US, again, it's a biographical film here, a drama based on the British singer Amy Winehouse. The film provides an intimate look at Amy Winehouse's journey from adolescence to adulthood, capturing music, struggles and creation of her groundbreaking album Back to Black. Now I say oof, because I was fumbling over my words there. This will be interesting, so it's giving you a bit of her growing up, a bit of her background on everything there for her and then also showing the making of that album, at least from those who were around, amy Winehouse, and then also her telling basically on those recording and what they could kind of piece together what her mindset was or what she was thinking. And then we have If Imaginary Friend as an upcoming animated comedy drama film directed by John Krasinski. The story revolves around a young girl named Bea who experienced a difficult situation in her life. Unexpectedly, she gains the ability to see people's imaginary friends, referred as IFs for short, who have been abandoned by kids they once helped. As Bea discovers a magical ability, she embarks on an adventure to reconnect the forgotten IFs with their original companions. Sounds like an interesting film.

Speaker 1:

Now we've got films with great replay value. We've got Christmas Story Set during the holiday season. This film offers a cynical yet funny perspective on Christmas. It becomes a holiday classic and despite its oversaturation it charms and remains intact which it does. Despite its oversaturation, it charms and remains intact which it does. It plays, I think, during Thanksgiving and Christmas. I've kind of gotten out of watching that film, but I do know it's chokehold on pop culture and the American community, so it had to be added to this list. You know Ralphie, and you know wanting that BB gun and you know almost shooting his eye out. You know that was always the catchphrase You're going to shoot your eye out, but the film overall, just yeah. You can't go anywhere where people probably don't have this on their top 10 holiday list of films to watch, whether it be, like I said, thanksgiving or Christmas right around that time. We've got another film here. He's Got Game.

Speaker 1:

My synopsis breakdown here is the film is about Jake Shuttlesworth, portrayed by Denzel Washington, who is a convicted felon serving time at Attica Correctional Facility for accidentally killing his wife, martha, who is also the mother of his son, jesus Shuttlesworth, played by Ray Allen. Jesus is the top high school basketball player in the United States and is being persuaded by several colleges in their basketball programs. Jake is granted a work release by the governor of influential alumnus of Big State, one of the colleges Jesus is considering. The governor hopes that Jake can persuade his son to sign with big state in exchange for early parole release or early prison release. Um, yeah, so that film was crazy because it is exactly just that.

Speaker 1:

Um, where denzel washington's character is trying to reconnect with his son, essentially um, who he's lost time because the incident. In the incident it says he killed his wife. But it's not a malicious act, it was by accident. But it was negligent because he was arguing with his son at the time, jesus, who he's trying to train to be a basketball star. But he was putting him through rigorous tests for a child who was like maybe no more nine or 10. And the mother thought it was a little bit rigorous. So they basically have a blow up on the court and it transfers over the father and son to the dinner table and son basically storms off and the father catches him trying to storm off and grabs him by the arm and tell him to sit down and eat his food. He's fussing at him, the wife's on his shoulder trying to tell him to calm down and he's brushing her off by pushing her away. But I guess he didn't realize how hard he had pushed her. She falls, hits her head on the stove, dies. So that's how Jake ends up in the prison system and then everything along the way of that film it goes to show you them trying to reconnect in Jake's personal demons and Jesus' personal demons and needing a close-knit family to be around him during this difficult time of choosing a college being a number one prospect like that.

Speaker 1:

So the film shows you the life of a up and coming professional basketball player and the ill guts and gains, and then also family being involved. So yeah, it was definitely interesting. I've got another one for you guys. Remember the Titans? I've got another one for you guys. Remember the Titans. Yes, again, denzel. But hey, this one probably by far is one of the best football films that you could watch. You can go anywhere in the early to mid 2000s without hearing somebody mention this film. So let me give you my synopsis on that.

Speaker 1:

So in 1971 in Alexandria, virginia. So in 1971 in Alexandria, virginia, in City's high school football scene undergoes a significant transformation. The school board is forced to integrate all black school with an all white one, challenging the very foundation of football tradition. College Herman Boone, portrayed by Denzel Washington, takes charge of the team. Despite the challenges and resistance, he helps the players overcome their different differences and work together. Through hard work, determination, mutual respect, they become a united team, overcoming prejudice and achieving success on the field. The movie beautifully illustrates how sports can bring people together. Beautifully illustrates how sports can bring people together.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, film, just that top of my head. You've got Donald Faison from Clueless and Scrubs. Then you've got who I just talked about earlier. Ryan Gosling from Stuntman or no Fall Guy sorry, but he's a stuntman was in that film Wood Harris. You may remember Wood Harris from a bevy of films but most importantly, his biggest role would have been at the time well, not at the time, but after this would have been the Wire. Let's see who else did we have in this film? That was a sleeper that came out. Those are the biggest stars to name besides Denzel. So I mean, the film again, you know, based on my synopsis is again black white coming together for one common goal winning. And winning helps solve all things, even during a time of segregation and racial prejudice and things of that nature. But the film definitely beautifully illustrates that and brought that small, closed-mind town together through sports.

Speaker 1:

Now on to music, famous musicians from Texas. Well, you already know who's going to be number one on the list Beyonce. Born in Houston, texas, in 1981, beyonce started her career as a lead singer of the American girl group Destiny's Child during the late 90s. They were a huge hit and became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. She eventually went on solo in 2003, and she released her first solo album, dangerously In Love.

Speaker 1:

Now, this one caught me off guard because I didn't know this. But Willie Nelson, the iconic figure in country music, willie Nelson was born in Abbott, texas. Yes, that's correct. His distinctive voice, songwriting skills and outlaw image have made him a beloved artist worldwide. And then I would be remissed if we did not have this individual on this list. I'd probably get fried and crucified. But Selena yes, selena, known as the queen of Texan music, is what they call it achieved immersed popularity before her tragic passing. For her tragic passing. Texas music, or Texan music, continues to thrive in Texas, with artists like Lost Tex Mechanics no-transcript, my maniacs. There we go. Sorry, I carry in the torch. I don't know why. I said mechanics, so they're carrying on the torch for her. Now, I didn't get a chance to touch on this one here, so I wanted to spend a little little, little, little little little time here. I know you guys are not going to want to hear this, but I found it interesting. It's music. I know you guys are not going to want to hear this, but I found it interesting. It's music.

Speaker 1:

Drake and Kendrick Lamar recap, or beef, or battle. I just wanted to go into detail about it and kind of get my two cents on it and just give you the timeline of this year For some of you that know, maybe some of you that don't know, because there's, surprisingly, people who don't know. But okay, so we have Drake, pop star rapper from Canada. Kendrick Lamar rapper artist from the United States, by the way Compton, california. All right, so here's my rundown, or here's my timeline.

Speaker 1:

So March 22nd we have Kendrick Lamar, who is on the record with Future and Metro Boomin, called Like that, where he basically sends a direct shot at Drake and J Cole J Cole's another rapper artist from North Carolina. So then wait about a week or two, about April 13th Drake responds back with pushups. It's a direct response to Kendrick Lamar and Drake states in there you ain't no big three. Sza got you wiped down, travis got you wiped down, 21 Savage got you wiped down. So you're basically saying, with your collaborations with Travis, scott, sza and 21 Savage, they basically held you down and gave you cred, street cred, notoriety, and gave you some number one hits. If it wasn't for them, you wouldn't be where you're at now, which is false. But that's what happens when you're going back and forth. You want to kind of skew the facts, ok.

Speaker 1:

So April 24th, drake responds back again with a second diss track called Taylor Made. Now, this one was a little weird because it was AI assisted, meaning that he had the usage or help of artificial intelligence. And what he did with that is he used Tupac, who's gone, and Snoop Dogg, who's live, which was weird because if you wanted to get Snoop Dogg on a track, you could have easily asked him to get on that track and rap. Now, would he have gone at Kendrick Lamar? No, because Snoop Dogg's from Long Beach City in California and usually most of your California rappers stick together. And then the fact that just a few years ago, at a concert, snoop Dogg christened or ordained Kendrick Lamar as the new king of the West Coast as far as rap. So I highly doubt Snoop would have want to jump on a record with you to be dissing Kendrick Lamar. So that's probably why he did the AI, but it was way out of bounds. When he did the Tupac part. I was like, bro, what are you doing? Then we have April 30th, then we have April 30th.

Speaker 1:

So about six days later, unannounced, kendall Kumar hits back with Euphoria, a six and a half minute track. This is where it gets more complicit with Lamar's Euphoria. It hits like an opus, unleashing a slew of allegations against Drake. He comes after Drake's skills as a rapper using AI, the appearance of being by racial identity and cultural appropriation and his parenting. So it hit hard. It hit super duper hard to where Drake didn't really respond. But he was making little memes on Instagram about it, but he didn't respond back, which was weird. But just be a meme, okay. Then on May 30th no, no, no, not May 30th on May 3rd sorry, may 3rd Kendrick follows back up again and drops another diss record 616 in LA.

Speaker 1:

And now here is the next. This track here by Kendrick Lamar, aimed at Drake. Kendrick targets the company Drake keeps. Have you ever thought that OVO was working for me? Fake bully. I hate bullies. Drake raps I ain't not Drake. Kendrick raps referencing Drake's record label. You must be a terrible person. So in that he alluded that and he tried to set the stage, meaning Kendrick Lamar, when he aimed this diss record 616 in LA, that basically saying that I have an informant in your camp of OVO and they're feeding me all this information. They're telling me all this stuff about you that you're a horrible person, nobody likes you and they would rather see you gone permanently from the scene. So when you kind of put that out there in the air, you're setting the stage like that. Now you've got Drake basically second guessing the people in his crew or in his camp and setting up second guessing the people in his crew or in his camp and setting up massive paranoia.

Speaker 1:

Ok, then that same day, drake releases, may 3rd towards the evening, a song called Family Matters evening. A song called Family Matters. Drake hits back with a music video, nearly eight minute response, in which he alleges abuse, infidelity and Kendrick Lamar's relationship from his fiance and how she had an illegitimate child with Dave Free. Dave Free is from Top Dog Entertainment and I believe Dave Free is like really good friends with Kendrick Lamar and I think he's like some type of manager, right. So, yeah, that whole record trade just going in, talking about how that child is not his and his girlfriend or fiance cheat on him. This is all alleged no proof to be so. I want to put in air quotations allegedly that this was the case, right? So now he's trying to set the stage of Kendrick. You might want to check your girl because she's stepping out on you, right, but who to better know if that's the truth or not than Kendrick Lamar? But the audience, us, we don't know that. So these allegations are like wow, like this is, this is earth scorching, like what's going on here.

Speaker 1:

So then, literally 30 minutes later but it comes into the next day we have May 4th, so it was like midnight, essentially on the West Coast here Kendrick Lamar releases another track called Meet the Grams. Almost immediately afterward, kendrick releases Meet the Grams, which begins with Kendrick addressing Drake's son, stating I'm sorry that man is your father. Lamar also addresses Drake's parents, a baby girl, alleging that Drake has another secret child. It was earth scorching on this one At this point in time. If we were doing like a boxing match, meet the Grams and 616 basically were like two haymakers, but this last haymaker with meet the grams addressed to Drake, would have knocked him on his butt, so this would have been a knockout, well, a scored knockdown for him.

Speaker 1:

All the allegations in that record just were just nasty, I mean completely nasty. I put it up there with no Vaseline by Ice Cube and I put it up there with Tupac's. This Towards BIG and it escapes me. And this is so sad, but I'm about to get it. Hit Em Up, yes, hit Em Up. Sorry, it took me so long to remember that song, but yes, when people think about this record, hit Em Up is always number one because it's just the way Tupac came, on that record towards BIG. And then I would say no Vaseline. But it's interchangeable, because I feel like not enough people give Ice Cube credit for no Vaseline because he literally on one record by himself, had a disc aimed at everybody Dr Dre, eazy-e, mc Rand, dj Yella and Jerry Heller.

Speaker 1:

Now, this was at the time when Ice Cube had just basically got kicked out of NWA and he was like you know what Shortly after getting kicked out, because he was doing his thing, but he had heard them talking crazy about him and then he decided to make a reply back and it was no Vaseline Ugly. So this Meet the Grams is right up there with those two records. So then we have Drake. No, no, no, not even Drake, sorry, get my timeline mixed up. No, no, no, not even Drake, sorry, I'm getting my timeline mixed up. So then, not even 24 hours later, kendrick Lamar releases another track called Not Like Us. Kendrick doubles down, releasing Not Like Us, produced by DJ Muster.

Speaker 1:

Kendrick states Drake say Drake, I hear you like I'm young, you better never go on cell block. So all I can say is, just based off of that line, what he's alluding or alleging when he says say Drake, I hear you like I'm young, you can put two and two together. But in the this battle, this song alone not only gives you a quality diss, but it gives you a means to dance to, which is crazy. So he out-draped Drake with being able to make a catchy song that you could play in a club, and it was also a diss. So I can tell you right now Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar.

Speaker 1:

Literally, I was just walking a business complex for exercise on Saturday. I'm walking not even paying attention, just minding my own business. You know what I'm saying. And then, all of a sudden, I hear this car rolling past me and I hear the bass, and then I'm like dang, that's a car bumping really loud, what is it? And then I hear the bass first, and then I hear the instrumentation and then, next thing, I know I hear they not like us, they not like us, they not like us. I'm like yo, like this song is blowing up like crazy, like you cannot go anywhere without hearing it. So it was just like it's officially about to be summer and this is about to be the song of the summer at this point. And it's a diss song talking crazy about Drake and everybody just get, as soon as it come on, everybody getting up dancing. So it was just like, eh, what can you do now to end the battle? Well, not even to end the battle.

Speaker 1:

But Drake did reply May 5th with the heart part six, referencing Kendrick Lamar's heart series. So Drake drops the heart part six in response to Drake's challenge towards Kendrick Lamar's allegations. So he doubles down on his own against him and says that he does not have a secret daughter. Drake, though on the song sounds notably lethargic and potentially taking a final bow out with the first. Like you know, at least your fans are getting some raps out of you. I'm happy I could motivate you. Yeah, like when you listen to the song. Like all he, drake meeting on the hurt part six.

Speaker 1:

He didn't say anything different that we haven't heard already. You keep saying the same thing that, oh, I heard that you, you know, with your fiancee, slash wife allegedly. You, you, you truly do take the term wife beater very strongly, and we're not talking about the T-shirts. I'm like, oh, ok, bro, okay. And then you say it again, uh, on raps later. Then you keep saying that dave, free is the the father of one of your child, of one of his children. So it's just like, okay, uh, we get it. But you said that like two raps ago, like two, three battle raps of four. So it was like you came on this one here, say you had something earth shattering and it was the same stuff. And this is like, yeah, you lost. And, by the way, you ended the rap you basically sound very tired, worn out, because you couldn't really compete back with him, because there wasn't nothing you could say.

Speaker 1:

So I wanted to take some time out to just go over that one. I was very entertaining. Uh, between the two of them when, when you think of it, it's like Michael Jackson versus Prince, it'd be like Beyonce versus Taylor Swift, it would be like Michael Jordan versus Kobe or Michael Jordan versus LeBron Two artists in their prime going back and forth trading blows for entertainment. So I mean, at this point, what more could you ask for? I'm a fan of both. So I love to see the verbal sparring and seeing who could come up with witty, clever lines and who had dirt that we didn't know about said artists, because that's another thing. I think most people want to know certain personal aspects of an artist that you may not know. So most of these things are all alleged, so we can't really take them for granted. But it was just essentially nice to have a battle between those two because it had been brewing, simmering for a while and it finally came to a head and some people tell you Drake won, some people tell you Kendrick Lamar won. To me, no, I'm trying not to be biased, but I would have to say Kendrick did win. Just based off of Meet the Grams and they Not Like Us, it blew everything away that Drake was trying to attempt to come at Kendrick Lamar with. But overall, again an A-plus battle between them, a plus battle between them and glad that it just stuck to wax and nothing crazy happening like a Biggie and Pac situation.

Speaker 1:

Moving on to sports, we have here in MLB. We have Luis Arzaz, two-time defending batting champion. Started the season 0 for 13 in his first two-plus games. However, he quickly turned things around. Since then, initially hitless at bat, arias has been hitting well. Paul Skeen's top pitching prospect made his major league debut for the Pirates. He's considered a special talent and has drawn comparisons to Steven Strasburg. And then here, houston Astros hit two stat-cast shattering home runs in his first inning against the New York Yankees. Alvarez's blast was recorded at 116.8 miles and singletons at 115.4 miles per hour.

Speaker 1:

Now on to the NBA. We have Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz, not Utah Jazz, I'm sorry, sorry. Rudy Gobert, formerly of the Utah Jazz, now the Minnesota Timberwolves, has won the Kia Defensive Player of the Year for the fourth time in his career, joins the Kimi Matumbo and Ben Wallace as the only players in NBA history to win the award four times. Now fanatic surprise, san Antonio Spurs rookie Wimby, or like I like to call him as, victor Wimbinyama, with a special exhibit featuring former Kia NBA Rookies of the Year winners, including LeBron James. So essentially we all knew what's going to happen that Victor was going to win Rookie of the Year. It was just only a matter of time before it got announced. But I mean, he's had a phenomenal year. Now the record doesn't speak for it. They're not in the playoffs, but just from what we've seen off this raw potential, his future looks pretty darn good.

Speaker 1:

And then, despite missing Rudy Gobert, the Timberwolves held the Nuggets to 80 points and secured a 2-0 lead. Now an update on that series here. As I was talking here, the Minnesota Timberwolves went into Denver and beat them two games and then went back home and looked like they were going to close the series out at home. But now, especially as of today, the series is tied 2-2. So Minnesota went in and stole two from Denver at home. Denver came to Minnesota and went in and stole two games from Minnesota at their home. So now it's tied 2-2,. Heading back to Denver, at this point it's going to be a seven-game series. I think. With game five I see the Denver Nuggets definitely winning at home and then it's going to be a must-win for Denver. Game five, denver wins, but when game six hits it's going to be a must win for Minnesota, otherwise they get closed out. I don't think it would happen because it looks like it's going to go to seven. But if it does, it's crazy because Minnesota Timberwolves got off to a great start by beating and closing out the Phoenix Suns by sweeping them, and it looked like it was going to happen again here. But looks like whatever was going on with Denver, they woke up out of that slumber and said, nope, we're taking two games here in Minnesota and we're heading back home. So we'll keep our eyes on this series as the playoffs between those two go on. The playoffs between those two go on.

Speaker 1:

Now, as far as NFL, we have Raheem Morset commenting on the Dolphins drafting another running back. Raheem says the more the merrier. Cole Kemet is optimistic about the Bears infrastructure, supporting Caleb Williams, which is great because he's going to need it, because they can't keep drafting good potential quarterbacks and then letting them go because they just let Justin Fields go, while trading him to Pittsburgh Steelers, which is my squad now. And it's looking good for Pittsburgh because they've got Russell Wilson, who's the OG, the veteran, and then I feel like Justin, behind Russell, can learn a thing or two. So then, when it's his time to step up Pittsburgh Steelers, future looks bright. And then Joe Burrow of the Bengals expressed that his wrist felt good following a workout and shared his dedication to improving. So that's good.

Speaker 1:

Now on to the NHL. We have the Oilers could be without Drostosto and Hearn Q in Game 2. Edmund Oilers forwards are day-to-day which could impact their performance in the series. Rangers win Game 3 in OT. Push Hawkins to the brink. Arturum or Artium, thank you, and Parnini I'm probably bad at pronouncing these hockey players' names, but Parnian, I think that's the name scored at one minute and 43 seconds in overtime and Igor Shorskin made 45 saves for the New York Rangers, securing a crucial victory against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Avalanche can overcome stakes in game two loss despite strong efforts. So the Colorado Avalanche fell short in game two against the Dallas Stars. So as of right now, I'm pretty sure it could be updated, but this is what I have right now for the team. So hopefully they can overturn that, otherwise their season's over.

Speaker 1:

All right Now on the television. Here are some of the current popular television shows that you can enjoy. Right now we have Shogun. Visually scrumptious and enriched with cultural, shogun is considered the best adaptation or epic adaptation that outdoes the original. And then they also it wasn't. They weren't sure what they wanted to do with it. It wasn't sure if it was confirmed or not. But now they have picked it up for a season two. But it means that now they're going to build off where it ended on season one and do all original creation for season two, because season one was just solely off the book and it was only enough for material for a season one was just solely off the book and it was only enough for material for a season one and there's no other book out there or part two of the book. So, yeah, the writers are getting in that room right now as we speak and are on their way to try to create a season two, the feed off of what they have from season one. So if they're doing that, so if they're doing that, probably two years from now you'll see season two of Shogun.

And then here for television new releases. Just one for now to check out this week. This week we have Big Cigar is a TV miniseries that follows the life of Huey P Newton as he escapes from Cuba to avoid prosecution for murder, with the help of Burt Snyder, the Hollywood producer behind Easy Rider, as well as a few other celebrity celebrity radicals. This story is an incredible blend of Hollywood revolution, meaning social revolution involving an elaborate plan that goes wrong in every way possible. Now television shows with great replay value we have. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The series revolves around escapades of the gang, a group of narcissists and sociopath friends who run the Irish Drive Bar Patty's Pub in South Philadelphia, pennsylvania. Despite their failing bar business, they spend most of their free time drinking, scheming, arguing amongst each other and concocting elaborate cons against each other.

Vice Principals. This show focuses on an ill-tempered, dogmatic and disliked vice principal of North Jackson High School, neil Gimby, and ambitious of being promoted to the principal's chair when the current principal is due to step down. However, the principal, who's getting ready to retire, does not trust Neal and reveals that he's going to hire or outsource to another principal. So now you've got Neal going up against the co-vice president, co-vice principal sorry, lee Russell, russell. So they both think that they are are going to have a chance to prove themselves before they're outsourced. But it doesn't happen, because they do end up outsourcing to another principal, dr Belinda, and so she's hired to a female principal principal. So then at that point you have this two, where you have Lee Russell and Neil Gimby, who don't like each other now find themselves working together or with one another to get Dr Belinda out of the office, which they do succeed. When they do succeed, then the principal's chair opens back up and then at that point it's free reign for the two of them. So it's just based on merits and who did what for how long. So then at that point it only lasts for two seasons. But season one shows all that. Then season two shows who got principal, how long it lasted and all the inks of trying to keep a school run under either Neil's leadership or Lee Russell's leadership. But overall the lengths that the two of them go to try to be principal, it's astounding crazy, but it makes for a good show with the lengths of what they try to do.

And then, here to close out replay shows, we have the Bernie Mac show, inspired by a segment from the original Kings of Comedy, in which Bernie Mac took on his sister's children after she entered rehab. The show focused on his love for his family while still displaying his comedic chops. Mack often broke the fourth wall throughout the show to speak directly to the audience to share his thoughts on a particular topic, which became a charming aspect of the show. It ran for five seasons and ended in 2006. So, yeah, that show in particular is still in syndication. You can still catch it on pretty much any network, or I would say, since it was probably Fox, so probably Hulu now at this point. But yeah, definitely great show, especially his fourth wall breaking in topics. You know his fourth wall breaking in topics. You know always, you know, beat him to the white meat shows was always his catchphrase, but it always got him in trouble with CPS. But for the most part, yeah, he definitely just kept it real. So I think that's what most people love the show for.

Now, on the video games, some of the happenings here in video games we have Sega in Europe is recently laying more people off. So the again the video game world is taking a major hit and they cannot keep staffed people staffed, so they've got to let some people go. But hopefully there's some type of turnaround in one of these quarters where they can generate some revenue back and maybe not have to continue to let people go. Now Gearbox Software, the studio behind the popular video game series Borderlands, is working on a new game. Fans are eagerly awaiting for more details about this upcoming game.

Speaker 1:

So some popular games for this week trending, we have. Minecraft has become a pop culture phenomenon, impacting industry and inspiring numerous imitations. Super smash bros ultimate remains massively popular within the esports circuit and continues to be relevant years after its release. And then Red Dead Redemption Set in an era of outlaws, gunslingers, this game vividly depicts the twilight Sorry Years of the Wild West. It's epic western adventure that basically immerses players. That basically immerses players with the rich detail, the detailing of your player, the detailing of the horse, the gear that you would need to wear when riding a horse, for the weather when it changes depending on where you go, what you need for your horse. Just that alone. You can spend hours upon hours getting yourself together before you even hit the road, riding a horse from one part of the town to the next. So a game like that I can see why it's still trending and trending for this week as a popular game of the week.
