  Yep,

I was away for three weeks. I was at my sister's wedding in London, England, and I didn't know what to expect. It's an area that I'm not familiar with and having a wedding there and being playing a big role in it and just navigating the streets and trying to get from the venue from one venue to another, it was It was different, but you know what?

It went really smooth. It went extremely smooth. And my sister's happy at the end of the day.

that's great. When I was 14 and I landed in, Nah.  I think it was Heathrow airport. It's cool with their trains and stuff. They get you from place to place. Then we went down to Brighton, England.  We visited my great auntie and uncle. Yeah, my, my grandma, which we call Nan,  her sister.

And yeah, my mom had a,  had a blockage and  yeah, she has colitis.  So. Yeah, that was an interesting overseas yeah like healthcare scenario, but Yeah, I know, everything feels so different and so cool. I don't know.

Sean, how long ago was that when you were in England?

I was 14, so that's 36  years ago.

Yeah, I'm sure if you went back now, things  would have changed like drastically in so many

Yeah, World War, modern. You had the experience. Tell me about just being there during during Euro. Cool.

Yeah, it was the Euro started I think it was either the day of the wedding, which was last Friday. And if I can remember correctly here, last Friday was,  Sorry, Friday the 14th was the wedding. So it was almost about a week and a half ago. And I think the Euro started around then. I think it was the 14th  or the 15th that the Euro started.

And the 15th, the day after the wedding, Saturday, my my cousin's my first cousin's husband. So I consider him my brother in law. We went London and it's an area called Central. And we just We bounced around from one like bar to another just watching the watching the Euro.

So we watched like, there was a few games on that day. We must have saw all three or bits and pieces of all three. And the energy was nice. And like Sunday, we all flew out on Sunday, but England was playing on Sunday. But otherwise it would have been something else to see the energy of the hometown crowd downtown, yeah.

Yeah,

Yeah.

So they, so like your weddings start on the Wednesday or Thursday?

the wedding started on Tuesday and that was the day, yeah, yeah, we,

We flew in we, we flew into so before, before London, I went on a cruise with my uncle and this cruise went to Iceland

and Norway, believe it or not, it was a 10 day cruise and then from Norway, we flew into Heathrow, London  and so that?

was the Tuesday morning.

And that night or that afternoon, my mom and dad and my sister flew in as well. So we

all kind of flew in the same day and we had a wedding event that night and that was my, my sister, there was a bit of what do you call it? There's a bit of a scare.

it's no, it's like the the prince and the princess getting married.

you

can call it that. Yeah. you can call it that. But

seriously.

My sister is Punjabi background and born and raised in Canada. So our ethnicity is Indian and he's born and raised in the United Kingdom and his background is Punjabi as well.

And so

so you

they meet?

You know, that's a really good question.

They met, They met in Spain actually and They met in Spain about a year before the wedding. Let's say is my understanding

Kate, did I have dinner with her?

Dinner. You did have dinner with her in Nanaimo. Yeah

and my kids. The

one. Yeah, there was two there, the

older one and the younger one?

Oh my god.  That's so cool.

Yeah, bro.  So there was a bit A bit of a scare though, because the first event was Tuesday night, and  I think you know like when someone's from the UK and they want to immigrate to  the UK passport is so strong that they can go into any like British system, right?

Like the, like Canada Australia, they can just

Like when you fly, you get, yeah, you get red flagged Of course.  right?

it says as rear gill and born and raised in terrorist BC, say terrorist three times fast, right?

Yeah.

Yeah.

It's like automatically body search and yeah,

Nowadays have,

down naked and bend over.

Yeah, that happened once back in 2012 when I was my first time flying abroad and then the challenge was coming back into North America. They're like, okay, who's this immigrant trying to get back into or get, get, get illegally go into North America. But

Because that's what you guys do, right?

you're right,

They

You guys do that all over the place, man. Oh,

 okay.

I just, I just, I just want to. Like vibe there, bro. Yeah.

That nowadays they have me stamped in the system. So they, they see that I'm a frequent traveler. So there's, there's no issues today, because

cause CIA is watching you. So it's all

maybe they're

just waiting for that one big bus, right? Is that what

no, they're just like yeah. We're on this guy. We can watch them anywhere. So,

yeah.

They're like, yeah, it's all good. Yeah. You got this guy. He's totally clean.

Why go after the small stuff when you can wait

You're not even small. You're honest. You're honest. You're a good guy, right?

So

If you say so, yes.

if I say so, yeah, I do

So that night on Tuesday my sister, when she's Canadian and she's trying to, I think she applied for a five year in the UK  and there was, There was like, they did their civil in Canada last year. So that process has already started, but then the whole thing about,

from bc?

yeah, she's from British Columbia,

but she

wants to live in the UK for a bit the paperwork wasn't submitted in full. And because of that, there was a bit of a wait for my sister to a point where okay, is she going to make it into the country this time around?

No way

have family and

Oh, it's like you're

 we

have family and friends arriving on Wednesday. It's okay, are we like, what's going on here? So

the bride's not like legally entered into the cup into the country

I think, I

it all worked out. You know what I

mean? so so she got in, but it was a bit of a scare. It was almost like a 10, 12 hour wait. You know what I mean?

know it doesn't matter because we're all connect Yeah, your sisters are so awesome, man. Wow.

Yeah.

Like my kid, like I talked with Keegan, yeah, about the dinner and like Gavin ah, do you remember it? They're like, yeah. So Gavin made the football team. Oh my God.

man. Yeah.

know. Not even me, but just Gavin. In general,

I mean, for your son. Yeah. that's what I

was directing that congratulations to, but

Oh, thank you.

yeah. Yeah.

How, how, how are your kids? doing though? Like overall, like how are they doing?

Summer? Yeah.  Both your sons.

Keegan's he's taking summer courses at university he's taking English and History as his like full full subjects. Yeah, Gavin's just, yeah, gonna work out and yeah, practice, yeah, his techniques for free safety,

Amazing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

But, yeah, my mom and dad are doing good. The lawn is awesome. Yeah, me and Gav yeah, we cut the lawn every Saturday and I was just down by the pool,

Yep.

not feeling good.

Yeah, downtown. I don't know if you, yeah, you gotta hit it up.

Yeah. And I'm actually looking forward to the the trip that's coming up. So it's Canada day long weekend is coming up and, super excited about it. And the last time I was in Winnipeg was, I think it was like burger month last November, I believe. And

Burger Week.

Burger Week. gotcha.

But it could be, it doesn't matter. Cause I don't know.  There's a lot of, there's a lot of good places. Winnipeg's just, oh, man.  It's tough out here.

How

just for the crime,

Right?

Yeah.

Like overdoses,

Yeah, that's, it's pretty  prevailing around the country. Yeah.

But I'm just glad my kids are, yeah, being, yeah, good guys. And I don't got to worry about me.

Yeah.

Like I don't dabble in that shit. So just yeah, glad that yeah, you and I connected again cause I hadn't talked to you in three weeks and it was throwing me off.

Yeah,

I paid for Wi Fi on the cruise ship, the Norwegian cruise line but in the Arctic waters, it's so choppy and disconnected that it was like sending an email, like one email an hour is what I had enough bandwidth for if that's  And they knew that and I should have realized because I bought the internet package for it was like 300, but it was half price.

And I'm like, why is it half price before the flight? They knew they clearly knew

would not

going to work. So all that aside they reimbursed like everyone, the money

for, for that, that package. And so that, that was nice of them, of course, but lessons learned cause I brought my laptop and I wanted to do work.

I got personal work I can do.

Plus I wanted to podcast on there. Cause I met some interesting folks,

uh, on the cruise ship.

would have been so

you know how being in a brand new environment, you just better for idea generation when you look out, how often do you get to wake up and look outside and you got

And walk the pantheon, or walk the, or the what was it? When we would walk the path,

Yeah.

like in Edgewood

Oh, the, the

the rat trail they called it or the,

no, not the rat

The rabbit, the,

rabbit trail.

no, the the, it was like a path.

Yeah.

Pantheon?

Okay. I don't recall, but I do remember like

the, the rabbit.

I walked that before I gave you your coin. Pantheon?

Okay.

Like I thought about exactly  what I was gonna say.

Got you. so

it the Pantheon?

I don't remember,

bro. But I remember like the rabbit trail is what people made reference to, but maybe I'm thinking of a

Like when we walked on there? Yeah.

Yeah, Like

we would have a half an hour for like either working out or going for a walk and we would just do that loop.  I know what you're talking about.

I think it was the rabbit trail, but

Remember when you wanted to jog to this lake?

I do remember that. Yeah.

And I was like, you're  crazy. And then me and this other girl, we stood back. We're like, this is gay. And like you actually made it there and back but because you're 10 years younger

Yeah, so back to the Arctic. I just, I wanted to say that I wanted to keep in touch. I wanted to keep in touch with you for three weeks, man. It just, I was disconnected. And then actually the last week at the wedding, I was. Connected, but I was busy. I kept my personal laptop away. I'm like, you know what, how often does my sister get married?

I'm all hands on deck. Whatever they want me to do. Let's just rock it and dude it went by so quick It went by like the five days it went by

so quick But it all went smooth minus like a small little like water leak at

day But we ended up nipping that in the butt. What's that?

It starts on tuesday

no, the wedding was on Friday.

The main, there was one small event on Tuesday, then the wedding was Friday. That was it. There was one other event in between but dude, it was good. I'm glad I'm back. I'm actually looking forward to Winnipeg, I think this weekend, I'm coming to Winnipeg this

weekend.

you are man

Yeah. So I'm going to.

We're gonna lay it down like the whole like history

Yeah.

find your yeah You're gonna find your roots here,

yeah. I want to look at some areas too, because I've been looking at just random real estate just as a hobby. And I want to

see, I want to see some of these

areas for myself. Yeah.

And then we can cause you got history there. You got freaking 300 years of history in Winnipeg.

Yeah. Or just but the whole St. Lawrence Seaway

from 1780 or 17,  what was it? 1784? Yeah, the French, like I was part of the first French settlers, like before Thunder Bay and all that.

gotcha.

Sean just hold on. I'm going to run to the washroom. And I'll be right back. Hey, I'm just going

to Break. Yep.

okay.

Yeah so I'm going to head over on Thursday night, probably. And,

In here,

that's my plan just to hang out for a few days and we got a lot to catch up on and I'm looking forward to some like good food and just like scoping it out. We can hit up some meetings, we can do all of that stuff.

So yeah that's the plan.

Yeah, pretty much. Thursday to, to Sunday night?

I'd say Monday, Monday's a holiday, so I can

drive back Monday

drive back. Okay.

yeah.

That's some serious shit, man. Yeah, we could, uh, what do you want to visit?

We can do some historical sites, but we can

check out some

and all that. I'm down for that.

Like high end development or just

We could

check it out. I'm

that have been built in the last couple of years and then you use steel, right?

yeah,

Yeah.

I never know until I check it out. So we can go scope it out.

Okay. Are you flying down or driving?

Still debating. I have time. I think I'm going to drive down. But if I'm strapped for time, I'll just jump on a plane.

Because you have my truck

yeah, Yeah, for

the Ford F 150 FXR 5 liter.

Yeah, let me see how I feel tomorrow.

Yours. You fly down, you have a truck.

I appreciate you, man. I respect that.

Because my truck is way better than yours, probably.

Sure.

To

me, it's a vehicle that gets me from point A to B. But I appreciate that, man. I respect that. Sean, I appreciate you joining.

me today, man. I'm

going to, um,

our time in here and check in yeah, more often. Thanks

Absolutely, man. Absolutely. And we're going to do some live recording this weekend. I'm going to be there with you. So we're going to, we're going to do some more podcasting. All right?

We were live today, right?

Yeah, absolutely. We're live today. Yeah.

Okay, good.

But I mean person. I mean In person. In the same room.

in person. We can take videos and stuff.

yeah.

I'm, no, I'm going to bring my mics and all that. So we're going to do this.

We're going to set up a little studio at your

place.

we need a nice, video camera. My buddy has it.

You know what? Sure. We, uh, we, we can set up, I

got a tripod. We can put one of our iPhones on there too. No big deal. We can figure all that out.

 good.

All right, Sean, I'm going to, I'm going to let you go here.

Bro, I appreciate this. I'm gonna launch this episode on Thursday, by the way, just so you know,  so I'm gonna hit it.

Actually you haven't posted, you haven't put anything up.

I did, I do have one that I released last Thursday. so yeah, so what's

up? Yeah, it's, it, I, it's called chasing Danger on Highway 4 0 1 in Toronto there. But  yeah, That's that's the latest one. That else there was, that, that dude that jacked the LCBO and started driving in the opposite direction of the

My, my buddy got killed on the 4 0 1.

Oh, okay. Okay. This dude was like out like I think he's on parole or something or he was out and he just didn't want to get stopped by the police and the RC or whoever the police was. I think they started chasing him as well, which is questionable. Like maybe it was a good thing. Maybe it wasn't.

I don't

Oh, no, I know exactly what you're talking about.

And there was a collision and a young family, like few people died.

But so we,

grandma and grandpa,

yeah, it was pretty

And, but yeah, so it was like yeah, that's the latest episode. We just Jody and I just chat about it, so

see you this weekend. All right.
