Every believer experiences seasons when life feels overwhelming, discouraging, or uncertain. The good news is that Scripture is filled with faithful men and women who struggled deeply, yet God met them with grace, strength, and hope. Pastor Chris Teien explores the stories of biblical figures who were not always okay and shows how God's promises, presence, and grace can restore us when we feel weak or broken. Discover how Jesus invites you to bring your burdens to Him and find lasting hope in His strength.

In This Message

1. Admit When You're Not Okay
(Psalm 34:18; Psalm 119:25-28; 2 Corinthians 1:8; Matthew 26:38)
The Bible does not hide the struggles of God's people. From David and Elijah to Paul and even Jesus, Scripture honestly records seasons of grief, weakness, fear, and discouragement. God invites believers to bring their struggles into the light rather than pretending everything is fine.

2. Bring Your Burdens to Jesus
(Matthew 11:28-30; Romans 7:14-25; Galatians 5:17; Romans 8:1)
Jesus welcomes weary and burdened people to find rest in Him. Even the Apostle Paul described the daily struggle between the flesh and the Spirit, yet pointed believers to the freedom found in Christ. Because there is no condemnation for those who belong to Jesus, Christians can face their struggles with confidence instead of shame.

3. Find Strength and Restoration Through God's Grace
(2 Corinthians 12:9; Isaiah 40:29-31; John 14:27; Philippians 4:7)
God does not always remove every hardship, but He faithfully provides the strength, peace, and grace needed to endure. His power is often displayed most clearly through human weakness, drawing believers into deeper dependence on Him. As Christians trust God's promises, they discover that His grace is sufficient for every season of life.
