SHF Podcast Episode 6- A Conversation with Ines Kinchen

Katherine Finley and Miriah Feehery Season 1 Episode 6

In this episode of Sovereign Heart Frequency, hosts Miriah Feehery and Katherine Finley explore the theme of evil and how individuals can navigate it without succumbing to fear. They are joined by guest Ines Kinchen, founder of the Emerald Ark Sanctuary and School of Residence Medicine and Earth Healing. Ines discusses her work in vibrational healing and earth healing, emphasizing the importance of inner wholeness as a foundation for spiritual destiny. Drawing from anthroposophy, she explains how evil manifests as a distortion of divine harmony within individuals and the collective. Ines identifies three pervasive lies in society: the belief that humans don't belong with the earth, the notion that it's too late for meaningful change, and the idea that individuals can't make a difference. She stresses the transformative power of healing oneself, which can also positively impact the collective. Ines concludes with a powerful metaphor from water crystallography, illustrating how personal healing influences others. The episode closes with information on how to connect with Ines and her work through social media.

Welcome to the Sovereign Heart Frequency Podcast. I'm Katherine Finley with Sovereign Heart Coaching, and I'm here with my co host Miriah Feehery of Whole Being Counseling. We recognize that we're living through an intense time on our planet. There seems to be more polarization and division and less connected communication than ever before. We are here to change that. We intention to hold conversations in a container of love and authenticity. We believe that when humans come together from a heart centered place, we can not only understand one another, but we can get creative together, solving problems we couldn't solve alone. It's time to reimagine and rebirth a new world in which everyone's authentic voice is included in the harmonic orchestra of human voices, to create a world that works for all of us. Thank you for being part of this conversation. We're excited to have you. Welcome back everyone to Sovereign Heart Frequency. I'm your host Mariah Feehery here with my co host Katherine Finley. And if you've been following us, you have been exploring this theme of the nature of evil and how to orient to it in a way that allows you to not be subsumed by fear, but to stay grounded in your body. And Katherine and I have invited Ines Kinchin to join us today to speak to us from her perspective on this theme. Ines is a mother, teacher, and tender to the bees and trees. She is the founder of the Emerald Ark Sanctuary, a biodynamic bee sanctuary and forest farm in eastern Tennessee, as well as the Emerald Ark School of Residence Medicine and Earth Healing, an online and in person apprenticeship circle for souls of service. Those human beings whose spiritual destiny is deeply connected with the healing of humanity and the earth during this important moment of rapid transformation on our planet. Welcome Ines. Hi friends. Thanks for having me. Yeah, thanks for being here with us today. why don't you tell us a little more about your work in the world and how it relates to this theme? Okay. well, thank you again. And this is actually a topic that's really, really close to the work, my daily work in the world. And I can speak about it a little bit from that perspective of our. Apprenticeship circle within the Emerald Arc, which in a way is, oriented to help people work within the realms of resonance medicine. So, you know, vibrational healing and, and earth healing, like landscape healing, working with, bees, trees, water, soil. And I personally come from an understanding that in order to be effective in any of these realms of therapeutic work or earth healing, we have to begin with, with the healing of our own soul, or as one could say, like a returned wholeness. And that this wholeness or being in, in this balance is a prerequisite for,, I guess one could say like the expansion into our spiritual destiny or fulfilling what it is we are here to do in this lifetime of ours. So for our spirit to fully incarnate into our body, into our being, that wholeness is the foundation. Well put. Very much in alignment with our worldview and, I'm imagining much for our viewers as well. So it seems like this is a, an important conversation to be having together. Yeah. And Ines, we happen to know that, that you have deeply studied anthropophacy. And I wonder if you would share that background with our audience. yeah, so my background with anthroposophy. started actually not quite as long ago as my work in the holistic health and healing realm. I started more deeply studying anthroposophy about 15 years ago. So shortly before my son was born and my segue into that world was through Waldorf education, actually, I was looking for a way for my son to, you know, just for alternatives, I guess, alternatives of education, and then that segwayed into this broader understanding of the human being, or I should say humanity the earth as a living being, how, how it all relates. And I began to backtrack. And some of my, some of my work, some of the healing work that I was doing at the time and wanting to bring it into the world in a more complete picture, or I should say with me holding a more complete picture of who the human being really is. Yeah. So that, that's the beginning of it. And I am certainly not an expert, but I'm a student and, apply principles in my daily life. That would be one way, one way to put it. And we've talked a bit about Steiner on our podcast, but do you mind giving our audience just an understanding or definition of anthroposaphy? Yeah. So, a definition of anthroposaphy would be the wisdom, the direct, a direct translation would be the wisdom Of the human being. Beautiful. And I just realized that I've been saying it wrong. But no. I think I got it. I think I got it. Oh good. It's It's quite a mouthful sometimes. Yeah. Ines, why don't you share a little more with us about how this concept of wholeness of the whole human being can Look out of balance in our modern worlds and the way that we've been exploring in our previous shows we name, you know, lack of empathy and drives for power and different ways that we get out of balance and lose sight of what it means to be fully human Yeah, yeah, I would love that. I'd love to do that. And then, and then we can tie it back into, into that question of Anthroposophy. But I can use as universal of a language as possible. So, the way I would define wholeness, just to go back to that for a moment. Wholeness which I think is so beautiful, that in a way, wholeness and holiness can be somewhat interchangeable and sound very similar. And I think of wholeness as an alignment with our sacred life geometry. If we think of, this sacred life geometry, or maybe even the image of the divine, right? And wholeness is an alignment with that, or in the image of it. And So when we look at wholeness or holiness versus evil, we can think of it like this Divine, sacred geometry equals harmony of frequency and the distortion of it. The a distortion or distorted image of that wholeness or of that geometry, that would be like a dissonance or imbalance. So, I begin, again, to look at evil, which of course has nuances, but from a basic understanding really as not being in harmony with the divine, or not being in harmony with the sacred life geometry. So, this view coming out of Anthroposophy, as well as of course many other, traditions, is that we as a human being are Of course, multifaceted. We have this physical body. We have a life force body. We have an astral body or a soul, and that the harmony of the body and the life force body and the soul in, in harmony with that sacred geometry creates, one could say, maybe a home, like it creates a home for the spirit. When we incarnate on the earth, our spirit comes into our body, into our being, I should say, not just the body, into our being. And we can carry out our spiritual destiny through that harmony. And when that harmony isn't there or sacred geometry is pulled out of place, it becomes more and more difficult for us to be fully incarnated and fulfill our destiny. Thank you. That was well put. Yeah, I love that idea of the importance of the inner work to create this. Safe home inside to then live out our destiny through because we have to live out our destinies through being in the body, right? It's the body that allows us to walk through the earth or on the earth. Exactly. And it's also precisely the body that can, or our physical experience here on earth that can create, I'll just say this imbalance. Or, evil, I suppose, if we want to stay on topic, or use that particular word. It's described differently, in, in Anthroposophy. For example, Rudolf Steiner uses the word, the double, right to keep things more universal. Like in our school, we use the words conditioned self, like the conditioning of the self, to describe that simply, would be in our life, in the body. Every time we have, either a traumatic experience or maybe even an experience that we could call an impact experience, right? It creates an anchor in our being, right? Like an unresolved experience, an unhealed or unharmonized experience. We can look at like a little anchor. So if you visualize this beautiful life geometry. Just visualize in your mind, any kind of sacred geometry. When we look at beautiful sacred geometry, no matter what it is, it always gives us this feeling of ease, right? Because we're looking at something, there's some sort of truth behind it, right? We can see it's like a visual representation of that harmony. So when we begin to want to visualize what it may look like, when evil becomes manifest. In our life, in our physical presence on earth. One way to think of it is like every time there's an experience, a little anchor is cast down. And eventually, those anchors begin to pull that sacred geometry out of place. And, We then begin to operate in our life from a geometry that's not completely in the image of the divine, right? So when we think of that sacred geometry, it's always self regenerating. It is source. It is, infinite resource. All those things. And then our experience on the earth is not necessarily that, right? Like it's, it's difficult to to be in the body. It's a journey. So we use the word trauma matrix for that in our school, like when we have all these different anchors in place, that is then that trauma matrix or what Steiner would also call the double. Like, it's almost like we have this. There's a whole other part of us that we're operating out of that includes our fears. Interestingly enough, that, that conditioned self or trauma matrix very much plays itself out in control, right? It's that part of us, for example, when we want to, when our spirit is driving us to do something and we are moving towards that, but then suddenly there begins to be this It's in our tug of war, for example, this push pull, something's holding us back. Suddenly fears are coming up. That's the conditioned self at work. That's the trauma matrix at work. And that's the part that wants to be harmonized or healed in order to come back into wholeness. I think another, and if I can just slide this in here, on that topic of, of evil and also looking at evil in the world. I take this view that what manifests in our collective humanity is essentially the combination of all of the individual conditioned selves, right, of human beings. So we can think of it like we had, there's this trauma matrix that lives within us. And that if it goes unnoticed, you know, it would be like, some people would say that's like working out of your subconscious without, without bringing it to light. And then there's this trauma matrix in the collective. So when we look at the structures in the world that seem evil, right? As in like, not whole, not life giving, not sustaining in any sort of way. Those are the reflection of, like I said, the inner trauma. Matrix or the or the condition. Which is hearkening back to this idea that we've we've mentioned before about how. Healing ourself is really the only way that we can ever truly, deeply change the world. And again, to clarify, not to say that you can't help others or, or do community service or, or public good. But that when you're really, truly, affecting the whole world in a profound, permanent way. It's when you're resolving your own trauma and becoming clear in your authentic self and expression. Exactly. Yeah, 100%. And thinking of, again, the spiritual destiny piece, I think the same is true for the collective. Like when we can heal ourself and be in that harmony, be in that wholeness, our own spirit has the ability to penetrate into the world. into all dimensions of ourselves, right? And the more we are out of that balance, the less that's able to happen. When it comes to the collective, it's the same thing, right? The evil that is manifest in the world makes it pretty difficult for Well, let's just say it's not very conducive for the greater spiritual destiny of humanity. Like we also have a destiny or a yeah, as humanity within the, within the cosmos and so on. And it's, it's interesting to, to look at the, how that bridges, like for example when our conditioned self in our, in our own being is really at work, it's almost like it keeps us prisoner, right? Like you have this. You have this matrix that is built and, you know, like the example I used, just keeping, keeping you from doing what you really came here to do, holding you back, right? There are so many things within the conditioned self or the, or the imbalance that that are easy to recognize. You know, isolation is one, like staying isolated versus being in community, distraction is huge. Confusion, all those things versus clarity and. And moving forward. And so anyway, this control piece within the conditioned self is then of course, what we see manifest in the world. Right. And when we're looking at world issues or, you know, what we, what we see, there's a whole lot of talk about control, right? There's a lot of talk about like, they are trying to control this or, or, or abuse of power, things like that. Right. And it's interesting. That we see these things so widely, like obviously manifest and I see really as a reflection, you know, we're often like on lockdown with our conditioned self versus really moving into what we came here to do. Yeah. And I, you know, believe in my heart that the more harmonized our own sacred geometry, which is why you're talking about doing your inner work the more powerful we are energetically to impact others. Because that energy is so much more powerful. And I can imagine too, then there's that clarity of what is my path to serve the world? Whereas if that's just coming from the trauma matrix or our cognition of what we should be doing to help the world, that's, that's coming from a whole different place and probably not as powerful, even though well intentioned. Yeah. Not even close to as powerful and very susceptible to influence from others if you're in that matrix Yeah, I mean one way to look at it is and if you if you again hold an image in your mind Just imagine for a moment that that sacred geometry, it's a picture of sacred geometry and imagine like a fractal sacred geometry right where you have this microcosm and then you have an octave bigger and an octave bigger and, and, but it's all in perfect balance. So, we can look at ourselves as these microcosms in the macrocosm of humanity. And like you were saying Katherine. When. We do our healing, we lighten the load, so to speak, in the collective, because we can think of, like, if we have a trauma anchor that we can harmonize, we're also harmonizing that, that anchor in the collective. So those anchors that are keeping those non life giving structures in place become lighter and lighter, and I was going to leave this to the end, but I'll just say it now. You know, In order for, for those structures to transform, it's not necessary for every single person on the planet to be fully healed before humanity or the collective has a, has the ability to heal what we need is a tipping point. What we're aiming for is a tipping point. And one way to think of it is like the, like the natural forces of life, the natural. That's that sacred life geometry is very powerful that even if it's partially back in place, it can, those, those harmonizing forces can flow and take over. So, just like when we're sick, let's say you have the flu and maybe you're, You're taking some herbs or, you know, whatever it is you're doing to help you feel better. You're only really addressing a tiny part of what's going on in your body. You're, you're just wanting to give your body a little bit of support. And that through some of that support, Those life forces of that, our own inner sacred geometry can take back over and bring you back into wholeness. Nature, we could say, is always coming back into wholeness. So, that is the natural order of things. And Yeah, we are a part of nature, right? So it's it is that mirror. And I'm curious if you can speak more to the ways that our inner thoughts and, and misconceptions can create more of this social distortion the, the kind of collective imbalances, right. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Yeah, so it goes both ways. That's how I look at it. You know, like Katherine was saying, we heal ourselves, we're healing the, the greater fractal, we're healing humanity. And then, so of course, we can always approach healing by, by addressing what comes up for ourselves, right? That'd be like, the opposite of spiritual bypassing. It's more this, what, embracing what comes. up for us in our conditioned self. As I call them contractions, you know, so let's say there's a real, there's something that comes up within me. I look at it like, Oh, that is ready to be seen. It's, I can be grateful for it because it's ready to be seen and it's ready to be transformed. Right. That's that like daily work, you know, we're always doing that daily work, that healing work. And. As we said, therefore also impacting the collective, and there's another way to approach it, or I should say maybe an additional way to approach it, and that is becoming aware of some of the distortions or untruths or lies that are so deeply ingrained in the collective that most of us carry, carry a reflection of that within us. And when when we can begin to address those, just consciously begin to look at those and transform the way those might still be living in us, then we're really doing a great deed. It's a great deed for the healing of humanity. And so the, the lies that I, I call them the three great lies over the years that I've identified. I'll just, I'll tell them to you and talk about them briefly. And there's really one big one and the two, the two others are born out of that first one. It's interesting to also think that maybe, you know, what created those lives in the first place, you know, again, to have that image of distortion, seeing that when we begin to not see ourselves in wholeness or feel ourselves in wholeness or in the image of the divine. So the first lie is that we don't belong with the earth, that we don't belong with the earth, and that the earth would be better off without us, right? So again, you can think of countless ways that this deeply ingrained lie is making itself manifest in the world. And I'm sure that we can find a lot of quote unquote proof out in the world that could, you know, would confirm this as a truth that we are the problem. And if we just went away, the earth would be great, you know, like everything would be fine. But just to briefly address that, It's not the, yeah, it's the foundation of, of this. sense of not belonging. These lies become a completely self fulfilling prophecy. I'm not sure how much more time we have here, but I can say this, if you think of in your mind, think of a medicine wheel. You have this imagination of a medicine wheel of four equal parts, just like in the body. And this, by the way, comes out of anthroposophy as well. So just like the human being has the physical body. the etheric body or the life force body, the astral body, the soul, and then the spirit, right? There's this wholeness created through these four. The earth we can think of, all right, same thing, the earth has a physical body, a life force body, a soul, and a spirit, and it's made manifest in the kingdoms or queendoms of, of nature. So when you think of them, there's the mineral kingdom, There's the plant kingdom, the animal kingdom, and then there's humanity as well. And it really takes all four to create a wholeness. And it's sometimes it would be easy for people to say, oh, that's, of course, of course it, it creates all four. But do you actually really believe that? And I, that's why I said, we can begin to examine where these lives may live within us and begin to heal from there. So for example, if I asked you, is the mineral kingdom dependent on the plant kingdom? Yeah. You, it's easy. Yes. And the plant kingdom, of course is dependent on the earth or the mineral kingdom. And same with the animals and the plants, right? You can see that they need each other. And I could say, well, is humanity dependent on the plant world? Of course. But then if I ask you, is the plant world dependent on humanity, most people start questioning a bit. Well, I don't know. You know, I don't know. You know, so yeah, maybe I should move on to the, to the other two lives real quick and that will, that will maybe create a fuller picture. The second, yeah, the second untruth that, that is really deeply manifest in our collective. In our collective conditioning is that it's too late, like that somehow we are barreling towards an end point and there's nothing we can do about it, right? So we see that represented, for example, in a lot of the media of today, you know, a vast majority of the movies that are coming out are about the end of the earth, or we have to populate Mars, or, you know things like that, zombie apocalypse, and also actually we can see that represented in a lot of the, the loss of faith in a higher power, right? Our faith in really spirituality in general. I recently saw a movie in the theaters, my son and I went, it was a movie about near death experiences and. The movie was alright. What I found most, most interesting was when they interviewed the director, the people who had made the movie, about the reason they had made the movie, and one of the things they said was that they had seen there has been a really sharp decline in people who believe that there's anything after death. You know, so, like, the people who believe that there's absolutely nothing after death has more than doubled in recent years. Wow. Staggering statistics, and if you think of the implications of that, kind of like, what's the point anyway, then? Right? Like, what is the point of life? You might take care of the earth, or work on healing yourself, if I'll just end and done at the end of your life. Exactly, exactly. And if you think of that, and then this belief in the collective that it's too late, it has this similar frequency, right? Like there's just this end point. And it's not about transformation. It's not about transforming into the next stage, the next step in our evolution in humanity. And I also notice an increase in people not wanting to have children because they believe it's too late. So then it continues the self fulfilling prophecy because if if I don't enter into any kind of Soul growth after life or a new life after death and there's no Children that I'm trying to keep the world intact for, then I'm just going to keep on keeping on with the status quo. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. I know we could talk about each one of these lies probably for a few hours. Just, I mean, there are so many different ways that they are that they show up in our lives and in the greater, in the greater collective. The, the third one and this kind of circles back around to what we started with, I think. The third big lie is that the individual human being can't make a difference. I, as one person, what kind of difference could I make? Right? There are 8 billion people incarnated on the planet. What in the world can I do? Right? And nothing, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, it's the individual, like you were saying before, the individual is the only one that can make the difference. And, I mean, in a couple different ways, you know, one is what we already spoke about with this, the lightening the load in that in the collective trauma matrix, right? Like by through our own transformation, we are naturally healing. That is the law, right? Like everything in, in quantum mechanics and quantum physics, I mean, all that stuff, it points exactly to that, right? There's another thing to consider when it comes to the individual, and that is this idea of, the importance of the uniqueness of spiritual destiny, right? Like you guys, I'm sure, have, both heard that this idea of like a transformation, a metamorphosis in the insect world is such a beautiful metaphor, where in a caterpillar, for example, there are these cells called imaginal cells. And they have this, spiritual destiny, one could say, or biological destiny that cannot be changed, right? The imaginal cell, they're a little similar, they're kind of like stem cells, but in a way, also the opposite of stem cells, because they have this destiny. And so the caterpillar is living its, its caterpillar life. And then these imaginal cells come out of dormancy. So in a way, they wake up. And when they wake up, They actually first trigger an immune reaction within the caterpillar, like a pretty strong immune reaction and that it's that immune reaction that begins to dissolve all of the old structures within the caterpillar. All the organs dissolve, I mean the entire caterpillar turns to complete mush or a chaos state, right? Eventually it will cocoon, or if you've watched that before, it's a pretty incredible process. The skin splits open and the chrysalis comes out from, comes from the inside out. And it's then the imaginal cells that lead this transformation into the imago or the transformed insect, which is the butterfly in this case. And each one of these pieces really, each one of these cells is really important. Like the destiny of each one of these cells is what creates this transformed being. So if we want to look at that like a little microcosm of the transformation of the earth and the healing of humanity, It's important that we embrace this idea that what I carry inside as the seed as an imaginal soul, right? If you think if you're an imaginal soul in humanity, that that is an important part to complete the picture of the transformation. And the last thing in regard to the individual making a difference is when we're not just healing the greater collective, but wholeness. Also has an effect, and this goes back to this whole idea of nature of wanting to balance itself like this, the natural movement back into wholeness, back into homeostasis, healing ourselves has the effect of healing others by proximity only, right? In our I, I'm not sure you, you guys might be familiar. There's an incredible water research pioneer. Her name is Veda Austin, and she uses this water crystallography and we, we use some of that crystallography work in the residence medicine school to learn various things like communication and soul spaces and spirit work and so on. This crystallography can show some incredible truths. And one of these experiments that Veda did that just really stands out to me and sticks with me is that she actually did this water crystallography on egg whites. And there's this really you know, that liquidy part of the egg white, you can actually freeze it and then see the patterns in the eyes. And one of the things that she did is she did this experiment with eggs that came from happy, healthy hens. and eggs that came from factory farm hens. And the ice crystals in the eggs from the healthy hens had six very distinct, I could call them vitality patterns, right? The patterns of health. And in the caged hen eggs, there were only two patterns. The others weren't able to form. And so what she did is she put a healthy egg in a cage, like next to each other. And then the next day she did the crystallography. And it had shown that the caged egg started to display some of the healthy patterns. And so when she posted those pictures online, There were so many people that said, Oh, but I bet if you surrounded that healthy egg with bad eggs, it would make the healthy egg go bad. Right? So she did just that. She put all the, the caged eggs around the one healthy egg in the middle. And then she did another circle around the perimeter. And the next day, and she did control group also, but the next day she did the crystallography, meaning freezing the egg whites. And what had happened was, That you couldn't even tell the difference between the eggs that came from caged eggs and caged hens, right, and the healthy egg. Meaning they had started healing by proximity. And even the one on the outer perimeter had started to change, just not as much. But that is a huge deal to really sink into the truth of that. That if we are working on healing ourselves, And we have this. striving to coming back to wholeness, that we are automatically, whether we want to say through our water bodies or spirit affecting the people around us. Not just by me, anyway. Thank you for that hopeful message. That's really a powerful metaphor and, and thank you to Veda Austin for pioneering that work. That's amazing. What a, what a good example to hold in our hearts of when we do our inner work how much it affects others around us. Whether we know it or not, right? Whether we see it or not. It is. It has an impact. Exactly. It's real, it's real, and we can find the proof of it in nature, all around us, in nature.. Ines, thank you so much for being with us. You are our first guest, so it's very exciting to have you here. Tell our audience where they can find more about you, your program. Yeah. Oh, thank you. I'm honored to be the first guest. This is really fun. So the best way to get ahold of me is actually just, you can find me on social media. We have, I'm on Instagram at Emerald Ark School, or you can just look me up on Facebook, Ines Katarina Kinchin and the Emerald Ark School. So. Maybe we'll see. Okay, wonderful. It was lovely having you with us. I'm just going to be sitting with all those messages for a while. Thank you. All right. See you all next time. outro music
