Thad Olson (00:00.874)
Well, hello. How are you? Yes, I'm still working on improving the sound quality, the microphone, so it's not so hard to hear me.

I'm going to put up some acoustic panels in the studio. I have a consultation with an audio specialist so that I can figure out the right way to have more than one mic and one camera when I have a guest in studio with me. I just want you to know that I care and I'm trying to improve this. And thank you.

for being patient. I almost rubbed my hands together. Don't do that anymore. That's fucking irritating. Like Wade slapping the table, if you know what I mean. Mm -hmm. So.

Thad Olson (01:03.018)
Oh, and I need to stop going like... Yeah, I'll get this figured out.

I really will, I promise. I care and I'm working hard.

Thad Olson (01:19.562)
the religion, the religion preview that I sent out.

I am, this may be shocking to some of you. I'm having a hard time finding someone that is quote unquote strong in their faith, yet still willing to come on here and talk. I mean, I'm not even, I'm not even trying to debate. I just want to have a conversation. I just want to have a conversation.

between my points of view and their points of view. Like I said, if you watch the religion preview, you already know what I'm hoping to accomplish. And I have sent that video because obviously there's quite a few people that are strong in their faith that would not be interested in in subscribing to or checking out a podcast called Listen Motherfucker.

So that's not surprising, but I am surprised in that I have sent the link to a couple of people for just that episode on religion. And they didn't even confirm whether they made it all the way through it or not. And they definitely have not responded to me of their willingness or consideration of being able to either themselves come on and have that conversation.

Send me in the direction of someone that they know that might be willing to do that None of those things have happened. So that's kind of a real bummer That's kind of a real bummer. I was looking forward to that one. I am working hard on the electric lie I Have done quite a bit of research on hydrogen Vehicles a lot of what I found out was disappointing I'll be able to share that

Thad Olson (03:25.578)
Um, but I have discussed some other things with other individuals in the energy sector, whatever you want to call it, that will be able to either educate me so I can educate you or just talk about it, or hopefully get them to sit down across from me and just talk about it back and forth. Um,

Because as you know, we are headed in the wrong direction. Wrong direction. Miss Katie and I are planning a full episode on politics. I'm very excited about that. Not only does she have, I don't know if she has a degree. I'm sorry, Katie. I know that she went to school for nutrition.

And she also went to school for political science. And I'm pretty sure that she is a certified nutritionist because she's constantly looking at me, raising her eyebrows and rolling her eyes when she watches me eat almost anything. Uh, yeah.

Her and I are going to have a, we've shared some ideas on politics and neither one of us are coming from a strong right or left avenue. You know, but I'm still excited about it. There's so much. And I have talked with a couple of people on each side of the aisle, so to speak, right?

Um, just sharing some of my ideas and getting some of their feedback and going back and forth so that I could feel like I was going to have a more educated conversation with Katie and with you. Um, I'm hoping to get Wade back up here again soon. And he's got a friend to his Jessica that, um, has also.

Thad Olson (05:31.85)
You know, struggled with addictions and rehab and they're both super comfortable in being able to talk about it and share their story and the pros and the cons and the goods and the bads and all of those things. Uh, by now, if you've seen any of it, you know, Wade and I'll fucking talk about anything. Who cares? And it definitely sounds like Jessica is the same. Uh, the two of them are friends. Um, she's also got some interesting things to talk about poly relationships.

And just lots of different stuff. So, um, I'm looking forward to that. You're my friend, Darcy. She's going to come on here and like I've told you, uh, I think I've told you if I haven't, I will tell you she's the female version of me. I've been told as far as just she'll say whatever she'll do, whatever she'll talk about, whatever. She's got a ton of fucking crazy life experience and I'm so excited to talk to her. Her son, AJ is 17.

will be 18 in April and he's super excited to come on and talk about all kinds of stuff. We're just not going to do that until he's 18. I don't need to get sued. So yeah, Katie and I are also talking about current events. I would like to. I don't know if you guys would even listen or watch or care.

I've been so frustrated listening to the news on my way to work the other day in the same 10 minutes, right? Every morning at every weekday morning at 5 a .m. I listened to the CBS World News Roundup on the radio on my way to work. And in the same 10 minutes, they talked about the United States.

Arguing over whether or not to send Ukraine an additional $60 billion. And that Russia knows that we're having that conversation and their response to knowing that conversation is taking place is to launch another offensive along the front lines of wherever they're fighting each other. Right. And that was, it was, I mean, it was just, it was mentioned, it was talked about very matter of fact. And the very next thing they talked about Israel, Israel and how horrible Israel is.

Thad Olson (07:54.826)
and how they're just doing genocide and that without any cause or reason or any regard for human life, they're killing civilians, Palestinians, killing everyone and literally just crucified. I mean, the whole conversation was. I can't believe Israel's doing this. How shitty is Israel? That's basically what they were implying in their little blip about.

that conflict and the fact that the two were so polar opposites in the same few minutes of news. Man, that fucking pissed me off.

That pisses me off. So I'd like to talk about that with current events. I'd like to talk about the presidential election current events. Here in the state of Washington, we've got one of the worst governors in the history of governors and they're still arguing. They call it electrification in the state of Washington. They're literally passing laws that we can no longer have natural gas. No natural gas.

No, no natural gas stoves, ovens, hot water tanks that that we need to get away from fossil fuels. We need electrification and it's different than the electric lie, but it's man that they are right on top of each other of. There's only so much electricity to go around. There's only so much infrastructure that already exists. And so.

It is just staggering to me. It is so staggering to me that people think this shit's a good idea. I mean, it's just fucking unbelievable. And I don't know what state you live in and what it's like, but here we really, we live in a state without consequence. The cops can't chase people. Uh, the, the smash and grabs that you can't even.

Thad Olson (09:59.786)
A security guard, a police officer, an employee, no one can stop anyone unless they think that the person is stealing more than a thousand dollars worth of stuff. So people are just walking into Rite Aid or walking into clothing stores or walking into wherever and just grabbing shit and walking out. And nobody does anything. No consequence. You can put a tent on the sidewalk and make people walk into the street, into traffic.

Walk out of your tent, throw some dirty heroin needles, take a dump there on the sidewalk and there's nothing wrong. You're in trouble. But if I walked up there and the guy like tried to approach me and I kicked his ass, I'm in trouble. Just fucking mind blowing.

Mind -blowing. Alright, so that is my quick update. I promise. I got right here. Excuse me.

Thad Olson (10:51.658)
I got some acoustic foam that I'm going to figure out where I can put it in this room. And, um, I've changed the lights a little bit. I'm working on it. I promise. I, I promise. I appreciate your interest. I appreciate your patience. I appreciate if, if, if you think anything I say is, is even remotely interesting.

And if you think anything I say is funny or the stuff that Wade and I have on here together, whatever, tell me. Please subscribe and tell someone about it and share it with someone. I'm genuinely asking you. Please. I'm asking you for your help. I appreciate it. All right.

Peace.
