Abide In Him
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
When we love someone, we naturally make time for them. We prioritise the relationship. We invest in it. Whether it’s a spouse, a close friend, a family member or even someone dear to us, spending time with them becomes important.
But do we treat God the same way?
Do we spend time with Him daily?
Some of you may ask, how do I even do that?
What does it mean to truly abide in God and what happens when you do?
In this episode, we reflect on the power of abiding in God — remaining connected to Him through Scripture, prayer, and daily fellowship with His Word.
The Bible is not just guidance for life; it is God speaking to us.
When we meditate on His Word, when we hold on to His promises, and when we apply it to the situations we face, something begins to change.
The scriptures do not remain mere text — they come alive and begin to bear fruit.
Because God Himself watches over His Word to fulfil it.
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
- John 15:4-5 NKJV
In this episode, we reflect on :
1. What it really means to abide in Him?
2. What changes when we begin living by God’s Word instead of reacting to circumstances?
3. How can meditating on Scripture day and night transform the way we navigate life’s challenges?
4. What did Jesus mean when He said, “I am the vine and you are the branches”?
5. And how does staying connected to Him give us strength in every situation we face?
When we make Him our priority and spend time on His Word, we begin to discover a powerful truth — through Him we are more than conquerors.
Sometimes the greatest transformation begins simply by choosing to begin the day with God and His Word.
If this episode speaks to you, consider sharing this link with someone who might need this reminder today. Sometimes the right word at the right time can bring hope, clarity, and renewed faith.
Faith. Hope. Love
Good news for everyday life.
The Gospel, simply shared.

SPEAKER_00Hallelujah. Today's a beautiful day, and God is going to do something amazing in our midst. I know it. And I want to start directly with the word of God. Today I want to share something with you, and it's uh, you know, it's more like a study, and it's a wonderful revelation, but um, as I said, it's it's it's probably going to be a little deep, and you know what the Bible says deep calls on to deep. So I'm gonna get straight into it. I want to start with something from the Old Testament, from the time of when the Israelites were being freed from slavery, from the hands of Moses, through God. And I want to tell you that God did some amazing things through Moses. For many years, the Israelites were calling out to God to be freed from slavery, to be freed from Egypt. And God decided to send someone to free them, and that was Moses, and to take them out of slavery and to a land that he had promised them. In fact, a land that he had promised Abraham, their forefather. And just to give you a background to the entire story, I told you today is a bit uh it's like a study, so pay attention. And Moses, you know, he goes into Egypt, which, by the way, for most of you, is the most powerful civilization at the time. And he went with nothing but a staff, and with God backing him. Of course, he had his brother with him, Aaron, Aaron, however, you'd like to pronounce his name. And I want to tell you that's all that he went with. Just a man with his staff. And aligned with the word of God, I want to tell you that Moses called down ten plagues upon Egypt, and they were really bad. And he brought the Pharaoh and Egypt to their knees. There were some really bad ones in there, and the last one being the worst, where the firstborn of every household in Egypt was taken away. The firstborn of everything in Egypt was taken away, including cattle. Wow. And after all that, the Egyptians basically released the Israelites. The Pharaoh just wanted them out because God had proven that he wants them out. But I want to tell you that the Pharaoh actually followed them after releasing them. He had too much of pride. And yet again, God stood in front of them. He stood in front of the Israelites. When they had nowhere to go, they ended up at the Red Sea. God went in front of them, he parted the Red Sea, and when the Egyptians pursued from behind, he closed the sea upon them, and the Egyptians, along with the entire army and the Pharaoh, were finished. And then he takes them into the wilderness because he's told them that he'll take them to this land that he has promised them. I've shared this before, but I'm going to share it with you again that Moses has led the people now into the wilderness as per the plan of God. And he pitches a tent, and it's called the tent of meeting. And I said I've spoken about this before, and it's so beautiful. And he pitches the tent of meeting. And let me tell you something beautiful about this. Moses makes let's call it a deal. Actually, he makes a request, let's not call it a deal. He makes a request with God saying that, Lord, you only take us if you are going to go before us, and don't take us there if you don't want us to go there, or if you're not going ahead of us. And because of that request, he makes a tent, and it's called the tent of meeting. Uh, the Israelites had a camp, and this tent of meeting was outside the camp, and Moses would walk there, and the entire entire clan of the Israelites would stand outside the tent and watch Moses going into the tent of meeting, and he would go into the tent, and the presence of God would come down on the tent in the form of a cloud, and then they would all bow down and pray. And the Bible says, and I'm reading it to you, and this is just it's beautiful, it's next level from Exodus 33, 11. And you should just this is just for you. I told you it's a bit of a study today. It says, So the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, hallelujah, just as a man speaks to his friend. Wow. This is in the tent of meeting. So the Lord used to speak to Moses face to face just as the man spoke to his friend. And when Moses returned to the camp, his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent. Hallelujah. I told you it's just so beautiful if you if you understand it, that Moses, as I said, makes a request to God. Actually, there's a background to it, but I'll come to it a little later. He makes a request saying, Lord, don't take us to any place if you won't go ahead of us. And that's why he makes a tent of meeting where he goes and he speaks to him every day. Hallelujah. And God spoke to him face to face, like a man speaks to a friend. Wow. And as the word of God says, that when Moses would leave the tent, Joshua would remain back in the tent. He was a young man, he was a son of somebody by the name Nan, N-U-N, and he would not depart from the tent, the Bible says. Hallelujah. And here's the main part actually of the story that I want to share with you this morning. Joshua. You know, some versions of the Bible refer to him as a servant, an attendant, a minister, these are all terms used in the Bible. Basically, Moses is second in charge. Moses is assistant. He was a young man at the time. But when God would speak to Moses face to face, and after the conversation was done, and Moses would leave the tent, Joshua would stay back in the tent just to be in the presence of God. Hallelujah. And I want to tell you, because of the tent of meeting, and because of Moses having this relationship with God, God was with the Israelites all the time. Because Moses would go to talk to God every day in the tent of meeting, and every day God would speak to him about something for the Israelites. And let me tell you, there was somewhere around 500,000 to 600,000 Israelites. That's a lot. All going in one direction basis, what where Moses takes them. But coming back to Joshua, I told you that's the main crux of today's uh story that I'm sharing with you. And Joshua, as I said, would stay back in the tent. And let me tell you something which most people don't know. The Israelites, along with Moses, roamed the wilderness for 40 years, which means Joshua used to go in the tent of meeting and spend time in the presence of God for 40 years approximately. That's an approximate timeline. Let me tell you something, Jesus never spoke to Joshua. Pay attention and just stick with me this morning. Understand what I'm trying to tell you. And the only time when Jesus actually speaks to Joshua directly is after the death of Moses, which is documented in a book called Joshua. But what I want to bring to your attention this morning is 40 years, Moses used to just bask in the presence of God. 40 years, he didn't ask God for anything. God was in the tent. He never asked him for anything. He just, I don't know, I just picture it as somebody who crawled in the tent and just stayed in there on the ground, flat. In the presence of the Most High, after he's spoken to Moses, after he's given instructions for the whole of Israel, and Moses has gone, Joshua's in the tent for 40 years. And as I said, approximate timelines, because I don't know the timelines, but it's there are enough of studies to prove it was about 40 years because they roamed the wilderness for 40 years, and every day Moses spoke to God, and every day Joshua entered the tent to be in the presence of God. Wow, that's a long time. Hallelujah. You think it was a matter of chance that God picked Joshua to lead the Israelites into the promised land? No, I don't think so. Joshua enjoyed the presence of the Most High. He enjoyed being in the presence of God. And let me tell you something this beautiful morning. Joshua fought battles to take Israel into the promised land. And Barring one battle, just one battle. He just lost one battle, and that too because of disobedience, because somebody went against what God told him to do. And I won't get into that. But besides that, Joshua won every battle in front of him. Every battle. Hallelujah. And he took the Israelites into the promised land. Moses had a job to do and he did it. He was a powerful man of God. He parted the Red Sea. Come on. And Joshua was the one who took them into the promised land. And this beautiful morning, I want to tell you that as I told you, I wanted to give you a background so you understand this. And as I said, I started with saying it's a study today. If you understand it and you accept it, you will get it this morning and you'll live a different life. And here's what I want to share with you from the first conversation that God has had with Joshua. Please understand, he spoke to Moses for every day that Moses approached him. And Joshua just stayed in the tent, in his presence, no communication, no list, no Lord, just can you do this for me? Nothing. And this is the first time now. It's been about 40 years that Joshua has been in the presence of God. And this is the first time that God speaks to him. And I want to share this with you. From Joshua 1.8 Hallelujah. And the Lord tells Joshua, this book of law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night. So that you may be careful to do according to what is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will achieve success. Hallelujah. This is the first time that God is speaking to Moses. And just to give you a background to Joshua, I'm sorry, and just to give you a background, by this time, Moses had already gone up to Mount Sinai. God gave him the Ten Commandments, he wrote them down on tablets, and that was a law for that time. That was a law for that time. And God is, of course, He's referring to the same law. And he tells him what he had to tell him. This is the first time, understand that God is talking to Joshua and he's known him for a long time. He's known Joshua for a long time. Hallelujah. But I want to tell you something, and I want to give you a perspective this morning. Moses gave the commandments to the people of Israel. But today, many years after Jesus has come to this planet, this refers to the word of God, it refers to the Bible, it refers to the law. This is the law. Hallelujah. Let it not depart from your mouth. He told Joshua. And I'll give you a secret this morning. When any situation comes your way, you should know what the word says about it. And if you release that word into your situation, God will do the rest. Because the word says, I am watching over my word to perform it. And which is why many years before God gave Joshua a secret saying, Meditate, know this law, let it not depart from your mouth. He didn't say mind, he said mouth. Let it not depart from your mouth. Hallelujah. Meditate on it day and night. Observe to do what is in it. Hallelujah. Some of you can feel the presence of God. You know, we all have that favorite movie, that series, that thing we like to watch constantly. We watched it and we go back to it and we watch it again. We know the characters by heart, we know the names by heart, we know the dialogues, the plot, the storyline. We know everything by heart, like the back of our hand. And this morning, that's what God wants you and me to do when it comes to the word of God. That's what God told Joshua the first time he spoke to him. Let this law not depart from your mouth. For then you will make your way prosperous. Hallelujah. And you will have good success. Hallelujah. I want to ask you this morning who does not want prosperity? Who does not want success? If you don't want it, it's not for you. But let me tell you this: I don't know anyone who does not want success and prosperity. And God is telling you, I'll give you success and prosperity. He's not saying I want you to be unsuccessful. That's not your father. Why would your father want that? The book of wisdom says God blesses you and He adds no sorrow to it. That's exactly what it is. Hallelujah. And here's the gem that binds it all together. From the book of John, the 15th chapter. Hallelujah. John the 15th chapter, the fourth and fifth verse. From the words of Jesus. And you hear it this morning as I read it to you, Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of its own, unless it abides in the vine. Neither can you, unless you abide in me. And then he goes on to say in the fifth verse, I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit. For without me, you can do nothing. Hallelujah. You know, I want to tell you this morning, there's nothing that I can explain to you from this passage of scripture as released by Jesus. There's nothing that I can explain to you. You take your time and you read it again. John 15, 4 and 5. You read it in your own time. And as God told Moses, meditate on it. Hey, you meditate on it. You meditate on what is the vine, you meditate on what is the branches, you meditate on what you are, you meditate on what the creator of heaven and earth is. And there's nothing that I can add to it. It's clear as day. If you do not abide in Jesus, you cannot bear fruit. That's it. I can tell you, you can try things of the earth. You can try. You'll achieve something as what you call success. But I can tell you it won't work. He is the vine. You are the branches. If you abide with Jesus and He in you, you will bear much fruit, Jesus says. You will bear much fruit. Hallelujah. This beautiful morning. I want to tell you, He is the Word. The Bible says in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word was God. The Word became flesh and dwelt amongst us. He is the Word. Hallelujah. He is the book of the law. Hallelujah. He will make you prosperous. He will give you success. Hallelujah. And this morning you say, How do I abide in Jesus? How do I do that? How can I do that? I'll tell you, it's very simple. You know, all of us have, if if you look at your current life, or maybe even if you want to look back, there's been this time when you've invested a lot of time in a relationship. We all have done it. Come on. A lot of time in a relationship. Maybe it's your spouse today, maybe it's a loved one, it's a family member. But we all know maybe it's a friendship. Can be multiple things, but we all know what it's like to invest in a relationship with a human being. Just so that you can get stronger in that relationship with them. But how do you expect to get anything from God or get any deeper with God if you don't have a relationship with him? So simple. I told you it's simple. It's easier said than done, but it's very simple. Read the Bible. Hallelujah. I've told you before, get up and say good morning, Jesus, rather than going to your phone or your tab or your news or Instagram. Get up and say, Lord, I leave everything at your feet. When was the last time you did that? Hey, you can say it any time in the day. It's not necessary you have to do it in the morning. You can do it 10 times in a day, you can do it 50,000 times in a day. It's up to you. You can shut that door and say a prayer in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, say a prayer. You know, some people think that you need fancy words. You don't need fancy words. The Bible says, call unto me and I will answer. It's as simple as that. Hey, Joshua didn't even say anything for 40 years. Hallelujah. Sit down. Get on your knees. Stand up if you like. Raise your hands. Raise your hands up. Go flat on the ground. Ask him to take control of it all. Ask him to enter your life. There's no limit that you can invest if you want a strong relationship with God. And I think if each one of you who are hearing today knows that. Because we've all at some point invested in a relationship with a human being. And we know how that ended up. Some good, some bad, some mediocre. But that's not important. We all know how to build a relationship with our friends, with our family members, with our close ones, our loved ones. We go out, we eat meals together, we plan vacations together. When was the last time you did that with Jesus? Close that door today, build a relationship with Jesus. Start somewhere, right? You have to start somewhere. Let it be today. That you choose to go to Jesus. And let me tell you someone, let me tell you something this morning. He's the only one who loves you unconditionally. All these people that you've invested in relationships with, of course, they love you, and yes, they love you unconditionally, but it's human love. I don't know anyone who would come down on this planet and get on a cross for me. He did that for you. He did that for me. Yes, he did that for you. Hallelujah. Keep the book of law near you, keep Jesus near you, meditate on it day and night, talk to him day and night, abide in him. Without him, you cannot bear any fruit. It's the words of Jesus. You don't like it? Take it up when the time comes. And I'm coming back to the main story now. I told you it's a beautiful, it's a beautiful passage of scripture that binds everything together. John 15, 4 and 5. Meditate on it. And I'm coming back to Joshua now. For those who didn't know, as I said, Joshua sought the presence of God without making a single request of him, being in the tent of meeting, without asking a list, without having any wants. Nothing. He just stayed in the presence of the most high. And that same Joshua, I want to tell you, who abided in the law, who sought the countenance of God for almost 40 years. For those of you who don't know, and some of you do, that same Joshua, who was a man, made the sun stand still on his command. The Bible says there never has been a day when God heated the voice of man to make the sun stand still. And just to be sure that it doesn't move, he also made the moon stand still. Hallelujah. And let me tell you why the Bible says that there never has been a day that way. Because I don't think anyone else has ever stood and had the faith that they could make the sun stand still. Because Joshua had a relationship with God. Hallelujah. He built a foundation of 40 plus years, give or take, in just being in the presence of God, you know, and ask him for anything. Come on. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And I want to tell you this beautiful morning for those of you who do abide in Jesus. You're probably thinking to yourself, I do abide in Jesus. I do believe in him. I do keep everything at his feet. I want to tell you, just as was released upon Joshua, will be released upon you this morning and this day. The blessing of the Most High. And I release it from the book of Joshua 1-3. And you can make note, this is for you this morning who abide in Jesus, every place on which the sole of your footsteps I have given to you. Hallelujah. No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you. Hallelujah. Amen. This beautiful day. Decide to have a relationship with God. You need to understand, He is the vine and you are the branches. Without Him you can bear no fruit. There'll be nothing good. Besides, when Jesus is with you. Let Him not depart from your mouth. Let the word, let the law be known. And the only way you will know it is by having a relationship with God. And as I said, some of us do have a relationship with God. We do have a deep relationship with God. And you'd say, I do fall in that bracket like Joshua did, who just decided to spend time in his presence to seek the countenance of the Most High. Yes, and for that, he will give you every place that your soul goes on to. He will not let any man stand before you all the days of your life. Can you even imagine this blessing from the most high? No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Can you imagine Joshua's life? Wow. I told you he won every battle. He won every battle. And he was the person who took Israel into the promised land. 500,000 or excuse me. Why? Because he had a relationship with God. Abide in me. Hallelujah. I'd like to pray. Your Lord, I thank you for this beautiful time, Lord. Thank you for this wonderful, wonderful word, your double-edged sword that cuts through bone and marrow, that does not go back until it has achieved what it has been set out for. I thank you for your presence that people can feel. I thank you, Lord, that some doors are being opened. Hallelujah. I thank you, Lord, for your word that says, Every place that our foot treads upon, you have already given to us. Hallelujah. I thank you, Lord, for your word that says, You will be with us all the days of our life, and no man can stand against us, just as you promised to Joshua. Hallelujah. I thank you, Lord, for this beautiful time. I thank you for your word. I thank you, Lord. This beautiful day that hearts are turning to you. You are the vine, Lord, and we are just the branches. And we leave everything at your feet this beautiful morning. You are the vine and we are the branches, Lord. We leave everything at your feet. Just as you have given us this prayer when you on this planet. Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen. I thank you for your beautiful presence this day, Lord. I thank you for your wonderful, wonderful blessings that you've released upon us. I thank you for your word. I thank you for your love. I thank you for the mercies that are new every morning. I thank you, Lord, that you're already changing situations. Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful time. In Jesus' name. Amen.
