Nexcast is an engaging podcast from Nexus International School, Singapore. It is led by our talented secondary learners, guided by the nurturing expertise of Mr. Kevin Bennett, our dedicated music teacher. Our mission is to dive into the world of podcasting, creating episodes that are not only entertaining and informative but also deeply connected to the values and interests of our school and the wider community. Our goal is to enhance our experiences and deliver valuable content to our listeners.

Looking into Learner Leadership with Michael Hayes
Jack and KK host an insightful chat with English Teacher and Learner Leadership Co-ordinator Michael Hayes. Alongside learner leadership they talk about life at Nexus, living in Singapore and the reality following a struggling Premier League team.
Following 11 years of teaching in the UK, Malaysia and China, Michael moved to Singapore to join the English team at Nexus. He is passionate and enthusiastic about working with children to realise their potential. As a keen purveyor of holistic education, he has a firm belief that education comes not only within the classroom, but out of it.
With his role as the Learner Leadership Coordinator and his experience with pastoral leadership, he sees immense value in developing opportunities for learner agency and learner voice. Michael enjoys being engaged in continuous professional development to broaden his knowledge and experience. He has recently completed his National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership.
