In Episode 18 of the Baron’s Faith Farm Podcast, The Gardener - returns to the First Principle of Goodness:
Be Good to Yourself
Recorded on a peaceful spring morning in London, this deeply reflective episode explores the hidden forces that prevent people from finding peace, happiness, and balance in their lives.
As birds gather in the garden, roses bloom beneath purple wisteria, and London breathes calmly beneath blue skies, Darbari reflects on a simple but powerful truth:
Nature fulfils its duty every day. Do we fulfil ours?
Drawing upon the wisdom of the Guru Granth Sahib, he introduces the concept of the Five Thieves — the inner forces that quietly steal human peace and goodness:
- Kām — Uncontrolled Desire
- Krodh — Anger
- Lobh — Greed
- Moh — Attachment
- Hankār — Ego
These “Five Thieves,” he explains, weaken discipline, destroy peace, and prevent people from becoming the best version of themselves.
In this episode, listeners are encouraged to become:
- Their own policeman
- Their own judge
- Their own protector
By learning to recognise and control the destructive habits within.
The episode also explores:
- Why being good to yourself is not selfish
- How stress quietly damages modern life
- The importance of Positive Mental Attitude (PMA)
- The role of discipline, boundaries, and self-respect
- Why strong individuals create strong families and societies
- The growing vision behind Baron’s Faith Farm (BFF)
Baron’s Faith Farm is a nonreligious, nonpolitical, nonaligned spiritual movement dedicated to creating peaceful spaces where people can reconnect with goodness, nature, and themselves.
Darbari also invites listeners to help shape the future of the movement by becoming Ambassadors of Goodness and helping locate the first Baron’s Faith Farm property.
As The Gardener reminds us:
“If we do not imprison the Five Thieves… they will imprison us.”
Plant the seed.
Strengthen yourself.
Let goodness begin with you.
