Are the Holidays Happy?
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Let’s get into the holidays. When you think about it, are they really happy? As early twenty-somethings visiting home this season, Oshae and Calyx discuss how this stereotypically “joyous” time can actually prove to be more difficult than some might think. Between navigating new normals with your parents as a new-found adult, demystifying the eldest daughter trope, managing seasonal depression, and missing the peace and tranquility of your own apartment, the two talk about it all. Perhaps it’s time for us to ditch the holidays as we once knew it and start our own traditions? Adulting is very ghetto might we add.
