After a short break, Positively Beaming is back! In this relaxed and reflective solo episode, Jenny Cole jumps behind the mic for an unscripted chat about the value of showing up—imperfectly, but authentically. Inspired by a recent catch-up with fellow women in business, Jenny shares why it’s okay to pause, reset, and return without all the bells and whistles.

This new mini summer series isn’t about leadership theory—it’s about pausing to reflect on who you want to be and how you want to show up in 2026. Whether you're tuning in from the beach or a picnic blanket, this gentle episode invites you to take a breath and be present.

If this vibe speaks to you, share it with a friend, save the episode, or leave a quick review. Thanks for being here—let’s dive in.

Hello and welcome to Positively Beaming: the podcast. I’m Jenny Cole, and it’s lovely to be back in your ears.

We’ve had a little hiatus. Things got a bit busy—both for me and for my clients and podcast guests—so it was nice to take a short break. But I’ve had this overwhelming urge to start recording again.

And because I didn’t have any guests lined up, I thought, “Just turn on the microphone, Jen, and start talking.” So that’s exactly what I did—talking about what’s on my mind, hoping it might resonate with some of you.

Last night, I caught up with a group of women in business—many of whom have podcasts—and we chatted about how lots of us pause our shows over the summer. Many of them have kids, and juggling everything can get a bit much. So they take a break, and that’s perfectly okay.

As always, I could have waited until everything was beautifully scripted, with the right equipment and setup—but I didn’t. Because, as I say in my Sunday Love Note, I absolutely believe that done is better than perfect. If I waited for everything to be perfect, I’d never put anything out into the world.

So here’s my little dose of imperfection, and I hope you enjoy it.

This summer series will be relatively short episodes. I’m not planning to teach you anything new—this isn’t Leadership 101. Instead, it’s more reflective: Who do I want to be? How do I want to show up in 2026?

I imagine some of you listening might be on the beach, at a picnic, or watching your kids play—so maybe now is a good time for a little self-reflection.

If this kind of episode isn’t your thing, that’s absolutely fine—feel free to skip it. We’ll be back in the new year with content more tailored to school leadership.

But if you are here—thank you. If you enjoy what’s coming up over the next few episodes, I’d love it if you could forward it to a friend, save the episode, or even leave a review on your favourite podcast platform.

As I said, these aren’t highly produced podcasts—it’s just me, having a chat with you.

Thanks for your time, and listen on as we dive into the first episode of this summer series. I’m so glad you’re here.
