How do you prepare for a 5pm-3am shift? Why is the wait so long at the Emergency Department? Is there an alternative to the traditional, didactic lectures?
We talk about the usual doctor-y stuff: how he found med school (spoiler: it wasn't the best experience), what drew him in to Emergency Medicine, and the funny and sad experiences that occur within the hospital walls.
But more than that, we talk about his involvement in med student teaching (he has a stethoscope which can record sounds!), his trips overseas to provide medical aid to remote communities + his exploits in the photography, make-up and music industries.
