Ep #62 - Why Does God Let People Get Away With Evil? - Malachi Pt 3

Bolton, Jordy, Neil & Floyd

“Ever since the days of your ancestors, you have scorned my decrees and failed to obey them. Now return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “But you ask, ‘How can we return when we have never gone away?’”

Hey guys! Welcome Back to the GraftedIn podcast. Tune in this episode as the lads continue on with their deep dive into the Book of Malachi. This episode they’ll be discussing Chapters 3&4.

Moving on from Warning the Elders of the Church, Chapters 3 & 4 focus primarily on the relationship between God as Judge, the people’s lack of repentance and the reasons or excuses why they believe they shouldn’t bother following God anymore.

Tithes and offerings and curses for not tithing or ‘robbing God’ are a big theme in Chapter 3. As well as the decrease of morality that God calls the people out for, the attitudes surrounding what could lead to a descent of character are made evident by the responses given in the text, and so tune in! As the lads comment on these dialogues and discuss the implications it has on Christians TODAY.

Based on the scriptures, the fellas also unpack Gods attitude towards repentance, his eagerness to not just judge the wicked people of the world but also to show compassion and mercy to those who call on His name!
