Ep #66 - Hospitality Isn’t Worth It!... Is It?

Bolton, Jordy, Neil & Floyd

“Rather, he must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must love what is good. He must live wisely and be just. He must live a devout and disciplined life.”
‭‭~
Titus‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.”
‭‭~ 1 Peter‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Undervalued. Underemphasised. Over Spiritualised.

What does it really mean to ‘show hospitality’ or ‘be hospitable?’ Is it actually a biblical principle we should all practice? Or is it just one of the spiritual gifts that you either have or you don’t? And besides! What’s the difference between being hospitable and entertaining people? After all it’s not like it really matters or has any effect on the kingdom anyway…

“One of the least hospitable places to find yourself is inside a hospital.”

A brilliant quote that unfortunately sums up the state of today’s society and culture when people think about the idea of hospitality. But the Bible calls us to something much much different!

Tune in this episode as the fellas discuss the answers to all these questions from a biblical perspective, whilst also listing and breaking down the potential excuses or gripes people could have, with many things, that would affect their attitude towards hospitality.
