As you know, there are plenty"},{"startTime":321.758,"endTime":325.534,"body":"of things that actually fall under SEO, and that's kind"},{"startTime":325.542,"endTime":329.182,"body":"of where that ecosystem, like, almost starts with blogging,"},{"startTime":329.246,"endTime":332.798,"body":"backlinks, all of those pieces, and then email"},{"startTime":332.854,"endTime":336.526,"body":"marketing. So really just like any individual"},{"startTime":336.638,"endTime":340.446,"body":"kind of, like, distribution channel that you're, like, distributing content"},{"startTime":340.518,"endTime":343.758,"body":"through could be ads. One of yours might be"},{"startTime":343.814,"endTime":347.118,"body":"networking, so in person events could be another"},{"startTime":347.174,"endTime":350.954,"body":"one. So a few other ones that came to mind that I'm curious if you"},{"startTime":369.346,"endTime":372.81,"body":"would also consider them avenues or channels. I love that extra word would be like,"},{"startTime":372.85,"endTime":376.514,"body":"referrals. Or is that more of, like a byproduct of a marketing"},{"startTime":376.562,"endTime":380.066,"body":"channel? So it's kind of thinking through where do"},{"startTime":480.462,"endTime":483.942,"body":"they start their search, do they go to social media? Are they asking"},{"startTime":484.006,"endTime":487.798,"body":"friends, family, colleagues, someone along those lines, are they going to"},{"startTime":487.854,"endTime":491.65,"body":"Google ChatGPT? Like there's all these different ways that someone"},{"startTime":491.69,"endTime":495.426,"body":"can start their search and then what's the next step they take? Maybe"},{"startTime":495.458,"endTime":498.898,"body":"they do search Google and they're not really finding what they want. They might turn"},{"startTime":498.954,"endTime":502.642,"body":"to searching Instagram instead, then asking friends and"},{"startTime":502.666,"endTime":506.13,"body":"family. There's a lot of different, like, kind of paths they can take. And the"},{"startTime":506.17,"endTime":509.89,"body":"great part about also doing the buyer's journey, like understanding that"},{"startTime":509.93,"endTime":513.698,"body":"is you also start to understand what type of information are they looking"},{"startTime":513.754,"endTime":517.562,"body":"for to help make that decision. So when you think about it that way, all your buyers are going"},{"startTime":533.026,"endTime":536.73,"body":"to be different depending on what they're looking for, what"},{"startTime":536.77,"endTime":540.57,"body":"your product or service is. And then you can start to say, okay, I"},{"startTime":540.61,"endTime":544.43,"body":"know these need to be kind of top of funnels, pieces that bring"},{"startTime":544.47,"endTime":548.318,"body":"awareness to my brand. Here's kind of the next step."},{"startTime":548.374,"endTime":551.87,"body":"They might want to join my email list. They might want to like"},{"startTime":551.91,"endTime":555.47,"body":"binge my podcast. You know, depending on kind of what you have,"},{"startTime":555.59,"endTime":558.91,"body":"those would be like middle of funnel. And then like website, email"},{"startTime":558.95,"endTime":562.59,"body":"marketing. Some of those pieces would be like the bottom of funnel as"},{"startTime":562.63,"endTime":566.462,"body":"well. Gotcha. So the marketing ecosystem, we're thinking of how people are"},{"startTime":566.486,"endTime":570.316,"body":"coming in our world, how we're nurturing them, and then really how they're"},{"startTime":570.348,"endTime":572.94,"body":"getting to that point of deciding like, oh, okay, I want to buy a thing"},{"startTime":572.98,"endTime":576.604,"body":"or hire this person for a service. Yeah. And the other piece"},{"startTime":576.652,"endTime":579.948,"body":"too is thinking about how to re engage them So a lot of the times"},{"startTime":580.004,"endTime":583.708,"body":"people are either going to, you know, we get distracted easily"},{"startTime":583.804,"endTime":587.532,"body":"in this day and age. Right. Or we're just"},{"startTime":587.556,"endTime":591.26,"body":"like frustrated because we're not really getting the answer we want. So we"},{"startTime":591.3,"endTime":594.972,"body":"just like put it on the back burner until it becomes a problem again and"},{"startTime":594.996,"endTime":597.98,"body":"that we need to look for it. So thinking about ways to re engage those"},{"startTime":598.02,"endTime":601.772,"body":"people is that like when you capture their email then you're able"},{"startTime":601.796,"endTime":605.292,"body":"to re engage them through email marketing. It might be"},{"startTime":605.396,"endTime":608.812,"body":"retargeting ads. So if they come to your website and they don't take an"},{"startTime":608.836,"endTime":612.364,"body":"action, then they are going to start getting ads from you. There's a lot of"},{"startTime":612.372,"endTime":616.012,"body":"different ways you can do that, but that is like one of those pieces. Like"},{"startTime":616.036,"endTime":619.24,"body":"the re engagement piece is also pretty critical there too."},{"startTime":619.78,"endTime":623.004,"body":"I always forget about that one and I feel like so many of us do."},{"startTime":623.092,"endTime":626.24,"body":"It's like, oh yeah, you have leads in your pipeline. And that's like a little bit more of like an advanced thought process"},{"startTime":630.672,"endTime":634.328,"body":"for marketing. Yeah. Like let's say I'm a"},{"startTime":638.16,"endTime":641.992,"body":"new business owner and I'm like hearing all of this stuff and I'm hearing top"},{"startTime":642.016,"endTime":645.064,"body":"of funnel, middle of funnel, bottom of funnel. And I'm like, okay, I need to"},{"startTime":645.072,"endTime":647.416,"body":"have a way to get out there. I need to have a way to nurture"},{"startTime":647.448,"endTime":650.296,"body":"people and I need to have a way to like basically close the deal. I'm"},{"startTime":650.328,"endTime":654.04,"body":"thinking of in my head, where should we even start? Because I know"},{"startTime":654.08,"endTime":657.384,"body":"that with like the whole like buyer's journey, one thing that I see trip a"},{"startTime":657.392,"endTime":661.048,"body":"lot of clients up is that they're like, I don't know where they're going. I've"},{"startTime":661.064,"endTime":664.504,"body":"asked people and they don't have an answer for me. So when we get there,"},{"startTime":664.672,"endTime":668.456,"body":"where should we go? So if you think about yourself when you're"},{"startTime":668.488,"endTime":672.024,"body":"making a decision to actually purchase something, it's also going to"},{"startTime":672.032,"endTime":675.88,"body":"depend wildly. Right. If I'm buying a car, my decision making process"},{"startTime":675.92,"endTime":679.096,"body":"is going to be very different than if I'm going to pick out a piece"},{"startTime":679.128,"endTime":682.776,"body":"of candy just a little bit. Right."},{"startTime":682.848,"endTime":686.3,"body":"So think about like your own buying behavior"},{"startTime":686.88,"endTime":690.696,"body":"and then sometimes we do know what that information is. So that's kind of how we want to like look at"},{"startTime":727.756,"endTime":731.508,"body":"it. So you are going to want to just take your best"},{"startTime":731.564,"endTime":734.788,"body":"educated guess to kind of figure out what does that actually look"},{"startTime":734.844,"endTime":738.004,"body":"like. But then when you're actually putting it into"},{"startTime":738.092,"endTime":741.63,"body":"practice, I actually like to look at the funnel upside down."},{"startTime":741.78,"endTime":744.522,"body":"So I like to start with the bottom of funnel and make sure all of"},{"startTime":744.546,"endTime":748.154,"body":"those pieces are really solid. Because there's"},{"startTime":748.202,"endTime":751.674,"body":"no point in getting people even into your funnel if they're going to get to"},{"startTime":751.682,"endTime":755.402,"body":"the bottom and not do anything about it. Right? Yeah. So"},{"startTime":755.426,"endTime":759.178,"body":"if you almost look at it that way, make sure, assuming your website"},{"startTime":759.234,"endTime":762.65,"body":"is kind of like the sales tool that you're using to get people to inquire,"},{"startTime":762.73,"endTime":766.522,"body":"purchase whatever it looks like, making sure that's really solid."},{"startTime":766.666,"endTime":770.442,"body":"Then what are your middle of funnel pieces? Making sure those are really solid. It's posting on social media, like"},{"startTime":777.926,"endTime":781.454,"body":"those type of things. It's the other two pieces that are usually the sticking"},{"startTime":781.502,"endTime":785.07,"body":"point. So you can just get a bunch of people in your funnel and"},{"startTime":785.11,"endTime":788.862,"body":"make little tweaks from there. What are some examples? Just"},{"startTime":788.886,"endTime":792.574,"body":"to make it like really sticky for people. Like, definitely. I mean, social media, of"},{"startTime":792.582,"endTime":796.414,"body":"course we're thinking of that top of funnel, maybe even podcasts in there. I feel"},{"startTime":796.422,"endTime":799.962,"body":"like podcasts could even fit in like middle of the funnel as well. What are"},{"startTime":799.986,"endTime":803.242,"body":"some of those examples? So I'll let you answer for middle and bottom of"},{"startTime":803.266,"endTime":807.002,"body":"funnel. And that's a great point too about the podcast."},{"startTime":807.146,"endTime":810.842,"body":"Some of your marketing channels actually might fit into multiple."},{"startTime":810.906,"endTime":814.602,"body":"So I would say podcasts fit into multiple channels. So to have a funnel. Yes.
