Holistic Edge Radio
Holistic Edge Radio is a podcast that explores choices for wellness to clarify, often cryptic to seemingly simplistic material or regarded as irrelevant to more complicated topics such as new ideas in the environment, or what other cultures in the US have to bring in ways of healing ourselves, others, and the land we live on. It is about a new understanding as these fields change and grow. The show will feature holistic practitioners, medical professionals, sustainability/environment pioneers, energy healers, pet/animal holistic practices, new ideas to address age old problems like hoarding/clutter, addressing psychological and emotional imbalances, ways to address writing, and much more. There will be a tendency to learn more from those located on the East Coast, but this is not a hard fast rule as the program grows.

85. Holistic Edge Radio Matthew Fox, Renowned American/Spiritual Theologian Discusses the Christmas Stories: What is their Deeper Meaning, Their Political Impact, The Power of Myths & How Hope is A Necessary Factor in Life. Host E.A.B, 12. 25. 25
Matthew Fox will speak to us about the Christmas stories around the birth of Jesus and how his arrival brought out political enemies, but how it is also about what he represented, hope to the many who wanted change in the world from politicians to rich oppressors. We are reminded that it was the poor shepherds, who were asked by angelic beings to come to see Jesus; that it was animals like sheep and the oxen who were present at the birth, not those in power. How the Magi, who were not Jewish, came from afar searching for a king or messiah who could bring about a better life for people that the prophecies spoke about. How Jesus represents a universal God who loves humanity so much that he incarnated into human form to be among us, and by doing so makes everything about us who live in the flesh sacred as well. He speaks about the power of myth and how myth teaches us about wisdom and how myth also represents teachings on morality, which goes beyond rational or factual knowledge about an event. Matthew Fox discusses these points and much more in our talk.
