You you you lost me at the anime part. Alright, hold on. Let me rephrase. Let me get this back. Thank you for being here too. Yeah, no, I'm I'm I can't do this.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, oh yeah. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

What the fuck was that? I'm excited. I'm ready to go.

SPEAKER_04

Let's do this. Yeah, but I need to start having like I need the viewers to start seeing what the fuck you be doing in here, bro. Like, I feel like because there's not a camera on here, you'll be you be doing some wild shit that you know that's not gonna be photographed.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I gotta enjoy it while it lasts. Hey, it's gonna get photographed. Listen, once the cameras are here, you don't know me. Alright. Merry Christmas, but you too, Pops. How you doing? Pretty good, pretty good. Oh, how was your Christmas? It was good. I got to have some family time. We ate some great food. We ate some pozole, if you know what pozole is. You don't know pozole. Pozole is great. It's like soup, it's delicious. No, it's not like soup. It's hard for me to describe it.

SPEAKER_04

You're never gonna beat the allegations. Were you at your father's house?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Or Latinos.

SPEAKER_04

Please, sir, may I have another. Is that what you said? You will never beat the allegations. Did you go to your old bedroom with Rocco?

SPEAKER_01

But but it the food was delicious. I got to, I got, I got seconds. And then after that, I was You did say, please, sir, may I have You did say Hey, it was good. What can I say? It was great. And then after that, I just I went on the sofa and I almost took a nap. I was full. What about you? The usual.

SPEAKER_04

The usual, like every time.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh. Uh-huh.

The Vegas Trip And Blown Budget

SPEAKER_04

I am Santa. Uh-huh. Santa had no money. Santa went to Vegas. And Santa lost a lot of money for Christmas presents and the podcast. And the best way to break it to you that we I spent the budget is at a podcast where you can't threaten me because we're on recording. So just to let you know, Buck, our new debut will be next week. Yeah. Hey, he took it lightly than I thought.

SPEAKER_02

I know how I thought about that.

SPEAKER_04

You know, he took it way better than I thought he did. I have a problem. It's the first thing I could say is just to commit to saying I have a problem, Buck. I I blame the weekend. You were there. No, the actual rapper, the weekend. He blinded me by the lights. I want to be in the lights.

SPEAKER_01

But that was you.

SPEAKER_04

That was all you're on Mary. Come on, Buck. It is Christmas. Christmas is about forgiving. Forgiving people of their wrongdoing. And the wrongdoing of me is I wasn't a good person on Christmas. Thank you for the Christmas present. I truly appreciate that. I have no Christmas present for you. We all know why. But I promise you set us back. I promise you a Christmas present will be coming to you eventually. It will be golden.

SPEAKER_01

I appreciate that. I appreciate that.

SPEAKER_04

Which, when I mean golden, I mean I'll probably buy you a figure of Hunter, Hunter, X Hunter, or something.

SPEAKER_00

Ayy, hey.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know. I'll figure something out. I'm pretty good at gift giving when I have money. Right now I'm broke. Sorry, everybody. Sorry, community. Yes, Mr. High spent all the money.

SPEAKER_01

No money.

SPEAKER_04

I'm broke. Broke, broke, broke.

SPEAKER_01

No podcast.

SPEAKER_04

Podcast is still going. You're here. We're working. We're just working with no money, no budget, in the cold with the heater on and with some lights. The lights might go out too.

Betting On Jake Paul And Odds

SPEAKER_01

Did we pay that? I don't know. We might we might get kicked out of the building at some point. God damn it. You gotta enjoy it while it lasts. Okay, so we're gonna have to figure that out. Yep.

SPEAKER_04

Anyway, Merry Christmas, Buck. Merry Christmas to you. Alright. It worked out for me, guys. I ain't dead yet. Alright, so we're moving on. It was a crazy week, a crazy two weeks of craziness. I was in Vegas gambling my life away. While I was in Vegas, I literally touched down. I mean, the second I touched down in Vegas. This is why it's not my fault, Buck. I put$200 on Jake Paul winning that fight.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_04

It was plus 700. I can't I can't believe you bet. It was plus 700.

SPEAKER_01

We have a former champ. 6'6.

SPEAKER_04

I understand. I understand that, but when Mike Tyson was no, when when um uh Floyd Money Mayweather was in his era, did you bet against him?

SPEAKER_01

Jake Paul is not Mayweather. Maybe numbers-wise, money-wise, probably. He is a talent-wise, he's a phenomenal boxer, and I'm here to defend Jake Paul.

SPEAKER_04

He lasted six rounds with a former champion in the heavyweight division, 50 pounds over him, and he didn't get knocked out.

SPEAKER_01

He just got two jaws broken. And he got taken apart piece by piece, round per round, up until his jaw got snapped. So worth so it was a good bet.

SPEAKER_04

It was worth a bet, you know? I had a chance to win that bet. He won the first two rounds. It was plus 700. I can't believe you can't like can you understand? Can you understand the pain I went through? Just touching, just touching down in Vegas, thinking I'm about to cash out, and all of a sudden I lose$200 before I even check into the room.

SPEAKER_01

What a what a weight to start that trip.

SPEAKER_04

I know. I know. But I made it back on the craps. What?

SPEAKER_01

Craps table. Oh, yeah, yeah. Before you rolled the dice. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

You ever seen Rush Hour 2?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I had the please blow for me real quick.

unknown

Bah!

Breaking Down The Fight And Aftermath

SPEAKER_04

But yeah, no, it was I had a blast. I lost a lot of money. I came back home safe, unscathed, and untouched, you know? Isn't that that's the most important thing? Buck, the most important thing about this relationship. Very poor though.

SPEAKER_01

Buck. No, no, I mean, you know, I'm glad you're here and all, but I can't deny the facts. It happened.

SPEAKER_04

Can we can we can we acknowledge the fact that I came home safe? With no like sharks coming after me, no mafiono after me. The mafiono's been dangerous this year. Like, think of it. Think of my safety, Buck.

SPEAKER_01

I'm glad you're here. Thank you.

SPEAKER_04

Alright, now that we can get past that. How did you feel about the Jake Paul fight?

SPEAKER_01

Man, it was that's how it was destined to be. It was it was always a boy, it was always gonna be like this. If Jake Paul fought a real legit boxer, this is how it was gonna end. It was gonna be. I will give him props though. He didn't get knocked out, and I'll give him that. But he got his jaw snatched. Absolutely broken. Anthony Joshua, I don't even I don't even know if you can give any credit to Anthony Joshua for this. If anything, it should have ended much earlier. Sixth round, I feel like that's just dragging it too much. He probably dragged it on for way too much.

SPEAKER_04

In my credit, all I thought Jake Paul was winning this. I thought the problem child was gonna be a champion. No one could deny him no more. No one can say he ain't the best in the world at what he do. But no, all y'all haters got what y'all wanted. Y'all got to see his jaw broken, y'all got to see him knocked down, and y'all got to laugh at him for 48 hours. Now, what y'all gonna do when he comes back? What are y'all gonna do now that everyone thinks he can they can take him? Like if you're a boxer right now, right? You think you could take Jake. And you just see my boy, the boy who just fought him got paid a couple millions, more than a couple millions, right? So I cannot wait until all these boxers pull up wanting to fight the money-back problem child, Jake Paul, and we take him down.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I mean, I feel like if if he fights smaller guys, probably, but I feel like if he fights people his own weight, I don't know, man. I think he's gonna be a good thing.

SPEAKER_04

Six rounds with the former champion and didn't get really KO, got knocked down and then broke jawbroken, right? So you're telling me, guys, his size, his weight class, exact move, no champ, no champion ever touched, never touched a belt. You're telling me that guy is gonna be able to go six rounds with Jake Paul.

What Jake’s Loss Means For Boxing

SPEAKER_01

I mean, they're gonna go for his head, like, because obviously nobody wanted to touch him because it was it was gonna put a stain under legacy, right? But Anthony Joshua came in, took his jaw, and broke him down. And that's what he said he was gonna do it, and he did it. But what I'm thinking is He did take his jaw. He fucked him up. People after this, especially real boxers who take it like legit, you know what I mean, who fight professionally and all that, they're gonna come in and they're gonna go for his head. Because Anthony Joshua couldn't knock him out. So all these boxers that he's gonna fight, if they're gonna be his size, they're gonna go for that knockout. They're gonna go for that knockout, they're gonna try to sleep so so what you're telling me is my$200 bet was not that bad. No, it was pretty bad. Just on the wrong person. It was just on the wrong person. But you lost it, you're never getting it back.

SPEAKER_04

I'll get it back. I'm going back to Vegas eventually.

SPEAKER_01

Bruh. Podcast halted to 2035. That's what GTA 6 is gonna come out too.

SPEAKER_04

I'm not even thinking I know. What I'm what I'm thinking about doing is just opening up another bank account and just making it a business account. And just start putting money there. So I just stop touching it. It's not my fa dude. If it's there, I'm using it. Hey, to be fair, it's your money. You do what you want to do. I want this same energy when we're making money. When we're making a lot of money and I go on these benders, I don't want to hear shit.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, if the podcast is up, we got nothing.

SPEAKER_04

The par the podcast is gonna be up. I mean when I go on one of my benders, it won't be this light. You see that? Times it by five. Oof. And I mean times, nigga, not plus. Especially if you're trying to go low. No, times. That number.

SPEAKER_01

No, that's just wild.

SPEAKER_04

That's how much we'll lose in one of my benders. But all in all, it was it was a good fight. All in all, everybody got paid out. I had a phenomenal time watching it, and then everyone, everyone mad losing money, including me. But to be to be honest, he brings he brings the show. No, and and the 6ix9ine intro.

SPEAKER_01

And to be honest with you, like on some real talk, right? No hating. This was such a smart and strategic move for him to make. Because if he would have won, the conversation would have still kept going, right? These fights are, you know, I don't want to get sued, so I'm not gonna say it, but you know what I want to say. You can say allegedly. Allegedly, they're rigged, right? Yeah. So if he would have won, that would have been the conversation. But the fact that he lost gives more credit to his fight, and it gives him more credit as a boxer.

SPEAKER_04

You wanna know why we ain't gonna get sued for that? Because the problem child don't rig shit. The problem child knocks niggas out.

SPEAKER_01

He just said he's suing anybody that says it.

SPEAKER_04

The problem child knocks people out, and the haters can't stand them. There's a difference.

SPEAKER_01

But no, this this loss to Anthony Joshua gave him big needed boost as a legitimate boxer. Yeah, I think a lot of him credit for that. From now on, he's most likely gonna be fighting real boxers. Like Anthony Joshua, like either former champs or high level or maybe his own size. So this is a very this is a big turning point in his career as a whole. I think that's the character that is Jake Paul. I think the next fight he should take is Pacquiao. But then that would that'll be going back down again. Like that wouldn't add anything because then you're just a weight bully. Pacquiao's small, Pacquiao's like 5'7, Jake Paul.

SPEAKER_04

Take out some legends, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but it wouldn't, like I said, it wouldn't add anything to him because he's fighting 5'7, 150-pound guys. He's what, like 200 and something? He's like a heavyweight. It would it that that's basically like when Logan Paul fought Mayweather. He got a bag out of it, but that didn't give him anything. What about Canelo? That's still smaller than him. I'm saying if he considers himself a real boxer, which now he basically is, he's gotta stick to his eyes and knock out people his size. You can go for a money fight, but that's not really he wants a belt, right? He said he wants a belt, he said he wants to be the best. So you gotta fight people your own size, you gotta knock people out your own size, not get knocked down. You know, your jaw's broken, so I don't know how that's gonna heal. But after this, you gotta stick to your size. If you keep going down, it's just mismatches, and it's just circus fights is not gonna add or give anything away.

Hell’s Paradise Hype Versus Fear Factor

SPEAKER_04

Alright, well, you know what? You bore me. But you know what? You're fair enough. You have a good point. Whatever. Jake Paul, you did you did what you do, you got the bag, and everybody was entertained, and it was on Netflix, so it was even better than actually gonna watch it on some random ass pay-per-view channel and have to pay 80 bucks. So that's I'll call this a win. Basically. Also, anime news on this anime topic on real quick, bro. What's up with the what is up with everybody crashing out and just being so hyped for Hell's Paradise Season 2, which I'm starting to think that's gonna do a giant flop like how One Punch Man Season 3 is doing right now.

SPEAKER_01

Nah, I don't think so. I mean the trailer looks good compared to the One Punch Man. When you watch the One Punch Man trailer, you could tell it was gonna be bad because it was the same studio, and you could tell you could the same studio that already built a badass. Don't go on a hey Benjamin. No, no, no. That's what I'm saying. And you watched Hell's Paradise season one? Yes, yeah. The first season, as I want to be an anime fan if I didn't. Yeah, the first season was pretty good, to be honest with you. The animation was pretty good. It was fairly loyal to the to the story. You know, it was it didn't give us like over the top animation, but I feel like for the most part, it stayed loyal to the story. And the animation was a little above average, I would say. Not elite, but a little above average.

SPEAKER_04

I want to tell you right now. There's our there, like how to explain this. I know you are really into the CGI and aspects of everything, and you love like breaking it down piece by piece. Anime became great because of people like you. Me, on the other hand, all I care about is a great story, a great main character, a really dope side character, and a cause for action. What's a cause for action, you say? A cause for action means if I see you get smoked, or if someone else gets smoked, and there's a lot of talking, and there's just nothing bringing out of like there's no hate, there's no like I despise the person you're fighting. There's no point of me watching the fight. Like, let's be real right now. Watching season one, you remember season one, right? Name one of those guys they were fighting you actually did not like. Like, like, it's okay to like a bad guy, it's okay to like be like, oh, this evil dude was cool because he did that and he can do this, and he fought like this, or she fought like that, they're lovers, blah blah blah. I'm talking about that feeling when Modara pulled up. That feeling when you first met Atachi.

SPEAKER_01

That feeling we're talking 20 years of the making here versus that one season.

SPEAKER_04

No, no, that's what I'm saying. Think about this, think about this. First season of Naruto, how much did you despise Atachi? Like before we got this whole breakdown of Atachi life and we know what's going on. When you first met Atachi, when you first met these like bad guys who are now legendary anime evildoers, who's the guy in the midst? What's his name? Zabuza? Zabuza, like, think of like the times when you met these guys, they showed you some fear, and they got you a little heated while watching the show. So, like, you wanted your main character to win. So that's why I was like, damn, this even like Demon Slayer, like, even with the first episode, you wanted your boy to win because his whole family got gone, and this guy's moving like Michael Jackson in the streets. Now you mad because this man's a pretty nigga, and he's body in people. There's two levels of mad. And Hell's Paradise. I don't even know what I was mad about. I think I'm more mad at the like uh father with the daughter and shit, but that's barely bullshit.

SPEAKER_01

They're really not setting up a lot of villains yet. The thing is, the reason why I like Hell's Paradise because the first season shows you that nobody's safe. There was a whole lot of cool characters a lot of cool characters they introduced. Everybody got bodied. Everybody got bodied. And that was just the first season. Now, I get what you're saying. There's no there's no reason, there's like no feeling that keeps it going. But the first season was basically a big ass tease.

SPEAKER_04

I get it, and I understand the tease, and I understand the fight scenes, and I understand the talent, I understand the plot. It's actually dope when you really think about the world that they're trying to do. But what I'm trying to tell you is you didn't get that feeling.

SPEAKER_01

That's just a little cherry in the top, though.

What Makes Great Anime Stakes

SPEAKER_04

But that's what I need from an anime, though. Like an anime that's trying to do this, like you're gonna be bloodshed, you're gonna do battles, you're gonna have dope characters, dope side characters, overpowered characters, less powerful characters, cry scenes, emotional scenes. I need to be emotionally attached to this shit. Attack on Titans, perfect example. Name how many times you loved a character and you thought he was making it.

SPEAKER_01

Just count him. I'm I mean, really. Well, I mean, to be honest, on the first episode of Attack and Titan, like the first what, five minutes of Attack and Titan, you got exactly what the story was gonna be about.

SPEAKER_04

What to be honest, Hell's Paradise is a very safe anime, but it's more like how they plot up the evil people, like because like the first season of Attack on Titans, it was like it was like more like you know world building and mysteries. Well, first season you feared the Titans, right? Yeah, and then the second season, you you were feared of the Titans, but you was also feared of the two people that betrayed you, right? That fear and that anger. Then later, you just get the you get the story, like it just goes on that fear part. What I'm telling in Hell's Paradise, bro, there was no fear.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, I I get that. I get what you're saying. The battles were sick, like the fight scenes were sick. The world building is kind of the focus of the story for the most part. Like, they there is gonna be some pretty bad guys.

SPEAKER_04

Even solo leveling gave me fear, like that bug, bro. Really, that bro, that bug. That was pure hype. That bug, yo, that bug. We're not even talking about a human being, we're talking about a bug. Unbelievable amount of fear. Thought everyone was gonna die right there. Maybe one or two sit got saved. But all in all, the evil person did his job in Hell's Paradise. Who am I supposed to really be mad at? And the worst, and this is the part that like really pisses me off, and makes me really wonder why is everybody so hyped about it. Why are you like you're you're making a long time? How do I say this without sounding like a dumbass?

SPEAKER_03

I'm gonna sit on like a dumbass no matter what, huh?

SPEAKER_04

All right, you they made the plot, right? You get the plot, he's he's an evil assassin, they're trying to find the elixir of life and all that bullshit. They meet some gods in a world that they've never seen before, right? They meet up a person that's actually a friend of them, right? We're getting all this, right? Tell me why in every other anime and every other one I could think of, even Seven Deadly Sins, I cared about every other side character more. And all the side characters in Hell's Paradise are dope. Beautifully drawn, beautifully activated. Beautifully in the fight scenes. They're all crazy dope. Tell me why I care about everybody else's side character except them. They're like, really, name me one side character right now.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. Well, I'm not very good with names, but obviously there's the ninja girl, there's the guy with the glasses. Yep. He's he's probably he's probably that one character that's not super strong, but they're rooted to be like a very friendly, you know, protect be protected at all costs type of character.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, now this is how I'm gonna prove to you that the fear of the villains did not make the side character stand out enough. Name me a side character of Naruto. Gonohamaru. Name me a side character of Dragon Ball Z. Vegeta. Name me a side character of Seven Deadly Sins. Bon. Name me a side character of Full Metal Alchemist.

SPEAKER_01

Her. I don't remember. I don't know names. I don't remember names. I'm telling you, I'm really bad with names. I know exactly the character. I just named this one thing. Names are terrible with names. If you know me, I do not remember names at all. But I do know it was the girl with the blonde hair.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, no.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. No, no, listen. The part, the part that really hugged me, like, it made me just keep paying attention to this story was the part where there was the red hair guy who kind of, you know, obviously redhead, you always think about Shanks, right? So he was he was cool. He was he was what was he doing? He was guarding one of the big, like, big enemy guys. And then next thing you know, you think you're like, oh yeah, no, this guy's badass, he's gonna survive, he's gonna live toward the end of the series. Nope. He got clapped in two seconds by the giant. Okay. That part just made me go like, nobody's safe. Anybody could die at any point. But in that moment, did you fear the giant?

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_01

It's the move the story's moving too fast, it's not really sticking to any one person specifically apart from the main group.

Side Characters, Worldbuilding, And Pace

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, but that's fine. But if you're gonna kill a dope character off, like how you just said, like how you remember him because he like you remember him, he's dead. He's no, he's no longer gonna be in the story, he's already gone, but you remember him because he was so cool. Now you're telling me that you made him die off of a giant and you didn't enhance the fearness off the giant. I don't care if he's stupid, I don't care if he's crazy, I don't care if he has a big ego, I don't care if he's a master manipulator. Make me fear this guy. Make me like be like, oh man, if I ran into him. Like, I know everywhere ain't safe, but if I run into him, I'm gonna die. Did they make you feel like that?

SPEAKER_01

There was a pretty badass vice ego, but for the most part, I knew I knew that I knew that they were gonna kill him and shit like that. And they're it's it's mostly the immortal people that you're kind of scared of because they're fucking immortal.

SPEAKER_04

Are you scared of these guys?

SPEAKER_01

I'm low-key nervous because I haven't read that far in, so I feel like some people might get bodied.

SPEAKER_04

Are you really scared though? Well, like if Modera pulled up and it was either these immortal, it these immortal Asian guys and Modera, two people pulled up in front of you and Aruto.

SPEAKER_01

Nobody really dies, though. Like I get what you're saying, but nobody really dies in Aruto. On this one, bro, Juraia. Hitachi, Obito. Uh-huh. That's what so like 10 of the most important characters die, right? On this one, mostly side characters because there's only one season so far. But almost all side characters got clapped in the first season.

SPEAKER_04

But you don't care about those side characters.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because they haven't had 10 years plus of world building and character building. This is this is what, 12 episodes, I think. Everybody got clapped in like the first half of the series, and then eventually they started killing off characters. It was I get what you're saying, but at the same time, they're moving on so fast because they're gonna focus on probably season two, the group that comes after that, or the people you discover in the island, or or the mysteries you discover. The thing uh the reason I really like this one is because the world building it's it's really it's interesting, and it's something I haven't seen in a while. It's it I it feels pretty fresh, and obviously, I'm excited for season two. I just want to see what they're gonna offer me.

SPEAKER_04

Here, I promise you in episode two, you're gonna hate on it. We're gonna move on, but that I promise you, you're gonna hate on it. I'm excited.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, maybe, maybe I do. If I hate on it, I hate on it. You might. I might. You never know. Anything is possible.

SPEAKER_04

I know, I really do know. So, the anime you like, Farron has getting 10 episodes. I'm gonna rapid fire this one because you know I don't even care about Farron.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, yep. I'm hyped. 10 episodes. It's a little shorter than I thought because the first one was 24-ish, 25 episodes, but I do think the quality is probably gonna be very elite. Like, this is gonna be great quality for the it's gonna be great quality, dude. Don't care. Listen, the first season was amazing. I know, I know you don't like it, I know you kind of hated it, but dude, that that series that should have won anime of the year if it wasn't for solo leveling.

SPEAKER_03

No, it shouldn't have.

SPEAKER_01

It was literally only solo leveling in the way.

SPEAKER_04

That's the only thing I'll always give credit to solo leveling. Oh my god. I will always give solo leveling credit for that. It was cool, it was cool. Yeah, I don't care. What I do care about is Black Clover coming back 2026. It's official, it's announced my boy Asta is coming back with you know. What do you feel?

SPEAKER_01

Talk to me, brother. Bask in this greatness. The animation is gonna go crazy, bro.

SPEAKER_03

I've been waiting so long. I was a kid when I started watching Black Clover, and then I'm a full-grown adult.

SPEAKER_01

It's fucking old when it came out. What was it? Mid 2010s, maybe a little later 2010s. Yeah, a little later. A little later. I mean, fuck well with 2025 now, so that was.

SPEAKER_04

I'm just saying, like, how do you cancel a show that when like someone named their kids after them? Like, come on, like, you're really canceling a show like this. But I get why they did it, but I'm just glad we're back. We're back. I'm happy. Watch the new trailer that just came out. I'm pretty excited about that. I guess the only people that can't watch it is China right now, huh?

Trailer Talk And Season Two Expectations

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, China's going through it with Japan. Oh, that's so stupid. That's such a stupid fight. I'm sorry, too.

SPEAKER_04

I'm not in this. I refuse to be in this.

SPEAKER_01

I'm sorry to all my Chinese anime fans.

SPEAKER_04

No, I'm out of this. Have fun. Y'all deal with this. You know, if it comes down to it, y'all know where my Lublin, my allegiance life. Lie. I kind of fucked that up. Well, it doesn't matter. You know where I stand. Or you gato. Alright. Um Stranger Things Season 5 came out. How do you feel about that?

SPEAKER_01

Honestly, I have no idea. Talk to me. What you got for me? You didn't watch Stranger Things Season 5? No. I haven't watched this in season two. Maybe two and a half, maybe ish. I gave what I gave it the first season. First season was cool. Started the second season, and then it it just didn't really go anywhere for me, so I just stopped watching it since then. But I know it's taken them what? What is it, 10 years to finish the series? I won't lie. It is so weird watching these kids. They're not kids no more, bro. It's kind of weird. They're in their 20s already. They're like 22, 23 now. Dude, they started when they were what, like 15, 14?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Bro, like the girl, like, like the girl L, like she has a kid. Oh, 11? Yeah, she has a kid. Oh, yeah, Millie Bobby Brown. Adopted, but yeah, I get your point. And she's married too. And she's what, 22, 23 right now? This is ridiculous. And she started when she was like fucking. And we're trying to act like these are kids now? This is ridiculous. Nah, dude. Netflix, I don't know what the fuck Netflix was thinking. Every year they they waited longer and longer to produce the series. Like, bro, you gotta speedrun a series.

SPEAKER_04

I know the dude had literally his teeth were out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

He was missing teeth. That's how young he was. He had no teeth in the front of his face. And now he has teeth.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Ten years in the making, bro. Four seasons. Well, five seasons, right? Ten yeah. Yeah, no. A big series like that, you gotta, you gotta consistently pump it.

SPEAKER_04

I won't lie. Season five is the first part was really good, but then they came out with part two on Christmas. And uh the Christmas, like the Christmas thing of this is crazy. I won't even lie. Like watching all four was actually terrible. It was not it was not good, it was slow pacing, and like it was just like everything, like it just didn't feel right. It felt like all this stuff that they were talking about did not fit the story. What bro, we are we have 11 kids gone, and we have Vecna coming down, there's shit going down, and we're talking about bullshit.

SPEAKER_01

Bruh. I think it was rushed in some sort of way, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Not even rushed, it's like I feel like as a culture, as a culture, we're past the big dramatic reveal. I think we're past it now. Like, there's no way that we're still talking about these big dramatic reveals where you like it's just it just I feel like I feel like you could have said it when we're all about to die. Yeah, it would have been doper that way. Like, yo, it might be it. I just want to let you know. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But uh yeah, no, for the most part, the the discussions online have been that it's a pretty frustrating season.

Black Clover 2026 And Global Access

SPEAKER_04

It's just it was just frustrating to watch. The first two episodes, I was hooked. It was just like there was a big fight scene, like it was just like I was hooked, and then on the last two episodes, I was like, this is I was fast forwarding. I will be real with you. I didn't like if any like I I'll tell Stranger Things right now. If you think anyone just really sat there and watched that whole thing and not fast forward, you are out of your mind. That was a long speech, which we all knew in season three. But you gotta know again, you gotta know again. Like, if we're strange, like Stranger Things fans figured that out years ago, and you took a long time to just say it. You took in game for you to it takes in game, in game, bro? Not the first time you got caught, or when you moved to California and y'all reunited because the government was after you? Or how about the time when the Russians and the government was after you at the same motherfucking time? This was this, you know, this right here might be the perfect time, you know? Like, I feel like there were so many times where life was death. Whatever, bro. I'm just saying the plot didn't make sense.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, kind of over it. And they're they're getting uh they're bringing a new season now or something like that.

SPEAKER_04

I don't care. Okay, I just want this to end now.

SPEAKER_01

There you go.

SPEAKER_04

I I'm over now. I just want to see this end, finally see the final season and call it a day. It's over, dude. Unless if you're reanimating it, it's all animation. Maybe I'll watch it for the animation where they all stay young. Other than this, bro, this is just like I'll say this is just culture viewing. I like I don't even know how y'all say it, but this is just culture viewing.

SPEAKER_01

If you were there, you have to be there now.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, like I feel like five or six years, no one's gonna really watch this like this. Like, no one's gonna really care that much about this show.

SPEAKER_01

I could see that. I mean, yeah, like you said, people are mostly coming back because it's such an old series.

SPEAKER_04

It's just such an old series anymore.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and it's just kind of like at this point, you know.

SPEAKER_04

Like it's gonna keep it pushing, keep it pushing. Yeah, like there are gonna probably be some times, like maybe in the future, people turn it on. But let's be real. I think this show's gonna end like 13 reasons why. You had to be there.

SPEAKER_01

You had to be there. It was here and then it was gone, and then it was gone. Like you had to be there. Now it's just nope, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

No one's no one's really even talking about it. It just just clown on it. Just clown on it and talk about it.

Stranger Things Season 5 Frustrations

SPEAKER_01

Like, yeah, I'm very upset about it. It's so weird, man, because because like, you know, obviously I'm not a big fan of it, but it was such a big thing. Like the first two seasons.

SPEAKER_04

Bro, they want the last episode in the movie theaters, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Huge.

SPEAKER_04

That's what I'm telling you right now. That's what I said. Netflix ain't gonna end on the they're really gonna make the last episode that we're all waiting for in the theaters only. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

So if you really like the show, go you can go, you can go to the theaters and watch it there. I'm Gucci. Huh?

SPEAKER_04

I'm Gucci, bro. Yeah, I'll weigh into Netflix. Like, you know. No way y'all gonna give me that four episodes of just like what? And then just be like, oh, but I promise you the last episode is gonna be great. You wanna know how long the last episode is?

SPEAKER_01

I wanna say like an hour and a half. Three hours? Three hours for one episode for one episode, bro. That's a whole movie, bro. That's longer than a movie. A movie's pushing 230.

SPEAKER_04

Yep. Three episodes. Three hours.

SPEAKER_01

That's ridiculous. That's ridiculous. Yeah, but you know they're gonna sell hella tickets, though.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, 100%, bro. What? Like I said, this is a cultural view. You just gotta watch it because it's there. Like, Avatar is just gonna be forever. Like, it's gonna be like Titanic type of shit. You are gonna turn that on and watch that whole series and just be happy, even though it took a long time to make. Facts. Season three season five of Stranger Things, man. That there's just nothing I will ever. I don't know. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe maybe once it finishes, I'll I'll binge it. Or I guess maybe once it gets closer to finish it. I'll have to push my way through it, see if I can watch the whole thing. Because at this point, I'm not I'm not super interested in it. And seeing all these discussions about how you know this season was kind of weak, I'm like, man, that sucks. Cause you guys had a real good start. But if you're gonna end it in your series are, that's just disappointing.

SPEAKER_04

Phenomenal run. Phenomenal run.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, bad endings kill good series, bro. Bad ending kills good series. That's just it, bro. The writing ain't bad.

SPEAKER_04

It's just that the kids ain't kids. See, that's why I think that's why I think that's why we're tripping.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, I think I just had a brain blast on podcast, bro. Think about this. If they were kids, back when like how they were on season one, this like moment that everyone's shitting on will be more of a it'll be more, it'll be make more sense. Like, we feel like like as a viewer, I think we're all thinking like, yo, we you were five when we met you, or like nine or seven, whatever little age you were.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And now you're like 22 in high school or whatever, trying to play. And then you tell us this. Like it feels it feels too stretched out. But I feel like if they were kids still, like nine or ten or eleven, and then he he says it back like when he's a child and saying it instead of a grown-ass man and saying it, I think we'll all take it more better.

SPEAKER_01

For like it's it's definitely gotta be a mix of like hype and frustration, right? Yeah, it took so long to finish. But like you said, if if if they were still kids, that meant that the series was coming out at a very consistent pace, like page, yeah, pace for the most part. But it's taken so long, there's so much impact time.

SPEAKER_04

I think it's more cuter when you saw like a little kid, kid doing it instead of like a 22-year-old man playing a high schooler.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. That's a long time.

SPEAKER_04

That's a long time. That's a long time. And it's not even like we're talking about regular high school life, bro. You got chased by demigorgons, ghosts, you got sent to the other world. The other world, Russians, you, the US Army. Too much stuff happened for this to go down now.

SPEAKER_01

Now, now you're basically a vet, bro. Now you're a veteran. Like, it's yeah, you can go to you can go to the gunfight and everything.

SPEAKER_04

Like, I know all of y'all can grow beards. Like, that's the craziest part. Craziest part is to pretend all of y'all are little kids, but all I promise y'all, y'all ain't.

Aging Cast And Release Pacing Woes

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, that's that's too long. That's that's something the series the shows are gonna have to learn. You cannot, you cannot fuck with the pace. You gotta keep it pushing at least once. If you're not gonna release it every year, once every two years is good. Don't take three to four years and delays, and don't be don't be letting your kids grow up and be fucking 30 years old by the time you finish the story when they were starting with a 10.

SPEAKER_04

Or you should have animated.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's probably gonna be the way to go, to be honest. Yeah, once the series is done.

SPEAKER_04

Because it's a cash cow, so yeah, you can re-animate and just keep them as kids because it's just ridiculous. Definitely gonna be much better pace. Because now it's just like, bro, this doesn't even look cool. Because it'll be more, it just doesn't feel right. Yeah, it doesn't, they're all too old.

SPEAKER_01

And you've been waiting for this shit for a long time to get to this point. Yeah, you're right, you're right.

SPEAKER_04

Well, that's my take on Stranger Things season five. Take that as you will. I'd expect a lot of clips from that. Hopefully, not all right. We're gonna move on, we're gonna move on. Bro, bro, bro, bro, bro. US is starting our hunger games. Yup, I am ready for it, bro. Okay, so I'm gonna send you out there first. We're gonna train you. We're gonna put you in marksman classes, fighting karate, and also how to dodge a bullet.

SPEAKER_01

Ooh, and some Matrix Neo shit. I like it. Maybe I like it.

SPEAKER_04

You might die.

SPEAKER_01

It was worth it. No, I'm just kidding. No, hell no. All right, you US Patriot games. Tell me more. The Patriot games. The the government's gonna start holding like these competitions between the best students of like any specific sport in each state, basically, throughout the whole US. And if you lose, you get bop. No, I'm just kidding.

SPEAKER_04

No, wait, wait, calm down. We are on a podcast. I might even have to cut that part. Let's replay that. Remember the man, you are recording. No, but yeah, they might get bop. No, I'm just saying. Uh but dude, that is kind of crazy that we are in sectors.

SPEAKER_01

No, and like obviously, you know, it's gonna be. I don't even know if they've talked about like what the trophy's gonna be. You know what I mean? If you're gonna win like a million dollars or you're gonna get some sort of like it's probably it's probably gonna be like some sort of scholarship shit, right?

SPEAKER_04

I think I honestly think that the prize should be you win one million dollars and two years of college. You can pick any college. That's not bad. So, like, everyone everyone complains about college, and if we're letting the kids do this and they're showing us that they're our prime example of freedom of America, America, integrity, farms, then we should definitely let them be able to earn it. So, like, bruh, either half of a million dollars or a whole million dollars, and then they get one US ticket for two full years of any college they want to, from Harvard all the way down to the party schools.

Theater Finale And Three-Hour Episode

SPEAKER_01

But that's that's gonna like turn it into like an elite class type of thing. You know what I mean? Like, obviously, one class is gonna be elite, they're gonna win everything. One student. Yeah, no, like one whole school is gonna be focused on only this specific thing, and then that's when you get eliteness. So I'm gonna eliteness. So after that, it's gonna turn more into brawn over brains, and that's why the way things are now, it's obviously first is money, then is brains, then it's brawn. Because you can be hella smart, and you can not be like a football player, you're probably not gonna get you're gonna get a scholarship. But if you're a really good football player, and if you got a little bit of brains, you get a scholarship.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I'm just saying right now, it's a little bit fair. If you have brains and you already know what you want to do in life, and you already have the goal set before high school even got started, most likely you're going to college, right? Most likely you might get a scholarship with it, right? With the guy with no brains and have all this brawn and all this bullshit. Do you think he deserves a chance? But you got no brains, but he got the brawn. You can go to sports. That's why we're doing these wicked patriot games.

SPEAKER_01

It's Hunger Games, you know. The Hunger Games, the starving games are.

SPEAKER_04

I really hope that they do a bell every time someone gets eliminated. Oh my god. Like in our little boom, and then their name.

SPEAKER_01

This this could spiral out of out of control so quickly. I'm not even gonna lie to you. I'm not even gonna lie to you, bro.

SPEAKER_04

Have a hawk go go! Yeah, this is oh my gosh, American Eagle Fi with the name. I mean, we already have like the Olympics and shit like that, right? No, but that's telling us that we're better than everyone else. We already know that.

SPEAKER_01

Who's the better in here? Oh man. Well, I mean, technically, to go to the Olympics, you have to be the best overall. But I get your point. This is gonna be more like instead of like a four-year tradition, a one-year tradition, it's gonna be running completely.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, like let's be real. We're the best. Who's the better than us than the best? Man, this is gonna be so much fun, so viral, so entertainment. I really hope that they add ping pong. They're gonna do breakdancing. Please don't add breakdancing. Please don't they're gonna add that. Please don't, please don't let me go through a whole thing of them doing action. No, no, no. Golf, yes. Golf is amazing.

SPEAKER_01

I'm probably gonna add that too. That'll be fun. You know, rich people love fucking goal for whatever reason.

SPEAKER_04

I'm all for the Hunger Games. Let me know how we dress up. I'm ready. Wait, wait. Is anyone this mostly gonna be young people? I think. Okay, I'm ready for the Hunger Games. I'm ready. You're not young no more, Pops. Do I get to wait, wait, wait, wait. Do I get to endorse? And like the little package comes down to help them out. Like I endorse them and shoes drop down and they get to run the mile a little faster because they got doper shoes than everyone else.

SPEAKER_01

Nah, I think that's probably gonna be most likely like billionaires or some shit like that. But if they are real, maybe they could probably do that.

SPEAKER_04

I really hope they do that. That would be funny. Alright. What I really want to talk about, bro, it was Christmas. Oh, before we even get back to the Christmas bullshit. Well, not Christmas bullshit. Fa la la la la la la la la. It's more like phase is over. On Christmas Day, bro, everyone left phase. Everyone. Lacey. Everyone. I don't know all the other names.

SPEAKER_01

I know Snoop Dogg was part of FaZe for a while.

Cultural View Versus Lasting Rewatch

SPEAKER_04

I don't that might be a lie. I won't lie. All the phase members are more background characters except fucking Platboy Max and Lacey. Those are the only two. Oh, and the other kit. Forgot his name. How far the mighty have fallen. It's not even Mighty. Like, what was the point of this? They were big.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, at some point they had integrity and name. Yeah, they did. Now they just had money and corporate politics.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, they do.

SPEAKER_01

And then, you know, everybody dipped, and then FaZe came to an end just like that. I know, I like Lacey.

SPEAKER_00

Lacey, Lacey, Lacey. Oh, I think I know who Lacey is, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. But yeah, now, oh, it's sad. FaZe, bye. Actually, it was a cool, it was a good run.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I think they were top dogs back in like what the mid-2010s, right? That's where they were at their peak. Like that's when they were like being and phase was elite. Elite. Yeah, you have to be the best gamer or the best of anything. Just to be in phase. And then after a while, it just became are you popular or are you cool you're part of FaZe now?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I don't know. I don't know what happened to FaZe, but I guess Banks is really mad about this. He blew a lot of money on them, about 40 million to be exact. But whatever. It's not our fight, it's not our battle. But I just wanted to say R.I.P. RIP to FaZe clan. Another one bites the dust. And another one. And then another one. And another one bites the dust. Hey, they're gonna get you too. Another one bites the dust.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, calm down, MJ. Dun dun dun. Oh no, wait, that's Queen. Never mind. God damn it, dude. God damn it, dear.

SPEAKER_04

You embarrass me. My bad, my bad. Yeah, no, we're definitely done. All in all, this was a great podcast. Maybe a little. I knew it was gonna be bullshit, but it is our Christmas podcast. So we enjoy it.

SPEAKER_01

We go to the yap session.

SPEAKER_04

What's the tab? What anime are you ready for this next year?

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah, huh? It's the end of the year, and January's gonna be stacked. Yeah, so what's what's the number one? Frere, 100%. 110% is Frerein for January.

SPEAKER_03

I hate everything about you.

SPEAKER_01

That's what I'm excited for. That's really, really what I'm excited for. Everything you love. Dude, it's it's gonna be phenomenal, bro. I just do not like it. And every person that I've been talking to that knows anime, I'm just putting them on Freren. I'm like, watch it. It's pretty good. I tell them, you might find it a little boring, but if you give it a chance, you never know. And that's that's that's my motto.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, I'm ready for JJK in Black Clover, the actual hype.

SPEAKER_01

Man, everybody's gonna talk about that. Everybody's excited for that. Who's not excited for JJK? I know, but what you talk about Farron. No one gives it. I mean, yeah, JJK's gonna be out, it's gonna break every record, it's gonna win everything. It's it's gonna have a landslide on anything and everybody's paper. You are right. It's gonna be here, it's gonna win everything, it's gonna be awesome. I already know it's gonna be awesome. You are speaking facts.

SPEAKER_04

You are not wrong in anything you have said right now.

SPEAKER_01

So, am I excited? Yeah, but I'm excited for what I'm excited for, which is frame. Alright.

SPEAKER_04

Fuck fair. Alright, guys. Out of the short shorter than usual. A little shorter than usual. We kind of forgot to write everything down, but we'll figure it out.

SPEAKER_01

Nice little episode for two and the year.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, a little Christmas little episode. We might do a New Year's Eve one, or I might be drunk spending all of our money again. We'll find out. Just remember one thing, y'all. I'm smacking on these Japanese Cheeto teriyaki chips.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Buck, thank you for the Christmas present.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, sir.

SPEAKER_04

And remember the number one thing. Watch some motherfucking anime. I'm out of here, y'all. Out! Peace.
